We stayed here for four days. The hotel was very clean throughout. Breakfast was okay but would of liked some hot oatmeal and brown bread. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was very hot outside and the air conditioner worked very well.

From the reception desk to the room, it was the best. The staff took extra care and attention to everything. The hot tub was nice and warm. Breakfast, delicious. We will be sure to stay with Canalta on our next visit.

The location was great and quiet right next to a Canadian Tire. There's many food options very close. The rooms are clean and spacious with very nice amenities. They had a great pool with a hot tub and steamroom along with a gym. A washer and dryer room. The front lobby has a great breakfast and computers with printer.

A recent 4 day stay in Selkirk was enhanced by the pleasant atmosphere at the Canalta... the staff were very helpful with our inquiries and requests throughout the stay... The breakfast selection and freshness was above average in our experience. The room was comfortable and cool with plenty of towels at the ready.

My experience was awesome , the rooms were very clean which is very important to me! Nice large room with a great breakfast in the morning. Close to hospital, which is where I was going everyday but close to tonnes of shopping also , any girls dream :)

Loved everything about it. From the time we were checking in until checking out everything was wonderful. The girls at reception were amazing, so helpful and welcoming. Rooms great. Pool & hottub was great. Their breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend this Hotel.

The staff were friendly and quick to offer assistance. Easy check-in. The pool and rooms were well maintained and clean. Loved the big comfy pillows. We all enjoyed the continental breakfast.

All hotels should take an example from this one! You walk in the door to this absolutely wonderful clean fresh antisceptic smell! Bright and friendly! Lovely roomy rooms open views in all directions no claustraphobia here! Huge bathrooms compared to most hotels! Handy shopping and restaurants close by. A makeup mirror / shave mirror would be a nice addition!

We came to Selkirk to go Cat fishing on the Red, we had a later check in and they were ready for us.
when they heard we had the boat they offered the use of a locked storage room for our gear. We did not need it but i thought it was a great option to have.
Front desk girl was amazing and easy to talk to, rooms were Great!
The morning breakfast was perfect, had everything we needed.

We stay in a lot of different hotels throughout Manitoba and this is the best hotel we have stayed in!

It's a very nice modern hotel, with an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. There is coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. The staff were all very pleasant.

The room was clean with lots of electrical outlets, and the bed was comfortable, with a choice of soft or firm pillow. The wifi was excellent.

This hotel is AMAZING. The staff are great, the rooms are c lean. The sheets and towels are fresh. This is a 5 star hotel at a 1 star cost. If you're staying in Selkirk, you should be staying here!!

Your hotel staff is great. We checked in on March 29th . The young lady at the front desk was fantastic with information on the hotel and other questions about the area. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The breakfast started earlier than stated on the weekend . Over all I was very happy with my stay. If they could have only made the fish bite better it would have been a perfect trip.

I have one complaint - we booked an open access room, which we got. The problem was with exterior access. The snow and ice weren't completely cleared away; entry to our room was dicey to say the least. I ended up parking parallel to the room door so that my husband, who uses a cane and has just recently learned to walk again, only had to go two steps on packed snow. Even that was uncomfortable for him. The front of the hotel was ice and snow free but he didn't want to go back around to the front and walk through the lobby as he needed to use the washroom sooner rather than later. So just being certain that open access rooms actually have easy, open access would be good! P.S. - why are open access rooms more expensive than other standard rooms? They are 'standard' for people who need them.

Great place to stay. Awesome hot breakfast each day before fishing. Staff is friendlier than any place in the US. Always willing to help out with storing fishing gear and ensuring our needs are met or exceeded. I will be back!

We were up staying for a fishing trip and had a great stay. Rooms are very nice but a little on the expensive side. We received a guided fishing discount they have but it was still more money for the room that than another place we where we stay on other trips that is equally as nice. We have already booked for next year so my negatives are minor. They do need an air freshener in the fish cleaning room out back. I about passed out walking in there.

A nice complimentary breakfast is greatly appreciated. Coffee was excellent. Enjoyed the cleanliness and quietness. The hospitality when we arrived was exceptional. Michelle helped us with our future reservations. She was empathetic and understanding of our error. She is a great asset to your hotel.

We had the honeymoon suite for the first time .The staff was great assisting my family set up this surprise for us , they helped assist the perfect timing for my husband and my work schedules. They let them in earlier than our check in to decorate the room with flowers and some personal touches including our luggage so all we had to do was arrive . The staff was sure to inform us of all options we could use for our dinner. The breakfast is always great and a real treat .The staff is always exceptionally friendly and take the time to tell us about all the amenities at the Selkirk location as well as other locations across Canada.

