Amazing Staff And Clean Environment. Needed To Get Out Of House For A Couple Days. Me And My Daughter Will Come Here From Now On When I Need A Getaway. Highly Recommend.

We were here with adjoining rooms for 10 days while a loved one was being treated at Sloan Kettering. The staff were phenomenal. They accommodated us with adjoining rooms and the housekeeping staff made sure we had extra supplies and changed the sheets as needed as we had different family members coming a going. They made the whole experience so much better.

The location is convenient- quiet neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. The staff was very nice and the fitness center was large and well maintained.

The rooms were small but the beds were comfortable. The walls are incredibly thin- we could hear absolutely every word said in the hallway.

On one day housekeeping didn’t come by at all (we left the room at 12:30 and were gone the rest of the day) and the next day they knocked on our door and tried to come in at 8:30am. It was annoying.

All in all it’s a good budget choice for the neighborhood if you bring earplugs.

I stay a lot of hotels. The courtyard here in Upper Manhattan is very well run. From check-in, to valet parking of my car, and suggestions for local restaurants all of it was very well done. Honestly, the staff was so friendly, I thought I was back in the south. The room is very well done, very well appointed, and in a great location. Many, many restaurant very nearby. Parks nearby. And overall, just a great place to be. I will certainly stay here again.

Courtyard properties are by far the best for my budget and they are everywhere. I waited in the lobby until Edson let me know right away after a room became available. Her checked me in promptly! Very comfortable, large, well lit lobby with plenty of seating and the market place has some snacks, drinks, etc. My King bedroom suite was very clean, bathroom was spotless and bed made nicely. I had a great view from where I was on the 12th floor.

This is my third time at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well-organized. We had two rooms and asked for them to be a joining and they were able to meet our expectations. The location of the hotel is really good. It is a 10 minute walk to the subway station and a five minute walk to the nearest bus. It is the real New York. You're located in a neighborhood in the Upper East Side and it is interesting just to go into the little shops and people watch. The only negative is that where 1 puts their luggage after checking out but before leaving is not secured. All of our stuff was there but it was concerning that someone could have come in while we were sightseeing the final day and just taking our stuff.

The rooms were a little small but is expected in the New York City Hotel. In a convenient location to Times Square can Upper West Side. A lot of little shops and food around the area. There weren't any vending machines at the hotel however there was a little store the front of the hotel by the front desk where you can get snacks and drinks for a cost. The only ice machine is in the lower level. The air in our room was not working that great I'm not sure if it was because it's an old heating and air conditioning system for that it was a hundred degrees outside and we were on a top floor. About 15 minutes away from Yankee Stadium without traffic. The staff was all very friendly and super accommodating.

Room was small but clean and nice. Hotel advertised a pool but upon arrival was advised it was closed permanently... HUGE disappointment for my kids! Which in turn was a disappointment for me. Restaurant was closed for construction. No efforts were made by hotel to amend for the pool closure or restaurant closure... Simply took our money without so much of an apology....

I stayed here the weekend of 2/10/18. Checked in upon arrival only to be given a room with 2 double beds, instead of the King size I reserved. I called the front desk and learned that they bumped me for another reservation because I booked under a friends/family special rate. The front desk folks were not helpful and said they had no rooms with a King size available...so much for a romantic weekend with the girlfriend! To top that off...when we went to shower Sunday AM, turned on the water and it poured out dark brown!! Had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the water to clear up, but it was disgusting!! This hotel is old, outdated and nothing special. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is for the comfort of the bed...for which my GF and I slept in separate one's ;)

This hotel is listed in Mt. Sinai's booklet with information for new patients and their families. I picked this hotel because I have a Marriott rewards account and Marriott hotels are our first choice when traveling. My husband had a procedure at Mt. Sinai and he had to stay overnight. The hotel location is convenient to the hospital, under ten dollars for the cab ride to and from the hospital. The room is a typical Marriott room, clean and comfortable, which is all I needed. I went to the lobby to check out and to get a cab back to the hospital at 8:00 am, I asked the desk clerk if she could call a cab for me, she said she could not. The morning of January 9th. was cold and windy, I went out the door walked to the corner and spent 15 minutes trying to hail a cab to get back to the hospital. I am very disappointed that the hotel would not call for a cab for me.

