Great location, clean, large rooms. Comfortable bed. Not much sound insulation, I had elephants upstairs and a few hyenas in the room next door for a few days.

Loved staying here. Close to downtown. The best part was the breakfast! Room is nice and clean.

Awesome hotel. Highly recommend!! Room was better than the apartment I used to have in Chicago. Can send kids to bed and hang out and watch tv without waking them. One of the best Hyatt’s I have ever stayed!

The hotel was overbooked due to some computer error but they were very apologetic and paid for our room across the street at the courtyard Marriott where we had a pleasant stay. The Hyatt also invited us back for breakfast which was delicious, made to order omelets, waffles, meats and fruits and cereal. Even though we didn't stay at the Hyatt overnight we thought their customer service was very good. Everything also looks super new and clean and modern.

Very nice value, suite was spacious and there were many amenities. The breakfast was good, and the location was a decent distance from downtown but close enough to get there easily.

A very nice new hotel, in a good location, with food and bars all around within an easy 20 minute walk. The hotel has some conference facilities so if you have a small event, it can do that. The rooms are new, air-conditioning works well, black out blinds and privacy blinds. The bathroom has a large shower that's one of the better hotel showers I have experienced. No room service though, but why eat in the hotel anyway?

Hyatt House is a very nice hotel on a very busy intersection. The rooms are very nice and fairly modern. Despite being on a busy intersection, rooms are surprisingly quiet. There is decent restaurant selection within walking distance.

One of the best places to stay in Pitt in my opinion. The rooms are way nicer than the 300$ rooms downtown. There was a full kitchen, multiple rooms, the shower was big enough to hold 10 people "or 2 overly excited kids" its within walking distance of plenty of great restaurants as well as they offer an amazing breakfast. I wish I could remember the mans name who was cooking omelets to order but he made the time there worth it on his own. Loved all the interaction with staff. The night staff was friendly and helpful and the morning girl at the desk.... Unforgettable. The pool is decent, a but heavy on the chlorine but its expected. 24 hour fitness center, a outdoor firepit to gather at. Just all around a great time with a great staff at a price that's affordable

Celebrated an important anniversay here in February with my husband and top notch service!! Staff were friendly and acted promptly when needed towards any service requested. My husband and I were also surprised by wonderful breakfast spread and the shower in hotel room was incredible!
I myself also had an amazing experience with their most recent event: "Paint Nite". It went so well that I'm Hooked and attending their next one in May!!!
Needless to say I have been overly satisfied with my experience there and would highly recommend them to anyone!!

I was there to do the makeup for a wedding so I can not speak to the service or amenities but it was very nice for me and the bride and her party to get ready. The parking lot was fine. I don't think there was much of a view unless you love looking at shopping centers.

Pittsburgh is my home town and Shadyside my hangout as a kid. I had come home to pay my respects to my aunt and share time celebrating her life. I arrived late at night exhausted. The staff was friendly, helpful, and considerate. I didn't like paying $20 a night for the privilege of using the parking lot, but, hey, it's Pittsburgh! The room was uncluttered and nicely designed. Clean. Comfortable. There lobby is a big living room with a buffet in the morning. I was greeted when I came and went. Shadyside!

Almost everything was great. Great service. Nice room. The breakfast was tasty. The shower was huge. The only problem was the time it took the water to get hot in the shower. If I were staying there for work and realized in the morning, it wouldnt be much fun.

Rooms were generally nice and more along the lines of a very small suite (separate living room, kitchen). The furniture was a little flimsy (drawers were finicky to close, closet door wouldn't stay shut). Not much happening in the hotel bar area - it was always dead.

Stylish, modern hotel. Friendly and professional staff. Well styled rooms with many great features. The HVAC is somewhat noisy for sleeping. Our room appears to be lacking some kitchen supplies, e.g. utensils and plates. Excellent location to Oakland and Bloomfield. The free breakfast is okay, but you may do better at one of the local diners.

Great for what it is. Reliable 3.5-4 star hotel with decent breakfast and big, comfortable rooms. Close to Carnegie Mellon (but at least a 25m walk)

We booked a 1-bedroom 2x Queen Bed suite for a multi-day stay. The room was clean and spacious for our needs (3 adults, 1 small child), including the kitchen and pull-out sofa bed. We were able to cook full meals in the kitchen, using the stove top and microwave/convection oven unit. The location is really convenient to shopping, downtown Pittsburgh, and local grocery stores for supplies. The hotel staff have all been extremely courteous, fulfilling any requests we made quickly and easily. Pool area and workout spaces are clean and pleasant, and the breakfast service has many options beyond the omelette bar that is touted in the literature.

Nice rooms, nice amenities (reasonable size gym, shuttle service, breakfast, on site laundry facility), and a very nice group of staff members. All together, my stay was quite pleasant and easy.

The Hyatt House of Pittsburgh was excellent in every way. Convenient parking, friendly and competent staff, beautiful rooms, a class act all the way. Very highly recommended.

Might be one of my weirdest hotel experiences. The H bar attendant actually told us we should probably go somewhere else to eat then disappeared for about 5 minutes while we sat and wondered where she went. Finally we ordered food and it came out well done. (Burnt grilled cheese) then we went up to the room and the pack and play they had finally brought up to the room was broken. Everyone just seemed in a very weird mood was very short. Not what I am used to as a Diamond member at Hilton. Figured I'd give Hyatt a try but after this visit I'm not sure I'll venture away from Hilton again.

This is our second time to stay here. Both have been pleasant and convenient. The rooms are nice, mordern and like new.

Hotel was comfortable, but the hotel pool was not available to us as it was in use for 4 hours by a private swim school. Normally, this wouldn't have mattered, but I explicitly booked a room at this Hyatt after confirming that their pool was open and available.

Very nice hotel. Room was surprisingly nice. Good bang for your buck. Good location to go see the Pittsburgh area. Only complaint would be the eggs for breakfast...my advice get the omelette.

I was only there for a quick drink. The bar tender seemed grumpy but the overall feel of the hotel seemed modern and lovely.

Really nice. Great place for an award night. King one bed suite has a great layout and a lot of space. Decor is modern and practical. Hard to believe this place is in Bloomfield in some ways, pretty cool.

Huge rooms with a full kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, stove, pots and dishes), living room and bedroom. Perfect for a several day stay without having to eat out all the time. Free breakfast was great, even had almond milk for cereal or drinking. Definitely would stay here again!

Booking Issues: The Reservation online can not reach to the front desk system, and it makes us to waste hour or more in the lobby to wait for the issue to be fixed!!! This issue happened rarely. The manager apologized and we fully understood.

Perfectly fine hotel and staff is excellent. Sound proofing did seem lacking as we could hear the people upstairs walking around. Parking is pricey - $20/night for unlimited in/out in a self park lot behind the hotel in a suburban area.

Very nice, clean, modern hotel. It's in a nice area for walking around. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. It's even only 15 minutes from the zoo. The only problem I have is the "free" breakfast was horrid. It was barely edible. The eggs were cold and soaking in water. The sausage was cold and bland. The cut fruit was clearly old, tasted terrible and rotten. I would recommend getting some coffee and skipping the breakfast here.

The hotel was pretty good. The rooms were new and very clean. They had a very good breakfast spread and the dining staff was friendly. They lose a star for charging for self-parking and a shower that never got hot and leaked water out the door.

This hotel is a must stay if you are in the Pittsburgh area the staff was great and the service was second to none!!! It was ridiculous that they charge for parking but I would stay again
