The hotel was nice. My wall had some damage near the floor but not a big deal.

The hotel has recently quit offering a shuttle service so be aware of that if you can't walk. There is a beautiful park and restaraunts all around if you don't mind a 7-10 minute walk.

Breakfast was good and every staff member was friendly.

The only thing I don't like is the silly reason they say they don't wash the sheets daily. The say it's about conservation, but it's really about $💰$. They do offer you 500 Hilton Honors points for refusing house cleaning service though. They say that's for conservation and then they slip a paper under your door talking about the points. Like I said it's cost saving and would rather they be honest.

Great stay, Shella, Tammy, and Lois were very informative and accommodating and cleared up any mishaps that reservations mixed up. They always had a smile and made the experience 5 star. The reason for the 4 stars is the building condition...water stains, old appliances...smoke detectors and tub needed cleaning. Also the price to park without valet is a bit much. Still I would definitely go back. Like I said, the front desk and maintenance man on site are amazing!

The lowest quality Embassy Suites I have ever experienced. I have stayed at a few Embassy Suites across the country and this one is NOT the best. The lobby has musty smell, only 2 of the three elevators were in service (and according to other reviews, it hasn't been in service for a while), the walls are thin and I could here the television from the next room. The $18 parking fee was steep for this area.
The breakfast was NOT o.k., not good, poor selection and not the quality I have experienced in the past from other Embassy Suites.
The indoor pool area was nice, clean and comfortable. (The pool is the best part of this property.)
:-( To bad, this property could be much more inviting than it is, with a little more work. Just run down and mediocre.

The breakfast is very good. Made to order eggs!!!! The hotel is very Mediterranean with the red tile, water fountains and wrought iron. Rooms are so so. But you get two sleeping areas which is great for kids. Pool is really nice and of course the free drinks and snacks from 5:30-7 is really great. This is my second time staying here for work. Staff is always great and can't beat the Hilton honors program. The location is Central to so good restaurants.

Clean large rooms. Comfy beds and couch. Nice desk in room for workspace. Staff exceptionally courteous and helpful. Breakfast tasty w/good service. Greatly appreciate the discount for family members of St. Luke’s patient. The service and accommodations made a stressful trip more comfortable for my family.

5 stats simply isn’t enough to provide this hotel. They entire stay was outstanding. Laura and Tammy were so friendly and helpful. The morning of my wedding, the water and electricity went out at another hotel I was staying at nearby (Hampton). Tammy and Laura stepped in and helped save my wedding day. The provided a room for all of my bridesmaids to shower and get ready for hair and makeup. The room was extremely clean and the hotel staff was wonderful. They truly saved my wedding day and I can’t thank them enough for their kindness.

Breakfast was good. Good cook
Bar and drinks were great. Receptionist (Jay & Ali) were extremely helpful. Room's were ok
Bathroom to small. Sink in bedroom not a good idea. Had to wait to long for elevator and when it arrived there was no space. My wife was in a wheelchair.

The Embassy Suites was beautiful and the place offered a nice restaurant that stayed open late. The server we had was fantastic and very accommodating. They had only 2 of the 3 elevators running while we were there and they were busy so it took extra time to get to and from the lobby area. The room we we're assigned to had a musty odor and the a/c didn't work very efficient. It was a little warm and muggy for comfort. We did mention that to the front desk upon check out so they are aware if the situation.

The location is nice. There are museums close by and you can easily walk to the plaza. It is sort of noisy, but that is to be expected when you are next to Hospital. Lots of ambulance noise. I was not impressed with the hotel as a whole. Our bathroom was incredibly small, we did not have an amenities packet in our room or hotel information. The breakfast and managers reception were nice. There was a broken elevator so a 5-10 minute wait for the elevator was common.

I was only there for a social event but the hotel was very nice inside of the atrium. It has like a really nice Spanish feel to it with polished stones and terracotta tiles around the inside of the atrium. My only problem was that they had one of the elevators turned off for some reason and there was like a fraternity party there or something which was causing issues with wait times but I could take the stairs to get to my room.

I attended a family event at this Embassy Suites. I found that the hotel was fairly clean. Parking is horrid however. The parking garage is the worst I've seen. Elevators were particularly slow coming up from the garage and even more so going back to it, but in the hotels defense, they did have a couple large scale events happening. The banquet room was clean well lit and a decent size. Overall, it was nice, but not overly impressive.

