Can't say how many times we have stayed here over the past 3 years, Unfortunately this was probably the last. When checking in front desk area had several non guests hanging out visiting staff. Took a few seconds to be acknowledge then they left. The smell in the hall was overwhelmed with Tabacco and pot smoke all 4 nights of our stay. Fire alarm, once again, went off around midnight and of course we evacuated or 40 minutes. I realize this is not theirs or fire departments fault mind you but it is the 2nd time this has happened here. Taking pandemic into consideration I understand cleaning is not done during our stay but finding an empty McDonald's cup behind my nightstand on last day concerned me, we hadn't had McDonald's!!!!! Makes me wonder if my sheets were actually changed because you would have seen the CUP. The area is convenient for work so may switch to Marriott next door.

Great location and space but the furniture was broken. Both chairs were leaning and there was writing on the walls. It was nice but they couldve did better on the free breakfast. All they gave out was muffins and cereal with no milk.

Don't sleep on Homewood Suites. Evening reception is better than Embassy. Breakfast not as good as Hilton or Embassy but it's adequate and free. Plus free parking, free reception, free drinks, and seriously fairly priced. The one caveat is that the reception is only Monday thru Thursday so if you're looking for Friday to Sunday try Embassy Suites or Hilton (if you're a Diamond member). I'm biased but as a Diamond member, I think there should be reserved parking - the lot is on the smaller side. Rooms are large, fridges are full sized, cook tops, pull out couches, the whole deal. I stay in the DC area quite a bit and I recommend.

Great place to stay when coming to Alexandria/DC! We are a family of 5 and the double queen suite is great. Plenty of space for kids and everything that comes with! Brought our dog this last time. There's a couple small areas to potty nearby. They offer shuttle to and from the metro, which is really great. Anything we needed during our stay, was taken care of. Great hot breakfast each morning. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Springfield mall is a 3 minute drive, as long as you don't get turned around like I did 😂 highly recommend staying, especially for travelling families.

I comeback to stay at this location ever so often with my wife because the rooms in this place are so nicely designed, the staff is always friendly, and we get a great value with the breakfast included, which they offer a lot of good breakfast items at the breakfast buffet. I’ve never had any issues with the rooms here. Although the parking garage is a bit small, but so minor compared to the great value you get with the room amenities and breakfast bar.

A nice new hotel. Not five stars only because the pool is barely open if that is how you want to get your workout. Very nice people very comfortable rooms

Charged me over $900 more than my total bill and then claims that it is not in their system so it puts me in a bind! Friendly staff (although they don’t seem to understand the method their billing system works). Nice rooms and hotel but very upset to be charged so much extra only to have to wait for 3+ days already for my money back! $900 is a lot of money for some people!

We have stayed here twice now. The first time was wonderful. This time left a lot to be desired! The outside grounds were just dirty. Lots of trash in the lot. The parking deck elevator was nasty. When we got into our room it was less than desirable. The room is a decent size with upscale finishes. The shower in our room was dingy. The AC wouldn’t get cold enough. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, that were not used by us! I’m sad to say, we will not be staying here again. Very disappointed!

Very nice hotel with good location.
Parking is limited to the parking deck in the back of the hotel, the garage is well lit, with stairs and room for pedestrians. The upside was no parking fee.

If you have more than a bag or two you will be making multiple trips to your vehicle for luggage, I didnt see any bag carts to use when I checked in.

Complimentary breakfast starts at 7am, they do keep the food choices stocked but seating can be limited if the hotel is heavily booked.

Drinks and snacks are available, located and paid for at the front desk. If there happens to be a line at check-in, you may be waiting a bit to pay and get back to your room.

I would suggest going to one of the local stores for food and snacks, the refrigerators in the rooms are full sized.

The rooms are clean, well maintained and have a modern feel with a galley kitchen.

Room amenities are standard.

Overall a good choice to stay, an over night stay cost me around $115 with taxes and fees, well worth it.

Booked a block of rooms for a group and the hotel was very helpful on the short turn around. Our guests said the rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. It was close to the location and has returned walking distance. As well as near a metro.

Its decent. Fast elevators. Clean fitness room. Nice lobby. Around a lot of good stores. But rooms are small. One remote for 2 TVs in my Suite. Stiff couch and bed.

Stayed at the Hilton Homewood Suites April 11-19 2018. Folks this is a fantastic place! Super friendly and very clean. The daily breakfast provided a nice variety of choices. Enjoyed the Mon - Thurs evening light meal and free drinks from the bar. Free shuttle service to the metro made travelling to DC easy. There is a grocery store, Kmart, shopping area, and restaurants next door. Best perk of all are the friendly folks working here! FYI - you can take the blue line metro from Reagan National Airport to the Springfield stop for an easy hotel shuttle pick up.

