I worked for the Marriott for years but like coming to Embassy because the staff is well trained and try so hard to make your stay pleasant. I love seeing all the children running around and so happy. The hotel a bit dated and a bit expensive. The only problem I had my television did not work but now I am watching football. Great maintenance. The room a bit musty but all is good when you have great people working here. A no no for having to pay for parking.

The room I rented didn't have working air conditioning, but once notified, a serviceman was in within five minutes and had it working again within ten to fifteen. The amenities were amazing, and our requests were fulfilled immediately and perfectly. All employees were helpful and knowledgeable.

A decent hotel, but in need of an update. The room was acceptable, the staff was friendly and helpful, but the accommodations are dated looking. For the money, there are other more modernized options. Also, noticed the fitness center could be kept a bit more tidy.

Stayed here a few years ago. Rooms were clean. The indoor pool is nice and deep. Breakfast is great and the staff was pleasant. I would stay here again. It was around Thanksgiving so. I'm not sure if that's. Why the price was low but it was very reasonable.

Amazing hotel! Great, friendly service. Comfortable sleeping and spotless. Managers reception was nice and breakfast was really good. I will most definitely stay here whenever I'm in the Kansas City area!

My wife and I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Overland Park while I attended Kansas City Developer Conference. They were very accommodating, working with us to set up to back-to-back reservations so we could stay through the weekend on a separate credit card without having to move rooms. The service was generally very good, although the breakfast gets a little less wonderful towards the end of the period, but that's to be expected with a buffet style meal (the omelets are always wonderful, though). The room was clean and very nice, and I'm sure we'll be back.

My parents stayed here for a weekend and loved the hotel so much. we had happy hour with them and it was so much fun. Their room was a suite and it was very nice. They said they will book here when they visit me from now on. Loved it!

The Embassy suites is a great hotel with only a few drawbacks. Great setup with units having separate Living and Bedrooms so you can shut the bedroom door if needed. They have added a $7 charge for parking recently which is odd because it's an open air parking lot. Hotel could use an update as it is aging but still a great place to stay.

It was clean. The buffet breakfast and the manager's reception in the evening wear nice perks. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only thing that I could think would be a drawback for some people, even though it's very well kept, the furniture is a little dated. Other than that a really good experience.

I had a good stay, but there was some sort of children's sports competition when we visited so I was bothered by kids running through the hotel and riding the elevators in groups for fun. The bar is good. I liked the pool and hot tub a lot. I even found time to briefly use the gym. It would've been a great trip if the kids were better behaved.

This hotel was close by to family we were visiting near by. All of the staff upon arrival and departure were very kind and through. The staff during breakfast kept everything well stocked and the chefs making made to order breakfast were kind and accommodating to all ordering food. The only area that needs some improvement is the rooms/furniture. The door to the bathroom did not close fully and when it did it stuck and was very difficult to open-- a new door would solve this. In addition the furniture was dated and a bit beat up-- again updated/removal/replacement would do the room good. Lastly-- when taking a shower you could hear the pipes in the wall shaking, but the water pressure and everything was fine. Overall good stay for a couple of weeknights but would benefit with updating.

The happy hour and breakfast are great! The bed was comfortable. My only complaint was the thermostat. Our room was either really warm or really cold. There was no in between. O I otherwise enjoyed my two night stay.

Without a doubt the best Hilton location in the Overland Park area. The biggest negatives about the hotel are its aged infrastructure, you can tell it's old, and very poor room air conditioning (even putting the AC on 60 only results in moderate cooling) The positives are the rooms themselves being decently modern, above average TV, good Hilton bed, quiet in the bedrooms away from the center, noticeably friendly staff. Fairly easy to get an upgrade if you have status. Linens and towels were average as expected. General room cleanliness is slightly before average. I didn't have a chance to grab breakfast or attend the happy hour, but I'm sure it was standard Embassy affair. Overall solid, have been back.

Improved from years ago (my previous visit) like the whole hotel has been scoured and made new. The rooms were great and we'll appointed. The open center to the hotel was filled with hanging green plants. Good breakfast as well. And the bed was great!

It's a beautiful hotel and I love the cooked to order breakfast and little things like digital key entry. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating, too.