This is my favorite hotel chain and my favorite hotel to stay at in KC. I love the proximity to Westport and the Plaza. However I feel like this particular Embassy Suites has seen better days. One of the 3 elevators was out of commission the entire duration of our visit (we stayed 5 nights). This became quite an issue on the weekend when the hotel became busy. The air conditioning was adequate but the outside temperature never rose above 70. There were multiple other little things that felt tired or on the verge of becoming an issue. I feel like this location is in need of a refresh soon, to maintain the quality that one comes to expect from this franchise. Like I said this is my favorite hotel chain and I prefer to stay at Embassy whenever I travel. Thanks.

I stay in about 200 hotel rooms a year. This is by far the worst Hilton property I've ever stayed in and one of the worst I've been in altogether.

The only advantage to this hotel is good location to the bars and restaurants in Westport.

The moment I walked into the lobby I smelled a musty smell and was met with a very dated frumpy lobby. I failed to even research that parking was $18 a day. For a non downtown district in the Midwest, that's laughable. I parked a 3 minute walk away on the next street over for free.

One of the elevators is out of service, so wait times to use the elevator can easily take 3-5 minutes each way. The room I was assigned had an overwhelming smell in the living room similar to dog food. The bathroom is small and mine reeked of sulfur. The windows are filthy, the wallpaper stained and damaged. Conversation in adjacent rooms can easily be heard through the air vents.

Breakfast was underwhelming compared to other Embassy Suites. Powdered eggs, long slow lines for omelettes, and screaming kids running around.

Whoever owns this hotel has hit the jackpot as this property is absolutely packed. It's mostly families who I guess don't care they're staying at an overpriced, filthy, dated dump. The owners obviously haven't invested a dime into this property in many years, rip off guests with high parking fees, and offer substandard food and rooms.

I'd be livid and mortified if I were in Hilton management. This property falls way outside of Hilton's already inconsistent and just adequate property standards. I booked this hotel due to location and availability despite mixed reviews. I'm shocked how many positive reviews this hotel gets. If you're a family who doesn't care about anything besides free breakfast for your kids and a pool, fine. If you're a frequent business traveler, you'll be shocked by this dilapidated dump.

I didn't stay here but my business colleague did for the same conference I was attending. We met for breakfast at his hotel one morning and the breakfast selection was immaculate! The food was quite delicious for a hotel and filled me up quickly. I love how many breakfast options they had (bacon, turkey or pork sausages, oatmeal, muffins, cereals, juices, eggs, coffee, tea, fruit, among many more)

Wonderful. Only slight drawback is a small bathroom. Great people, great service, nice room, awesome breakfast. Will stay here again. So far, embassy suites has shown me they want my business. They got it. Worth every penny.

We had a great view on the 9th floor. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. We did have a drainage issue in the sink but the staff was quick to come solve the problem. The restaurant was great. Waiter was awesome with our kids and the food was amazing. Breakfast was also equally as good. The pool was clean and the right temp for an indoor pool in the winter.

Nice, clean rooms and friendly staff. On site security guard. Great hot breakfast in the morning. Could use some more elevators though. Better off taking the stairs at checkout time. Fairly convenient location - within walking distance to some bars that serve food and a short ride to downtown. Would definitely recommend.

The room was nice and the front desk staff was great. Breakfast was impressive. The shuttle drivers were also awesome. They would take us anywhere on the plaza or in Westport, gave dining recommendations, and picked us up when we called. I give 4 stars because the happy hour was a little disappointing. The drinks were not great, and the snacks were super low quality. The restaurant food was also super disappointing, but we mostly planned to dine out anyway. Overall, great stay :)

Good hotel with nice lobby decor. Our first room smelled very moldy, but they kindly switched us and the second room was much better. The shuttle that will take you to Westport or the Plaza is very convenient. Bathrooms are small but workable. Outlets are plentiful in the second room area but lack by the beds for this day and age. Overall pleasant experience.

