Visited here in February for two nights and the staff were amazing and very friendly. Location cannot be beat as it is in the middle of Times Square with amazing views of the city. Two free alcoholic drinks from the bar are included with your stay (the wine I wanted was almost $18 so this is a very good value) and gratuity is included for the bar staff. Room was clean and quiet and the windows could be opened to let a breeze in if needed. Would highly recommend!

Anybody new in New York, this is the place to stay. No need for rent a car if you want to do shopping. Located right in the middle of times square. All theaters are walking distance . Ambassador theater right across the street. Fifth avenue main shopping street 10 minutes walk. NBC studio 5minutes away. Wake up early to be on TV for the Today show also walking distance.Pretty safe, because you always around police and crowded people. We stayed till 2am and no fear. The hotel is fantastic and real deluxe, breakfast is excellent. Room and bed is luxurious. Famous restaurant right next door. Olive garden, Fridays and more. Highly recommended for family vacation, or business.

I love this place. I felt like my family and I were underdressed but we were treated with as much respect as anyone else. The room had great views as did the hallways. The carpet was fabulous as were the beds. I slept like a baby. The breakfast buffet was to die for, it was the best breakfast I’ve had in my life. There was your usual staples, amazing fruit, and great juice. I’d go there again if I could afford it.

Lovely hotel located right in the centre of Manhattan. The food at breakfast isn’t that nice but the service is good. Manager in the bar (Karim I think?) was very unfriendly but the rest of the staff were lovely. Handy water bottle filling station next to the reception restrooms.

Rooms were great - the size was comfortable, beds, beds were large, recently refurbished so it’s modern, and has all your basic amenities. Only thing it doesn’t have is a mini fridge.

Selected a room on a high floor and the view is stunning, including being able to see the hustle and bustle of Times Square below.

Prices are reasonable for its location. Overall, it’s a good place for value.

This place is amazing! Me and my family went on a wonderful trip to New York as my mum is from Long Island, and this exceededmy expectations by miles. It was in an incredible location with great views, fantastic food and lovely people who are always happy to help. The person at the front desk helped us with our bags and went out of her way to make sure we were pleased. The only thing that was disappointed is we asked for a trundle bed to be put out whilst we were out for a couple hours, but when we got back they weren’t there and we had to call. Other then that, a great stay.

I stayed at this hotel for a family trip my fiancé and I had. The customer service was beyond my expectations. I expected it to be good but it was more than that. At check-in a fella named Isaac was extremely kind! He made sure that we were comfortable with our room being on the highest floor due to some people not being fond of heights. Explained where everything we needed in the hotel was thoroughly. Going that extra mile really made me feel welcomed and comfortable.

The room was beautiful and very clean, I didn’t have anything to complain about considering that I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in a few hotels when traveling this is my top 5 favorite!

The food at breakfast was amazing! During check out we also had a lovely encounter with a wonderful woman by the name of Victoria! She also made sure we enjoyed our stay and made great conversation. It’s all about a warm welcome and a fond farewell they provided just that.

Thank you again so much for being so accommodating!

Spacious bright rooms with large windows. Immaculate and clean throughout. Veiws of the Hudson River from the room a bonus. Efficient friendly front of house staff. Not a huge menu but the food is very well done. Excellent wheelchair access. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel being located in times.square is extremely busy. Nonetheless the attention to detail given and the level of customer service is amazingly outstanding. The prices were a little high for the drinks as my rum and coke was 14.00 but overall an amazing g experience

I thought my stay at the hotel was awesome. They upgraded my room to one with a view of Times Square and it did not disappoint. Also, the layout of the room was very interesting. It was also very modern and updated, with interesting decor. My biggest issue with it is it's a pain to get from the street level up to your floor if you have a stroller or wheelchair. You have to shuffle between elevators.

