I took my son her to celebrate his 6th birthday. The hotel was extremely busy when I arrived. The front desk staff was friendly... The issues were there was only one (1) elevator working... The room was a bit dated and could've been cleaner ( wasn't dirty, just a few things I noticed could've been cleaner). Had issues with the valet guy, but it was quickly resolved by the Manager. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! The kids enjoyed the pool. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lifeguard on duty. That was awesome.

Clean, comfortable room with extremely comfortable bed and overhead ceiling fan. The room air conditioner worked quietly and efficiently. The Hotel is centrally located in the downtown Silver Spring area close to movie theater, restaurants, shopping, public transit, and the Fillmore concert venue. Hotel front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Complimentary breakfast served in a 1st floor meeting area accessible using your room's keycard. Very nice experience overall.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites Downtown at a very busy time, but they were still very accommodating. There was still construction next door, but there was no noise at night. The breakfast and room were pretty standard for a Homewood. The furniture was fine but perhaps a little dated. But the pillows were nice! The social hour was quite nice and regularly had some sort of salad as well as whatever the theme for the evening was. I also found all of the staff to be quite helpful.

Shared hotel, suite was more of a room than a suite. Two breakfast areas, Homewood Suites breakfast was better but served cold. Three elevators, one working. Valet only parking, not an issue until you try to get out of drive as you barely clear the drive in the small space and cars parked. Only slept there as we were busy but most likely would try something different for the cost. Nice location.

The room prices were fairly reasonable. The hotel provides a shuttle service to a railway stop, which was very convenient. It's only about a half hour from the capital, with very good options for food/entertainment nearby. The staff are all very friendly, and service has been very good. We were moved between rooms because of a computer error, but they moved our bags for us and gave us a complementary night. The rooms were very clean, pretty standard, and what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. There's a pool on the lower level, it's a pretty decent size. The breakfast was pretty good, too. 5/5 for value, location, and quality.

Great location, decent breakfast included, as well as snack/drink in the late afternoon. We were not able to take advantage of that. After checkout, I noticed we were overcharged for 2 of 6 nights. A simple call back resolved the issue and a credit was issued ASAP. Great access to Metro. Will likely stay there again when in the area.

This was one of the best affiliate hotel of the Hilton I've ever stayed at..great customer service

5 stars for the service. All the people who prepared food and cleaned our rooms were excellent. The front desk staff seemed to be friendly. Rooms were great and clean.

Derrick at front desk has terrific customer service skills, after long trip got my family in a room as quickly as he could, the room was very very nice defintely will be back when i come to town.

Fairly nice hotel but next to a noisy construction site. Hopefully fir guests next year it will be a bit quieter.

Clean hotel and room in great condition. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Only drawback was the parking situation due to construction next door.

The beds were nice and the breakfast was good, but i think the shuttles should start operating earlier and the breakfast shout open earlier as well.

They can do a better job for their breakfast and valet service. We had to wait 30 min every day for our car even though we called in advanced every single day.

I did not sleep there but it looked very clean, the staff was very helpful, you seemed to be able to take your own furniture into a room, and the rooms had I think a kitchenette and full sized fridge and utensils and stuff.

If you want to be in downtown Silver Spring, the hotel is ok on a basic level, but has issues. The rooms are acceptable, but the beds are hard and the heating and cooling is difficult to control, as well as noisy. The cold air blows right on the bed, which is a few inches from the blower. The shower leaks. The little kitchen is a nice feature. There is a free breakfast, but it is unexciting at best. The worst aspect is the staff. Some were nice but some bordered on incompetent.

Roach infested rooms(kitchenettes), Stains/Spills left uncleaned on elevator brass/chrome panels, Faded hallway carpeting, Long overdue paint work/vanishing of bathroom cabinets, Rusty stains on/underneath sofa bed mattresses, Very poor lightens in opposite half of room with sofa from the kitchenette, Dust/dirt on mattresses: so hard to believe this specific hotel is part of a Hilton brand. Checked in at 8pm, was out by morning. Entire hotel needs a 100% rehaul/refurbishment by corporate. Staff are pretty nice, friendly and apologetic.

The rooms were spacious. it took a long time for the hot water to get up to the 6th floor. The breakfast was very good with eggs and potatoes or meat everyday and in the evenings Monday through Thursday they had a nice little like managers reception free beer and wine, salad and some snacks, over all we really enjoyed our stay.

It's ok. Parking is a nightmare. Floors seem to be unlevel. Staff is friendly, except for the parking attendants. Wi-fi is marginal. Breakfast is decent.

Rooms are OK. AC system needs to be better. Better options for vending as well.

