This hotel is completely what you would expect and more. The hotel is clean and modern, it's right by a train station, and the rooms are large and comfortable. It has a great location in a beautiful town not too far from downtown DC. My only complaint would be that some of the employees couldn't speak English that well. But I still give the hotel five stars because I could tell they tried really hard to speak fluent English and this one man, (I think his name was Marty or something but I forgot) came up to me and my family during breakfast and very kindly said: "If you need anything, run it by me," It was a lovely gesture and made us feel very welcome. If the owner is reading this, please give that man a raise!

Never pass up an opportunity to stay at the Embassy Suites. It is just that a hotel full of Suites. Our room was spacious and equipped with all the basic amenities. We were quite comfortable and enjoyed it very much. Not to mention the inside of the hotel is beautiful. The plants were beautiful and very well maintained. The bartender did a great job during the complimentary happy hour and the service desk was very helpful and friendly . The complimentary breakfast was the best I've ever had . We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Very nice staff. Clean and spacious suites.
Check- in was easy and staff were wonderful with getting rooms. The valets were so helpful and offered to show me how to get to the parking. The parking was located under the building. I was surprised that it was nice, about 50°F when the temperatures outside were cold 20°F. Car was able to warm quickly.
The only average thing, was the breakfast. Compared to other Embassy Suites this breakfast lacked a better quality of food items and offered less items on the self serve part.
The "made to order" section did not get my order correct the first time but when I noticed, they quickly remade the order. I ordered the veggies and bacon without eggs.... they made it with eggs but fixed it when brought to their attention.
Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Rooms were clean and appearance was inviting and fresh.
I would have given 4.5 stars but the other areas besides breakfast pushed it closer to 5 stars.

Had customer service issues that were satisfactory addressed by management. Hotel was well kept and convenient to King Street Trolley. Breakfast was good with abundant choices. On site restaurant was outstanding. Fair prices and huge portions. Had the opportunity to stay at hotel again for Valentine's Day with my wife. Totally amazing experience. From the front desk, breakfast staff, bell hop staff to housekeeping every attention to detail was exceeded. Can't wait to return.

Always enjoy my stays at Embassy Suites! The made-to-order breakfast, comfy beds, 2-room suite and the hospitality! The only gripe for this location would be the maze to make it to the gym and pool. Once you make it to the gym it had a nice selection of equipment! Other than that my stay is/was most enjoyable! Best hotel in the area!!

Love this hotel - the most memorable stay

I really needed a getaway from my baby, so I booked a one night stay at this hotel at the last minute. I had certain needs, so sent the hotel an email. The hotel GM (Mary Ann) went above and beyond to ensure that my stay would be as comfortable as possible. She even looked for me when I checked in and invited me into her office as we waited for my room to be ready. I had the most relaxing stay. Although this hotel is not as luxurious as many of the ones I had stayed, I think it’s definitely one of my favorite and most memorable.

The hotel is very convenient located. Right next to the King St Metro and practically next door to Wholefood (very nice). Perfect location to explore Old Town and the Carlyle area

They offer complimentary manager reception (drinks and snacks) each evening and also complimentary made-to order breakfast, which is great for business traveler as well as families. The room is quite comfortable, I like that there is a door that separates the bedroom from the “living room”, so you can have visitors, but its not too intruding of your privacy. There is a nice sized fridge and microwave.

A cool feature that this hotel offers is the ability to text your requests via your cell phone. I was able to request extra towels, mugs, etc and ask questions without having to call.

I used the King Street Parking garage next to the hotel.

Hotel is beautiful and the location is awesome! Near a metro stop and just a short walk to King St. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, with all sorts of options for everyone! Parking was a little tight in the garage, but that's expected with a downtown location, so we made it work. Would return, highly recommend!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to the metro which is directly across the street. Parking was a little tricky because you have to have a room key before you get into the parking garage, but the space at the hotel to unload luggage and check in is tiny. The free breakfast was wonderful, and the happy hour was as well.

Air conditioning in room didn't work it was so hot. Maintenance looked at it twice during our 5 night stay still didn't help the room remained hot. We were able to get a fan but when asked for a second fan was told they don't have fans. The water in the tub was constantly leaking. The bathroom could have been cleaner however the rooms were fine. The pool was very crowded and only like 5 chairs for sitting. Also the pool floor is very very slippery - I witnessed a several older kids who were not even running fall straight on their backs (thank goodness they were alright). Keys kept deactivating. Also good luck getting the front desk to answer their phone. All the breakfast staff was very friendly. It great to see a lifeguard at the pool.

