Located in the Florentine countryside on the river Arno 15 minutes away from Ponte Vecchio - The hotel stands on the banks of the river Arno in the Florentine countryside only 5 miles 8 Km from the historic centre of Florence. The villa is surrounded by 25 acres of park with lemon trees and olive groves full of paths with a beautiful panorama of the Chianti hills. It is the perfect place to rest after a long day of touring in Florence. A private shuttle runs daily to and from Ponte Vecchio.

We had a wonderful time at Villa la Massa ! its an amazing slice of
paradise siting on the banks of the River Arno. My wife Kiki was blown away and is counting down the days to when she will return. Its close to the city but far enough away to feel disconnected from the buzzy tourists...the shuttle service is a big help and makes it very easy to get back and forth.....the staff were extremely nice! Go and relax in the spa! Enjoy.........

Villa La Massa is a 5 star hotel nestled in the countryside in a quiet and idyllic setting outside of Florence. Although there are several luxury options closer to the historic sites - Villa Massa has some exceptional staff that make it worth the shuttle commute. We specifically enjoyed our experience with Nicolas at the bar who welcomed us like family and provided us with creative cocktails and conversation. We spent several nights visiting the bar to enjoy his exceptionally welcoming service and expertise. This quality of service made our stay at Villa la Massa a memorable one and we hope to return in the near future. Only suggestion is to perhaps add a later night shuttle to bring folks back to the hotel if they venture into the city for dinner. That being said, we would not hesitate to return!

Experience Art in Paradise! I was invited to experience a life fresco painting exhibition held by the Iguarnieri Studio and wow what an amazing experience. All of the guests at the hotel were invited to watch and try the unique fresco painting and most of the children did! It was truly a special experience and the Artists were very generous to share their time and knowledge about the Florentine way of artisan crafts. The Iguarnieri studio is also currently showing their works inside the hotel until the end of the summer!

the restaurant should have at least 1 star in the guide Michelin not to forget Emileo one of the waitors.
Sitting by the pool in the afternoon enjoying the sundown being served a nice drink from the bar.

Very nice place right outside of Florence. Quiet and by the river. The excersise room was perhaps a little small, and some of the equipment was out of order. The restaurant prices was in the upper area, the wine list extensive, and the food was superb. The reccommended wine was affordable, and matched the meal perfectly. Our waiter was a bit erratic, but the rest of the staff was great! We also learned that it is possible to rent Ferarries through the hotel - which the boys will do next time around.

This is a beautiful hotel in the peaceful setting of the Tuscan countryside just outside of Florence and next to the river Arno. There are regular shuttle buses that drop you off right next to the Ponte Vecchio. The staff are polite and friendly.
