The hostess this weekend is super friendly, helpful, and gracious. Perfect location for exploring Downton Seattle.

There is a reason this is a 5 star hotel. The hospitality alone is worth every star! Evan at the front desk made our stay incredible! I highly recommend this hotel, and will most definitely stay here again.
The spa suite is worth the upgrade, if anyone was wondering! Trust me, just do it!

I travel to Seattle on the regular for work and the Kimpton Alexis is my home-away-from-home when I'm in town. The 1st Ave location is fantastic, close to amazing restaurants (check in with Heartwood Provisions next door), Pike's Market, the waterfront, and the downtown financial district.

The rooms are modern, chic and comfortable! I love the thoughtful details in the rooms, like extra pillows and the evening cocktail social in the lobby. The Bookstore, the in-hotel restaurant/bar serves up tasty food and craft cocktails (plus room service if it was a long day).

Calling this hotel's customer services representative was the best idea for me. I was able to get the reservations for my family. The dining area was spacious. The lounge bar serves good mixed drinks as well. I can't wait to stay here again with my family. A five-stars satisfaction rating for this hotel's genuine assistance.

Highly recommended for both meetings and friends as well for having an excellent atmosphere. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure!

Overall this is a nice hotel, with a great location, style and comfort, but I have a few complaints. Traffic was horrible getting to the hotel, which required us to valet our car for $43 per night. We waited at a stoplight 8 green/red changes without moving!! The other issue is the noise. I am a very heavy sleeper and I noticed the traffic/exterior noise was very loud. Dumpsters (maybe 10) were being picked up at 5am on Saturday morning. The extremely loud and abrupt dumpster pickup lasted for 10 minutes and woke everyone up.

Overpriced. Charged an amenity fee upon checkout for the opportunity to drink "free" water and coffee. Found two old beer cans left in our room upon check in.

Stayed for 4 nights and ate breakfast at the hotel one morning. The rooms are very comfy and roomy. Very easy to share beds as well. Breakfast is delicious. Had the French omelette and completely filled me up! Very tasty. In a great location. Close to the pier and the farmers market. Very convenient to take the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. Near lots of good restaurants and shops. Overall a very lovely 4 nights, would stay again 😊

Location is great. A casual and relatively level 8 min walk from Pike Place Market. Rooms are a mixed bag. Our room was HUGE (probably over 1,000 Sq ft}, but we got an upgrade. My family member got a standard room which, although good size, wasn't nearly as impressive. Appointments and fixtures are nice, but you can clearly tell that this is an old hotel that was renovated. Lobby is nice, but hallways to the rooms clearly show the age of the building. Service is good. Staff are helpful and courteous. Overall, a very good experience

I booked a room for my Sister and her Husband with my points. When she arrived they upgraded her to a suite And I’m told we’re treated amazingly. Ehen I use my points with other hotels to book a room, I end up getting just a standard room on the bottom floor somewhere by the elevator. I really appreciate how the hotel staff treated my sister and her husband on their special day! Thank you!

I came to the Alexis for an all day company event. Very clean and well kept for sure but cannot comment on the rooms unfortunately. Staff were quite friendly and was very conscious of the little details. Based on my impression, I'd definitely stay here as a guest if I wasn't a local! They're close enough to Pike place and all of the fun touristy stuff anyone would want to do in Seattle

Very nicely renovated interior. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. There's complimentary coffee in the morning and wine during happy hour. Our room (spa suite) had a nice view of the water and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom.

Beautiful room and love the artwork. Fantastic location as we could walk everywhere we wanted to go as tourists. The big things are wonderful. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the wine hour tasting as we waited for our ride to dinner. It was little things that brought it down a star. Given it is an old building, it is a bit noisier. Was woken by upstairs guest at 4 am, then housekeeping upstairs at 8 am. Towels are very rough, hair dryer needs cleaning for better air flow, and did not expect cheap bulk supply shampoo and body wash in bathroom.

We went to Seattle for 6 days & stayed at 3 hotels depending on location. We stayed at Hotel Alexis for 2 of these days, primarily on our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The staff was great & made fantastic 'locals' recommendations for things to do. Thanks to Shante for the special Michele Sparkling wine & brownie cake for our anniversary. We felt so special!! And, as we left, she gave us a fun packet to give to our daughter Alexis when we got back home. Nice touch! Also the Bookstore Restaurant has Fabulous food!!! We loved our time at Hotel Alexis.... highly recommend this hotel!!!

