I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt in New York! Customer service was absolutely phenomenal couldn’t thank them enough. Hotel is in the middle of Manhattan so there’s plenty of restaurants and places to go to for events! If your looking for a high end stay with high end customer services and amenities then this is the hotel to book. I’ll definitely will be coming back after such a great stay.

Great location for business traveller. The rooms are nice and fit for purpose. The service could be better but I Guess that’s how most of hotel service in New York. What I hated most was calling room service for basic supplies which should be standard. As simple as iron, shower gel, a shoe shiner. But apart from that, the stay is easy and comfortable.

Is it a 3 or 4 rating? Hotel is in a great location. Grand Central has plenty of shops and ofcourse train and subway connections. Like the grand entrance. On the downside this is a mass market place. Try using elevators at peak times and you’re in for a wait. Gym is nice but gets really busy. No real lounge / coffee shop and the only public area which serves drinks is a bit industrial. Worst bit? Not only is the bathroom small but you don’t get shower gel! A Grand Hyatt hotel only offers sticky soap is a poor poor show. Add onto this no mini bar and get your water yourself and then you get the idea of a pack em in and get em out approach. I do keep returning however and either bring my own shower gel or buy one from across the road. Can’t believe this is the case for such a “Grand” hotel! Stay if you want a good bed, convenient location and Hyatt points; stay away if you need basic amenities, luxury and haven’t bargained for a packaged holiday.

This location was picked for business. Regarding business, the meeting space was fantastic. The lunch prepared was delicious. There were also ample snacks and beverages to pick from. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location put you close to walking, central station, and driving of majority of places. There were prompt responses when addressing questions coming up to stay through e-mail. Check-in was quick and friendly, as was check-out. Bell boys were helpful obtaining taxi services. Staff support for meeting lunches were clean and helpful. All around, fantastic support.

Nice room. Good service. Upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Had an executive package which included alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and food in the evening well worth having that as NY is so expensive. A few little things could be improved on with housekeeping as had to ask for the sofa bed to be made up twice but other than that a great location as right next to grand central station which was central to everything. Take some comfortable shoes as you will do alot of walking!

The room was nice and well furnished, with a large TV and a nice couch. It's right next to grand central Station, which is very convenient. The staff is very nice and the room came with a 15 dollar credit for the (overpriced) hotel market, but it was enough to get us some breakfast. Overall a nice room, and good service.

Location: great if you are taking subway. Walking distance to Times Square. Crazy traffic due to the Grand Central station. If you want to be near Central Park, then this is not ideal. Smelly near the station too!
Service: hit and miss. Some staff members are friendly, some act like they would rather be somewhere else!!
Room Service: Stingy with towels and amenities, dusty tables
Rooms: quite roomy, nice wardrobe, did not like glass doors in the bathroom!
Nice, but unsupervised fitness center, no mats!
Would I come back again: NO

Best location among all hotels in NYC!
We stayed 6days for our trip to NYC.
This hotel is located beside Grand central station so was very convenient to access anywhere not only to the City but also towards the suburb.
The hotel offered $25 coupon per day which we could buy goods like water, juice or snacks at the shop on the 1st floor.
The front staff was kind overall.
Will come back if I have another chance to visit the City.

I had the pleasure of staying here for a weekend and I must say, this hotel is definitely worth its weight in gold. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even got me into my room earlier than expected! Clean and well kept, the amenities included everything one would need for a weekend getaway. The biggest selling point for me is that its located right by the Grand Central Station. Great for photos and traveling, you can pretty much get anywhere in Manhattan because of the near by subway. There's only one thing I wish the hotel did have and that would be a pool! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this establishment to any friends and family.