It's a bed in Times Square. Nothing fancy. No frills, and close enough to my NYC office to be convenient. If I was a looking for a place to stay with the family for some big sightseeing expedition to NYC this place would do just fine. Romantic weekend with the wife alone? Not so much

Really nice hotel. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Quiet room. TV has nice selection of channels. Right in the heart of the theater district, in fact Chicago is playing right across the street. Walking distance to Times Square and so much more. There's a coffee/pastry bar in the hotel along with a nice breakfast buffet that offers a full hot buffet as will as a less expensive cold buffet option. I chose the cold option and was very pleased with a toasted bagel, cream cheese, cucumber and smoked salmon, pineapple and melon, cheese, a chocolate croissant, fruit juice and coffee. The concierge was helpful and check in quick and painless.
I did ding tht Crown Plaza one star because they actually CHARGE guests to use the computers in the business center. What?!?! Also I've seen business centers better stocked with notepaper, pens, staplers etc but other than that, I really enjoyed my stay..

This is a nicely located hotel with friendly and effective staff. The room seemed cleaner than the average hotel room... I can't give it 5 stars because I waited in line for 30 minutes just to check in and I only could get (ice) cold water out of the shower. I'm giving them the benefit of a doubt that these were one off situations so I didn't dock another star.
While I could hear sirens at times at night, the hotel itself was dead quiet. The heating and cooling system allowed the fan to run all night - white noise is a deal breaker for me.

Fantastic location right next to Times Square. In hotel valet parking was a better deal than I expected and comparable to other garage rates in the area. The food was very good. An in room fridge would have been nice. The hotel and food was pricey but not bad considering the location. The buffet breakfast wasn't great for the price but everything else was good.

The room is decent and roomy. I was disappointed in the cleanliness, seeing hair on the ceiling in the shower room and some sort of liquid residue on the wall near the door entrance. Daily service is supposed to provide 2 bottles of water daily and I haven't received even 1 by my 3rd day. Location 8s great.

First time here and not impressed at all. First impressions are very important and as soon as we pulled up got ignored by the valet. He told the car behind us to pull up and took care of them. I had to actually get out of my car and go up to someone. He looked at us like what were we doing here. Rooms are extremely small no fridge no microwave. Shocking for such a supposively high end hotel in NYC. The staff as we entered the hotel were surprising nice which after the valet experience I was not expecting this to be an enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet was probably the best thing about the entire stay. The icing on the cake was spending $500 for one night and being told we could not take a picture of our children in the “private pool”. (Yet we are members). Will most likely not recommend this hotel to anyone

Beautiful and comfortable hotel. I want to to give it five stars, but the shower was a bit clogged up. Great views and the rooms were just as displayed. I would definitely stay again. It's where everyone would want to be if they were on vacation.

Very well located, not very pleasant. If you just want a den to sleep you get this hotel, if you are looking for something more I would advise don't go there. The staff are busy all the time, they treat you the same way you should expect McDonald's help. The Breakfast does not worth $6 Dollars besides you pay $25 per person. Parking is not included besides they make you feel it is, $70 parking for you to add to the price plus $35 Dollars per room per day of service fee. Be aware.

Location is great - minutes from Time Square.
The hidden nightly service fee of about $30US is horrible (their excuse is you can use their gym, makes calls with their phone and have 2 free drink tickets... Really? I don't want any of those... How about you let me keep the $30 a night instead?). The walls are paper thin, so when your neighbor use their washroom it sounds like they're using yours because the walls are so thin. If you have noisy neighbors - good luck. If you're the noisy neighbor... Then be aware that everyone else can hear what you're saying...so you might as well just be considerate of others and keep it to a whisper

Location is perfect. Right on Broadway. Minute walk from Chicago theater, Caroline's, Juniors restaurant & cheesecakes (BEST cheesecake ever!! Try apple crumb) City view is amazing!!! Downside, indoor pool is a lap pool. You have to wear swimming caps & be ready for the pool to be in use by pro swimmers doing laps. Not a leisure type pool. No microwave or fridge in the City view King bed rooms. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable!! Clean everything!! Staff was awesome, from check in, housekeeping, elevator help, to check out. It was worth every penny!!!