This will be our new family tradition during the Christmas season. This is a beautiful place with excellent staff. The place was decorated for the season amazingly to top it off. The view of tour main hotel area from the glass elevator was beautiful. My young children were in awe of the whole experience and are still talking about it and wanting to go back. We had a really nice clean room what was very comfortable. The evening free refreshments and cocktails were fabulous! We dined at the on site resteraunt, the staff was amazing as well as the food! Highly recommend steaks and their pizza! The morning meal not only free but delicious! Even after out stay I received a text hoping our stay was nice. This in all the nicest place to stay, great staff, food and rooms. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you for adding wonder to our Christmas season and becoming part of all future holiday seasons.

The price was good for 1 night on a holiday weekend. But the shower head was leaky, the drain in the shower was stopped up so it drained the water slower than the tub filled up. The pool area would have been nice except it was so cold only a few darting people actually got in. The ground was was even ice cold and uncomfortable to walk on. The lobby also was cold and feels as if it too is not heated or cooled. The breakfast was good, but it was in the lobby so we left it early because my fiance and child we're too cold to enjoy the food. The happy hour drinks were good though I give the stay a 6 out of 10 a functional shower would make my rating a 6.5 or 7.

The rooms were nice and clean however a handle did fall off of a the TV console. I loved that it had a full length mirror. The breakfast wasn't as good as I remember from the last time I was there. The potatoes looked good but we're bland and cold. Maybe some biscuits and gravy would help. There wasn't much selection for fruit either.

Had an enjoyable stay. Staff were excellent and hotel was clean. Breakfast was a good start to the day as well. Only criticism was that the rooms had the most bizarre layout. 2 bed 1 bathroom suite. The bathroom was in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had no wardrobe, no sink and had to go into the other bedroom to use the bathroom, shower etc.Very strange.

Beautiful accommodations and service was friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely stay here again in the future. Clean hotel, beautiful lobby and open areas to sit and converse, rooms were spacious and clean, service was friendly, my lunch and dinner selections at the restaurant were good tasting and presented in a nice way. Enjoyed the complimentary cocktail hours for guests of the hotel as well. We stayed for 2 weeks as we were in town on business from Indianapolis, Indiana. Wonderful hotel, highly recommended. 😊

I am very thankful for the hotel. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is amazing. Such a fun place. It is a great place to host an event. If you looking for a modern renovated place this is not your hotel, but if you are looking for a unique and fun experience there is no other place like it.

The location was great; close to where we needed to be. Lots to do on the Plaza! The hotel was very clean, room was huge and felt like an apartment, with it being a 2 room suite. We were really able to relax and not feel like we were on top of each other. The bed and pillows were amazing, better than I remember for an Embassy Suites. The free breakfast was delicious; buffet, plus a made to order omelet station. Oh,and the managers reception the night we checked on was nice. They ran out of most food, but it was 30 minutes before it ended when we arrived, so we understood. It was nice to get a cocktail and a small snack before heading out for the night. Great experience all around. I would highly recommend it!

I didn't stay at the hotel. I attended a convention as a volunteer and guest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bellhop helped us get our many boxes upstairs. The bartender was great and the food was good during the happy hour. I would absolutely recommend. My only complaint was the parking is difficult and twice my card didn't work trying to exit the parking area. Since there is no space to turn around, this was pretty frustrating. But the hotel itself was great.

Staff is very good, they all took great care of us. Breakfast is a strong point. What knocks this hotel down to a 3 is that it is dated. Inadequate electrical outlets, and the outlets that were in our room have been used so much that our cords nearly fell out of the outlets on their own. Had to run the shower for at least 5 minutes each morning before hot water came out. Elevator #1 was slowing down or just stopping between floors twice that we rode it (we refused to ride it again after that). Room wouldn't get cool enough for our liking, staff tried to help but the system just wasn't up to it. It's pretty inside the atrium, but some significant investment needs to be made to upgrade the tired rooms. We've stayed here twice in the last six months, and will again, but hope they will start working on updates.

Decent hotel, located in walking distance of several great food/drink/shopping places. Pillows-meh! :( Water temp fluctuates a lot - I'd say easily 10-15 degrees - an entire shower. Knock early for room flip/fill/replace. Employees are polite and helpful tho!

Staff was super, every one I interacted with was the ultimate professional, even a server who was on her first day.

