Excellent place to stay. Enjoyed every moment of my stay. The staff was very courteous & excellent. Stayed there for 3 nights & immensely enjoyed the stay. Will surely stay there again if visiting Richmond

The room I stayed in I do not believe was upgraded in any way and it was very nice! It was spacious, had a kitchen, and the bed was in its own room with a door that closes. Only complaint was staying for a business meeting for 2 days the confrence rooms we got had problems each day with the second being small and lacking a sufficient set up we needed. They accommodated after a complaint was made, but either way it was not one our best hotels to use for business. They had a happy hour of some sort that day that included Free beers(max 2) and some food at night was a nice perk! Not a bad place to stay for a family at all though and would repeat for that purpose only.

The rooms were wonderful and very clean. The continental breakfast was very good with everything you would expect. Had no issues durring our stay, so I can't speak to the guest service but, every hotel employee was very please tell and spoke/smiled in the hallways. Would definitely like to stay again in the future.

The hotel location is in a very nice area. Plenty of nearby food and shopping. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Really nice place to stay!

every time we stay at a Homewood Suites hotel, it never fails to be comfortable and feel like a home. always a fantastic place to stay. has a beautiful pool area, free complimentary breakfast (has waffle makers), nice and comfy rooms and beds, pleasant staff, free complimentary dinner on weekdays, and the location of the hotel is great. will definitely come back here again :)

We used to stay here a lot because it was always nice, clean and the breakfast has always been very good. As far as the clean now... sometimes it is, sometimes it is not...I wish we could open up the windows for some fresh air but the windows don't open. They really need to be aired out...Breakfast is still very good, I am actually impressed by the people doing the breakfast, they always make the food look like nobody touched it before, it looks like they made it just for you. It is nice variety and always clean. I wish the rest of the hotel was run like the breakfast part is.

This hotel is starting to show it's age... It usually has a good rate - and you do get a suite - but don't expect it to be anywhere near modern. Also, skip the free breakfast - it's horrible.

Our room exceeded our expectations. For 2 adults and 4 kids, the 2 BR 2 BA suite was perfect. The kitchenette was great for staying overnight with a toddler. It gave us plenty of space and we wish we were staying for more than one night. The rate was very affordable and it included a wonderful breakfast. The hotel was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. It was in a quiet location but close to shopping areas and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

I loved staying in the suite here! I was able to have my family visit me in the hotel for dinner I prepared. My children enjoyed having their own room. The staff are all friendly and helpful!

Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was strong and warm. Breakfast was good and the staff were all welcoming and friendly.

The suite is beautiful and it had a few pots and utensils to cook with. Love it!

I have to say everyone from room cleaning staff to the restaurant to the mentainance people all spoke and asked how we were doing. Well run and clean and friendly staff. Was like truly coming to a family's house and everyone is glad you came. Will be staying again when we come to town.

Seems like a good place overall. Kitchen area is clean but cabinets are a little dated. Flooring, carpeting and wall coverings are nice. You can hear folks above pretty easily, overall okay.

The breakfast staff made the whole experience a real joy! Grant and Ercell were the chefs and everything was so delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel if in the Glen Allen/westend area.

I just checked in... this place is amazing. My room is nicer than my house!!! Lol. I love it. The staff so far have been very friendly. My room is very clean and spacious.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised! I stayed prior to the planned renovations, but could not quite understand what need renovating. The lobby was quite impressive, the pool, breakfast, and other amenities among the better I have experienced. The suite layout was among the best we have had, especially for the price. One thing that was interesting was that we entered clockwise around the circle, and there is no sign on that side of the building; I had to drive past, look back, and turn around. I would stay here again.

Nice room, very nice staff, nice location, lots of things to do close by.

The location was under renovation, but the suites were lovely. The pictures on the website are outdated, the rooms are more contemporary now. The complementary breakfast was very nice. They have a pool and a gym. The suites have a couch, chair, coffee table, dining room table, small kitchen, 2 TVs, bathroom, closet, makeup/hair/sink area, and a king size bed. I unfortunately was only there for one night and couldn't take advantage of so the amenities. Price seems reasonable for the room.

The room was clean. All amenities were as described. The bed was comfortable and I was completely satisfied with my stay

In middle of a renovation so some construction and odor issues, but the newly renovated rooms look great. If using sofa bed, the room is cramped, but if not have plenty of room to exhale. Nice mini kitchen to save money, esp since hotel is 20 mins from kings dominion.

They are undergoing renovations right now and we stayed in a redone room and it was very nice looking. All new everything.

During my visit, they were remodeling the main floor. Needless to say it was quite hectic. My room was fine, standard as per Homewood Suites typical room. Employees were curious and friendly. A revisit may up the review pending completion of the construction.

The room was smokey but they moved us. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast servers were so sweet to us for mother's day.

