This Embassy expires wasn't nearly as good as it was a year ago, of course due to the Covid situation I can't blame them. Many things I loved about this hotel was closed like the gym or pool. The breakfast was especially disappointing. But I still had a fun time with the people I was with.

We had a perfect stay at this hotel from the moment we checked in. The hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are large, clean, and the bed and pillows are super comfortable. The rooms are also tastefully decorated with numerous electrical outlets throughout the room as well as some USB outlets. Overall It’s a lovely place to stay!

Amazing hotel to stay! They have an awesome swimming pool, clean water, great food, and a cold beer. Very friendly staff and they have a good spa. I will visit and stay longer because I like the view in front of the room, which directly leads to the swimming pool. The rooms are a great size, and some of the views are breathtaking. You won't be disappointed!

We checked in late Friday. We got greeted nicely by your respectful staff. This hotel is nothing fancy, but its location was the best. It was very close to the train station, good restaurants, attractions, and the best clubs/bar. I will surely recommend this beautiful place to all of my friends and family. FIVE STARS service all around!

Location was the perfect spot on a main Street that was easily accessible. The service was great and very helpful! Not to mention they were very nice and polite people. The rooms were very homey and were not in any way uncomfortable.

My stay at this hotel was great! They've got a decent size jacuzzi and I was happy to know that kids(18 and under) are removed from the pool/jacuzzi section after 9pm. They also had a nice bar with karaoke.

A great time in its entirety. Rooms and service were great to say the least. The hotel was very open and modern which created it's own atmosphere once inside. The area can be a little congested during the afternoon and check out time. Overall a great experience.

The lobby is wonderful and inviting. So often you visit a hotel and you're dealing with an intrusive waiting area where all conversation is everyone's conversation. The rooms are Embassy suites rooms...always clean and inviting.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. I stayed here for a work trip and felt more comfortable than at many other “business hotels”.

The continental breakfast is awesome: made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, pancakes, sausage... the list goes on.

Their restaurant is ~3/5; a bit pricey for what you get, but their hours are great (open until 11pm).

Clean room, good view from my balcony (I watched a SpaceX launch!), and the hotel Aerospace-themed artwork is right up my alley.

Checked in I Saturday July 14. The manager checked us in and couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and completely acceptable. Always enjoy staying here.

We were very pleased with the wonderful breakfast offered. And how the pleasant person at the front desk helped us when our reservation and confirmation did not get completed.

It was ok. Good looking Embassy, but we were pretty much ignored while other professional events were going on. They had nightly receptions (light snacks and drinks, free) = nice touch. Mainly stayed here for a nearby tournament. I might give them another chance if we had to stay in this area again, but I'd look around first.

Great device and friendly environment. In a great location with plenty of shops and restaurants. Easy to get around.

Beautiful building with a very hospitable staff. Walking distance to down town Downey. The breakfast bar on the weekends is outstanding.

Everything here is great. Even the WiFi is better. The elevators are a little slow at times especially if you stay at one of the top floor. If you're on the 2nd floor it's not even worth it, just take the stairs.

Good central location outside of metro LA. Common areas have been rennovated and are beautiful. Rooms are okay. There are a couple that have been updated and they are amazing, but most are older and very dated. Staff said all rooms will be updated eventually. Staff is very nice. Complimentary breakfast is far better than most similar hotels. Bar and restaurant are decent.

I've been here many times and it is always just as great. Very good pool and room service, although I have very had it, it sounds good. Over all, 99.9% is great.💯-1. Keep it up!!

The kind of experience you can expect from Embassy Suites. Helpful, accommodating staff; clean, nicely appointed, spacious rooms; well lit, wide open atrium; and a great breakfast buffet that's included with your night's stay. I stayed at this one during the Christmas break and there were several private functions celebrating the holiday season - speaks to the level of hospitality that so many people spent their holiday celebrations there. The lobby and atrium were well decorated, with the Christmas spirit in mind. There is a live theatre adjacent the hotel that wasn't in season at the time, but the show schedule looked promising. Also, don't forget to take advantage of the daily, complimentary drinks and snacks between 4 and 7pm. And, be sure to get a no charge Hilton Honors membership that gives you a solid discount on your room fare, complimentary in-room WiFi, and point accumulation towards future Hilton discounts, and purchases on Amazon.

