Afternoon Tea is exceptional here!! Go hungry as it is Unlimited sandwiches, cakes & tea. Staff were excellent, accommodating our leftovers to take home boxed up beautifully. Definitely treat a loved one here, they will not be disappointed.

Wow!The hotel is very clean and neat, the ushers are lovely and very welcoming, they smile and willing to help just like the waiters. They always give you the best and get your order right.

The rooms are very nice, clean and warm especially for winter times, the air conditioning system is working nicely.Bring welcoming champagne and always having two bottles of still and spring water on your room.Have some magazine to read.

If you have any queries they always speed to help you. There's a good gym if you're if you like to exercise just like me keeping shape, healthy and strong. The lift is always working.
All the staff and the management are very nice people and their very professional that's why their one of the five star hotels.

Had afternoon tea (again!) and it was all perfect (again). The sandwiches on a variety of breads are very fresh with quality and tasty ingredients, the jam is home-made daily as are the delicious scones. The only problem is making sure you remember to leave room for the luxurious cakes and patisserie afterwards! It's topped off by enjoying all this in the elegant and comfortable dining room and courtesy of the superb service. Thank you!

Had Afternoon Tea at Browns Hotel today. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. I loved the beautiful drawing room where tea was served, the selection of lovely teas and the excellent service. It was my birthday and i m so pleased I chose this venue. I had such a lovely day.

What can i say! Elegant setting and lovely food. Made for a lovely afternoon. Service attentive and perfect. Lowest priced bottle of red £90 which we thought steep. You can find gorgeous wines at top restaurants from £40 a bottle. Our £600 bill was half food and half wine.

We've been lucky to stay at most 5-star hotels in London, and this was our first time at the excellently outstanding Browns and won't be our last.
We had our daughters birthday and from the moment we arrived at the hotel the service, the people, the attention to detail was beyond any of the other top 5 star hotels; from Givi, Max and the other doormen, to the reception staff, Wakhim and last but not least Janine who throughout was a super star in arranging surprises for the girls (not easy with 12) and ensuring everything went as smooth as it possibly could. The rooms are fantastic, the break / lounges are lovely area's for eating but no doubt its the service that sets this apart.
We very much look forward to returning in the near future.

We went there for afternoon tea in The English Tea Room. And it’s the best afternoon tea experience I have ever had so far in London! The place is traditional, classic and beautiful. The food was gorgeous, they brought out freshly baked scones after the sandwiches. The service was impeccable, the waiter came to pull tea for us when the cups were less than half full, he also offered us different freshly baked cakes even we already had our cakes selection. I will definitely bring my friends and my family here when they visit London. It’s even better value and service than Claridge’s (I will still rate it with 4 stars). And far beyond Fortnum & Mason, where I had the worst experience: the manager was even shouting at us.

This is the hotel with a lot of historical significance, the jungle book was written here. It was visited by Alexander Graham Bell, Winston Churchhill. Also Theodore Roosevelt honeymooned here.

The bar downstairs is beautiful with well dressed uniformed attendees. It has an old time elegance feel.

The cocktails served were divine.

Went for afternoon tea. We had reservations for 2:30 but they sat us early as soon as we arrived. The sandwiches are all you can eat and they were amazing!! Scones and desserts were fantastic too. Tea selection was impressive. You have 2 hours of time reserved for your table. Service was excellent.

Brown's Hotel is a famous and history laden spot in London. We were invited to afternoon tea with our English "family" from Stafford while staying in town. I loved everything about the tea except the cucumber sandwiches!

Amazing venue with so much interesting history. Service was fantastic and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the carbonara pasta special as this was a feast for the senses and unlike any pasta dish I've ever had. Will certainly be returning!

Brown's Hotel is an excellent hotel, everything was perfect. The location is perfect, close to many interesting places to visit. The staff is excellent, professional and friendly. As an example, I lost money in my room and the staff put it on the table. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the view are quite bad. The restaurant is also excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and I recommend this hotel!

Some staff were lovely (for example: John the doorman & Miguel from the tea room) others were snooty/rude. Food is a bit hit and miss.

My partner and I booked a formal afternoon tea here and were rather disappointed. It's a special treat to take afternoon tea in a place like this. But besides the doorman John and the lovely gentleman Miguel, who served us for part of our Tea... the experience was somewhat wanting.

The bearded host in the tearoom was rude and quite obnoxious. He muttered something to my partner about "doing our jobs for us" when he spotted her topping up our pot with hot water. Perhaps if he'd been doing his job, she'd not have to do it for him?

The staff that seated us refused our request for a window table with the excuse that it was booked. The table we asked for remained empty for the duration of our stay.