Newer hotel for that area, decent rooms. Parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Couple of restaurants really close, more within easy driving distance. Strip mall close with supermarket. One of the cheaper places in that area, but good for a night's sleep.

It is very nice, the room and the common areas also. Room is clean. Bed not soft enough for me but they never are. Complimentary snacks in dining area most nights I went to one and it was good. However, the dinner menu could use work I ordered cheeseburger and was unsatisfied it was kind of gross. Grease soaked bun no flavor not hot enough. But overall a very nice place to stay good location and I would stay again. Friendly staff also.

Great location. Short distance to DC attractions. Clean rooms. Awesome breakfast and evening receptions. Shuttle bus is always late for pick up; not dependable. Make sure you have a backup.

I cannot believe how great this place is. Such a welcome change from being just another “room number” at other hotels. The staff seems to care about your comfort and satisfaction. Free breakfast and free dinners. What a treat after long working days!

What a wonderful place. I have been staying here for a couple of nights and the staff is just simply wonderful and helpful. They accommodate anything you need. Very clean place and rooms feel so cozy.

The room was as expected for part of the Hilton family, however I am witholdong the 5th star due to two issues. Firstly, the breakfast area was inept for the guest, however the food was above standard. I was disgusted to see a guest allowed to bring their pet in to the food serving area where it was allowed to sniff the food meant for the guest. I believe this occurred due to lack of staff and oversight. Second, there was pet urine and feces left in an elevator, although I'm not sure how quickly the staff was alerted to it. Their pet policy should be reevaluated. The front desk staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. They made me feel welcome at anytime of the day and set forth a shinning example of hospitality.

Clean and comfortable. Friendly front desk staff. I can appreciate that the hotel allows pets, but there should be limits on bringing them into the breakfast area. I was not pleased to see a dog with it's nose in the muffins that I was going to eat.

We stayed in a double room with a couch and two beds. It also included a full kitchen and full-size fridge. It was a really nice hotel! It was a bit difficult to find the entrance to but not a deal breaker. There are a lot of shopping options nearby as well. The complimentary breakfast wasn't "extraordinary" but it was pretty good for what we paid. I would stay here again.

Nice and clean. No view but pretty quiet so it made up for it.There was an excellent gentlemen at the front desk that made us feel very welcomed. I will definitely keep Homewood suites on my list of hotels when I need a place to stay.

Really pleasant late night and early morning staff. Visibly dirty light switches in my room and stuff seemed lightly off generally. I did a little cleaning. The room was huge though and well-furnished. My colleague did not have that experience. Great hot breakfast. Covered and convenient parking.

Only complaint I can think of is the tiny size of the parking garage, but that's also because I have a big car. Nice hotel though, friendly staff. Rooms are always well cleaned.

Rooms are stylish and comfortable. Kitchen at your disposal but free breakfast is included in your room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool and fitness areas, and laundry facilities.

Everything was good until the shuttle that was supposed to come every 30 min when u call them had my son and husband out in the cold for 2 hours! That is unacceptable! I will be discussing this with the manager... They didn't even have any excuse for why it took so long!

The hotel room is certainly roomy. Nice updated mini kitchen. Bathroom has a nice stand in shower, at least for my room it has it. The staff are wonderful and if you need it, the bar is a good place to sit a just have a moment to yourself.

Nice hotel, clean and modern. Stayed in one bedroom. Not very big. Desk doubles as kitchen table. Small closet and not much room for multiple suitcases. Staff friendly. Communication problems with front desk staff passing information during change of shift. Happened twice with two seperate staff members during my 10 day stay. Manager was made aware in both instances. Close to restaurants and grocery store within walking distsnce. Pet friendly.

We stayed for 9 days due to relocating with the military. The hotel was very clean. The staff was amazing. The food was very good. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay with great service!

It was a wonderful hotel with exceptional customer service! I was there visiting the Smithsonian African American Museum. However, my concern is that I am a Hiltons Honors Member who paid for my room in advance (which they promote for a lower rate) and was charged for my room again after my stay. It's taking quite a while to get my money refunded back, so I would just proceed with caution when reserving and paying for your room.

My Favorite Hotel to Stay at in Springfield, VA. Free breakfast and dinner and its usually pretty good. They also offer 2 free drinks (adults only). Rooms are very quiet.

These suites have everything you need, from microwave to two burner stove. Relaxing work area also in the room and the internet speeds are pretty adequate. Very nice.