I didn't like how noisy the hotel was. The open atrium style is cool until you realize how much sounds carries through the building. I could hear people down at the bar until late at night and as it got closer to the weekend and the hotel filled up with families with kids, it got so insanely noisy with kids literally running around everywhere that I actually left the hotel for some peace.

We booked thru a 3rd party site and got a decent deal. There was a parking fee, but we figured that the evening reception (light snacks and drinks) and excellent breakfast offset that. The room was great as we love the suite set up to be able to put our 18 mo old down for the night without us all having to go to sleep when she does. Pool was a little small, but perfect for our young kiddos to enjoy. Would definitely stay again!

So-so experience for an embassy suites. Gets most of the basics okay - first room they gave me had an ozone machine running in the middle of the room. That’s not a good sign. I ended up in an east side room which - be warned - meant a wake up by the very very very loud trash pickup trucks emptying the trash/dumpsters with heavy mechanical arms at just before 4:00 AM! Totally awful way to wake up!

Even if your an Embassy Suite fan like I am you will be disappointed by this location. The furniture in our room was beat up. The carpet shows wear. You have to pay for parking. Dirty laundry was still outside our door at 4:30pm. I had to ask twice for snacks that were supposed to come included in our room. There are many other hotels in the area and a different Embassy not too far away so I don’t plan to be back.

I hadn't stayed at the embassy in a long time and it was very nice. I love the room set up with a true suite. The staff was terrific and so pleasant. The one complaint I have is the amount of traffic noise. May room was on the sixth floor but could hear cars and trucks on Metcalf and on I-435. It wasn't just the occasional, it was constant. I loved the ES but based on the noise alone, I would probably choose to stay somewhere else.

A typical Embassy Suites hotel: comfortable, well run, many amenities. The price was less than I expected, perhaps because I stayed there in January, which is probably their off season. They do charge for parking, $7 a day. The location is a little confusing to get to because you cannot get there directly from Metcalf, but have to turn onto 107th to get to what amounts to a frontage road parallel to Metcalf. And coming south on Metcalf you cannot get there via a left turn--you must either go past and u-turn back to it, or turn left on 103rd and take side streets to 107th, which will take you back to the Metcalf frontage road. But it is convenient to the freeway. Staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

This place was really convenient and easy to access. It is along a walking path. I walked 45 minutes each direction and didn't get to the end. The breakfast buffet had a ton of options, even for me being allergic to gluten. There was plenty of parking. My only issue was that there was only one restroom on the first floor and some guy was in it taking a dump in it. The place is too big to only have one restroom for guests on the first floor.

Great experience with a friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Really good breakfast buffet with cooked to order omelets included in the rate. Also, "happy hour" for 2 hours every evening with free drinks and some snacks. Good location with access to expressways into KC.

My parents enjoy staying at the Embassy Suites when they come to town. A new addition my mom loved were new topping choices for her oatmeal at breakfast. UPDATE: They are now charging for overnight parking, which is something you don't usually have in this suburban area.

This place is even more tired and worn out. There is a charge for the dark parking lot. As you can see I have been to a lot of Embassy Suites, this one probably one of the worst Embassy Suites in the country. I won't be back.
This was my review last year...
I have stayed at this Embassy several times. Always a good omelet chef. Clean and comfortable, just getting a little tired. Could use a renovation to match most of the other Embassy's around the country.

This is an older Embassy Suites that needs an upgrade. The people are very friendly but the rooms are outdated. Also their food is limited for those of us who do not eat pork. There are no turkey products for breakfast and although we informed them upon arrival that we do not eat pork they did not attempt to accommodate us. They also aren't very informative as to things to do in the area. There's so much nearby that they should really let people know.

Our room has: ripped curtains, cracked/torn chair covers, a door off the hinges, and food on the floors in dining room well after breakfast. The Premium floor perks machine was empty. There is a large group of middle school soccer players screaming and playing tag in all 7 levels of rooms. Management and staff did nothing to stop them. This is our 3rd stay at this Embassy. The quality WAS exemplary before. This is our last stay at this hotel as it has gone down hill terribly. Definitely not on meeting the high Embassy standard we've come to trust.