Excellent customer service from the accommodating staff at this Embassy Suites. Located directly across the street from the King Street Metro Station, two stops from Reagan National Airport on the yellow or blue line. Easy access to shops and restaurants on King Street via the free King Street trolley. Cooked to order breakfast included omelettes, eggs cooked to your preference, pancakes, bacon, and more. Other breakfast options served buffet-style included scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, hash, fresh fruit, yogurt, hot oatmeal, grits, and delicious hot coffee. Other amenities include pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Restaurant and bar on site. Large indoor Courtyard. Whole Foods grocery store is within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay. Ideal location for families visiting the DC area with Metro station and King St Trolley stop right across the street. Breakfast good, although not quite the variety as other Embassies we have stayed at. Room service was impeccable. Staff and front desk extremely helpful. Pool and hot tub small. Overall great experience here and would recommend.

Okay so I confused this hotel with another one SUE ME GOOGLE anyway this hotel is pretty good not gonna lie to you man my room definitely had a bed and a television and also windows and the other things rooms usually have. It wasn't a five star experience or anything but I don't think it was a five star hotel. That's why I'm giving it a five star rating. It's a five star four star experience. Great work keep it up.

Comfortable, spacious, clean rooms. The pool is one of the few indoor pools in the area, but it is in a windowless, small room. I would choose it in winter for the kids to swim, but in summer I'd try another hotel if a nice pool area is priority. Breakfast is complimentary and extensive, highly recommend. This hotel also has a two hour complimentary cocktail and snack time each evening. There is no concierge service and the front desk staff was minimally helpful in this area, but they we're pleasant, perhaps just ill prepared to deal with these types of questions.

Wonderful caring staff who take pride in being independent and making guest stays pleasant. For exple my toilet stopped working after the first use. I simply left a note for the person who was responsible for cleaning my room. I purposely didn't call the front desk or maintenance. When I returned later, the room was beautiful and she left me a note thanking me for alerting her about the issue. She also noticed that I'd swiped a bunch of coffee pods, so she left me a handful and a lot of extra creams. I loved my stay

The location is very convenient for getting to the Metro, as it is just across the street. There are many good restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast was one of the best as far as quality and variety go. The room had a few kinks. The bathroom was leaking a little bit of water when we arrived, but did not appear to leak anymore on our stay. The TV remote was not working for some reason, so the TV did not work very well. Overall, a good stay with a few minor complaints. Would recommend this location though

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and nice grounds around hotel. Food was very good. Parking could be improved; parking garage spaces are for the smallest of compact cars making it a challenge to park a full size car or SUV.

Great Hotel with awesome staff. The room was cleaned well every day, and breakfast was delicious. Nice variety at manager's reception too. Also, they have an iced coffee option in the coffee machine at breakfast. I dont know why every hotel doesn't have that.

Great location for leisure and buisness travelers alike. Convenient access to the metro, King St, whole foods and a 7/11 as well as many places to eat. Large two room suites are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is a bit small. Restaurant is ok, free drinks nightly is always a embassy suites plus. Breakfast is great, but can be crowded depending on the time of morning. Seems like the made to order line is two small for a hotel this large.

The hotel was fantastic. Amazing location being in the middle of old town Alexandria and right next to a metro/bus station. There are local historic sites that are within walking distance, or if you are feeling good a light morning jog, and there are a few routes you can use to getting DC. If I were to stay in DC again, this is a location I will check first.

The hotel is clean, fresh, and modern. The location is perfect as it's outside of D.C. and the Blue subway line is literally across the street!! Rooms are your standard suites which is a great thing! The Managers Reception is stellar as you are offered free drinks with a rotation of free snacks to go with it. The free breakfast is best in class as you can also have eggs made to order. The perfect hotel in the perfect spot!!!

The room was pretty big. I had the king sized bed also a great view from where I was. The fitness area was better then i expected. With treadmills and a little free weights. Everything was great only down flaw wish breakfast was a little earlier on the weekend. I had to leave early and could not enjoy it.

Breakfast outstanding. We'll appointed suites. This ES has an atrium and it is noisy during the evening social and breakfast, but there are some rooms off the atrium if sensitive to noise. Across the street from the metro. Plenty of places to eat nearby as well as a Whole Foods Market a block away.

Great hotel. Very nice from inside. Dining area looks fabulous. Staff was very nice. They have happy hours as all embassy suites from 5-7 pm or so. There was some repairs around and noise at early morning which was inconvenient and could be done instead during afternoon or evening when everybody is out !