A quiet upper east side location that never ceases to please. Easy get to/from LGA and now with the sliver line easy to get to the rest of Manhattan as well. Check out the Drunken Monkey just a half block up 92nd for a fun place to grab a drink or late night Indian cuisine on your way home from getting drinks.

Pros: not too expensive for Manhattan, friendly staff, generally clean and nice-looking, pretty close to the new 2nd Ave subway. Cons: giant space under the door to my room. It was honestly an inch and a half. I could hear everything that was happening out in the hall. Also not great water pressure.

Quality hotel, beautiful lobby. Zero problems with my stay.

The exercise room here is by far the best gym I've ever seen. It has running machines, bikes, a bench with dumbbells (as high as !!50lbs!!), it has several machines, a dip station, multiple yoga balls, an ab wheel, and something I've never seen before at a hotel, a cable machine! I got a great work out here while traveling.

If I ever stay in Manhattan again I will stay here for sure.

Friendly. Efficient. Not in the fray of downtown and midtown. Clean. fairly easy access to subways. The new Q train is a lifefsaver for hitting up the major spots through the city and its couple blocks away. Convenient place. And not horrible if you have a car.

Directly after arriving, the valet told us that he "could" valet the car but there was a spot across the street we could use. The spot was too small but he argued with us for a good few minutes. Then, we get to the room and the AC didn't work very well. It was considerably hotter in the room than it should have been. Even after several hours. The shower was not as clean as it could have been. Then, at checkout, to get your car - you have to text a number and wait 45 minutes. However, when you text, they do not confirm they got it. So you spend 15 minutes talking to everyone just to be told the only option is to text the number and wait. Honestly, I would never stay there again.

Room is very clean and spacious by NY standards. One of the newer hotels in NY that's I've been in. Lots of good restaurants nearby and in walking distance to 96th St station exit. In a quiet neighborhood area and next to ASPCA so the perks of seeing less of dogs being walked around in the area.

Great price and great location. I stay here bc I used to live in the neighborhood but it's great for staying in a neighborhood where you'll have restaurants and bars all around and to be out of the touristy areas. Subways are super convenient too.

9

We love this hotel. It is our " go to" place to stay when we come to NY. First, it's right off the JFK, so getting here and leaving is easy. Second, the room rates in NYC are reasonable but the daily parking is outrageous... Sometimes > $100/dy! But literally 50 yards down the street on the left is a private indoor parking lot with cheap rates.

The hotel itself is very nice, with all the amenities, air conditioned, clean, nice rooms, etc. NY is notorious for tiny rooms but this place has average sized rooms.

Even better news, now that the city has finished the Q, you can take that train to anywhere in the city... All the way to Coney Island if you want.

I'm almost regretting with this because: supply/demand.

Location means a lot. This place was convenient for my parents as we were visiting family. However, NYC is and will always be overrated. I, personally love where I was born so I won't knock too hard on it. The hotel itself was clean, staff was above and beyond their customer service expectation, valet was exceptional. The room was small, but it's expected in NY. It was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I ever come back to my old stomping grounds. Trust me, I've stayed at many hotels and have years of experience. I believe taxes should be curbed a bit, but it's not the hotel's fault.

Refrigerator is in a bad place, it doesn't get any cool air to it so we had to leave the cabinet door open. The a/c barely works. They claim to have a pool but don't. But overall satisfied with the place it is very clean. Front desk does a good job

8

The rooms were clean. The AC was functional. I looked that the doors were locked after a very time. Of course it is needed because it is right next to the projects. Since there is quite a bit of parking nearby, I did not have to get parking in a lot, but the need to wake up early every day to move my car is not fun. They had morning coffee which is free but there is a line and it looked like at times uninvited guests would help themselves. One of my biggest complaints is wifi, and this hotel disappoints. It is not very good and when it finally does connect, there is some spottyness. There is a need to sign in daily which is inconvenient.

Superior Experience!!

The staff was amazing! Whoever the guy is that works the late night shift (from 6/1/17 - 6/5/17) took excellent care of us. I never got his name, but he did the most excellent job in providing service to us with zero hassle.

Florence took the utmost care of us with her cleaning. She is by far one of the best humans I've had the pleasure of working with and did a great job cleaning our rooms with a smile always on her face :) .

I will definitely stay here again! Thanks again very, very much!

I only visited the lobby in this trip. It was clean and quiet. There were some interesting magazines outlining interesting things to do in the city. There is also a small snack corner if you need that sort of thing. The hotel is very convenient to the new subway station at 96th Street on the Q line.