This was a great Hotel enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast. I purchased a voucher for the breakfast when I made the reservations so it was much cheaper then paying for the breakfast individually. So ask when you make your reservation if there's any vouchers available for buffet breakfast. Nice hotel, good staff a lot of restaurants and bar inside. Bed was very comfortable, room was very nice also clean. 5 stars!

Really nice hotel in the heart of Times Square and the Broadway distinct. Can't beat the location if you're going to a show (or two)... otherwise, I don't like staying in the area. Anyway, very nice clean hotel with great views and very quiet given the location... except if the other side of the bed, there are the service elevators! Called down to the front desk and got a new room in minutes. They even sent a bellhop up to the room with the new keys and a luggage cart to move our things. They also know how to treat their Platinum customers with free or discounted breakfast and a free drink in the bar! Very, very nice.

Not the best experience at the Crowne Plaza for the money. The lounge staff rude, especially Jasmine the waitress and her manager. The front desk staff very nice and the rooms were nice. The shower head is fantastic and the housekeeping was great! I will come back and edit this post when I find where I wrote down the rude manager's name. He forgot customer service rule #1: The customer is always right!

This hotel has excellent customer service. The room was decent, beds comfortable, nice shower. This is The second time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel. This year we brought some friends. Everything was as expected. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nice.

The room was very cold for our entire stay. We did report it to the front desk and they sent someone up immediately which was good but they didn’t manage to solve the problem.

The only slight criticism is that they need bigger towels in the bathroom.

Apart from those minor points the stay was good and the hotel was clean and would stay again.

Concierge is difficult to locate! Staff could be more friendly. Else, this is a typical 4-star New York City hotel. Won't go wrong booking a night or two here. For economy travellers though there are better and cheaper places available in New York City...

We visited the Crown Plaza Times Square for the weekend. The trip was fantastic.

The stay started with a complimentary upgrade to a corner room with a great view of the city. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

If we make it back the New York City, I'm certain that we'd stay at the Crown Plaza again. Thanks for helping to make our trip so enjoyable!

Employees here were amazing! Great service. Room was clean and our maid even tidied up every day for us. My only negative is that we could not turn the air on. Room was way too warm. They opened the window for us, but it never got below 73 degrees in the room. That is too warm for sleeping!! My daughter and I are both sick as we return home because of this. We were told that heat was the only option since the hotel was running heat. Never had this issue at a hotel before. Must be an NYC thing because all the shops were super hot too. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving.

Booking was easy, room was clean. Not ALL the elevators go to all floors, and no signs are posted- that was a little confusing. Wish they had more people willing to grab you cabs outside, but we waited patiently and were helped.

The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating BuT the room is bad. There are food crumbs all over the floor. There are hairs in the bathroom. I just checked in. After asking 2 times for a thorough vacuuming and getting nowhere I approached the front desk. They were so apologetic and I was happy with their response but the fact remains that the rooms need to be maintained better. Wall paper is peeling off, there are stains on the sink and dirt on the doors and walls. I feel like it’s unfair to the guests to not keep the rooms up.

Located by times square, you might get lucky and get a times square view room! We initially had issues with our room, but after some communication with managers, they were all resolved to my satisfaction. Fridge not in rooms by default, something to keep in mind if it's a must for you. Generally speaking, staff are pleasant enough.

Hotel is in a great location. Staff really friendly. We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. Not once our bed sheets were changed although we asked to be changed twice. We could tell with a pen stain on our sheets. Hotel charges a service fee for the pool and gym $30 US a day. The pool looks like a dirty bath and we didn't use the gym once. So becarful when booking and ask if any extra fees.