Stayed for 2 nights and was very happy with our stay. Free breakfast included made to order omelettes and a wide variety of other choices. The king Street metro station is literally right across the street, very convenient for getting into DC.

Probably a nice hotel when it's not being renovated. However the construction sounds made during the day while my son was trying to take a nap made this a place I will probably not come back to. The made-to-order breakfast was decent but nothing fancy. The free open bar in the evenings was probably the best thing going about this hotel.

Rooms are okay, the free happy hour is appreciated! It's undergoing some renovations so it's a bit loud. The entire hotel is cold no matter the settings in the room. Catered food is okay nothing to rave about though.

We have stayed here multiple times and have never been disappointed. The customer service is outstanding! They have free alcoholic drinks in the lobby every night, the breakfast is very good, they have keurigs in the rooms for coffee, and the cleaning staff does a great job. No one bothers you when you put up the do not disturb sign either. My only complaint would be the parking garage, as the spots are very small and the overall layout is confusing and its not very secure. The last time we were here we had an incident in the parking garage with a sketchy guy, so it would be nice if the parking garage had better security. We used their dry cleaning service as well and my husband's shirt came back with 2 giant rips in the sleeves. When he brought it to the front desk they were very polite and apologetic and offered to replace the shirt, so that was handled very well. And its right across the street from the 1st stop of the King st. trolley. The gym is also pretty nice for a hotel gym and they have an indoor pool and hot tub. We also really like the spacious room layout. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in Alexandria.

My new favorite DC area hotel. The suites have a door between the bedroom and the living room; the wifi is reasonably fast; and the combination made-to-order/buffet breakfast is great. So is happy hour. If only the parking were included.

Our family has stayed here many times. It's great to be so close to the metro / trolley. Many rooms are currently undergoing renovation, so there was a lot of construction going on. Also the breakfast area has been reconfigured since our last visit, so it was a bit difficult to figure out the updated traffic flow (a 'do not enter' sorry of sign was up where the juice and fruit are located, so my son couldn't find it). Otherwise we like this hotel and plan to return in the future.

This hotel is wonderful for both business and pleasure traveling. It is starting to show it's age but as of 11/17 renovations to rooms are being made. The staff is great. They are very friendly and will help in anyway they can. Housekeeping does a very good job as well. The location can't be beat. Across the street is the King Street Metro. It services the DC metro area. You can get to the top tourist and government buildings in less than 45 min. As across the street is the FREE King Street Trolley. This makes many stops up and down King Street. Easy on/off to all of Old Town including shops, restaurants and historical attractions. It also provides access to the waterfront where you can catch a water taxi to the national harbor and the new MGM. For those planning meetings this location allows spouses and families many daytime activies. The rates are reasonable and like all Embassy suites hotels, it had a fantastic breakfast and a manager's reception 7 days a week. This is my favorite place to stay in the DC metro area.

Not the best. Not horrible. My room was given away although I was booked at least a month in advance. Downgraded without notice and charged the same price. Had to complain after getting to room. Room key took three times to work (going down to desk) before we could get in. Clean 4/5. Cleaning service threw away somethings i needed. Complimentary drinks and breakfast were good. Go for omelets over regular eggs they put out which are wet/mushy.

From before we arrived the service was exemplary. On arrival although we had a wait a while to get checked in the eventual service we received was great. The front of house manager (a male whose name I cannot remember!) was so lovely and even extended his service to taking our bags up to our room due to the lack of bell boys!

The hotels aesthetics were beautiful.

The breakfast was average but as it was free that is not entirely surprising.

We stayed for a wedding and it was absolutely fantastic service. We cannot thank you enough.

The rooms were smaller than expected for a sweet but still a good size and the views were lovely.

Location was great as right across from the train station where you can catch the AMTRAK as well as other trains. You can also hitch a ride on the 'trolley' which is a free bus to the waterfront and back.

Definitely would stay again if in town.

New building right by the King St Metro Stop in Old Town Alexandria. Whole Foods is almost across the street. I had a lovely view of the Masonic Temple from my window. Large, modern rooms with microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker plus coffee and tea supplies. Happy hour with free drinks but not much to nibble on although the hummus and seed crackers were excellent. Best part of my stay was Anna, the breakfast cook who quickly made me a delicious omelette every morning and always offered me side items. She made the stay unforgettable.

