Ralph was very attentive to our needs and questions. Helped us with tips on local eateries and parking questions. This was before he realized we were elite members and he helped us with out perks. This shows he gives the same great service to all guests. Looking forward to the rest of our stay.

I enjoy staying at this property as they have an awesome suite with separate bedroom, so my son can go to bed early while I stay up. It's located very well on Granville, only a few blocks from Pacific Centre and both Canada Line and Expo Line skytrain. It's also got a bus stop right out front of the hotel. The concierge is the absolute best and always has great ideas. This is a great hotel for business or for staying to enjoy downtown Vancouver.

We have stayed here multiple times but this time takes the cake.
I was in town due to my son having 2 unpleasant tests on Monday and 2 drs appointments on Tuesday. We arrived on Sunday and had booked to stay in the uptown best western, but due to a clerical error on their side they refused to let us check in. So it's 10:40 at night on a Sunday and I have my 6 year old and my luggage and no where to go. I called Chateau Granville and by 11pm my son had his head on a pillow and a beautiful place to stay while going through all his tests. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to make sure we were taken care of and my son's medical visit would be a comfortable one.
Always our #1 place to stay .....location is great, rooms are beautiful but NOTHING beats how much they care

I have stayed at many of the downtown Vancouver hotels. This was a good first experience at this hotel. Good value for price. Clean comfortable room. Decent gym facility. Balcony with nice view. Room upgrade. Welcome package (water and snacks) and personalized welcome letter for elite member. Has underground parking for a fee that's relatively cheaper compared to other downtown hotels.

The location is about 10min walk to the downtown mall.

The only slight disappointment was I couldn't check in early (arrived about 2pm) despite being Diamond Select, so had to go out in the rain and come back after 4pm interrupting my original plan.

From check-in to check-out my stay was totally enjoyable. The staff, without exception, were cheerful, helpful, professional and went out of their way to assist with taxis, printing boarding passes and room amenities. The parking fee was extremely reasonable given that I was staying in a large city. Service at the Edge restaurant was outstanding and reasonably priced in a city that, otherwise, is quite expensive. All in all, many kudos from a very experienced world traveller

Wonderful stay with family. This was a great location, hotel is well maintained and provides a nice restaurant for wonderful breakfast and dinner. Probably one of the best service hotels in Vancouver...from front desk, housekeeping, to waiters - service was incredible. Our room was well stocked/equipped with all the amenities and space was nice are large to accommodate all 4 of us. BTW...I don't like giving out 5 stars, even with nice staff...but for this stay...I really enjoyed everyone and notice how they treated their guests. Keep up the good hospitality.

Just staying in Vancouver for a night, but there was a problem with our original hotel booking. These guys did us a solid and got me and my group into our room right away, and at a better rate than our original hotel. Room is spacious, includes a balcony. 5/5 would recommend.

If you want a nice hotel in a nice location in downtown Vancouver, the Best Western Chateau Granville may be just right. We have stayed here many times, and it is close enough to walk to downtown shopping, and just a short stroll the other direction to enjoy the sites and sounds of Davie Street. We like the third floor suites, but if you want it to be quiet at night, ask for a room facing the back of the hotel. (Granville Street does have an interesting night life upon it.) Good value as compared to all of the other hotels in the downtown area. And very friendly and professional staff. Also secure underground parking.

This hotel was lovely. Reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location in a walkable area near downtown Vancouver and close to,St. Paul’s Hospital. I haven't actually stayed there yet, but I wanted to say that WOW! This is amazing customer service. I booked my rooms months ago, and found a better deal closer to my date of stay, and Anita gave me an even better deal than the one I found. I feel incredibly valued as a customer and can't wait for my stay.

Chateau Granville is centrally located and impeccably maintained. We had a two room suite, which made things so much more comfortable, since one of us goes to bed much earlier than the other. The restaurant in the hotel, The Edge, was quite good, not only for breakfast but for dinner as well. The staff were attentive and well informed. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the city.

Great location, fast WiFi, clean rooms, and great service. Also, the toilet is super fancy with heated seat and bidet option! The shower was also pretty nice. Bed is a little firm but my hubby likes that.

We had breakfast at the restaurant- mushroom omelet with side of sausage. It was very tasty. And I liked that the eggs were free range.

We stayed in a spacious suite, which was organized well enough that we could set up our office and get work done in the sitting area. The suite was lovely, with a balcony over-looking the gardens. We were pleasantly surprised to find a well kept park, just across the street, which included a fenced-in off-leash area for dogs. We'll definitely keep this location in mind, as we often travel with our fur babies.

Great room and great view of downtown! It is a short walking distance from a lot of places. Tour busses pick you up here. Great breakfast and super helpful staff. It was easy to print out driving maps from their computers. It is a lot cheaper than staying near Canada Place. I would definitely recommend staying here again.