Hotel was beautiful. Large, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, large breakfast area. Staff were very accommodating for a group of parents with 9 and 10 year old hockey players. Kids had a blast, parents too. Would definitely recommend for teams, maybe not so much for a couple getaway, unless you like being in the noise of kids playing mini sticks :)

We've stayed here a handful of times over the last few years and have always had a great experience. The staff is always warm and welcoming, the rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the continental breakfast offers a good selection. The pool area is great for kids and the fresh popcorn is always welcome.

Staff friendly and helpful. Early check-in for family reasons with no extra cost. Wonderful free hot breakfast included. Beautiful space in lobby for always availability coffee or hot chocolate by the fire. Shopping close by. Pool for the children. Choice of soft or hard pillows.

My last stay with your hotel was weekend of 2 December 2017. This was my 3rd (I think). It is very clean, staff welcoming and nice. I stayed in 423 and I am sad to say that I found the mattress to be kind of thin. I could feel springs or something after a long position on one side. Other times I have found that the mattress was excellent. The continental breakfast has a big enough variety for me and tasty. Keep up the good work.

Booked the hotel so my son and his 3 friends could have a birthday swim party. The pool I had rented was out of commission so we had to change the party. It worked out really well. We were given early check in which meant they could start swimming at 2pm Sunday. Was a great time for a pool party as most guests hadn't checked in yet the boys had a great time in the pool for over 2 hours and had it pretty much to themselves. Then the popcorn was great that evening.
My son loved his birthday. Thanks for being so accommodating and letting us save the party.

My stay at the Canalta Hotel in Selkirk this weekend was great! The front desk staff there were amazing and very accomadating. The Staff was so helpful, friendly and made me feel completely comfortable and safe. Had a little problem well staying there, with unwanted visitors and the staff helped me get rid of them with easy. I WOULD definitely recommend everyone to stay here one night or more for an enjoyable experience. THE BEST HOTEL SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THANKS CANALTA! !!! Keep up the good work!!

We've been staying at the Selkirk Canalta since September 2015 and every time we return, there is always a warm and friendly welcome from the front desk staff. When we get into our room it is always clean and fresh. We appreciate the pet friendly feature and continue to enjoy it always. The complimentary breakfast is totally outstanding and I personally appreciate the fresh hot coffee in the morning even before the staff start to set up for breakfast. All the staff are friendly and courteous and go out of their way to show it.

The Canalta is clean and comfortable. The bed gives me a restful night sleep with a great shower to wake up with.
The hot portion of the breakfast is weak and prepackaged.
The popcorn is such a great hello and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend staying at the Canalta. It's beautiful, comfortable, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is excellent. I will be more than happy to stay there again.

Very nice big room. Was nice having a big sofa to sit on in the room to relax on. The bed was just a bit hard. Would be nice if there was more green space, we had our small dog with us and there was only gravel and pavement on the premises so we had to go off the property for a grassed area

Has a great stay here! The beds and blankets were cozy, room was spacious. Staff was very helpful and there was a storage room to store my business supplies for vending at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and different each morning, and the pool, hot tub & steam room was a fantastic addition to help relax. I would definitely stay here again!

Newly built hotel, and it shows. Spent a few hours here using the swimming pool. Pool area was nice and big and great for kids. The decline from the shallow end to the deep end is small, so it was great for my kids (4 & 5). Hotel is really clean and we'll kept.

It's a nice hotel in its own right, but for Selkirk, you won't find better. With no competition, I have to assume it's pride that makes this place top notch.

Good breakfast, great service. Roons were clean and swanky. Pool was just ok, but the hot tub was good. Wieghtroom absolutely stuffed with Rugrats when I was there, so the 18+ age restriction looks more like a guideline.

Went here with my family after a long drive from Branson, Missouri. The staff were super friendly. We were on first name terms by the time we left. Alicia and Michelle (one a blonde one a brunette) left a fantastic impression and made sure that us and our dogs were comfortable! Being a former Winnipegger I was so proud to have them demonstrate such wonderful hospitality that Canadians are known for.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The AC almost got too cold, but that's a fixable thing. The beds were soft and they gave us plenty of pillows - two soft and two firm. Lots of space, a fridge and a microwave, as well as a table and chairs to eat at. We only ate breakfast once, but the staff got us anything we needed and made sure we were all happy with what we got.

The area around the Canalta is nice grassy area, perfect for letting the dogs get some exercise. Not too noisy and Selkirk has everything you may need. It's nearby Lockport, Bird's Hill Park and not too far a drive from Winnipeg itself.

Absolutely reccommend this place and look forward to future stays!

Staff was polite and amazing, stayed for one night for a social, was hungover and they gave us an extended check out, on short notice to let us sleep in longer. My girlfriend had the complimentary breakfast and said it was awesome, loved the DIY Waffles. Will definitely stay again if in the Selkirk area.