Staff are great. Location is very good, you can go through the hall to Grand Central without going outdoors. Doormen were so helpful in getting taxis. Bed was very comfortable. Closet space is great.
Hotel itself is somewhat dated. Rooms have been updated in kind of a slapdash way. Furniture seems not to fit as well as it might. Nice small refrigerator. Bathroom was tiny, with almost no counter or shelf space. Not even a hook for a robe. Motion sensor night light in bathroom is a great idea, but ours blinked on and off all the time when it should have stayed on. Horrible toilet paper. There is NO literature in the room about the hotel's features or amenities. Nothing is even available. I find that very odd, and unhelpful. Asked for a robe, nothing. Asked again the next day, they asked Small or Large, I said Large, and they brought Small. Oh well, it worked. Club Room was very nice, but I was surprised wine was an extra charge. Rooftop Tour is lots of fun. Take it if you can....

Love this place. Great location for hitting mid-town, and super great location for subway/train use. Rooms are NY small, but comfortable. Take advantage of the Grand Central Terminal self-tour (a part of your destination fee), and there is a fun 'roof tour', if your there the days they offer it.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Room floorplan is a little weird, we had a king with a sofa on the side but there's barely any room between the sofa and the bed. Room service was also a bit slow when we asked for more towels and soap, took almost an hour. Other than that was a pleasant stay, the 24/7 cafe downstairs has good selections and decent food.

We walked in looking for a shop that was next door rather than within the hotel. Staff/concierge was extremely courteous and helped us confirm the location of the shop we were looking for and provided directions despite the fact we were not staying there. Location is very good for getting to Grand Central (and this most surrounding areas) compared to other hotels nearby. Also going by the lobby, it seems relatively newly renovated or very, very well maintained.

Our group arrived a bit behind us so we waited in the lobby for a few minutes. The staff was great and took the initiative to check on us and try to help us. The rooms are as advertised. Very convenient to Grand Central. While here, take the short walk to Bryant Park. It’s well worth the visit.

Good location. Rooms are a great size with a nice size bathroom. Bathroom has a tub which was a pleasant surprise. Only complaint is the mini fridge is awkward. As soon as you put something in it tilts. Some of the furniture is obviously aged, as scratches and chipped paint. But it's overall clean.

Rooms are a reasonable size and nicely decorated. The location is great with easy access to Grand Central station and Times Square. On the negative side, the beds are very uncomfortable. They offered no literature on amenities available; and the one night I tried to call for room service, it was unavailable. No in-room coffee (never seen that before) and no robes provided. I will definitely stay elsewhere next time due to lack of amenities for the price.

Had a room on the 21st floor. View wasn't great as building immediately opposite but only spent time there to sleep and showers and catching up on news and weather in the morning. Comfy bed, good size room with good facilities including a large flat screen TV. Bathroom was good size with bath with overhead shower. No noise either so got great nights sleep.

Nothing can beat the location at Grand Central STATION in Manhattan. The airport bus is half a block away. Very large hotel with Nee York service . Get ready to pay for everything you may have thought is free. The hotel adds a hidden resort or they call it destination fee.

Nice lobby, large gym but no pool. Large Grand Club with good breakfast.

Be aware some rooms are nice others are simply bad outdated and impractical.

Excellent location. smallish rooms and beds. Phone didn’t work in Room. It took them 3.5 hours to check us in! Granted we were a large party with multiple rooms booked, but I sat in the lobby for 3.5 hours waiting. A little ridiculous, and our booking was made well in advance so the rooms should have been ready. Don’t bother trying to reach the front desk, you will be on hold forever. Very heavy doors with no door stop which makes it difficult to get luggage in and out. The door slammed on me and caused a large painful bruise. Pool was “closed”. No coffee maker in room and Overpriced coffee in lobby. Weird light switch panel that only works half of the time. Comfortable beds.

Excellent place to grab drinks after work. I am from NY so i have never stayed in here but the customer service from the moment you walk through the lobby is excellent. I love coming here for happy hour/ after work drinks. I do wish they had a special though as drinks are pricey. Bartenders are excellent (they know how to make drinks correctly) and there are employees who work around (not servers/ but just employees) that make sure you are having a good time and everything is going well.