OK..... this is a pretty decent property and all. Nice area, decent rooms, ets, etc. BUT, that said, I'm in the hotel relaxing after a long day drive. Was hopin' to chill and watch TV after a meal. Well guess again, we stay in rooms 60 to 80 nights a year, every year, I must say that this place has the absolute WORST TV availability. Nice TV's in nice room, crappy crappy crappy channels. NO HD...... HUH ??? 2017.....Correct, no HD !!! Channel selection is by far worst selection of all
time. Must be 1990's in this place !!! TV lineup at best very sad. If I was not stuck with this room I would leave and go someplace else. And no I'm not here for the TV. We are in town for Nascar weekend and we were hoping to view some decent TV during down time. Sure would be nice to have sports or music or .....well, most other available channels. Oh....ya, and in that new fangled HD thang !!!!
SHEESH !!!!!!! PS..... After try and try again with the WiFi I must confess, this service is slower than 1990's dial up !!!!!! So Soooooooooo Slooooow.
Absolutly terrible. The whole place is 90's era tech. Dial up speed wifi and sd only TV with a bare minimum of channel selection. It is a sad setup, Tsk tsk. Totally disappointted.

Great staff. Hotel very clean and renovated. Only thing I didn't like was I could hear foot steps from the floor above.

Decent hotel with nice long stay amenities. Had some issues with the AC not working but they changed our room after some dialogue with the managment staff. It took some time but thet eventuallt fufilled our request. Would like stay again but would likely check out other options before I settled on this choice.

Accommodations were generally good, there was basically breakfast and dinner provided on most days of the week.

Although the hotel is in the middle of a renovation, the room I stayed in was dated. Television quality was very poor, with small screens, poor picture quality and a slow menu system. The bathroom showed signs of painted over mold. Appliances in the kitchen were extremely loud. The fan speed in the bedroom could not be adjusted because the cord was missing. The carpet was ancient and loose, almost creating a trip hazard. The fitness room consisted of a couple of treadmills, some barbells and a bench. All of that said, the rooms and the overall building were extremely clean and service was excellent. Breakfast was good with a decent number of options. With the remodel complete, I would strongly consider returning.

Very nice hotel. It is a bit older however we were very comfortable during our stay.

I stayed in this hotel for 6 months, arriving Mondays and departing Fridays, while on temporary assignment. It is a nice facility, with nice staff, attentive housekeeping, and a decent continental breakfast each morning.

It is not a glamorous place to stay, but it is clean and I did not have issues with anything in the room, any raucous noise from other guest, or any issue with breakfast or billing. Price was right too.

Would stay here again if needed.

I was disappointed because when I booked the room I explained it was for my nephew birthday. I wanted a suite so the boys could play and swim. No one ever mentioned it was an outside pool. Who uses an outside pool in the middle of October.... The suite was a little small in my opinion. The staff was nice and it was clean.

Service staff was great and very friendly. Especially the morning breakfast crew. Room was spacious and had a good kitchen with full fridge and dish washer. Bedroom was separate which was nice. Only reason it lost a star was the room smelled musty and damp and the air conditioning didn't work that well.

Overall, the hotel was great but a few things made me want to remove a star. This is the best looking Homewood Suites yet. I actually hung out in the lobby for a few hours just people watching.l and enjoying the 42+" flat screens.

The downside...The pool hours are from 5pm to 10pm. My kids and I like to swim in the AM. Most other Homewood's provide oatmeal during breakfast and a robust offering of coffee. Finally, I found the lady at the front desk to be cold and uninviting. The rest of the staff was more friendly.

I fell in love with this chain more than 10 years ago in Texas. And seek it out on almost every trip. But sometimes the rate is too high for my wallet. I enjoy my stay but there are a few things they need to to do at this location. Replace or clean soiled carpet in hotel room i stayed as well as in other areas through out the hotel. Breakfast has good options as oatmeal,waffle,eggs, sausage but not very hot or warm as it should be. Staff very polite & friendly. Great gym. Shower has a leak from shower head & armchair armrest fabric worn down to frame. Not very appealing look for guest to see. These things took my four stars ratings to a three because of all things mentioned but then gained back a star for the $119 a nite rate which is cheaper than i've seen in other areas.

Great staff and service. Comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and will go out of their way for guests. Free breakfast and happy hours with enough food for dinner... dining room staff are wonderful!

I traveled here as part of my company, the service was 5 star! The whole staff is kind, food is great. They serve breakfast and dinner. Provide free WiFi that is fantastic (From At&t) fast which is usually not the case from hotels. Rooms are the best, pretty much a one bedroom apartment. I would definitely recommend this place, if I ever come back to Richmond, this is where I will be staying.

Great Hotel!!!!! Huge clean rooms.... kitchen and living room areas in all rooms. Also there is free hot breakfast every morning that they actually change during the week so it does not get old. The location is centrally located near tons of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment!

Room and bathroom were clean. Although there were multiple lights it was still dark in the shower area. I would stay again.
