Second...wow! I found my home away from home when I visit NYC. I've always stayed in Manhattan when I visit and never considered this area, but I like it more than staying in the city! It is convenient, easy to access, and everything you could need is literally within walking distance. There's a gas station, Aldi's, crispy cream, Panera in the parking lot.
Third...the amenities are top notch, the rooms are clean, spacious, and beautifully appointed. I'm staying in a king suite, one bedroom. The staff is lovely. You have gone above and beyond as far as being hospitable, and staying with you really took the sting out of leaving my family behind to come out here and help. You've gained a loyal customer for life!

Great service. The front desk is caring attentive. Particularly the young lady Ausi from the front desk. From the minute I walked in she made me feel welcome and she was my go to person for when I needed something.

Amazing staff! When I checked in they were very friendly. My room is clean and very accommodating for a 2.5 week stay. Very pleased so far!

Generally well maintained extended stay hotel. Easy access of Route 17. Rooms that face east have views of the New York City Skykine over Met Life Stadium in the Meadowlands.
Hotel offers free breakfast 7 days a week (including a quick grab bag for on the go).
Everything looked good except the carpet in room 402 was worn and coming up off the floor.

A beautiful facility with an attentive staff and a convenient location makes this an excellent choice for staying when in the New York area. Very close to the new Nickelodeon world and sharing a parking lot with a small strip mall that has some excellent restaurant choices makes this location an absolute winner. Enjoy!

Rooms are clean and Service staff is wonderful. Great place to stay centrally located to anyplace you want to visit.

Very nice hotel on route 17. Good breakfast and light happy hour food weekdays. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Average hotel gym. Highly recommend. Plaza next door with multiple restaurants.

The front desk attendant Eduardo Montoya is absolutely amazing. He is an excellent employee that made my experience here fantastic from the first 5 minutes of walking in. He gladly upgraded mine and my mom’s room to one of the largest suites they had because we came in last minute due to no air conditioning in our house. When he heard this all he wanted to do was make our stay better and it worked!!! Always coming back to this hotel now because of the excellent service and spotless rooms!

I really like this hotel. I stay here all the time, the staff knows me very well and are always as accommodating to all guests as they can be. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the rooms are a bit dated and power outlets in some rooms are strangely placed near the beds. This is a big issue to me as I have multiple phones that need to charge overnight and also be within reach. This may not be an issue for others.

This hotel is in a great location. It has a lot of restaurants within a very short distance. The shuttle is also fantastic and will drive you anywhere within 3 miles. The elevator is very slow and there are only ice machines on 2 floors so those are the only 2 negatives.

One thing that I'm sure is that the staff/faculty members are very nice. I would say the room conditions are not bad. It's fresh and clean like other good hotels. The dinner service is great as well.

Very clean, staff was super accommodating. Rates were more than reasonable for the quality of the room. Great shower pressure and water instantly got hot. Would recommend if you need to stay in the area.

Late night staff, Kevin was extremely attentive, courteous and extremely knowlegable of the area and services we needed outside of the hotel. The rooms are super clean and modern. The pool is also very nice and well maintained. I recommend for anyone, especially families. Great location, amazing staff! I'm extremely satisfied with my first experience at Homewood Suites.

Hands down, the best overall experience. Clean and spacious rooms. Quiet. Good hotel breakfast and social hour are well manned and have a great selection. But what surpasses everything is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Hands down, the very best. We have been in Hilton hotels since August of last year for work, therefore having stayed at probably 50 Hilton brand hotels in this time frame alone. This location should be the standard. Elijah at the front desk is so funny and always welcoming. There is a woman and gentlemen who typically work the meals and they are both such a joy, always working (Hilton give them a day off!) But so pleasant and kind. When staying in a hotel for multiple weeks, its nice to feel welcomed back, day after day. Worth driving a bit further to get this experience. We switched to a closer homewood for 2 night and came running back to the East Rutherford location. Highly recommend!

Super clean, breakfast is great and located in a fairly quiet area. Great alternative to a hotel in NYC!

Room decor could use an update, but otherwise very nice unit with kitchen area and lots of space. Good free breakfast. Helpful and personable staff.

Super clean, awesome friendly staff and great breakfast. Centrally located. It’s very rare that I feel like I can put my bag down and feel right at home in a hotel. But this was very comfortable. Nice quiet room. Very happy with my stay.

