Absolutely fabulous hotel ,staff unbelievably helpful and friendly. Only stayed 4 nights, could have stayed a lot longer!Excellent location ,excellent service ,excellent everything .Wine and cheese evening fantastic.

The Casablanca hotel is a small but very nice hotel on a fantastic location right next to Time Square, Broadway and many other tourist attractions. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and forthcoming. Breakfast was basic but good coffee and a nice area to start your day makes up for a lot. My room was quite small though and if you need to work a bit on your laptop you'll find you can't find a good place in your room. Fortunately the breakfast area is open all day.

The hotel and the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond. Will definitely be staying again!

Really peaceful hotel in the middle of crazy Times Square. We were in the back of the house and did not here anything from the street. The staff were amazing!

It was just the New York experience we wanted. Casablanca is a small boutique hotel literally just steps to Time Square. Hospitality room provides free snacks and drinks at night and continental breakfast in the morning. It was an oasis in a city that never sleeps!
The room was small but very comfortable and the employees were so friendly and attentive. We ate at Tony's, the restaurant next door, where they serve classic Italian food. Great time!

This place literally is a gold find. Everything was wonderful. From the moment you walk in to the day you walk out the staff is so helpful and friendly. They really make it a personable stay and try and make you as comfortable as possible. They are all always asking if you need anything and always lend a hand in helping. Whether it was room accommodation or traveling around the city they were there. They also are a wealth of knowledge for places to eat and things to see. They have a relaxing upstairs lounge with free breakfast and evening wine and cheese which is handy for a quick bite to eat. They even have a espresso machine which just completed my 5 🌟. Wonderful place to stay. Couldn't recommend it more.

Beautiful property, fabulous location. Amazingly quite given how close to Times Square it is. Walking distance to the theater district. Very good Continental breakfast is included as is the nightly wine and cheese happy hour.

Just perfect, location, staff, breakfast..

Loved the staff. They were pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the executive lounge (2nd floor). It was relaxing and while the weather was bad , it was a relief to not have to go out to find something to eat and drink.

The hospitality at Casablanca makes any stay worth it. The staff really knows how to make their guests feel welcome. We were impressed by the bottles of wine left in our room (it was our anniversary) and the visit by a manager just to see if we were comfortable (she left us a lovely letter from the managers with their cell phone numbers in case we needed anything!). Who does that? A lovely touch that made us feel like we were guests in someone's home rather than a hotel. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese reception and breakfast in the quaint Rick's Cafe. And the room was super quiet, large (for NYC) and clean.

This hotel is top notch. The staff is the best. They go all out to please. Rooms were always clean and maintained.This was a GREAT experiene. The staff amazing, the location perfect, great free breakfast and the wine and cheese event was perfect. The rooms are small-ish but you will lack for nothing. Great location for jumping off to many parts of NYC. You will not be unhappy here!

My now wife and I stayed here when we came up to get married in NYC. The hotel is in a great location, right beside Times Square. The staff has gone above and beyond for us. They've helped make reservations, they've given recommendations, they even gave us a free bottle of congratulatory champagne. When we visit the city again, we'll definitely be staying here.

This is a really fantastic place to stay, staff very friendly breakfast included plus when you need time out come back to the relaxing lounge where you will have a free cuppa waiting for you. Most definitely will be back again.

I come to NYC a couple of times a year to see some shows and I've always stayed in a hotel in the theater district. I've been looking for a hotel like this, in my price range, for twenty years. I loved this hotel. It felt intimate.The staff members were all five star, friendly and responsive to my requests. My room was large for a NYC hotel in this price range and I loved the Moroccan theme with its really lovely tile work. My room was very clean as the other parts of the hotel that I saw. The bed was comfortable, the continental breakfast was very nice. My only disappointments were the smaller TV and that a basic room doesn't come with a tub. Even so, the excellent service, location and price in this cozy hotel will make this my choice for future visits to NYC.

Central location by times square. Very good and knowledgeable staff at the front desk. Free sparkling wine and cheeses and snacks in the afternoon at "Rock's Cafe upstairs one flight from entrance. A decent value for the price.

Cozy accommodations in a great location! The staff is very attentive and the perks are great. They provided us with a free bottle of wine when we arrived and every night they have free wine and cheese in their "Rick's Cafe"!

Very welcoming and helpful staff.
The hotel is only a few yards from Times Square a very convenient location.
The rate includes continental breakfast together with refreshments available throughout the day and best of all cheese and wine served between five and eight every evening any in a very comfortable lounge called Rics Cafe
I stayed for one night in March on way home from Florida with my wife and will certainly stay again when next visiting New York

This is the fifth time we have stayed at the Casablanca Hotel.
When you think things can't get better, but they do here, many of the staff remembering us from previous visits and treating as long lost friends, infact it is all down to their professionalism, the doormen, concierge,receptionists,house staff and all who serve breakfast and wine and cheese on an evening.
A big thank you from myself and Christine for making our stay so good again keep up the good work you all are a credit to the Library collection of hotels.

Fabulous location right at Times Square, comfortable and clean rooms (but a bit dated).

Best part is free breakfast, 3 hour wine and cheese each night from 5pm, and 24/7 tea and coffee (with a real espresso machine).

A great NYC base.

This hotel continues to impress. This was our second stay, and most certainly won't be our last. The staff is friendly, accommodating, informative. Simply Incredible. Great advice for dining, courtesy was through the roof! From the staff at the door, to the front desk, to the housekeeping,

This hotel is a little gem! We were checked into another hotel beside centre park and after one night left we chose to come to the Casablanca instead for our stay in NY! We stayed for 5 nights at the hotel, it's not the most up to date or has the biggest rooms but who cares when the staff are amazing and so very friendly and helpful. Every day was like being in someone's home and so very welcoming! Will definitely stay here again if we return to NY!