Front desk were very nice and very helpful. breakfast was great. I can't give a better rating because of the trash and fake nails we found under the bed while looking for my babies boodle​. Room seem to be cleaned but not quite as it should have been

Rooms are nice, being renovated while I was there. Location is good, close to lots of restaurants. The hotel shares the parking lot with a nice restaurant, Mimi's. There's a Target nearby. Service is polite and accommodating, free breakfast, and a bar and grill is inside the hotel.

My family and extended family booked a block of rooms here. There was 40+ of us. The staff was amazing. I know it had to be extremely hard dealing with a party that large, and God knows we get loud. They were great though, the accommodations were nice, comfy beds, delicious breakfast. Staff really was absolutely friendly and bent over backwards for us.

Reception was excellent. Staff made me feel right at home. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh. You get treated like a Queen. Breakfast buffet was delicious!!! Wonderful stay, definitely will back soon!

The location is great. In a nice part of town close to some really good restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast and complimentary snacks we're great like most Embassy Suites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here on future trips.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights after Thanksgiving while my son's marching band performed in the Hollywood Christmas Parade in LA. The room was above my expectation! The bed was extremely comfortable. I was worried not being able to travel without my pillow but the pillows were very comfortable! There was a CVS across the street for me to get some snacks and a refrigerator in the room, but there is a little store in the lobby if you don't want to venture out. There is a reception each evening but we were gone so I only got to enjoy this once. The breakfast each morning is amazing which was great since we were walking about 9 miles a day! If you went hungry it was because you just didn't like anything! They had an omelet station, fresh fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, juices, bagels, toast, soda, milk, oatmeal, and things I'm sure I'm forgetting every morning! The pool and hot tub area were amazing. We had dinners catered for us that were all very very good. The staff were all very helpful. If you need lodging in this area, I would highly recommend this hotel!

I came to stay for vacation. We've been here plenty of timws. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. The room service was bomb. Honestly they cleaned the entire place spotlessly, also the food is pretty good for the price of it. I've got to mention the interior design. Beautiful. I went this time for Christmas break and they had amazing decorations.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is the best you ever get anywhere. The free happy hour is not bad in the afternoon either. I always stay here when I am visiting LA

First time here and we enjoyed it very much! Free Parking! Versus $37 a night at other places. Inside Pool was very enjoyable, Staff was very helpful! Breakfast was absolutely wonderful, it had an omelet bar. So worth in what we payed.

Beautiful hotel! Great staff! Rooms are nice! Continental breakfast was great! Was very impressed till it came time for bed. There was an event going on right out side our room. The bad part is when they decided to clean up at 12 at night and that’s all I can hear outside my room. We had outside door open cause it’s hot in our room. We called downstairs cause we thought our air wasn’t working but was told can’t change it it’s the same temp for every room! That’s ridiculous! It’s hot!!! So we had to close the door and can Hear pipes banging on the freaking ground! soooooo loud! Went on for forever and had to get up to drive and catch a plane at 5. So make sure to get a room away from an event when you come to stay here.

This place is beautiful and the staff is so kind. The waiter Gilbert he's so attentive, he noticed I was a bit under the weather and brought up Tea, honey and lemon without having to request it. Tiny details like that help me feel comfortable and to cope with being away from home. I will definitely be coming back. :)

The room was pretty typical for Embassy Suites. The evening reception only had Bud and Bud Light for beer selection so my husband bought his beer. I had the free drinks, nothing special. The one great thing here was the food. I had a perfectly cooked piece of salmon and the full dinner was only $14. My husband enjoyed a tri-tip dinner for only $14 as well.

We stayed at The Embassy Suites for a wedding and I really enjoyed the place. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel had so many amenities and we took advantage of the bar and karaoke night. The complimentary breakfast can get crowded but is worth the wait. On top of that, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend the Embassy Suites to anyone.

Another Good Stay!
We have stayed here several times, and I’m glad to say that this stay was better than when we were here earlier this year. We arrived right around 4pm on Friday for a 2 night stay. We were checked in quickly and efficiently by Baltasar. I received the room that I had chosen earlier via E-check-in. The room was spacious and clean. Everything in the room worked and the morning housekeeping service was very good. A lighted magnifying mirror in the bath would be a good addition.