This was a very nice hotel. We were visiting from out of town for the Giants Eagles game. The hotels a little dated but perfectly fine. They provide transportation to and from the game for $10 per person each way. Definitely worth the cost. Free breakfast and pool. They even have an outdoor basketball court.

The desk staff were incredibly helpful, and the room was amazing. We had a full kitchen complete with pots and pans for cooking. The bed was comfortable and the seprate bedroom made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel. The salt water pool was nice and warm every time we went and the pool area was well kept. The only real downside was the breakfast. Some of the food was low quality, but there were a lot of options, and there was always something good to choose from.

The rooms were huge. The front desk staff was amazing, especially the evening shift guys. It's close to some places to eat and they do a complimentary breakfast and "social hour" for dinner. We had views of New York City from our window and there was plenty of parking. I would stay here again.

One of the best hotels ive ever stayed at!!!! Service was great, loved the room, breakfast was delicious, not mind blowing but stomach filling. Will suggest this to anyone in the area or going to the area. Hopefully your experience will be as great or better than mine. Will be staying hear again when im in the area.

Hotel service is excellent!! Used the shuttle to go to transit station to hop on bus over to NY for a show. Called the hotel and they sent a shuttle at 11:30p.m. to pick us up at same station when we returned. Staff was friendly and helpful. Was so convenient to get over to New York we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Very clean, the staff were courteous and professional. Traffic noise outside the hotel was kind of loud overnight, but I think there was a football game, which would explain that. I would happily stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites Inn in Rutherford, NJ. I am very satisfied with their customer service and quality of room. This hotel is probably the one with a very well equipped gym including a sauna. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It is located in a good area and close to many businesses and readily accessible to the main freeway. I would definitely stay here again when I visit New Jersey.

The positives definitely outweigh the negatives for this hotel but I wanted to address both. The rooms are extremely nice, the location is great with lots of variety of restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The happy hour with beer and wine is a great perk especially after a long day at work like I had. The staff was super friendly and attentive to guest needs. The only negatives with this hotel was that the elevator was extremely extremely slow and DO NOT STAY ON A TUESDAY NIGHT! they have a group that takes all the parking spots and it makes it very inconvenient for overnight guests!

We had an amazing suite on the 4th floor facing New York, the room was so spacious and so clean. The staff was very friendly and everyone went out of their way to make the stay amazing. I would without Doubt stay here again!

Homewood Suites is my home away from home. They take great care in their customers. Great breakfast and happy hour too for business travelers.

Stayed on and off at the Homewood Suites in East Rutherford for roughly 6 months while on work travel. Customer service was great, whether that be the representatives at the front desk to needing extra pillows in your room, they are very accommodating. The rooms are a tad outdated compared to other hotels but nothing to be disappointed at. The rooms were clean and tidy. Great overall experience!

Super accommodating. When we arrived the room we ordered wasn't ready yet so they upgraded us to a much better room. Very good experience!

Of all the Hilton properties near the Meadowlands, this one is my favorite. Large new clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good quality free breakfast. And free happy hour on the week days. Great location with quick access to all major roads. My first choice when staying in the area.

Overall it's great. Free dinner Monday through Thursday with free beer and wine. Breakfast is free and solid everyday. Staff is great. The only problem is the wifi. The speed isn't awful but it goes out frequently, multiple times per day. Makes work difficult if staying there on business. Makes videos and games difficult as well. That stuff is important to me which is why I gave a 3 instead of a 4 or 5.

My management team and I coordinated a job fair to have at the Homewood Suites. The room was just the right size and had all the tables and chairs and other accessories that we would need for our event. It was clean & easy to get to. I didn't see any of the overnight rooms. I can only say the lobby is definitely dated but it's in good shape.

As Hilton Honors members, we got to choose our room and the check in time the day before. When we got to the hotel, they had our keys to us in less than a minute. Very nice. The room was roomy, clean and had no issues. Free breakfast buffet was available. It was very nice. Wi-Fi was also free for all guests. I'd definitely stay here again.

This was AMAZING.
We stayed here in October 2012, after spending 2 nights in NY city in a hotel room that was a family room and you wouldn't be able swing a cat in.
Then we got to Homewood suits and it rocked. We had plenty of room. And even a kitchenette. Meals were included and it cost €150+ less the The New Yorker and we were in the Homewood suites for 3 nights.
The staff were so efficient and helpful. My son loved the girls at the counter because they paid attention to him instead of brushing him off like the other hotel.