The tearoom was also full of awful people that felt it was ok to show up in trainers and jeans.
There were some Spanish tourists at a table nearby lounging around like they were relaxing in a brothel, shortly after an orgy.

The food had obviously been prepared a bit too long before hand. The greens were limp and sad looking. The sandwiches presented in a shoddy manner.

There are plenty of other places doing afternoon tea. This place is to be avoided.

The bathrooms were nice though.

This is such an amazing hotel! The rooms are incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service is impeccable and will exceed almost any expectations. The food and beverage is absolutely fantastic, as well. Even if you don't get to stay here I highly recommend coming for tea. It is an experience you shall not soon forget.

The good: lovely rooms and kind staff. Good location. The popup restaurant is absolutely divine, the tea room is completely amazing and both are worth visits in their own right.

The bad: Breakfast was total rubbish. If you don't have it in the room rate it is 30 pounds *a head* for the most awful english breakfast. The continental is OK. Service is slow and unattentive and they regularly messed up my order and the staff seem not to understand how breakfast works. Fix the breakfast you have a 5 star place.

We went to the hotel for afternoon tea after seeing a review in the Telegraph. I chose the Teatox and my wife chose the standard afternoon tea. Both were nice but on balance I personally preferred the normal afternoon tea. The room is small and quaint and it was a quite day so service was good. Definitely worth a visit.

The prepared formal tea was absolutely wonderful! Finger sandwiches, bagels and lox, and small desserts were tasty and plentiful. Decent hotel, obviously well located. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size with good bathrooms. Not keen on the new products though- bring back the Ren! The staff are rather hopeless- from Receptionists to waiting staff they weren't great with the exception of one lovely porter. One particularly unfortunate concierge was a bit greedy for tips and rude when not forth coming not realising that I generally pay tips on leaving, English style- not each time like an American. I've known this hotel from before it was Rocco Forte for at least 25 years and it has slowly gone downhill over the years. The staff are clearly not well looked after and they grumble amongst each other when they think you're not listening about their conditions- Most off putting!

Went to the hotel for afternoon tea. I hadn't heard of the hotels reputation for aternoon tea, but it was probably the best i have had anywhere. This is the first time where you can as many refills as you like, of anything. Classic finger sandwiches, scones and beautiful cakes. Definatley worth it for a special occasion

Wonderfull experience, my daughter was treated by her aunty for hightea. It was her 8th birthday and they even played Happy Birthday for her on the piano and brought a cake in with a candle to blow. We all enjoyed the delicious fingerfoods, the service and the tea which made this the best birthday. We left with our tummies and hearts filled with bliss.

afternoontea service was excellent. refillable sandwiches and pastries. they also give you aslice of cake at the end to take away.

Brown's has made me feel entirely pampered, without making me feel out of place or under dressed. The staff is impeccably polite and helpful. We visited here for some drinks with a friend. The bar is lovely. Solid wood panels on the wall, comfy chairs and a gas flame fire.

The staff are very attentive and the wine list is quite diverse without being overwhelming. We received some lovely olives and nuts with each bottle of champagne we ordered.

Will definitely visit again.

Lovely afternoon tea at the English Tearooms but the service was a little slow. We were waiting over 45 minutes before our pots of tea made it to the table. The food was lovely although whilst clearing the table they clumsily dropped cutlery on us... You expect much better service when it's over £50 a head.

My wife and I stayed at Browns for five nights during our recent trip to Europe. The service was excellent, friendly and personal without being stuffy or too formal. We were upgraded to a spacious suite and our room was ready for us to get some much needed sleep by only 10.00am after an overnight transatlantic flight. Definitely recommended.

I had the traditional afternoon tea here and loved it. It's a great venue and the staff are incredibly polite, helpful and welcoming. The pianist is a lovely touch and we very much enjoyed listening to them.
The afternoon tea itself was delicious and additional supplies of sandwiches/scones are brought before you've even thought about wanting more! There is a brilliant choice of tea and you're provided with a sample of your chosen tea (in leaf form naturally) to take home with you.
It's a lovely place to celebrate a special occasion.

Attended a corporate event. Has plenty of old fashioned charm. Staff did ask us to be quiet and move on as VIPs were arriving. Put me in my place. Canapés were very good. Hotel filter coffee was best in that genre that I have had in a while, but it was still conference coffee. Nice hand printed wallpaper in room, a Kipling poem about a path in a forest.

Locals had told me this was the best High Tea in London. Can't say for sure but it sure seemed so to me! Really great! The "Tea-Tox" was just as attractive and appetizing as the traditional tea... perfect for diabetics or weight-watchers! Wonderful service too!