This hotel is fantastic: super friendly, helpful staff, clean big rooms, good breakfast, managers reception, quick shuttle service. We'll definitely stay here again!

The front desk staff was very welcoming when I arrived. I was quickly checked in. My room was just as expected, clean and comfortable. I had a very good night's rest in the bed. The hot breakfast was very good as well. There was quite a variety of breakfast items and they were replenished regularly. I will definitely stay at another Hilton Springfield in the future!

Hotel is right of I95 which made it nice for a quick overnighter. The room was clean and well kept, look as if the hotel was fairly new. Only issue I had with my stay was with the organization of the breakfast. Pieces of the breakfast that should have been next to each other I were on opposite sides of the tiny room, which made it hard to maneuver around all the people (syrup was in a different area than pancakes). The organization of breakfast could have been exaggerated during my stay because of the large number of guests. Overall the stay was great and I would stay again if I was in the area.

Decent rooms but its super noisy. The staff is too busy for anything you need. The complimentary breakfast,well lets just say McDonald's serves better toast than what they offered here. The transport from the hotel to metro and back was sketchy. The driver couldn't stay in his lane or off his phone. Back to them being too busy, their instructions to call for a pick up off the metro were unclear and slightly confusing. When I called for a pick up they were quite rude about their poor directions and didn't even offer an apology, just to try again. Overall I won't be staying here or at another Homewood again.

The rooms are very tidy. I have yet to see a room at other hotels with a full cooking kitchenette with silverware and plates.

Very solid property. Rooms are spacious, modern and well equipped with a modern decoration. Staff is friendly and helpful. Certainly one of the best options in the area

Very nice hotel, perfect price and value

The room itself is amazing. Spacious and clean, and the staff are very friendly and professional. When I went to the "Lounge" however, all the things I specifically wanted were not to be found. I was offered a drink on the house in compensation. Evidently, the purchaser is sleeping on his oar currently. I hope this is a temporary situation. On the good news side, I had a quite decent gin & tonic and the wine was also good.

First Hilton property I've been to that didn't have the room ready when I arrived. The rooms are clean and modern. Good location. Bar is good.

Overall, the hotel was great but a few things made me remove a star. This is the best looking Homewood Suites yet. I actually hung out in the lobby for a few hours just people watching.l and enjoying the 42+" flat screens.

The downside...The pool hours are from 5pm to 10pm. My kids and I like to swim in the AM. Most other Homewood's provide oatmeal during breakfast and a robust offering of coffee. Finally, I found the lady at the front desk (8/31 @ 5pm) to be cold and uninviting. The rest of the staff i found to be friendly.

The room and furnishings were nice, clean and well kept, but they promised a dinner to be available Monday through Thursday, and it was more of a snack bar than a meal. It was not something I could give my children. Also the smells from the kitchenettes permeated the hall.

This hotel is adjacent to a plaza with plenty of food options, a grocery store, CVS, and other shopping. It's also just a couple of minutes drive from the Springfield Mall. Everything about this hotel is great except for the lack of a waffle maker for breakfast and sometimes lengthy waits for the elevators. The rooms have a full sized refrigerator which was awesome for my two week stay, a versatile/mobile table/desk on wheels, a pull-out couch, and big flatscreen tv. One more qualm is that there isn't much storage for clothes other than a small closet and 3 nightstands. There are no big dressers. The fitness center is amply equipped.

To sum it all up, this hotel is way better than average and just a few small nuances away from being prefect.

The only reason why I deduct a star is for slow outdated internet even for the extra premium price (max 7mbit/s for Premium $$$ PAID net and 3 Mbit/s for Complimentary hilton honors). The Complimentary when overloaded (after 10 pm) chugs along and one can barely watch netflix even at the worst throttled quality.

Also, the breakfast is to be desired. So far the best Breakfast has been at Embassy Suites.

What a wonderful place!. The place looks new but never mind that the staff at this location is top notch! When you have a child in a wheelchair EVERYTHING is just short of a congressional act to accomplish. Having just left the city I prepared for the worse. ..I can tell you the staff here turned a dismal conference weekend into one I am looking foward to. The manager ,porter,even the housekeeper came forth and treated us like family just arrived. Rooms clean,everything perfect! I will never stay anywhere else! Thank you Springfield Homewood Suites!!

Stayed for two weeks while house hunting. Perfect for our family of 5 and a dog. The rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast hot and filling, and the free dinners/wine was icing on the cake! Would totally stay again.

Good, they were great. They just were very timely, they were courteous, they didn't damage anything and they moved us to a storage unit so we're gonna be calling them again to help us move in the next month.