Located in a good area. Close to Grand Central station, public transport, restaurants and shops. Although the rooms are small but clean and well maintained. Good breakfast with many choices. The business center is available but no service is for free. Using Internet is free if you use your own laptop or device. The hotel is busy but no big deal because the staff are fast and the elevators are efficient. Although no coffee ☕ maker or kettle in the room, you may ask the house keeping who would provide with cups and necessary items. My overall rating is 4.4

Great location! Close to the FDR, close to great restaurants and shopping, close to the theater district. The staff we engaged with were very friendly and courteous, and truly seemed to have service in their minds. There is a "market" on the lobby floor roughly like a Starbucks (unaffiliated) with breakfast-on-the-go items, coffee drinks, but also snacks, and a small collection of wine and beer.just above the lobby is an eatery called New York Central where we had a surprisingly good brunch, served by just outstanding staff. Our room was a suite with a great view to the west, and despite being up above pretty busy streets we didn't hear traffic at all unless someone laid into the horn. The decor in The lobby is a bit dated, but who spends time in hotel lobbies? An excellent experience.

Great location, right next to grand central station. The hotel is big and common areas are well kept. Staff is very friendly and the rooms for (professional) events are great. The room was nice but not really clean. It smelled a little, so we were somewhat disappointed. Everything else was great.

Great for overnight stay. Very clean and attractive facility. I paid extra for a room with a view and saw a majorly large crane out my window, however, my request for early check-in was granted without extra cost which completely made up for the crane.

Super easy access to this hotel from inside Grand Central Station. Staff that checked us in was extremely friendly and gave great advice on where to eat, not limiting suggestions to inside the facility.

We weren't there long enough to take advantage of any extra amenities other than storing bags on our departure date for a small fee, but I trust that it's all great if anything in line with my actual experience.

Great location adjacent to Grand Central Station and near the Chrysler Building... Convenient to most things. Fantastically helpful check-in staff (especially Rosa & Patty), doormen, and concierge services. Rooms have everything you need. Tastefully modern decor with comfy beds. Two thumbs up!

8

Impressive lobby in this hotel. Furniture and decor in rooms could do with an update, but obviously with the volume of customers going through the hotel, shutting down would probably cost them too much. Rooms are big, especially compared to those of times square hotels. Overall the hotel is a nice place to get some sleep at night. You'll be in New York, all you'll be doing in the room is sleeping.
The best thing about the hotel is the positioning of it. It's in a perfect location to access all of the 'main attractions' of New York. It's walking distance to most places and, if they're a bit far for you, the hotel is connected to Grand Central Station. This means not only easy access to the subway system but also to all of the shops and food court.
Highly recommended hotel, especially for those on their first trip to New York.

Had a regular room, clean enough with a view on the Chrysler building. I didn't make use of any of the services besides the room accomodation so I can't comment on any of the additional services. Every day room was nicely cleaned up and toiletries were added when used. The room I stayed in had a 55 inch TV which was quite even though the picture quality was not very good. In the rooms you can find a fridge, iron and ironing board, safe, plenty of storage drawers and a large closet where clothes can be hanged and a shower (no bath).

The Grand Hyatt New York is an incredible hotel. The staff there are all incredibly friendly and warm. This hotel, it's staff, and it's management display the epitome of what it means to be hospitable and accommodating. They bend over backwards to make everyone feel at home, and do so with a genuine smile on their faces. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. I am looking forward to my next stay.

Rooms are super small, the beds sheets did not smell as if they were cleaned or changed after previous occupant. Additionally they were not as comfortable as you would expect for the caliber of establishment associated with the Grand Hyatt. Water has strong chlorine fragrance. Dirty room service tray stayed in hallway for over 8 hours before being removed. The only saving grace was the hotel front desk staff. They were fun and extremely helpful.

