The room was nice, the location can't be beat for sure. Staff was helpful as well. They offered a free drink downstairs and breakfast was great at 25% off! My only complaint, had to be careful with the shower bc it could really be a watery mess on the floor afterwards the way the bathroom is laid out. But product and towels and pillows were just right, would definitely stay again!

A wonderful stay for the most part. The hotel is clean and modern, and the staff are amazing. The only issue is the wifi which is so slow and unreliable that it's almost unusable (mostly just frustrating but a real issue if you need to log in for a work emergency for example).

The central location is unbeatable. The service is friendly with attention to the details. The rooms are clean and functional. The Albus did exactly what it said it would and I would definitely stay here again if I am in this part of the world.

Beautiful hotel great location but the rooms can be noisy. If you stay get the breakfast it is worth it. The staff is attentive the service is great, the only reason i will not give a five is the small bathrooms and the noise from the rooms.

The hotel is about 15 top 20 min walkfrom central station, 2 mins from Rembrandt square and only 5 min walk from the metro and 2 from the tram line, these are all positive.

Too expensive for this quality. I believe that a hotel that charges quite a bit for accommodation there are severals factors that put you on my "#wontseemeagain" list. The bed and pillow are quite uncomfortable, the service is pretty amateur and sometimes could be offensive. As the desk lady (blonde hair, tall, blue eyes, thin one) was very arrogant when I requested the payment of my wife's breakfast. She was not nice at all. Hope the manager (tall guy, very friendly) may see this review. Sorry, but I won't see me again!

Amazing hotel! A welcome drink on arrival and a great location (only 2 tram stops from central station). Friendly and professional staff that really helped us with local info, getting around and buying tickets. The room comes with a Handy mobile that allows you to make international calls, explore the guides for places to go and saves you from data and roaming charges. It's a good sized room for a city hotel, supplied with a coffee machine and ear plugs for light sleepers. Would recommend the Angus burger if you go for room service one night

Hotel Albus is as vibrant as Amsterdam truly is. Judging just from the décor, it's a fun and sexy place to stay!

Located right outside the Albus, you'll find pretty much everything you're looking for in the vicinity. Bars, coffee shops, museums, clubs, great dining restaurants, canals, trams lines, bike rentals, or a short walk to Rembrandt's for lots of shopping! There are a lot of options when staying at The Albus. If you don't know where to head, ask the front desk staff. They have a bunch of great references or directions to where you want to go as well as offering a free trams line map of Amsterdam. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and caring! They just want you to have a wonderful stay in Amsterdam and make sure you have everything you need to do that!

We stayed in the family suite with the sofa bed. The room was VERY spacious and our daughter had plenty room to run around! Something she surely needed after all the flights we took in Europe! The suite offers two bathrooms with showers and one with an all-white standing tub. One amazing amenity we really loved is that The Albus offers a FREE travel buddy smart phone! This definitely came in handy when we were exploring the city of Amsterdam. We could easily locate directions when our phones didn't work without wifi. You're also allowed unlimited international calls and text from the travel buddy phone! How cool is that?! Not many hotels accommodate free international calls or a free smart phone. The Albus also supplied the room with a free a coffee making machine, bathrobes, slippers, flatscreen TV, desk, and toiletries. The only item that's not free in the room is an awesome Heineken dispenser! You have to pay 10 Euros for each refill but it's sure worth the money and will save you some cash rather then going to an outside bar!

Staying at The Albus sure felt like home. When we return to Amsterdam, we would gladly return to The Albus. It's great for families and young adults and I recommend staying here for the convenience of getting around and the hotel's positive vibes.

Firstly, I was given a noisy ground floor room (only one). Then they were nice to be flexible and give me an alternative room.
Place was clean, the internet worked and A/C was okay. It does have a fairly sterile feel to it.

Just stayed here and found it to be really nice. Room wasn't especially big but we didn't opt for anything large when booking. What we did have was decorated nicely. Complimentary coffee pod machine in room is a nice touch. Despite having a card for free public transport we hardly used it as although on the map the hotel appears to be far from the train station it is still very central to everything else you'd want to visit so that was nice. Have to specifically thank Jennifer on the front desk who really helped us out when we checked out on our last day. Thank you.

5

Okay for business trip, not really for leisure or couple/family -

The good:
-Location is great in central Amsterdam
-Wifi access is great.

The bad:
-Rooms are not well equipped and quite cold.

It is just okay for a business trip as you do not spend much time in the hotel and can do work at night, not the best option for leisure or couple/family.

Fine boutique hotel, good central location. Staff was helpful and kind. No major complaints but nothing particularly unique. Beds and bathrooms were a bit small but presumably par for the course for the area. Value consistent with price.

This is a nice hotel, stylish design in a great location. Sadly it is a little run down and missing the special touches that make a hotel great. I had a large room but it was a bit noisy over looking the main street with trams going past often.

Great boutique hotel with great service. The only issue I had was the construction noises in the morning but the hotel apologized and gave me free breakfast to apologize. Also there's an amazing restaurant in the hotel called Senses, so you're close to great food.

Decent hotel, good location with the Van Gogh museum within a 20 minute walking distance. Good night life and restaurants are just on the door step.

Staff are friendly and very attentive, you are always welcomed with a smile.

Our room was fairly small so make sure to double check with the hotel which room you are getting. It may be because I booked through a comparison site.

I stayed here with friends in early August 2016. The central location is excellent for easy travel to and from anywhere in Amsterdam, and the Albus service is friendly and helpful.
The only thing that frustrated me was the Wi-Fi signal that I kept losing on my devices in my room from time to time.

Good location near the heart of Amsterdam. Hotel facilities are limited but the rooms are spacious enough. The hotel restaurant was very nice.