Been here multiple times. It is a consistent hotel...rooms good size. Whilst rooms need a bit of an update, they are more than adequate and comfortable. Good facilities in the hotel, and so proximate to times square. Wifi setup which ia free, is a bit annoying but then works reliably without needing to reconnect each day. Useful coffee shop available by the elevators and opens early each morning

Outstanding service led by MD Niles Harris makes this my home away from home. This has become my main hotel when travelling on business or pleasure with its awesome location in Times Square with access to Broadway, restaurants etc, facilities (including access to Sports Club gym , a great bar and restaurant and friendly and courteous staff who now know my family and I because we stay so frequently. The spirit of service comes from the top and its not unusual to see MD Harris come out and meet his guests. Of course it helps that I am an Elite Priority. My most recent stay was awesome and the Hotel makes it a point to recognize repeat guests. i have stayed at the Sheraton (both), Marriott, Hilton and while they too are good properties, the Crowne Plaza is extra special. I will be visiting again the end of the month to meet up with relatives and celebrate our Anniversary. The picture below is my brother and I at the Lobby Bar.

The entire staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Only downside was the cost of parking, I paid over $200 for three nights however it was extremely convenient. Better than driving around Manhattan for hours looking for a parking spot 2 miles away from my hotel. Next time I want drive I'll fly to NYC.

Nice hotel, always clean, good location if you want to be right in Time Square, but the house keeping staff is more friendly and professional than the front desk staff. There is nice way to say everything you want to say sometimes it just takes a tad more effort. When you work at the front desk of an expensive hotel you better put in that extra effort. Not all of the staff are rude but I have encountered more than one.

Your experience at this property is predicated on three things: guest service, in-room experience, and because of the location: views from the room.
Guest Service has room to improve. Check-in experience was barely ok, the staff did not seem to care enough.
In-Room experience was good. Spacious layout. Clean amenities. Bathroom could be designed better. And... the views are important given the location of the property.
View from the Room: We stayed in two different rooms, the first one had the view of the Hudson in between several other Manhattenesque buildings - not the one we were expecting. After a lot of request and calls, we were moved to another room that had the view of Times Square (see pics).
Would I stay here again? Only on the assurance that I get the room with the view that matters.

Booked and stayed here with my wife on New Year Eve with hope we could see the ball drop without long wait. However, it wasn't turned out as we planed. We did received priority access to near by time square even we arrived late around 8pm since the hotel is right next to the ball drop. The hotel had their own count down in door/ rooftop party which cost a lot $$$$ if you didn't book a head of time. Also they were selling access to stay in the front of their door to see the ball drop too. It is not FREE to stand there even you have a room. If you want a great view of the ball drop then you need to leave the hotel early and join the public group on the street.

I've been here twice. It's always a pleasant experience. Clean and well kept rooms and bathrooms. My only complaint would be that certain elevators only go to certain floors so its easier to get lost trying to find your room than you might think. However, there is usually someone from the hotel nearby to help you.

Great Hospitality and Service. The hotel staff (Donald M and Juliet) ensured we had everything for our stay and helped us have a great stay. The building interiors itself can do with a bit of a facelift, but staying right in the middle of Times Square, this was very convenient.

Had a great stay a few weeks ago. For being right in Times Square, the room was surprisingly quiet. We were next to laundry service, so it smelled amazing in the hall! The rooms were clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view of the city and water. We could watch boats going in and out all day (if we weren't busy catching all the other sights and sounds of Manhattan). We will definitely stay here again.

Lived up to expectations. Way way way overpriced, but that's to be expected in this area Two double bed room was good size for Manhattan. Free in-room Lavazza single serve coffee was nice. Bathroom is nothing special with smallish counter and tub/shower combo. Location was great with easy access to two subway lines, Times Square, restaurants and convenience stores. Pretty pleased on the whole.

Location was great and the rooms had wonderful beds to sleep in. People in room adjoining could be heard all night due to large gap in between floor and room door. Breakfast meal in lobby was overly expensive without the coupon for the quality of the food. But I would recommend this for stay. 70.00 a night parking fee is a bit high.