The Grand Hyatt is in a great location right next to Grand Central Terminal. It's within walking distance of Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza and is an easy subway ride away from many other places in Manhattan and beyond. We even walked from the upper west side, though Central Park, and down 5th Avenue to see the Christmas decorations, to the hotel. I found the hotel to be clean and efficiently managed. It served our needs well for a winter weekend in NYC.

Giving it three stars because that's what the hotel should be rated. When I see "four star hotel" I expect a little extra and this place wasn't that. It looks fancy but there isn't really anything better about it. I've stayed in two star hotels as nice as this place that don't charge extra to hold your bags on checkout, give you complimentary bottles of water, you know little things. The beds were rock hard some of the hardest I've ever slept on.

We stated at the Grand Hyatt New York on our only trip to Manhattan. The price was very reasonable, and the lobby and public areas are very well kept. The staff was helpful, and the food at the restaurant was of a high quality. This is close to Times Square, and centrally located in Manhattan. Ideal location for tourist and sightseeing activities. The concierge desk was very helpful.
The reason for not rating a five star was that the room itself had a few deficiencies: the drain flies in the bathroom were an annoyance, and the room was slightly less well kept than the hotel overall. Clean and functional, but not what I would call posh. Still, at the price it was well worth our stay.

I am a loyal member and have stayed in the Hyatt’s for 30 nights this year alone. The reason I have given two stars is because I didn’t have a complaint with the upgraded rooms. It was the service (or lack thereof) that pushed me to give them such low ratings during my last stay in early November. I have a lot of friends who hated staying at this location but I was fine - until now. Don’t waste your money on this property - stay at the Hyatt Centric in Times Square or any other smaller hyatt property. Not worth your money.

Wonderful place. Friendly employees. Great food. Perfect location. Only one complaint, do NOT ask them for directions. The employee we asked in the restaurant sent us the exact opposite direction of where we wanted to go....Central Park! LOL. It was a nice walk (made it to the Garment District before we figured out we were headed in the wrong direction). But, overall, I'd stay there again.

I was here for a conference. The stage/ballroom area was a pretty good size for everyone to sit comfortably once they opened up the side areas. The reception area was a little cramped relative to the main stage area. Lots of little seats throughout the area if you need to make some calls or get some quick work done. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

2 stars for environmental reasons. The building's pipes are so old that it takes over 5 mins for the shower water to get warm. That's a lot of water wasted if you add it up across guests. Because this is pretty much a crime against the planet in my books, 2 stars.

If I try really hard to ignore this, the service is excellent, rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great. I can see that employees genuinely try to offer great service.

Overall, I would choose another hotel next time just because I want to be one less person wasting water.

Big hotel, very convenient for Grand Central (although they got rid of special entrance and turned it into bank...looks like profit over guests move). Rooms average comfort and good noise proofing. Staff treat you like a number in thus huge hotel.

I was there for a conference, not as a staying guest. The location and amenities were good. Not sure if the hotel provided food or not, but it was great if they did. Only issue was finding things based on the digital maps was sometimes a little confusing. Once you figured out their system it was a bit of a duh moment, but it wasn't as clear as it could have been. Climate and seating during the conference was comfortable, and did a good job of keeping non-conference goers to their side of the hotel even though part of it was close to the lobby by the ballroom.

A nice modern hotel in a great location. It's literally attached to Grand Central Station, so you can get anywhere in the city very quickly, especially the east side. The rooms are clean and well appointed with an emphasis on green. The AC turns off if you are not in the room. Lights automatically turn off if you are not using them.

I chose this hotel because of the location. It is expensive and the room need a lot of update. The price I paid for the room I stay? Not worth it. The amenities in the room is like a three star hotel. The ironing board has stain on it, the closet is old and smelt. The safe did not work and I have to wait for an engineer to ply it open after 2 hours. As a result I have to rush my breakfast to get to my meeting. Totally not worth my experience with the price I paid.

