While the room was a little small (I'm from Texas haha) it was clean and very nice! The tub was amazing, the staff was amazing as well, and breakfast was delicious!

Unexpected perk, "Kyoto tokyu hotel" is understood by all local taxi drivers, so we could always get back home in a pinch.

Lovely hotel. Well appointed communal areas. Comfortable rooms in particular rooms on 8th floor. Roof terrace bar. Very good breakfast, free shuttle bus to/from hotel to Kyoto station. Reception and concierge staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel is a remote from centre and sights and bar prices extortionate at £9.50 for a beer during rugby. In summary a very comfortable and satisfying stay.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are about average size for two queen size beds. They're is a shuttle that can take you to the train station where there is a good selection of restaurants to choose from. You can not adjust the temperature in the room and it's set to near 75° Fahrenheit.

The service at this hotel was excellent, from the bell hops, the conceriage, on. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms are a little small but are well stocked with razors, toothbrushes, etc. Things not in the room can be requested from the staff, like an iron. One note, there is a ¥200 per person per day charge that has to be paid at check in and is not part of the booking price.

Location of the hotel is okay but not close to a train station. The hotel does offer a free transfer shuttle from Kyoto Station. There are ready availability of cabs or you can walk if you are up to it.

On site French restaurant was nice, staff has some English proficiency but are most comfortable in Japanese. Food was good quality, we had the set menu which had some very good quality courses and others that were not as good (the main beef course was tough which was disappointing).

I would stay here again.

旅行で利用しました。 京都駅から少し遠いですが、京都駅八条口から送迎バスが出てたので不便さは感じませんでした。 コンビニは徒歩4～5分の所にローソンがあります。 ホテルは和風な(ちょっとモダンな感じ)デザインで綺麗です。 部屋も清潔でベッドは良質なマットで寝心地最高でした。 スタッフの皆さんも笑顔で親切にして下さったのでとても良いホテルだと思います。

京都駅から少し離れていて、少し上階や廊下の音が聞こえるが、ロビーは静かで、狭いながらも中庭のしつらえが良い。 朝食は、バイキングもあるが、たん熊の和定食はおすすめ。白いご飯かお粥が選べて、（お味噌汁も）お替わりもできる。生麩や玉子焼きと鮭、鶏肉となすなどの炊き合わせ、のり、たらこ、お漬け物など、ご飯のお供がたくさんで、ついついおかわりをしてしまう。チケットをもらってバイキングのレストランの方へ行くと、テイクアウトのコーヒーもいただける。和食ではコーヒーが飲めないかと思っていたので、うれしいサービス。 アメニティも充実しているが、使わずに、置いてあるグリーンコインをフロントに持っていくと、環境保全に寄与することになるらしい。 スタッフは自然な笑顔の丁寧な対応で、気持ちよく過ごせた。

The Tokyu hotel is very well situated to many restaurants, transport and the main CBD. It's a great choice for tourists which is evident with a large flow of tour bus clients.
Overall presentation of the hotel is good with many staff ready to greet you.
English speaking staff is patchy with not all staff speaking english which was problematic when they were in key roles such as bell captain. I was frustrated at times with the staff just avoiding me as I looked like I did not speak Japanese so they just avoided me.
Rooms were what I would expect of a 3-4 star hotel. Simple, what they promised and no more.
The bathroom was cramped and definitely "one person at a time".
The room lacked power points in logical places however they did make up for this with a powered USB charging station on the bedside table.
Room cleaning was patchy with one day our room was never cleaned, no new towels either.
Breakfast was good however I highly recommend avoiding peak times - especially when the bus tours were present.
The coffee machines were broken frequently and staff were not proactive in fixing them. There were lines of up to 12 people for a coffee and the staff were just happy to ignore this.
Foods were not proactively replaced as they were used up and again I needed to request simple things like condiments.
Overall the hotel is a good "mid to high end" tourist hotel.

A very picturesque temple which is worth checking out. You can get an affordable tour of the temple and employ the services of a local tour guide. Shouldn't take more than 30-60 minutes to see.

The hotel is amazing. It offers complementary shuttle bus service from the Kyoto station. The check in was really smooth, and the staffs are very helpful. Cleanliness and amenities are amazing.

Oh, please note that there are two restaurants in the hotel: one serves American style food, and other serves Japanese. The food are just awesome. The lobby is also beautiful. However, the price is bit higher, but the standard justifies it very much.

Hotel has for Japan large rooms, several restaurants, a very nice bar. These last two have a view on the beautiful landscaped inner water-garden with waterfalls.
The complementary shuttle bus brings you in 15 minutes to the Kyoto JR station.
Within walking distance is the Hongwan-ji Buddhist temple complex

Good hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very close to train station and lost of shopping. In the hotel lobby you can dress up in traditional Japanese outfits (Kimono for ladies and Samurai for men) and have your pictures taken at no charge.

This hotel was amazing. They provide a free shuttle buses s to and from the station making public transport easy and convenient. The hotel has great facilities and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were awesome and the bathrooms were very nice.

i had dinner at Tankuma. HAMO. marvelous. high price but worth it.

We were on a tour around the various places in Japan. The location wasn't too far away from the bus station, and you could definitely underestimate the quality from the outside. The rooms were perfect, although we had to take seperate rooms for the space. The beds were comfy and everything. And there wasn't much service for us besides bringing our luggages around.

Great sized room, spacious bathroom, the rooms have been updated. Front desk and concierge are helpful with their guest. The best thing is that they made my family feel welcomed.

The room was a nice fusion of Western hotels with Japanese styling. The breakfast here is unbelievable and the hotel concierge was more than happy to call and book reservations for us at a local restaurant for dinner, she even printed out the map for us to give the taxi driver to get there.

Room was a little on the small side, but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was not very expancive and the price was high. Shower not terribly strong. Costomer service was very good and speaks English well.

First off, this hotel is really easy to get to since they provide a shuttle service that transports guests to/from Kyoto station for free. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the bathrooms have the famous Japanese toilets with a built-in bidet/spray. The Wi-Fi is fast, free, and easy to use. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. One Chinese-speaking gentleman was able to recommend a place for dinner and help us reserve a spot.

Great location for exploring Kyoto. Clean rooms. Nice grounds. Breakfast not included, but there are several local grocery stores close by and a good self-service laundry mat very close by.

It looked super fancy on the outside, and was ACTUALLY super fancy on the inside. When I first entered I felt like I was entering a palace. The beds even passed the flop test.

Very pretty lobby area. Very tight rooms and windows were outdated but the bathroom is pretty nice. Customer service was very good. Gym is pretty lacking and they make you sign a hilarious liability waiver.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We were given a free upgrade (no idea why) but our room was a comfortable size and immaculate! The free shuttle between the hotel and the station is very convenient. I fell in love with Kyoto, and I will definitely go back to this city and stay at this hotel.