The hotel location is perfect. The metro is across the street which can get you anywhere in DC. There are also a lot of good shops and restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel is beautiful inside with a large open atrium. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Make sure to show up to the bar at 1730 weeknights for a free happy hour. Two beers, three wines, and many house spirits are all free during this time.

Very nice! I enjoyed my stay.

Rooms were clean and had a modern style. I stayed in a one bedroom suite with a living room area.

- King size bed
- Desk with lamp
- Sofa bed
- Two TVs
- 4 chair dinning table with lamp
- Fridge
- Microwave
- Keurig Machine, but didn't get a chance to use it.

It seemed empty. Perhaps it's because I came at an off-season time (Early Sept).

Breakfast was soooo good. Chef who made breakfast was really nice and very welcoming. I had sausages, pancakes and Omelette with cheese, mushroom and Onions. They had a lot of other breakfast choices that I wasn't able to eat.

Receptionist was confusing. They didn't really explain much, I had to ask questions like "When do I pay? " or "How do I check out?" Which turns out I don't have to go to them to check out, they email it to me. How was I supposed to know this, all hotels are different.

Great hotel! Awesome breakfast with made to order eggs, bacon, french toast and even pancakes. Rooms were nice, beds were more than comfortable. Staff were very nice. Garage incredibly tight. Hotel charges $32 for parking per night while the same garage charges a maximum of $18 per 24 hr period (but no in/out privileges). Hotel conveniently located across the street from a transportation hub where you can catch the metro or bus or the free king st trolley to old town Alexandria's waterfront. The trolley runs every 15 minutes from 10am to 10pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends. Pool opens late at 10am so not able to get a morning swim before breakfast.

The hotel was nice and clean in a great location. The hotel bar area offered a great selection of drinks and the reception hour was a great event with different selections of snacks. The hotel staff was very attentive and the bar tender was very personable and made us laugh. My only bad Mark was in the parking garage. It says you can park there for 3 hours with a valet to Joe Theismens restaurant but that was not the case. We met up with our friends who stayed at the hotel for drinks at the bar before having dinner at Joe's. The parking charged us an additional $8.00 because we passed the 3 hours. Our ticker time stamp was 6:20pm and we left the parking garage at 9:00pm. The attendant wast not helpful and was like well you have to pay it and file a claim later. Well we are travelling and don't have time for that. False advertisement.

Great Location. Literally across the street from the Metro station (which is also a Trolley stop for the King St trolley). It's a few short blocks from King St (20 min walk to waterfront). It's hard to go wrong with Embassy Suites in general - especially when you're traveling with children - the rooms are large w/separate bedroom and living area, microwave, refrigerator, pool, great breakfast, and evening cocktail reception (kids even enjoy non-alcoholic beverages and snacks). We stay at this location several times a year for 2-3 day visits to Alexandria - they're super busy during the summer which slows down service a bit, but doesn't compromise the quality.

Liked the hotel. The rooms were nice, well furnished and clean. Bathroom is a little small for a suite. The layout of the hotel is a bit strange. But they have free snacks and drinks nightly which is a nice perk. Never got a chance to get any, but the offer is good. Free WiFi is a bonus

Location of the Hotel is great. Right next to the metro, trolley, and bus transit--within walking distance of plenty food and other stores. Room had a weird smell at first but pretty typical for hotel--the guest in the atrium can get pretty rowdy at night and possibly keep you up. walls are pretty thin too. the pool area was pretty small but servicable. breakfast was pretty decent too. overall a nice experience. can't complain

If you have kids and want to swim during the day, forget about it.. They have limited pool hours. Only open from 5pm to 10pm.. Breakfast was great and rooms were good.

Room is extremely clean, the staff was friendly except one who was a bit standoffish. Cleaning staff were helpful as I couldn't get my door open the first time. Parking has a parking garage fee of $32 per day. Hotel is a few steps from train, bus and trolley station. Breakfast has many options and complimentary happy hour is great.

Great location right next to the metro and in the heart of Old Towne. Good breakfast and happy hour. Standard suites. Parking lot has small spaces. Overall very nice.

Besides the guy at the front desk being worried about flirting than doing his job. And, the cook not understanding what a breakfast sandwich is. My overall experience was pretty good.

Good location directly across the street from the metro, nearby to the King Street Trolly too. Free breakfast and happy hour are a big plus! The pool and gym area is quite limited though.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful. I left some valuable items in my room safe by mistake. I called after I checked out and they boxed them up right away and fed-ex'd them to me. It was a huge relief. They were very professional and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Typical embassy suites! Which is amazing! Staff is friendly and very kind and always and I mean ALWAYS anticipates your needs! I always get a nice room with a great view! They do have Digital Key here as well and it works perfectly! Breakfast and evening reception are great and best of all.... FREE! Highly recommend.