Good place to stay when visiting KC or the surrounding area. Good room that was very clean. Televisions were a little dated. All of the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is the best. Workout room and pool were small. Best part, 1.5 miles from Jack Stack.

I like the Embassy Suites group. I know what I'm getting for the price and it has always worked great for me travelling solo on business or with my family. The complimentary breakfast options are good and the evening Manager's Reception is hard to beat. The location of Overland Park property is in a good spot as there are several options for food and shopping nearby. The rooms were the size of what I expected but they are quite dark unless you open the curtains towards the hallway/open atrium...but that means everyone walking by has a peek (or stare at times). I think we hit a busy weekend as it was extremely busy for breakfast; it was hard to find an open table and the line for made-to-order omelets was too long for me to wait in for the four of us. The other options for a warm or cold breakfast was just fine but I do enjoy the customized omelets. The bed was on the firm side, which never works well with me or my wife...it didn't suck but just more firm that we like so a bit sore each morning. I do have to say the pillows were awful. There were at least 5 or 6 of them but all pancakes. The kids were on the sofa bed in the main room and had problems sleeping, not because of the bed comfort but due to the noise coming from people running up and down the hallway and the overall noise of people down in the bar area of the open atrium...that lasted until past midnight so they were a bit grumpy the next day. The second night was a bit better on the noise but probably had more to do with them being extra tired from the activities we undertook that day. The price was excellent compared to what I would normally expect from an Embassy Suites, which is probably why it was so packed. I was a bit perturbed about having to pay for parking...I have been to several Embassy Suites property around the country and very few of them have pay parking. If I pay for parking, I want it to be behind a gate with security, not a sign that tells you to remove your valuables and you get charged for it.

Upon arrival, was notified of a $7 parking fee. There's no garage or special parking; just a fee to park your car in their lot. The cable tv has not been working all night. I called to front desk and was told they use satellite, so it doesn't work when it's raining hard. Great, since it's supposed to be storming for our entire stay. Room service took over an hour when we were told it would be 20 minutes. Then, arrived with cold food and no flatware. It's a good thing the bed is comfy or this would be a total loss!

We always stay at Hilton hotel when traveling. This has been one of our worst stays. Normally things are great. This time the room we reserved had maintenance issues and they moved us to the third floor (we wanted 6th) right by the elevators and right above the hotel entrance. We heard the smokers outside all night and the noisy hallway from being at the elevators and ice machine. When we got to our room our fridge had food in it from the people before us. I'm giving 4 stars because they're usually great. Based on this stay alone I'd give much less.

I was not impressed with this location. When I arrived, the young man checking me in treated me like I couldn't afford a room upgrade. The room I did receive was in need of an update. There was a vent falling off of the shower wall. The pull out couch got stuck if you didn't pull it out just right. The pool was extremely small for the size of the hotel. They charge $7 per car for parking, which I would understand if we were downtown or there was a parking garage, but it was just a regular parking lot. And most of the spots were on the side and back of the hotel, forcing you to walk to the front of the hotel. Probably would not stay here again if I could get any of the other hotels around it.

Have always enjoyed staying at Embassy Suites. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. At check-in we were informed that there's now a $7 fee per night to park our car in the hotel parking lot! There's a great variety of food for breakfast and someone to cook your eggs/omelet to order. However, they don't know how to cook an egg over medium. Omelets are very good, though. They've also done away with butter. But you can SPRAY your pancakes or toast with fake butter. The parking fee may keep us from staying there again. No parking garage, just a spot to park in. Going in the wrong direction.

Excellent location in Overland park. The rooms are pretty standard fare but the staff is great, super accommodating and always smiling, noatter the request. Breakfast included a fairly popular omelette bar in addition to the standard sausage, bacon or cereal. A hotel bar and restaurant are available on site as well. This location is quite busy so parking may take a few minutes despite the massive lot.