The Grand Hyatt at Central Station is a unique gem in the middle of a sprawling metropolis. It served as a great launching point for adventures, and the rooms were kept clean and comfortable. Beautiful lobby, it's a little confusing getting to ballroom elevators as there are multiple levels to the lobby but everything was very clean and expensive looking. I was there for a graduate student orientation and it served the purpose well. A huge balloon for 3,000 people and smaller rooms for 25-50 people. The desserts and food were pretty good considering. And the bathroom was really nice, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful.

Grand Hyatt is a very large hotel right next to Grand Central station. The rooms are nicely appointed and the common areas definitely feel very grand. Upgrading to a grand club room for access to the lounge is definitely worth it. During my stay the evening spread included sushi rolls, steak, pita and hummus, salad, and a selection of desserts. They also have a nice outdoor terrace for the grand club. You almost forget that you're right in midtown Manhattan. The gym is on the top floor and has plenty of cardio and weight equipment. Overall, very pleasant stay.

The Grand Hyatt Midtown New York is centrally located for a brisk walk to Timesquare. It is right next door to Grand Central Station. Both of these places are VERY interesting to hang out. I visited these areas on foot alone and I was just fine!
The staff at the Grand Hyatt Midtown, New York were very friendly and accommodating. I did have issues & concerns with their restaurant.
Check out the Hyatt when you get to New York!

The location is very convenient. The room was large, clean and logically laid out. I ask and got a quiet room. The bathroom was tiny and a bit dated. The public areas were opulent and well maintained.

The hotel has a beautiful lobby and the room was very spacious and clean. The staff is kind of surly and not very helpful. The computer to print boarding passses didn't work and I got poor information from the staff. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good as was the service. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The location is excellent.

I was super excited about my stay. The room was very nice I had enough space it wasn't your typical room in the city. I went to one of my colleagues rooms and saw the limited amount of space for the same price l. The room with centrally located the Inn Hotel bar was very busy which I like. What I didn't like was the woman who told me that I couldn't bring the drink that I had in my hand in the lounge area she reminded me that they're there for business it bothered me a little bit but I just brushed It Off. Most bars in the hotel that you're staying in aren't going to be really bent out of shape if you have one drink in your hand when you enter. I love the hashtag being able to see your face on the board definitely a good time. I certainly recommended it back when I came home to Connecticut or administrative assistance to continue to book people there for business

Very nice spacious room with an incredible view. Bathroom facilities were good. Staff were friendly which was good. The lobby market was good for breakfast if you didn't want to go far

Friendly staff at the front reception area, they told me quickly and nicely where I needed to go and I even got a free chocolate! Biggest plus for me here was the valet, a little pricey but it's worth it for he quick service and how well they took care of me. Especially if you hate driving in the midtown area.

the convenience of this Hotel from the train station is awesome. We liked our room but was disappointed that our on-line check in did not make a difference - we had to wait. Our room had a flickering light problem in the closet and the bellhop was suppose to report to the front desk (we were there 3 days) nothing was corrected. Room size was fine for us. There was a special offer through email for $10 to upgrade room - I had tried to do it again after I read it and said it was no longer available. Called and they said they could not do anything to rectify this - too bad that would have been a great way to make up for the wait to get into the room.

I liked it but still didn't meet my expectations. Pricing is affordable. But rooms are small and we didn't even have a coffee machine in our room neither a water bottle. Will prefer another hotel next time.

The Grand Hyatt hotel in New York city is an absolutely beautiful hotel if you can afford it. The ambience is electrifying and breathtaking all at the same time. The bar is usually busy but well worth a visit. The downside is that barstaff seems minimal in that you may end up getting your own drinks because the servers are either too busy or nowhere to be found. And when you get the bill for your outrageously over-priced beers, shots, and cocktails, don't faint as I almost did and keep in mind that you are next door to Grand Central Station in the heart of New York City at the lovely Grand Hyatt hotel.