We ate in the restaurant, so this review is for the restaurant and not the whole hotel. The prices were high, but understandable since it overlooks part of times square and is a very high end hotel. Good location, hotel itself was underwhelming. Front desk was unmanned when we arrived. Took a few minutes for someone to come out. When he did, he seemed irritated because there were several other people in line as well. Very unfriendly. Doormen saw us pulling bags out of a taxi when we arrived and saw us putting them in a taxi when we left. Was surprised they did not offer to assist either time. Room was small and bed was a pullout couch (literally). Walls are PAPER THIN. We woke up to our neighbors talking (not loudly, just in a normal volume). It sounded like they were inside our room. I actually looked to see of someone was. Location is definitely the best part of this hotel.

Clean new towels, Power-shower!! (we loved that). Since my parents celebrated their wedding-anniversary here, we were upgraded to a corner room with a spectacular Times Square view. Don't worry about Big-city noise. you will not hear it.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of Champagne in our room for the celebration. Sweet! Big hotel, but personal touch. We will definitely come back! Thanks Crowne Plaza!

Nice central location to everything. 3301 had good views of times square. A lot of people wandering around outside made it difficult at times to get in to the hotel entrance. Annoying bus tour sellers outside. Hotel staff were attentive and friendly. Rooms need a bit of a refurbishment. Overall a good sta.

Varied experience, sitting in the hotel lobby writing this review. The hotel itself is ideally located for Times Square, which in itself its its major plus, but also I think one of its biggest hinderances.

Having waited for months to visit New York for my wife's 40th Birthday, the experience has been varied, the hotel has provided excellent sanctuary from the constant 90 plus degree heat. The rooms, simply furnished with a superb view of the hustle and bustle below.

Unfortunately for three nights running, sleep was interrupted by a group of people arriving from the local nightlife worse for wear (This really is the city that doesn't sleep apparently) This cannot be blamed on the hotel themselves, but has to be a consideration if you are wishing to stay local. . Two complaints which involved security later and it didn't really feel like this was something the hotel could do something about but you still have got to consider the payoff of picking a lively hotel versus one that is somewhere else less likely to have that inconvenience.

Apart from this, the constant bus ticket hawkers outside the entrance to the hotel and a couple of encounters of barmen forgetting how to add up correctly and short changing ("Sorry, I've been away a while and things have changed") ...what .. Like arithmetic?? Hmmm. Then having a feeling that we are being pushed away once the sale has been made.

Everything else has been superb. We didn't choose the breakfast option, so can't comment there. Air con worked, lifts great, bar (apart from the above experience, OK) Location, superb. Just watch out for the Black Homeless collectors, who when you refuse, call you Racist......

Great Hotel.

Loved our stay. Beautiful view, as promised of Times Square from the 35th floor, bit of a delay on check-in, but it was a holiday weekend, and a friday. So an hour later than our room should've been ready was no big deal. Housekeeping was great, along with the valet parking & luggage check in. Overall very thrilled with our experience!

The rooms were clean, but the bathroom had some rust from aging. The sheets were also clean. Great view. I wish they had complimentary breakfast even if it was just something tiny like fruit.

Very pretty lobby and very comfortable.

The CPTS location is very convenient for theaters and restaurants. The room was very clean and the decor is modern. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location in heart of Times Square was convenient but a little busy/touristy for my taste. Service, rooms, amenities were great... Free gym and I even got a lap swim in.

Comfortable rooms amid spacious halls in one of those hidden but deceptively gargantuan Manhattan facilities housing a happening dining/bar facility with on-site access to a full-service health club, replete with swimming pool, with request- and (for the latter) surcharge-only availability to such amenities as in-room refrigerator and microwave. Overall, an exceptional stay at - given the location - reasonable price.

A bit disappointed.
I was expecting a bit more but maybe my European standards are too high.
The room is clean, no doubt.
Check-in took forever, Concierge not available up to 8AM.
Breakie really overpriced!
The location makes it to "average"