The staff was always busy making sure that a clean and pleasant atmosphere was provided for their customers stay at the Embassy Suites in Overland Park, KS. Warm friendly environment with alot of good perks, the evening reception is a great way to relax and actually socialize with other guests and enjoy each others company. I would suggest also that you take full advantage of the breakfast omelettes and buffet, as well as the indoor pool and spa jacuzzi. Its perched in a major transit area with I 35 close and 435, you can get anywhere in kansas off of them, with a free shuttle also you don't even need to worry about getting into your car. They will take you anywhere within 5 miles. Really I couldn't give them enough credit.

Everything I expect in an Embassy Suites. I have always loved the open feeling of the massive atrium and being able to see my colleagues on the ground floor. No complaints on the room or service. Would have liked a broader selection of food in the gift shop, and also the decor is a little dated.

Fine place, however, room had a bunch of tiny ants that kept showing up. The hotel did give me extra points, but you just don't expect a bunch of tiny ants. I've stayed at this hotel before and it was fine so I'm sure it's an isolated situation. 2nd floor room on the corner by trees. Maybe that's why. I would definitely still stay here.

Stayed for one night as they hosted a group of our show choir high schoolers. Nice rooms. There are little extra charges for everything: "Drink this water bottle for only a $5 charge to your room." The pool area was smaller than expected, though the perfect size for young children. The breakfast was wonderful. They have an excellent dining layout and they accomodated us by opening the breakfast hours early so we could get our group out the door on time.

The Embassy Suites was a great hotel! My stay was comfortable and cozy, and I enjoyed it a lot.

First the staff was pretty nice. I didn't interact with them a lot, aha. However they had a text thing where they would text you if you needed questions. It was really neat! They answered all my questions and quickly too.

Their breakfast was the best breakfast I've had in a hotel. They kept it warm and made more when food was running low. The quality was basic but it has to be to appeal to everyone's taste buds. You have to wake up really early to get a spot and not wait in line!

I had a one-room suite and it was amazing. It was gorgeous, big, and comfortable. The little kitchen corner was also a nice fit! The bed was super comfortable and warm. Slept like a baby.

One thing though is my room had a broken window; not too terribly but it was enough for snow to come in (I stayed during a snowstorm). The bed kept us warm but the room in general was always cold because of it. Before I left the girl at the front desk asked me about my stay and I told her this. She seemed genuinely concerned and told me she would tell her staff.

Literally everything else about this stay was perfect. I would seriously give it a 6/5 stars but that broken window ruined it. But I doubt all the windows are like that! So I would honestly recommend this place.

Compared to other choices in the immediate area this is one of last places I like to stay. I travel to KC often so I've stayed in each hotel at least a handful of times. The indoor courtyard here makes this a noisy place to stay. The rooms are smaller and less accommodating than those in the area. And most important to me, the rooms are never clean. Dust in the vents, mildew in the shower, moldy caulking, smelly pillows - this place just feels run down and sad.

By far, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Large two room suites include a living room with couch and desk in addition to the bedroom. Very nice fitness room, but pool area seemed poorly maintained. Complimentary breakfast and cocktail hours, with shuttle service to any restaurant within 5 miles. Great area with tons of restaurants and stores nearby. A very nice stay; wish I'd needed to be there longer than one night.

Nice clean rooms. Great breakfast in the morning. Had trouble with TV and maintenance swapped it out to fix the problem relatively quick.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Our 1 year old son was with is and it was nice to be able to have him sleep in the separate sitting area.

This hotel had good staff and in close proximity to alot of things in Overland Park area. Older hotel with some upgrades, overall good experience.

The customer service and friendliness of the staff at this hotel property is Amazing!! The bartender Amanda goes out of her way to extend personalized service to all the customers both new and repeats. She does so with a smile the entire time.

Pros: The rooms are nice; large and in good condition. The stay includes a nightly reception with drinks and a nice breakfast.
Cons: Noisy as all get out; yammering and running in the halls from 6a to 11p, walls are thin (our joy was a baby crying next door all night), they start closing the breakfast up earlier than posted, and WiFi is not included in standard package.
Addn'l Con: When we noted our concerns with our stay, management informed us that it sucks to be us (not those words, but close)

I have stayed here multiple times and I absolutely love it. The cooked to order omelettes are amazing, and I enjoyed the gym size and the pool. The entire layout of the hotel is gorgeous. By far the best hotel I have stayed at.