Got there at 4pm, no long lines, check in was quick and came with free freshly baked cookies, an unexpected sweet treat especially for my kids waiting in the car. We stayed in a one bedroom suite on the 11th floor for one night when our flight got cancelled due to heavy snow fall. We got a nice view with balcony plus near the elevator for our convenience. The staff were professional and friendly. We came from another hotel/suite nearby. There was a big difference in parking price. It was more expensive to park here at $16 for overnight stay. It was double the price. It was nice to have an old but working refrigerator for leftovers. We were able to warm up our food in the microwave and made coffee before heading to the airport. Busy location but safe. Noise level was high on a Friday night but we were so tired from a long day and the comfortable bedding linens and pillows were a great compromise. We got a restful night before our flight. Not so sure why express check out was an option. The room was prepaid and my credit card was on file at check in but I was told that I could not do express check out so I had to stop by the desk at 4am to check out. Not a big deal but could be better. May consider coming back to stay again given a chance.

Suites, which I think all the rooms are, provide room for families. 2 double beds and a fold out sofa plus room for a rollaway or crib is handy. Parking is NOT free but in a secured garage with in/out privileges. NO free breakfast at this Best Western. Upholstered furniture and carpeting is dingy and dirty so didn't feel I could walk around barefoot. Families or those uncomfortable with "seedy" areas need to be aware that this hotel is across the street from a XXX Adult store and on the same block as a strip club....also many homeless people lining this area of Granville St. Drug addicts abound so there's lots of sirens at night...luckily they provide plenty of earplugs in the nightstand drawer. Central location is a plus.

Nice hotel but a bit dated (I was told that renovations are coming later this year to refresh the rooms). The service is nice, the exercise room is very well maintained and it is quite nice to have a balcony.

Extremely friendly staff. Great, clean facility. The room was awesome, bigger than we anticipated. Unfortunately, one of the kids got sick and we ended up needing new bedding around 2am. The guy who brought up replacements (I forget his name) was super quick and very nice. We were only there for one night, and we checked in super late, but I would absolutely recommend this place. It just minutes, walking distance, from shops and dining. Area seems a bit shady, but still a great location.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight trip to Vancouver to stay at the Best Western Chateau Granville. We had a suite with a beautiful view of the city. This staff was above and beyond the best and that encompasses hotels of every stripe! From the manager who got up and helped us navigate in the parking garage to his calling for us to have a bellman come with a cart. Room service was amazing! This place offered great value in downtown Vancouver. The rooms are recently remodeled and we're quite modern. We had a suite with a balcony at a very good price. Breakfast is not free but the restaurant was quite good. Concierge was useful. One downside, it's located in a seedy area on Granville.

First of all: One elevator is broken for over a week now, which is, in my opinion, not acceptable for a hotel that size. The rooms were big and the beds comfy, but the room and especially the size of the beds are not made for 5 people. The staff was helpful and polite. And the gym was good for a dezent workout.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and our experience was very good. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Because of the location right on Granville, there was easy access to transit or walking. Granville is very busy late at night, and this can be noisy, especially on weekends. That might be a consideration for some people.

Fine hotel with a fine location. One of the elevators was out which made navigation through all 15 floors a pain, especially because the hotel was almost full. Other than that the rooms were fine - they did have a great view of the city which was nice. The only real issue was the price which was very steep.

Everything was expected and nice about this hotel. The location was excellent and though the rooms were somewhat dated they were extremely clean, the staff was also very nice. Be aware that people staying in the hotel are NOT ALLOWED ANY GUESTS AFTER 12AM, no exceptions. Not even one. I understand the need to keep the rooms quiet and make sure parties don't happen but not being able to bring up a single guest is a little ridiculous. Would I stay there again despite this? I would.

Nice room, a few minor issues with noisy air conditioner, lamp not working. Love the room layout and view over Granville Street. Bed was pretty decent, slept well. Price was high and on top of that had to pay to park. Staff was very friendly and professional. Can't beat the location and that's why we have been staying here over the last 30 years (No acknowledgement of that, I guess they don't pay attention)

The Best Western Chateau Granville is located close to downtown, and to the trendy Davie Street. It is an easy walk to many city attractions. The hotel offers suites, which we find very satisfying as we travel for both work and pleasure. The staff are a real asset, very professional and friendly, with a wealth of knowledge about things to do in Vancouver. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mid-priced hotel, with a good location, and also a fine restaurant on the main floor.

