Wasnt throughly clean but nice sized room

I stayed here during the COVID-19 pandemic, having been transferred from a nearby Holiday Inn that closed due to low occupancy. The exterior sidewalk area was unkept, and the lobby and hallways were not clean. There was not an appearance of anything being recently sanitized, such as elevator buttons. The waste can opening area near the closed dining area still had evidence of stuck-on food - it had not been wiped after the last meal served. The room did not have a USB port for charging my phone. There was nothing communicated regarding extra sanitation precautions taken by housekeeping. The breakfast-to-go included a frozen pastry and this damaged apple. I would expect that any business still operating during this time would be sparkling clean and sanitized, and extra precautions clearly communicated.

Staying at this hotel was AMAZING. The staff made sure that I was comfortable. I have stayed at this hotel before. When I went to my room on this stay, the room was different. They switched my room without hesitation. This hotel is surrounded by all the popular places in the District.

Tiffany and Kendrick were excellent. This may be the friendliest front desk employees I have ever experienced. The hotel was clean. Room was clean. There was no excessive city noises. Convenient location to national mall and Smithsonian museums, etc. Convenient to the metro. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I visit the city.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were large and the layout was very efficient. Having a kitchen was a lifesaver. The breakfast was delicious, as were the weeknight hors d'oeuvres and bevvies. The hotel is within walking distance to many area attractions and we were grateful for the Whole Foods Market a few blocks away. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was ok to find by GPS. The staff was pleasant, respectful and attentive. Room was clean and functional. Stayed from Thursday night to Sunday morning. Enjoyed my stay very much

Just had a single overnight stay, but it was a good. The room for the cost is quite nice, and everything was pretty clean and tidy. The complementary breakfast was welcome when trying to get up and out to the convention center as quickly as possible. Would gladly stay again.

It may be a tad older than some of the other Hilton properties here but I like it better than some. Here the elevators don't take 5 to 10 mins to arrive. Everyone is friendly and there's two washers and two dryers at least if you need them. Breakfast is decent but not cook to order which is fine at least the breakfast crew are all friendly and helpful.

What amazing staff they have at this location!!! Front desk Stacey Wynter is amazing so warm and easy to talk to!!! Yahance is your personal tour guide to all the local places from good eats to a night on the town. Hot breakfast and social events are a plus

Nice quiet hotel, rooms a little dated and public/common spaces too small to accommodate large # of guests that gather for breakfast/social hours

We booked this hotel for July 4th week. My family and I have had the best time during our stay. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The hotel serves complimentary breakfast and a hot meal for dinner including drinks. The hotel is close to the subway station which made it very easy for us to go visit the sites. The hotel includes free WiFi which is chargeable at other hotels. Strongly recommend for all who wish to have a great stay while in DC.

The room is tidy, clean and, although the windows open up into another building, bright and feels airy. However, there is a lack of focus on security (I just said I needed key to room X and they gave it to me. Several people have been caught in the elevator when their keys wouldn't be acknowledged by the system) and the afternoon reception is more like Motel 6 - wine or water, and frozen chicken burgers on a toasted bin advertised as "sliders". Breakfast was much better with a little more selection. The front desk staff have answered any questions but they are not welcoming (I said hello, and good morning, and good afternoon and rarely got an acknowledgement). So likely an okay place to stay if you're cautious and have lower expectations than many of the Hilton properties in used to... Hilton in name but not in execution.

Homewood Suites is on Massachusetts Ave. NE nearthe National Christan Church, the rooms are a good size for five people to sleep and share a room. The breakfast is fair and the service and attentiveness during the social hour is good

Am staying here for the second time as ai first arrived March 18 and left four days later. The service is superb, breakfast divine, especially Turkey bacon/ham alternative, I don't take pork so it works out for me. If only this could be served every day 😂😂

Clean, comfy and very well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Only problem was the bathroom door was sort of hanging on by one hinge...if you can look past that then your good. In the morning, we arrived to breakfast kinda late. The manager made sure that we had enough of everything including turkey bacon and eggs, which was delicious!

Jessica at the front desk was AMAZING. She greet us every day with a big smile and took the time to listen to my children even if they got long stories. She made our stay feel like VIP'S. The breakfast was great and the afternoon happy hour was awesome. The room was perfect for 2 kids and one adult . The location is perfect .

Wonderful Stay this past weekend at Homewood Suites. Could not be happier with the cleanliness of the room and how wonderful everyone treated my family and I. From the porter when we arrived to the front desk (big shout out to Yeshi, she was wonderful), to the kitchen staff. Very professional. If we are ever in D.C. again we will be staying there. Overall the hotel is comfortable. Just a tiny bit dirty but it's expected at a hotel in this range. Our housekeeper was great and very friendly.

Solid breakfast with good suites. The suites have a reasonable separation between bedroom and the rest. The mini kitchen would get you by for awhile. But the socials and breakfast are pretty good!

Is an older hotel, but very nice fit a few day stay. Enjoyed the breakfast, there's a wide variety of options. Location is also very nice in proximity to a lot of things or a short cab ride away from the rest of the city

Staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate any requests I had. The room was clean and well appointed. Our room had no view, but suited our needs just fine.

3 NZ visitors, stayed for 3 nights. Absolutely first class accommodation. Room was lovely and spacious; excellent facilities; lovely and helpful staff; first class breakfast; great shuttle service to union Station. Would DEF love to stay here again. :)

My stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington was overall very pleasing. The only issue we had during the stay was the valet parking. The valet driver in no way assured us of the safety of our vehicle and our possessions inside. It was safe, though he drove rather erratically. The rooms and service were great otherwise. Pleasant stay.