The morning breakfast was plentiful and good as usual. The omelet station was very popular, with one cook, and I waited behind a line of 6 people. The evening reception was also popular, constantly with a line of 6-10 people, with one bartender.

Saturday evening was very busy in the hotel with 2 large parties. We came back to the hotel around 6 pm and found the parking to be completely full. We parked in an adjoining lot, luckily no problems.

Sunday check out was slightly delayed, as we had to have an internet charge removed. Last time we were here, we had to have a beverage/food charge removed.

The location of this hotel is very good, conveniently close to restaurants, shopping and between major highways.
All in all, a very good stay!

The lobby is beautiful, great breakfast, awesome cocktail hour! My kids enjoyed the pool. The rooms are a different story. The room smelled like smoke, we had to constantly spray air freshener. The carpet had stains, the furniture had finger prints all over, the ceiling had black stuff, the shower had mildew. Big room,small bathroom, outdated decor. I expected more from a hilton very disappointed with the room.

The breakfast buffet setup is dumb. Why can't I just get my own food? Why do I have to repeatedly ask some dude behind a counter to hand me bacon and pancakes? This is the only breakfast style buffet I've ever had where the food is given to you by some dude behind a counter. All it does is create an unnecessarily long line that wouldn't happen if I could just get my own food. Also, the bedroom in my hotel room can't lock. I want to kids to stay out when my wife and I start boning, but we have to rely on the honor system instead of a door lock. Have you ever put yourself in a position where you have to rely on arguing children doing what you want and leaving you alone? Well let's just say they'll have another thing to talk about in the future with their therapists. Other than that, pretty decent room. Bacon was delicious btw.

Awesome hotel. They have great service and have a great breakfast buffet to get your day started off the right way. If your staying in LA I highly recommend this hotel.

Must-haves were a good breakfast and free parking. The breakfast was GREAT! 👍 The comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff, and room service was reasonably priced and just as delicious as breakfast. It's also family friendly. I recommend this location. 😃

Free Breakfast buffet was amazing. Room was spacious and clean but furniture very dated and old. Staff friendly and helpful

The hotel was nice, amazing complimentary breakfast. I hadn't realized I booked a handicap room and the entire bathroom floor was one floor...not ideal. Six of us on room, had to ask for more towels, and more bedding, plus I couldn't find the hair dryer, and the sofa bed was like sleeping on springs, not comfortable at all. I've stayed at lesser priced hotels and was a better stay.

Decent rooms, big but small bathrooms. Kind of stingy with the A.C. but complimentary evening cocktails and breakfast kinda make up for it. Parking wasn't bad and check in and out was quick. Would stay again.

When I checked in, I noticed they have a sign that says they will do whatever it takes to make it right, and sure enough they did. The first room we were given had a heavy cigarette smoke smell. I went downstairs and they immediately apologized and gave me another room.

The rooms itself are big with a dining room area with a sofa bed and the sleeping quarters with two queen beds. But, the rooms, decor and everything is dated and can use a major overhaul. The work table has wobbly legs so I had to slip some folded newspaper. The desk lamp outlet was very touchy, water stains on the balcony curtain top, wall paper peeling and some areas the seams are starting to separate and peel, ceiling water stains, and their queen beds were simply worn out.

This hotel is very busy and expect long lines at the free breakfast. They have one chef making fresh omlets manning four small pans, and on the other side, another chef scooping scrambled eggs and serving other stuff. Luckily the drink stations, cereals and other bread products are self serve. Another nice touch is they have free 5:30PM to 7:30PM happy hour

I walked through the lobby since I was in the area and was impressed by how modern and updated the interior was! It's very local specific in decor(the area is known for its contributions to the space exploration) and very inviting. The front desk was welcoming and helpful.

The property seemed older. The A/C was noisy. The staff was pleasant and professional. I would return to this property just because of the wonderful people that work there.

I absolutely love staying at the Embassy suites. The rooms are amazing, the reception is awesome and a huge selling point. Service is always friendly and helpful. I also enjoy their restaurant.

Clean, decent wifi, inside the rooms has been updated. Next to lots of shops and restaurants. Right on a major thoroughfare so light sleepers might need to bring earplugs. Friendly and accommodating staff. Only downside is the breakfast is pretty lame.