If you want to be across the street from Madison Square Garden, Macy's or Penn Station, this is a great option. Make sure to request a refurbished room. They are quite comfortable, albeit some are oddly shaped, because it's an older building. We had a view of the Garden, and it was great. The bathrooms are very small.

The location is ok, not really too close to many of the things people come to NYC for as tourists. I came for work and it was close to where I needed to be so it was fine. Close to a subway line. Lots of restaurants and a DuaneReade and Starbucks nearby. The property itself in my opinion is sub-par for a Courtyard Marriott property. Amenities are minimal and the rooms are just big enough. The walls are paper thin, didn't get much sleep the last night there due to the kids next door.

The location is very convenient if the purpose of your visit involves the UES, or if you want to stay in Manhattan while having an easy drive to Bronx, Queens or Brooklyn. It's also a great location if you want to be able to explore the city, but stay in a relatively quiet neighborhood. Moreover, the rates are very affordable for NYC. My company (based in the Bronx) recommends that our visitors stay here because it's a convenient location and affordable. However, there isn't much in the way of food or drinks in the hotel, so guests (even if they're in town for business and busy) have to be comfortable exploring the neighborhood a bit. (The hotel has a pamphlet with local food recommendations.) Given that we recommended that our business guests stay here, our biggest criticism is the lack of a legitimate business center and workspace. The hotel's "business center" basically consists of 2 computers in the lobby. While I haven't stayed in the hotel overnight, myself, the rooms were what you would expect from a Courtyard Marriott -- clean and no frills, but gets the job done.

Stayed at this location for about a week and was very impressed. It was clean, well maintained and staffed, nice lobby, bar, Wi-Fi, and other amenities. Great view from our room as well with a large window. We didn't utilize the parking but it is offered for a fee. Safe, nice area of town with places and Metro within short walking distance.

I have been here for the past two days with my family and wanted to share my experience while staying here, which is typical of Marriott Courtyards, a great value for money hotel indeed while holidaying with small family in Manhattan New York. Rooms are Japanese styled (masterly usage of every nook and corner of the available space), with superb WIFI, sparkling clean toilets being maintained by an ever smiling and efficient house keeping staff. Aircon is surprisingly perfect and room is always filled with likeable fragrance. Staff at the reception is very courteous, always greeting you with a pleasing smile and a great New Yoker accent. Complimentary breakfast is an annoying miss but one can enjoy affordable Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, and several other types of breakfast delicacies in the neighbourhood food joints. Never ever miss to visit LL to avail Sauna, Gym and cold and hot water for free but carry your key along with you to open all the doors of those facilities. Cabs are readily available 24x7, Subway metro station is few minutes walking distance from here and buses are freely available during daytime. I will strongly recommend this facility for all kind of travellers from across the world.

Strange location for a hotel bit just like all courtyard Marriott hotels, this one was clean and polished. Staff were very courteous. My room was small but very cozy and a smart use of space. I had a king bed, though I had no view. that was likely due to the low floor. it was pretty noisy with the window open but that is to be expected for Manhattan, even on the upper east side. with the windows closed, the room was as quiet as can be. I'm not sure whether there was breakfast served as I popped into a deli, but I'm sure it was probably decent. I also stayed for a conference at the hotel and the room was very accommodating. the location of the hotel is a bit far from the subway, but nothing you can't walk to. overall I was very happy with my stay. the prices here, by the way, were not cheap. I was pleased to have such a pleasant stay and nice quarters given he high pricing. also, the shower water pressure was excellent. there was also a nice gym.

Stayed here last year, but after seeing negative reviews, I wanted to post the contrary. I usually stay in the Midtown location, but opted to stay at the this one. The staff was spectacular, the room was immaculate, and the location was stellar. A little walk to the subway isn't a problem when you're saving money by staying at this location. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys Courtyard's like I do to try this one if you're in NYC.

The rooms were in great condition, very clean and well kept. The location is fantastic as there is a ton of local food joints nearby. There's also a local cafe and at least two Starbucks within two blocks. If that isn't enough the hotel provides coffee during morning hours (stops at 11am). The staff was super helpful and friendly. The area also appears to be super dog friendly as it's located next to the ASPCA.

I read the other reviews; they have no idea what a bad motel stay is by their petty complaints. Excellent place to stay. Most comfortable rest I had on a long road trip.