Close to DC attractions. Cab, Uber, Lyft all quickly available from just about anywhere. We walked back from the White House but I wouldn't recommend walking everywhere. We stayed in a 2 queen bed suite. Room had full size refrigerator, dishwasher, 2 TVs, microwave, dishes. Didn't like that access to the bathroom was through the bedroom. Made it tough to do anything without waking someone up. The rooms were clean but looked old. The staff was very nice. There was a full buffet style breakfast. No pool at this location. They do have a small fitness center.

We always love anything Hilton. You always get clean rooms and comfortable beds guaranteed. Their are only two complaints that I have. The first would be our view, it was nothing but a brick wall and air units. Secondly was the valet parking. The specifications state you can park your own car problem being there is no where at all to do so. That means on top of what you already pay it is $45.00 a night extra to be able to have somewhere to park your car. Other than those two things it was a great stay as usual.

Very friendly staff in a great location. Was disappointed to find parking is 50 dollars a night. That is steep even for the city. Street parking is very confusing even when analysing the signs. Dc is notorious for shady parking practices. So much so the hotel would not confirm my parking directly in front of tje building. So do your due diligence. Breakfast is great here and included! Rooms are spacious and clean.

This hotel is a great choice if you want to explore the DC area. The hotel offers a managers reception most nights and breakfast each morning. When I checked in the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Above and beyond all excellent service!! My best hotel experience in Rochester and I have stayed at several various hotels there.

Visiting with a family member who was receiving medical treatment at the Mayo clinic I was not my usual organized self and I left some clothes in the room. At first I thought the clothes were at the cleaners--they weren't. I thought perhaps I might've left them at another home--I didn't.

Finally I remembered where I had last worn them and called Homewood weeks after my stay. Within the hour they located my items and let me know that they would take care of shipping them to me. I did receive them just two days later by federal express. I cannot. They even included a couple items I didn't realize I left there.

My first choice hotel in Rochester come through once again.

One of the best attributes is this hotel's location. A Whole Foods Market is conveniently located two blocks north of the hotel and a CVS pharmacy can be found two blocks south. Three blocks south of the hotel is the McPherson Square Metro Rail station. The White House is only two blocks further south.

My stay here was amazing! Is a excellent hotel near to all! A walking distance to Washington mall and museums. Very clean hotel and the rooms are perfect, comfortable beds, hot water, good a/c and extremely clean. The staff is awesome! Very friendly, helpful & attentive! This hotel have all that you need! We stayed here because they didn't have any room in the Capital Hilton in DC, however, I was very impressed. Getting there can be a little tricky because the GPS doesn't tell you to bear off to the right because it's right next to a heavy traveled rd, so we passed it but couldn't get over because of fencing so we just had to go around the block. Everything was extremely clean from the lobby bathrooms to the room itself. We never stayed in a property like this before and loved having the full kitchenette, a "sitting room" with a tv then double doors led to the bathroom and bedroom. The staff was super friendly and they even have a tiny market for all types of meals as well as some dry goods as well. We were expecting the usual continental breakfast but it was beyond that, they had so many options! The only downside is that it's not within walking distance to the main attractions DC has to offer, however, there was always an UBER close by.

Clean and quiet... just the way i like It! Love the suite set up with the living room and a full kitchen set up minus the oven.

Everything was fine. Entrance is a bit strange road-wise so let uber / lyft / taxi drivers know where you are instead of dropping a pin.

Room was nice. Breakfast was just okay. So called 'dinner' was nothing to write home about. I don't consider nachos, hot dogs and chip dinner.

The Homewood Suites made my week-long stay in DC wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially during the complimentary breakfasts and evening networking happy hours.
The rooms were clean and embodied the cozy feeling of being home. I would definitely return.

Good place to stay at with comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. Didn't have any problems with my 4 day stay during early September of 2012. Rooms were pretty big for 4 people, no more than 4 people can really fit in a normal sized room that includes 2 queen sized beds. Complimentary breakfast was included and was pretty good. Just walking distance from the White House and just a couple miles of a drive to many restaurants. All in all, I would definitely come back and would most likely recommend this place to a friend or family member.

Staff was friendly, the room was very nice/clean and generally a good place to stay; a short walk to the anywhere you need to go. I was, however, VERY DISAPPOINTED with the response from the staff regarding a broken toilet in my room. The flapper had broken and had I been at home, could probably have fixed it in a few minutes. On my way out for the evening, I stopped at the front desk to let them know about the problem. I returned 5 hours later and it was still broken. Because I know how toilets work and because I didn't have a problem with sticking my hand into the tank (except for the nasty rubber residue from the broken flapper getting all of over my hands), I was able to improvise. I called the front desk again and was met with a promise but nobody showed up. Finally, I went to bed. At checkout, I discussed the problem with the front desk staff and was met with a smile and some "sorrys" but that was it. There was no suggestion of reducing my bill or giving me free points, NOTHING. I have to say that I was truly dumbfounded that this could happen at a large hotel in downtown DC.

I am currently on a long stay and I wouldn't picked any other place. The staff is by far amazing And accommodating. The General Manager is attentive and friendly. The food is great. I am hooked and won't go anywhere else in the DC area. The monuments are accessible. Logan Circle and DuPont Circle are my backyard.

Staff was very helpful. Good location about 10 minute walk to the metro. Nice restaurants around too.