The staff at this hotel are really wonderful. Very attentive and polite. We checked in early and no one reminded us that we were early, they just found us a room and in fact asked what floor we would like Waiter in restaurant was also very attentive

This hotel has lots of competition and is larger than others like Westin or Marriott however it doesn't have simple things like robes or in room coffee maker which would go a long way to make it feel a little more personal even though it's a huge hotel.

Nice hotel, big and clean. Also in the middle of everything in midtown. This is all great if that's what you like or need. But, this comes with noise and an insanely busy lobby. I think I just prefer the smaller boutiques.

At check in, our room was not ready. We had to wait in long front desk line again because concierge could not assist. Very annoying waste of 1st hour in hotel. Room was smaller than original dirty room but didn't want to lose additional time. The event was great. The band was amazing. The room was packed little too tight for 1000+ attendees but was adequate. Food was mediocre. Wait staff was overwhelmed. Party was great though. Was so convenient being a hotel guest where event took place . Was

Ballroom was very well organized with plentiful staff for a pleasurable dining experience. Tech staff allowed a smooth presentation for the dinner, and we kept a prompt time table. There's no rush to leave and the professionalism is tops.

Very good value for its price.
Very clean and spacious rooms with modern look.
Friendly employees greet you and willing to help you with any problem you have.
Various amenities available to ease your travel.
Located right next to Grand Central Terminal but very quiet and window blind can block any light from outside.
From my personal experience, early check-in was possible

Does Trump still own the property? It a excellent hotel. And he did a wonderful job with it development. That property makes big profits! If president Trump can enhance that community we have good leadership in Washington. In the 1970s it was a old hotel. And the area needed a facelift, the hotel provides good food, service and good security. Trump did excellent job with the economic development of this property. Let give him a chance in the White House. He created many jobs at this hotel. And he can do the same if America gave him the chance.

Really nice stay. We were in a Suite. Although there were some minor problems, the staff corrected them quickly. The rooms are comfortable, and relatively quiet for New York City. Air conditioning and heat works great. Well appointed rooms and clean.

Located right between the Chrysler building and Grand Central Station. Check in was a breeze. The room was spacious and classy, with modern decor and outlets for phone chargers right on the headboard. Basic WiFi was free, but playing music on the TV was an additional charge. The hotel bar hung out over the street offering an excellent view, but the drinks were very pricey.

A nice hotel with a upscale, trendy vibe, but definitely feels like a business traveler hotel. The bar was nice and drinks all around were good. Not a bad choice for a work trip.

Convenient Location, densely packed hotel. With direct access to the Grand Central, this Hyatt is very convenient for transportation, although it's not very close to tourist locations. Reflecting this, the weekend prices are much less than the Times Square venues of similar or lower reputation. The hotel is huge with many rooms, which means elevators could take forever to arrive, then stop on every floor. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated but the utility of the furniture can be weird. Light switches can be finicky, drawers aren't smooth, and mirror is placed in a strange location. Hot water took a few minutes to come out on the sink, and the shower head sprayed extra water out on top of the curtain until the socket was rotated to the right angle. However these things are pretty common and almost expected in NYC hotels, in addition to the small rooms. There was no noise from outside, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning system was relatively quiet and responsive so getting a good night's sleep was not an issue, which is a big plus compared to many NYC hotels.

We stayed at the Hyatt after great Black Friday Deals.

The hotels location is right on Grand Central Station so getting anywhere in NYC via public transport is easy. And this also allows for cheap Airport Transfers on the NYC Airporter as it stops 20m away from the front door.

We booked a Deluxe Twin Double room, Which was a very spacious and clean space, however the bathroom is quite small, but usable with modern and good features.

The beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows available on request. The TV was also quite large and had a great selection of Live TV options or Paid On Demand Movies. The lights are controlled by touch sensitive panels, which were a bit difficult to operate at first as apposed to a traditional switch.