Location was a little tight, but overall worked out wonderfully! The restaurant in the bottom of it was very fancy and the food was top notch. Happy Hour is awesome as always and all the workers were willing to help out with anything we required of them.

We stayed two nights during our annual mother daughter weekend. The hotel was convenient to sites of Alexandria, D.C. And National Harbor. We were able to visit an array of different areas and enjoy our time together.

Located directly across from a bus and metro station with limited on street parking, else $32 per day hotel parking. Good facilities, clean room, comfortable bed. Staff were scarce and the hotel somewhat noisy.

My family and I tend to stay together on holidays and vacations. We have made several stays in this hotel and spent the New Year's holiday here this year. Of all the locations we stay at hotels, this one is the most family friendly and offers the staff, amenities and access to local attractions, points of interest and history that make a vacation of a large, diverse group of families work. We made 2 parties and enjoyed ourselves very much.

This hotel was stellar in all aspects. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was always great and served with a smile.

The room was well maintained and cleaned.

I special thank you to Kal who mans their bar at night for being such a great host and person all around. He was on top of his job, friendly, and absolutely made my experience even better!

Nice hotel. Convenient location to DC via the metro which is across the street. Old Town has a free trolley to take you to the water front and the manager's evening reception includes a craft beer option. Can be louder on weekends with kids and families but that is normal for Embassy Suites

I stay here several times a year and I'm always impressed with the service. The rooms are great, and the location is spectacular. Now, they have the Hilton digital key. I had to delete my card stored on Apple Pay, but that's a software issue, not an issue with the hotel. My only complaint would be an overall lack of water pressure in the bathroom.

Best breakfast by far!! And the Happy Hour daily was a lovely surprise. The staff were all friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and spacious and come with a kitchenette. The only downside was the beds were not that comfortable; I've slept in better for much less.

Our stay was amazing. Check in was fast and friendly. Our two bedroom suite was huge w/a dining room. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Also the free drinks and snacks left in the room where a huge plus.

Cons: If I could give parking a star it would be a one star. We drive a large car and could not fit in a parking place in their underground garage, and I HAD to pay $30 to park. They said I could park on the street but it was full the whole weekend I was there.
I would definitely go again. But please take my warning the parking garage is tight and once you enter there is no turning around.

Awesome night sleep, topped with included full breakfast and cocktails at night. Pool and gym are so-so and hotel is aging, but overall my stay was very good.

Our service has been pretty good. A few minor inconveniences along the way, but nothing earth shattering. The parking garage is a bear to park in. The people are generally friendly. Breakfast is exceptional, but it will be busy so plan extra time for it! Overall pretty good place to stay. Very convenient access to King St. Metro Station, it's directly across the street.

I love this embassy suites! The rooms are great and everything is modern and current. Not sure how long it has been there but it feels brand new!! Plus it's only about 4 blocks from the US Patent and Trademark Office.

I'm a Diamond HHonors member and had booked a room at this Embassy Suites for a vacation. When my husband and I went to check in the man at the front desk ignored me. He addressed my husband like I wasn't there. Everytime I made a comment the man would look at my husband to confirm what I was saying before proceeding. The other HHonors members checking in all received the usual "gift bag" but we were not offered one. I felt very disrepected. We were also "upgrade" to a nicer room. However it was essentially a conference room with a bedroom attached. Not what I had envisioned for our romantic getaway.

The rooms were pretty large and we were able to sleep 5 people in a room so that made the price at this hotel competitive. The free breakfast was really good although there were long lines. The Metro was right across the street and the free King Street trolley was also across the street, so it was easy to get to places. I would stay here again.

I've stayed at this hotel for a meeting/conference and have always found the rooms clean with great service from the staff. The meeting area was perfect for our meeting. The WiFi worked great anytime I needed it.

It is right across the street from the King st Metro and has a great restaurant. The week day social is terrific. It is minutes from the King st Trolley so seeing Old Town is a breeze. Just a great experience.

The location is great, the interior is amazing looking, but the food was ok. I expected a lot more for the price. (Salmon that had no taste for 30 bucks) My family and I had a great time there and Fawsi, our server made our experience there more enjoyable. He told us about the area and what to visit in D.C. We felt very special when he remembered us the next day and helped us park our car in the garage.