Stayed in a suite for a few days & couldn't have been happier with the service and all that was available at the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, the staff was very accommodating & the room was very clean & included a small kitchen area. Would definitely stay here again!

Room was very clean when we arrived. Workers are nice, breakfast had many options and was delicious.

Not thrilled with hotel itself. Stuff not too friendly. Hotel lobby looks good but rooms furniture in need of update. It is also sharing space with Hampton inn under same ownership​ so one side is Hampton the other is Homewood.

Our room overlooked a noisy construction site that started banging away at 7am. Why were we not informed at time of booking?!

WiFi was horribly slow, constantly disconnecting, you can forget about streaming.

Got back at 4pm, room wasn't serviced yet ...

I gave 3 stars rather than 1, since manager was kind enough to offer one of our three nights for free. Thank you.
Also, turns out room wasn't serviced due to a faulty lock that showed we were in, and household manager apologized and brought us some snacks.
So service was very kind.

It was an all around pleasant experience, just we thought we were given a suite with a separate bedroom it was simply just off to the side

This place is easy to check into. Free breakfast and dinner reception is lovely. Nice facility. The rooms are comfy and nice for a long stay. If I'm in the area again, I'll be staying here for sure.

The rooms are spacious and inviting. The only down side to the hotel is getting in and out. At time the driveway was packed with cars waiting to be valet parked. Catching a taxi or Uber could be difficult, however, not impossible. There are many restaurants and shopping areas to explore.

Rooms are a bit old and dated, but the rest of the hotel is great. The lovation is a short, easy walk to the metro. Tons of great restaurants and shops nearby.

12 nights at quite an amazing location. Walking distance from great shopping and dinning. Extra for the premium king suite was definitely worth the expense. The after hours event with free food and drinks made every evening something to look forward to.

The room I was in was nice and spacious, with a small kitchen, a comfortable bed, and other amenities. The staff has been excellent - very responsive and professional.

I cant give a service location a 5 star since nothing is ever truly perfect but having said that, they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and we shared a few laughs, which is always good. This has a great location for me since it is in downtown Silver Springs; you can walk 2 blocks to a movie theatre, 3 blocks to Starbucks and two malls are located a block away. The rooms are good and I will probably come back.

Stayed here for my honeymoon 4 years ago. Great staff, clean, and comfy. So I figured since I had a large group and they all can have nice suites I will use them as a host hotel. That was an wful and bad decision. We got a quote which was really good. Then more people wanted to come so we asked to extend the block for more rooms. Now here goes the problem.
First we were told we had to do a group reservation (which was not asked at first) so we agreed then they wanted to make the price higher. When we said no why would we pay more she asked us who gave us that price? They didnt know who the person was si of course they had to agree on what the first12 rooms were paying.
Second, every time someone gave the group code they couldn't find it so we had to keep calling and reserving rooms ourselves. Next after that they never took the money for the deposit which they said they HAD to have in order to do room blocks and put the hold on our card. Well that money didn't come out until 3 weeks later. Then check-in time comes. People rooms were cancelled or not listed under group rate and we had over the 80% rule of filling up the blocked rooms. Yes, we had a few cancel but we asked for 20, we had 24.
Third we asked if the deposit can be applied to our rooms, they said yes. So we get there so woman that had no idea what she was doing at the front desk, asked for my card for incidentals when she could have used the card on file. Whatever she did, she claim the card was declined even though I just left the bank literally around the corner 5 mins ago to deposit cash & checks. Next thing I call the vank and they said there's a charge from Homewood for $158! What the hell?!?!?!? Suppose to been for $30 if they were to use it but they claim they dont see that charge in the system. Now why the hell would the bank lie? What are they getting out of it?
Poor service at the front desk, and staff over the weekend! Record or write down everything they say and take names because these forgetful people may just rob you blind!
Glad the best thing I like was my room and bed otherwise nothing here for me anymore!

Hotel stay was great, though I produced my personal tax exemption card well before check-in and also during check-in, the hotel charged me without tax at the time of check-out and after about a month separately charged tax amount to my credit card. This disappointed me, they should have told me before that they will not honor the personal exemption card. Now I am requesting the hotel to credit back the amount.

Pricey, great location. $15 a night for them to play car into a public garage is silly in my opinion. Encountered two mechanical issues that caused to wait in room for 90 minutes. Their attitude was not as apologetic as I would have liked. They made it seem that I should understand better. I did understand. They rented a room that couldn't be locked and should have known it before rush hour. They should have understood that children like to swim after a day of traveling and ensured we could have left the room to go to the pool. And not had an attitude when asked for assistance.