We overnighted at this hotel since we travelled to Vancouver solely for the U2 Joshua Tree 2017 concert. This hotel is located within walking distance of BC Place so we did not need a cab to or from the location. Unfortunately, they do not have an airport shuttle, but we were able to get a cab easily and quickly back and forth to the airport. The King Standard room was clean and overlooked Granville Street toward Howe Street and had a good size balcony. Our overall experience was very satisfying and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing quick and easy access to BC Place. The room was a bit more expensive than I am used to paying in Alberta, but considering it is in Vancouver, the pricing was reasonable for that region. Aside from there being no airport shuttle, I have no complaints. Keep up the great work!

Love this hotel! I have stayed here before and it is always a great experience. The evening concierge gentleman was so helpful and eager to assist us. He even delivered our room service with extra condiments, napkins and plates to share.

The room was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking downtown. The room was soundproof and once inside we could not hear anything (and we were even right beside the elevator). The beds were comfy, and the separate bedroom was great to have, with a TV in both the bedroom and living room. Everything was clean, water pressure was great, and the bed was super comfortable. We will definitely we staying here again.

Front desk service is great. Rooms however are left wanting. A room for 4 was 2 small beds listed as double but we're closer to king single sized, sofa bed mattress was too soft and as a result the support bars could be felt underneath and was uncomfortable.

My boyfriend and I booked this place in a spur of the moment decision to stay another night in Vancouver and not wanting to spend another 200+ dollars. We were surprised by how big our room was. While we didnt visit the restaurant or enjoy any other services we were pleased with the security and parking. We have had our car broken into onice already in Vancouver and really appreciated the almost hidden and gated parking. My only downside was that the beds were not the most comfortable. For a budget friendly and quick weekend trip, this place is right in the middle of all the places we love to visit on foot in Vancouver. Since we never really go any longer than a couple days at a time anyways, we're going to continue to book with Best Western.

The hotel is in a very good location on Granville. We had a huge issue trying to get back in the hotel after midnight. We only had one person listed on the suite and they are very strict about their guest policy. When I checked in it was not explained to us that we needed to list everyone and the door bouncer (Axel) was very rude and confrontational about the policy. After 1.5 hours we were able to pay extra person fees and we're allowed in our room. The next day the manager made it right however and was very reasonable and apologetic. Had the policy been explained when we checked in there would have been no issue and if the doorman wasn't so rude. I can recommend this hotel, however, just be aware that you must list each guest (and pay extra person fees) as no one not listed on the room is allowed up after midnight.

All around I thought it was a pretty decent hotel. I had the cheapest type of room and it was huge, separate living room with a desk for working (which is what I care about) and separate bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable, I slept really well, and they had a good quality chocolate on each bed. The room also had a fridge, microwave, individual pod coffee maker, a safe, it had everything except a kitchen (which I don't care about).

It is a bit older hotel, but it doesn't show very much. I didn't get a chance to use it, but it had a decent looking gym as well.

The only really bad thing is the location, it's not in the centre part of downtown vancouver, but in a part that is a little sketchy (although I wouldn't be worried about safety as there are lots of people around and you walk a block or two and you are in a nice part of town). There is also a lot of construction happening there so I expect the neighborhood is going to improve. The only real problem about the sketchiness is that at night, there are people yelling and making noise. It didn't disrupt my sleep, but I did notice it. Because the room is separated into two parts, I think the bedroom part is actually better sound insulated.

All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed there with a group of university students. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. Staff was friendly and accommodating. In particular the staff at the restaurant were absolutely wonderful to work with. Great location, though you should know ahead of time that it's not the quietest part of town.

I asked your Director where I should stay while attending a hockey game in Vancouver. He recommended your hotel. We were extremely pleased with his recommendation. The room was wonderful and very clean. The Edge lounge was perfect for us. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to the arena and back easily. I will definitely stay with you again when I come back.

Our room was great, I love the balconies. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were very nice. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. The location can't be beat. My only complaint was that we weren't allowed to have visitors in our room after 10pm. Not usually a big deal but I had friends meeting me from Victoria that I hadn't seen in a year and I was disappointed that they couldn't stay.

I stay in this hotel every time I go to Vancouver. Whether it's for a concert, couples get away or a family trip, this hotel is GREAT! Good location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, helpful & friendly staff, as well as a restaurant that has very good food. I can't say enough good about this hotel. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my wife on two occasions in August, 5 nights all up. Check-in went smoothly, attentive & friendly staff. For the price of a room elsewhere we had a suite, which let us have more space to spread out. We had another room with a settee, coffee table, desk & chair. Microwave, coffee machine, tea & coffee offered. May I suggest for us tea lovers a kettle be supplied. Bedding was excellent, a good nights sleep every night. Breakfast was delicious, as was the dinners, good quality food and again attentive & friendly staff. Location was good, short walks to tourist attractions or catch a bus outside. Highly recommended.