This was my first stay at Casablanca and I feel like i found a NYC hotel jewel. I look forward to taking family and friends back to this hotel for my next NYC visit. The staff was very accommodating, the room comfortable fresh (ie not worn and tired) and clean. The room was compact, but that wasn't a problem or a surprise. The area where the continental breakfast is hosted, is comfortable and inviting. In addition, there were two attentive staff helping guests with their breakfast and keeping the room clean. Some of the hotel guests appeared to be regulars because they knew staff by name. This demonstrated stability with staff and guests repeating their stay because they like their Casablanca Hotel experience.

Made very welcome. This hotel is so comfortable and a home from home. Love the fact breakfast and all day tea coffee eto there for you to help yourself. In the evening wine and cheese also included. Beds very comfortable. Staff so helpful.

I suspect we were upgraded: we were pleasantly surprised by the room, which was spacious and comfortable. Excellent Moroccan themed decorations, including fancy tiles in the bathroom. Good buffet breakfast. Great happy hour with free Prosecco (and other refreshments). Friendly staff. Excellent location, literally right next to Times Square, but still quiet.
The only downside: our room's window opened onto a central air shaft, which was a little noisy (nothing too bad - just a background hum), and had no view.

Casablanca is a nice boutique hotel situated mere steps from Times Square. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating, and the wine reception was great. The rooms are a little on the small side, but they're clean and comfortable.

Its a nice hotel. The rooms were nice and clean with great decor. Unfortunately the staff was ignorant and rude. For the price we paid I would expect that the service will be superb, boy was I wrong.

My wife and I just returned from a 9 day trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary and stayed at the Casablanca. I wish there were more stars available as 5 aren't enough.

This is a wonderful hotel! Up close and personal treatment from the staff. Comfortable rooms. We will definitely be back!

I had the Pleasure staying in this amazing hotel for only one night in Feb 2015.

I must say that originally I booked a different hotel which when I arrived was overbooked, and they had no room for me. After all the reviews here on TripAdvisor I decided to give a call directly the Casablanca hotel and hope they still have rooms available for today. To make a long story short, not that they did welcome me but they charged the lowest rate I could ever hope for and even upgraded to a King room. WOW what a start!!!

Of course as many others wrote here, you cannot beat the location for the tourist in NYC - the Time SQ is actually in front of your room. I must say, I’m personally not a huge fan of this area but Casablanca made me forget all about the noise and the hassle of the crazy Time SQ.

The hotel as you all know dedicated to the legendary Casablanca movie. It is an Old school charm that I personally was skeptical I’m going to like but not only I did, I actually fell involve with it.

When you first enter the hotel, there is more of a luxury building welcome foyer then the “receptions” that you might be used to from another hotels. From the bellboy to the reception team they give you the feeling “Ohh you finally arrived…we’ve been so waiting for you”.

Then on the 2nd floor there is the lounge area where everything happens… this is a chill out oasis in the middle of TimeSQ. You can find an amazing free breakfast, an all-day refreshments, fruits, pastries, a great espresso machine with an actually great espresso!!!!! Every evening between 5pm and 8pm you can find there a great wine-and-cheese reception.

Now let’s go to the room. Well I must say that you will not find here any WOW effect but - they are all beautifully decorated!!!! Supper Supper Supper clean!!!!!! And the most important thing is the variety of amenities which is hard to describe. From sleepers and bathrobes to “make up” towels and amenities like eyes sleep masks and ear plugs. Anything you might desire or maybe forgot to bring with you is here.

Another very important note I’d like to say is about the prices. While the hotel rooms might not be on the very low side aseptically during the travel season, the prices for everything else you might spend while you stay are more than reasonable! This made me very happy and actually gave me the feeling these guys want you to feel comfortable and not just “make money of you”.

I never saw a hotel in NYC that charge only 21$ for a bottle of a very nice Chardonnay for example or 2.5$ for minibar drinks.

You should also try the Tony’s restaurant that is adjacent to the hotel and provides a room service. They are very very good with also a very reasonable prices.

I’m sure I’m even not close to express all the great things about the Casablanca Time SQ hotel, but I sure know that I found a new home away from home for every stay I’ll have in NYC.

And for the hotel team: thank you guys for doing what you do! For loving your work and for making us the travelers have this amazing opportunity to stay in a place where not only our money is important!

Can’t wait for my next visit.

me and my fiancé stayed here over Christmas for 2 nights and it was a great experience from start to finish. staff were extremely helpful and very polite. room service was very quick. bed was so soft and comfy. very much more a boutique hotel but it was perfect for couples. great location for people who want to explore as it is close to subways and times square/midtown. free wine and cheese was a bonus as well as the breakfast buffet.
I would recommend this to travellers of any age who want comfort and luxury at an acceptable price.

The staff was incredibly helpful, courteous, and accommodating. Our every request was granted and then some, which was the perfect way to begin and end they day. Rooms were impeccably clean, which was a welcome retreat from the grimy city below. And when I say clean I mean white glove, toothbrush-used-in-the-corners, microscope-on-the-carpet, every-conceivable-nook-and-cranny clean. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience midtown Manhattan and be treated like royalty. Our only regret is that we were not able to spend more time at the hotel. If we ever go back to NYC we will stay at the Casablanca.