Very nice and spacious rooms, pretty quiet from either other guests or street noise, and very nice staff. We choose this hotel largely due to their dog friendliness, and in this they excelled. They provided dog beds, goody bags with toys and treats, and we're all obviously dog lovers at heart. Over all, a very pleasant stay!

Not bad, but would not choose to stay here again. They have beautiful rooms and a nice happy hour. But the rooms do not seem ready. Upon arrival the TV did not work. There was not a coffee machine in the room although you can request one be brought to the room.. beware the glasses they give you for coffee are tiny and overflow... but what IS in the room is a fully stocked and overpriced snack bar and fridge (water $8) taking up a lot of space! It just felt like they're after your money and for the price this hotel costs I would expect more!

This place has given us everything we want for a weekend getaway. Its close to major attractions either by walking, public transportation, or by using lyft. The rooms offer good space and a good place to rest our feet after a long days walk. I would highly recommend and will consider repeat use the next time we come to Seattle

My stay at this hotel was beyond anything I could expect.

Firstly, the location was key. We were walking distance from everywhere we wanted to visit in Downtown Seattle - Pike Place market (4 blocks), Pioneer Square (4 blocks), Space Needle (5 minute drive), Safeco Field (5 minute drive).

The rooms were gorgeous. The amenities were amazing. And all of the staff were beyond helpful and always friendly.

Don't waste your time anywhere else. Stay at the Alexis. It will be your best decision on your trip to Seattle.

Lovely Kimpton hotel in downtown Seattle. Close to most of Seattle's attraction: 10-minute walk to Pioneer Square / Smith Tower; 5-7 minute walk to Pike Place Market: 10-15 minute walk to the monorail station that take you to the Space Needle / Seattle Center; and 5-10 minute walk from the waterfront and the Great Wheel.

Great whiskey/bourbon selection at the Bookstore, the hotel's bar and restaurant.

Delightful, romantic, attention to personal care for guests. Perfect way to continue celebrating a birthday at the Highway 99 Blues Club. Fireplace, room service and beverages - cozy evening in stormy Seattle last night. Request room 401, and enjoy also the on room library of interesting books, couple's shower, modern 4 post bed with high 4-side high rails, strong enough for energetic playfulness. Otherwise, peace and quiet.

Had a great time! Staff was friendly and very responsive! The room was great as well! We stayed in the Author Suite which was funny because I am an author! The room was spacious and clean with a fireplace so perfect for a romantic getaway. Also it was our anniversary and there were chocolates and champagne waiting when we arrived! The hotel is located centrally on First Ave near the market and retail distract as well as Pioneer Square. If you do not want to go anywhere the Bookstore Bar has great food and awesome drinks as well. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it again

Don't let my crummy bottom of the line phone pictures dissuade you. The view on the water-side is great. It is a well situated base-camp for a city vacation. The rooms are clean, useable, and homey enough for comfort with nice amenities. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. The hotel gave us complimentary champagne and chocolate for our anniversary and a nice room. We had a heater issue that was repaired by quickly moving us and offering some compensation. The rooms are quite. I heard no one unless passing them in the hall. The restaurant was a little sparse on portion and a tad pricey but I had the best muscles I've ever eaten and wonderful breakfasts. It is a romantic and fun atmosphere that I would not hesitate to return to.

I stayed at this hotel back in October and have been meaning to write a review ever since. I travel frequently for business and pleasure, and this was easily the most enjoyable hotel experience I've had in a long time. The front desk staff, valet, and any other staff members we encountered were so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We were traveling with my two small dogs, and upon arrival the pups were offered treats, water, and toys, and I was offered a glass of wine. The front desk staff also gave us great recommendations on cocktail lounges and restaurants to try nearby.
Of course the room was beautiful and very clean, but the service we received from the staff is what really made the experience. I will now go out of my way to stay at this Kimpton whenever I'm back in Seattle. I hope the hotel managers know what wonderful front desk staff they have!

Upscale boutique style rooms. Beware the connected restaurant charges an extra percent to cover wage increases so labeled prices are quickly inflated, avoid room service unless you feel like spending an arm and a leg. Walk in showers with raindrop style shower heads are really nice. Amazon Alexa in every room and plenty of power ports nearby on the desk including 5v 2a USB for when you forget your charger but have your cables. TV was smaller than expected but channel selection is premium and all channels came in high definition.

This is one of our most favorite hotels. Anytime we have family that's flying in town, we always recommend they stay here and it gets nothing but the highest praise. The rates are very reasonable for what you get. This place has the old building charm, and the inside is immaculate and you can tell that the employees take tremendous pride in what they do. Getting the level of customer service that you receive at the Alexis Hotel is something other hotel should model after.