The Embassy Suites in Downey is beautiful. The outside patio and bar made for a very nice scene and hang out. The rooms however we're nothing special despite having a living room. The location of the hotel is next to a theatre and high school so parking around 3:00-4:00 pm was hard to find even in the hotel's parking lot

Beautiful hotel with an amazing happy hour! I was there as a guest of a party being held at the hotel. Several members of the party rented rooms and the rooms were like mini suites, with a little sitting/dining area and a large bedroom with a balcony. The rooms are along the outside and the center is reserved for greenery and a water feature. Free drinks and snacks at happy hour with your room key so that had to be one of the best parts and I think the breakfast might also be complimentary. Parking was easy and free. I forgot how quaint Downey is and you are right in the heart of downtown, with several food and shopping options within walking distance. One star off because lines were SUPER long for the one bartender as the evening progressed and you could see she was feeling the stress. Other than that, a great experience!

I stayed here for four nights. It exceeded my expectations. I will always look for this chain on future travels. The perks were amazing and the staff were all super friendly and made sure you were completely satisfied. The customer service was the best.

My daughter's birthday is in December so we like to bring her to Embassy to celebrate with the indoor pool and complementary evening snacks and complimentary breakfast. You can't go wrong. It's is such a beautiful hotel. My daughter loves coming every year.

Lots of night life close by... To bad fat security guard fallowed me around watching me commit no crimes at all. Needs better training on how to patrol and not stalk .

Everything was going fine here. Typical Embassy Suites with the happy hour and all. But on my last night they'd placed me immediately above a bar that was hosting a party until 10pm and I had a early flight the next morning. Not business traveler friendly on that occasion. Although they suggested that IF I stay there again I asked to be placed on a higher floor. Why is it always MY job to help them get THEIR job right?? Do I look like someone who wants to be located near the BAR??

Great location. Nice rooms. Awesome staff. A super plus was its located in a resistance farm. I loved the stay and the local agents are great.

A recently renovated hotel which has a beautiful lobby, nice and full breakfast buffet, clean rooms, and very friendly staff. The only small problem was because of the renovation, a bad smell was coming out of the bathroom. I talked to the front desk late at night , as the oder was unbearable. I only asked for an air refresher to change the oder, to say the least, but she promised to take care of that but nothing really happened.
Otherwise, a good location to access most of the attractions around you.

Want Modern decor? Cheap prices? Central location to cool shopping areas like Madison Ave? Trip hop upon entering? Then check out the pod hotel! It's a cool little place in a quiet neighborhood with free breakfast, a friendly staff, low low prices and Communal bathrooms and showers! Yeah, better keep that in mind.They were really clean though, especially for their communal status. Still. you won't be pooping in your own room.However, for 150 a night, it can't be beat and I'll happily run down the hall to take a tinkle if it means saving some scratch to be better spent on other Los Angeles Downey attractions.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is hot. Pretty amazing deal overall. Probably would have been even better if we planned ahead of time

It's had a remodel since I was last there. If you like quite, it's Nice if you come before others get off work. If you like a crowd atmosphere, try the bar after work.

DOWNFALL: In restaurant, waitress said she couldn't increase air conditioner because of the open concept design to lobby.

WHAT I LIKED: The garlic fries were the best. However, 2nd time I went, they didn't taste the same as a side dish. Yet the main Tri tip dinner is tender. I'll be back to order garlic fries as appetizer.

STAFF: The restaurant staff is lacking 4/5 star training but they are nice and we'll mannered. Only had one experience with front desk but they seemed attentive and willing and able.

The pull out bed is not very comfortable. I have stayed on many and this was the worst yet. Complementary breakfast was nice, but they should change it up and offer different things each day. The free drinks were a nice bonus. They aren't good about replacing the fountain drinks when they run out. But it is a beautiful hotel with a lovely pool and spa.

My room smelled like sewage, but the rest of the hotel is nice. Just a bad luck of the draw.

Really nice hotel although wifi wasnt working the entire day of a tech event I attended. I saw staff was very helpful trying to fix mic and other AV issues. As an event planner it would be a nightmare for me to have that happen so I would be extra careful if you were considering using the hotel's AV