Second floor single bed (king size) room along with suite that was used for conference events. Also used dining area off the lobby for breakfasts. Recently renovated rooms are extremely nice. This place will remind you of a trip to the beach with the family when you were a kid, except with nicer facilities!

This is my home away from home. The staff is friendly and make me feel a part of the family. I have stayed here at least once a month for the last 18 months...sometimes more. The rooms are clean. The kitchen is handy. I feel like I am in a one bedroom apartment when I stay in the one bedroom suite. Breakfast and evening light dinner are included. The hotel is conveniently located. There is a grocery store, restaurants, and shopping in the shopping center behind the hotel. There are tons of other restaurants in the area as well as movies. The train station is a short ride away. I plan on continuing to stay regularly through 2017.

Very friendly staff. Rooms were standard Homewood Suites rooms. The evening food and drinks was top notch. Would stay here again for sure.

The room was spacious clean and neat. The kitchen utensils were extremely clean. The staff was very accommodating, welcoming and professional. The breakfast area was clean with sufficient variety. The pool area was clean and the gym and sauna were awesome. However, I took my daughter and friends there for a birthday sleep over and there was an obnoxious guest that knocked on my door and asked me to keep the noise down after we sang happy birthday to her. I just thought that that was very rude, invasive and extremely classless. He even called the front desk to complain, however the staff was completely understanding.
Despite that unnecessary incident, the experience was fantastic as per my daughter..lol. I will definitely stay again.

The location is great, a little difficult to get into but nicely situated within a strip of stores. The rooms are little but well kept.

The people are great here and its incredibly clean and put together. My first night here I cut my finger open badly and the staff rushed to get me a bandaid and made sure I was alright.

Rooms are neat and clean. Staff is friendly. Plenty of places to eat are within walking distance. Very convenient to Rt 17 and the Meadowlands arena. Definitely a place to consider if you find yourself in the area.

I gotta say, what a great experience in this hotel, couldn't be happier, the attention in the front desk was amazing, really, thank you guys, the rooms were very nice and clean, even the shuttle service AAA giants that hilton had for guests going to the concert was awesome, we went to see coldplay and the shuttle drop us there and picked us up on the way back, talk about service, everybody was so nice, the cleaning staff was very helpful with everything, overall, i was more than happy.

A nice 15 min walk to the train station. Shuttle that runs daily until 11 pm. Fantastic complimentary breakfast, staff was amazing, rooms clean and hotel in general was kept up well & let's not forget the heated pool. Great experience.

I'm a relative of the couple who threw the event. Originally the hotel had overcharged them on the amount of people who attended and stopped serving food after maybe an hour. Several guests came late and didn't get to eat right away, but I understand why they wouldn't keep bringing food out if things were slowing down before the late guests arrived. I heard they brought more food out afterward. The staff was nice and on top of things. They were accommodating and I believe the charges were disputed and resolved without any problems. Our other family members said they liked everything. By the way, we went with the Italian buffet option, which was good. Overall, it was a good experience.

Came for a weekend get away from the city and the room was clean and up to date. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom warmer was a plus. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially being that it was hot food rather than the typical bagels and spread. I will stay here again if I decided to do another weekend staycation.

Utilized meeting space at the hotel and it was great.

I stayed here for months on extended stay during my project work and I can say this is the best hotel by far in its category of hotels. Very nice spacious rooms with full kitchenette, hospitable / well informed front desk staff, good breakfast, fitness room, everything was great about the hotel. I had an amazing time here and would love to come back.

I searched for a hotel that provided great amenities and that was in a great location. The area this hotel is in is right off a main road but right next to it is a police station and up the block is a bus stop perfect enough to take you right into the city. The route is about 20-25 minutes into the city with no traffic and the bus stop is about 8 min walk away.

There is also a shopping center with a Marshalls, Dollar Tree and other stores within walking distance of the hotel.

The guest service member that checked me in was so helpful and very friendly.
The room was clean and very spacious. Everything was great for a very short trip. We also enjoyed complimentary breakfast on a Sunday morning.

Convenient location (next to MetLife Stadium and future Pixar theme park), great rooms, the best service. What more can you ask for?

The service is incredible, and best price for the large rooms. Overkill for one person, but for a family the suites are the best.