My first room was a lovely queen room, but a water heater issue got me moved to a king room overlooking 1st Ave on the third floor. The room is beautiful, with everything I could ask for in terms of amenities. My only complaint (and it's a very minor one) is that the road noise can be a little distracting when the drapes are open. They do a good job blocking noise when closed, but I prefer to have them open during the day. No trouble sleeping, but if you have work to do in the room during the day, try to get a room on a different side!

I have stayed in a lot of hotels. The staff is great. As hotels go it on the quieter end with a few exceptions.

My room faced an alley which helped minimize the street noises. The floor above my room was extremely squeaky! I am aware that the hotel is housed in a historic but hearing squeaking when you are trying to go to bed and then to wake up to creaking is a bit frustrating. If you are sensitive to noise you may want to ask for a room on the top floor.

My floor did not have ice machine but rather a chest freezer with small bags of ice. Ice machines are often noisy so I like the alternative offered. Then at night I heard the lid slamming after people were retrieving some late night ice. If you are sensitive to noise you may ask for a room not adjacent to an ice chest.

None I what I reviewed would keep me from staying at the hotel again but I would be high maintenance and request a room that minimized certain noises. Regardless of the noise the staff was stellar.

We enjoyed 4 nights at the Alexis in an executive suite. (nice upgrade from the "regular" suite we had booked.) The room had a good view of the Puget Sound and Seattle's "Great Wheel". The location was fantastic. Fairly easy walk to Pike Place Market, slightly up hill. (which means downhill on the way back when you're tired!) And also a very easy walk to the Pioneer Square area. (Tip on hotel locations in Seattle...booking a room at a place like the Alexis on First Avenue means you want be walking up steep hills to get back to your room as there are many things to do at the 1st Avenue "level" of the city.)

It was fun having an Amazon Alexa Dot in the room (Though because it was a suite 'she' was in the living room and not the bedroom where we were a lot, so it wasn't as convenient to talk with her.) And when I say "talk with her" I had many late night existential conversations with Alexa...she said "I don't know that one" a lot. We'll get there Alexa...we'll get there...

We also enjoyed the fitness room...there are 2 actually...a "functional" fitness room (which seemed like a good standard to label a room...glad it wasn't dis-functional...) which includes weights and a climbing wall...yes, a climbing wall.) And a cardio room which has the treadmills etc...)

The entrance itself isn't quite as grand as other hotels with a largish area to hang out (which makes the Kimpton Wine Hour more fun and social for everyone).

Fruit infused water was stationed for much of the day by the elevators. (Though a couple of times we got back later at night and it was gone...)

The staff at the front desk and at the bar restaurant were friendly.

We'd definitely stay here again. Great location for exploring Seattle and all the Kimpton amenities you want.

The Kimpton made me see what a upscale hotel really has to offer over the competition. In addition to friendly staff, it was the interior that made the Kimpton Alexis memorable. Unfortunately, I'm no interior design major so words escape me but at the end of the day, the rooms were cozy, spacious, and had a charm to them. The hotel is within walking distance of the light rail, the pier, and many resturants. So whether you're ready to hit a night on the town or experience the eateries that Seattle has to offer, the Kimpton Alexis will make sure your stay is enjoyable and memorable.

Incredible service and beautiful rooms. I had a company event there that ran perfectly thanks to a guy named Sao. Just got back from our stay at the amazing Alexis. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. From the customer service of every staff member to the accommodations, everything was perfect. The room we were given was an executive suite on the top floor with a great view of the water and mountains. It was very spacious and we loved the decor. We were there celebrating our son's birthday and they even sent up complimentary micro beers, cookies and milk, and a very sweet note. You don't get this special service at a typical chain hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we return. Great location as well to walk everywhere so we never needed our car. Thanks Alexis!!!!

Our room was huge! A one bedroom suite came with a whole wardrobe room, dining table for ten, lounge area with large lounge, spa bathroom and more! Super impressed there, so a little surprised that things like wine glasses and a coffee maker aren't included.

Beautiful hotel though, great food at the bookstore bar below, where the room service comes from. Staff are excellent too.

Very comfortable for business or personal travel with premium service from bell hop to the front desk. Artwork of local artists are showcased throughout the hotel with various gallery positioned pieces positioned through main halls. Complimentary herbal infused seasonal water and wine at happy hour.