In addition there is 24/7 security at the front door which you have to show your room key after 1am, which makes the hotel feel safe.

Overall we had a brilliant stay at the Hyatt, there were no issues, never had to wait for 1 of the 10 elevators, a very comfortable stay and I see no reason for people to be turned away by any of the negative reviews.

My school hosted an alumni event in the ballroom. It was a nice time. Very big space and the catering was delicious. It was hard to find at least for me. I left Grand Central and saw multiple signs but took a while to figure out how to get from those signs to the hotel. But very convenient that it is around the corner from Grand Central for travel purposes

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt NYC when we were sight seeing with 3 kids the week after Christmas. The staff was great. Very helpful and thoughtful. The Director of Guest Services, Michael Savastano, went out of his way to help us with directions and advice. Rooms were great for a city hotel.

The Hyatt is a great hotel. I'd stay there again. The good -- Great location. It's easy walking distance to Times Sq, Rockefeller center, and easy train downtown. The staff was helpful and polite. The nightly price was good. The rooms were big for NYC. And, most importantly, quiet. The bad: The lobby is connected to GCS, so there's LOTS of foot traffic. You almost feel like you're in the terminal. Hence, there's no real place to relax downstairs (unless you want to do it with hundreds of people). If they redesigned the lobby, it could be wonderful. Food at the hotel is overpriced...even for NYC. They messed up my reservation the first night, but made up for it afterwards. Bottom line: Good hotel, great location, good rooms. Eat and relax elsewhere in NYC.

I'm tempted to give 4 stars for this hotel because it's hard to find good hotels at reasonable prices in nyc. This hotel is decent/good. It's clean, has a nice lobby, has a bar and restaurant. The restaurant caused food poisoning though and a rough next day because of it. That aside the bed is very uncomfortable. You can hear some traffic even on a higher floor. The renovated rooms are nicer than the old ones but not by a whole lot. It's a just okay hotel all in all and for the price it's hard to give it a really good rating. The thing that almost puts it at 4 stars I suppose is the convenience due to location next to grand central, nice receptionist and a coffee / convenience store. Also the lack of a bathtub at this price point is strange.

Hotel recently remodeled. Looks great. Room looked great. However, service staff for the room were inattentive. The ice bucket tray had a layer of dust. No glasses in the bathroom. Carpet edges needed vacuuming. A hotel like this should have someone reviewing the staff's performance.

Fantastic Hotel.
Great location. Amazing staff. The rooms are great, the bed is comfortable.

My only criticism is the Grand Lounge should be age restricted to 21+.
Too many kids running around while their parents remai ignorant to the signage posted about accompaniment.

The venue was well-suited to handle the hosted convention. Staff was attentive and courteous, and the rooms were elegant and sufficiently spacious to serve the needs of the numerous attendees. The layout is a bit confusing, but just query the staff if need be and you'll be fine. The bar was a bit overpriced, but that's the hotel + Manhattan markup for you. In yes of the event itself, everything from the hotel's end seemed to be run smoothly (from an external perspective at least).

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt even though we live in NY. It was awesome to have a "vacation" for a night in our city. My wife and I stayed with our two kids. I slept better than I have in years, and just soaked in the quiet, comfortable room in the morning.

We loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

Room was alright. No clock, no pen, shower was a regular tub and shower combo, and shower curtain was moldy. The room was pretty clean save some hair in the bathroom. There is a high tech light switch that takes several taps to work.

I didn't interact with the staff much. The front desk was efficient but not friendly.

Windows didn't block noise very well. Loud nighttime construction on 42nd - I listened to a jackhammer all night.

Three time until now and again after Christmas. This summer we will probe in a similar hotel next to Bryant Park.
Hyatt is great, nicer than the average. Very tasteful the sandwiches with steak in the little shop close to the lobby.
Definitively, a good choice that never fails.