Nice hot made to order omelet breakfast bar. First day sausage on bar was cold in the middle. Second day hash bowns were very cold the middle.

Free drinks that had a nice amount of alcohol and snacks during happy hour.

Was very disappointed in fire stairs. Floors were not marked and missing exit signs. This is important to me when they put me in the eight floor. First attempt to follow the stairs near my room dropped me into the back of the kitchen with no clear view of an exit or exit sign. Presented with two ways to go in the kitchen, I would hate to have to randomly pick a route during an emergency.

Some of the staff was nice, while others give you consistent dirty looks. They didn't have enough maintenance, and foods served where very subpar, especially the happy-hour snacks. The room I stayed in had a busted television as well with a crack in it. The room was clean though and the hotel did it's job just fine.

I had an amazing recent stay. I was in town for a concert and this location was perfect for us. A $9 Uber ride to the Sprint Center was not bad. The Westport was just what we were looking for. Breakfast the next day was a big surprise with the made to order omelets. Definitely be back. Also had an issue with our bill. Hotel Manager was very easy to work with.

Overall a great stay. Encountered a couple minor issues but the staff was very helpful at addressing them. My family had a great time staying at this hotel. The kid loved the swimming pools. We stayed 3 nights and felt like the staff catered to us. They were always ready and able to help which was nice. The rooms were setup like a one bedroom appt which was really nice if someone wanted to stay up and watch TV later. One thing we were very impressed by was the pool. There was a under 4 ft pool (upper pool in pic) which was nice for the kids, a deeper pool that was over 7 ft for adults (lower pool in pic), plus the hot tub. Also, a dry sauna was available to use, although we didn't try it. It was alittle dated, but I'm still rating as a 5 because we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is beautiful and close to a lot of great sites. It feels a little dated, but I'm OK with that because the price matched it. The Embassy breakfast is awesome, of course. The parking is awkward and tight and limited, but they have a good solution for overflow next door. I could see Embassy Suites either spending money to update the hotel or selling it to another, lesser hotelier. It's on that verge. I would go again, though, because of it's location and price.

Staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful, accommodating. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds, pool and hot tub were icing on the cake. Only downside is paying for parking. This will up the price of your room by $15/day.

Though the 3 elevators took a while to come up and down understandable when there is quite few people this hotel has and we chose to go down and up at busy times . The rooms were clean. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The free drinks and snacks were great! The atmosphere was calm as well. We also ate at the reastaurant inside the hotel. The service was good and the food delicious.

Great views, busier hotel, parking is not the greatest, very tight under the hotel. Rooms are spacious. Has a cruise ship vibe to it. Kids like to play tag on all the floors. That can be annoying. Not a romatic spot, but definitely kid friendly. Beds were comfy.

The lobby is nice and all but the set up doesn't seem to be working for the amount of people that actually use it. Everything is crowded and this is supposed to be a slow part of the season. The made-to-order breakfast has always been the most appealing to me, but the set up just causes confusion and long wait times. Also, the grill area is absolutely filthy. When I ordered my egg white omelet with certain veggies I got large chunks of other ingredients and char from the dirty grill. To top it off the eggs were very undercooked and inedible. The tables don't get cleaned soon enough and lots of people are left standing and waiting. Again, this is supposed to be the slow season for this hotel, but there's problems. I'd hate to see it when business picks up. I've always loved staying at Embassy Suites, their staple Happy Hour and breakfast has always hooked me. It's disappointing that this turned out to be a mess. Hopefully things improve soon otherwise I'd have to consider switching.

We stay at embassy suites when we take the kids. This is the only place we'll stay with kids. It's old, dated, and crowded, but they have an indoor pool, hot tub, and a good breakfast. We have four kids, so it's good for us. I would never stay here if it were me and the hubby alone! The Westport 816 is our favorite romantic hotel.

Always an awesome experience. We stay at the Plaza a couple of times a month while in KC for work. Drinks in the evening, amazing breakfast, friendly staff, rooms are very nice and clean. Close to entertainment, restaurants and shopping. Would highly recommend.

The stay was great. The location was perfect for our stay. the only thing is they just need to update the rooms a little. Otherwise, I would easily come here again.

It was a great stay at the embassy suites. The staff was very friendly and even interacted with our kids. At breakfast Ginger came and gave us some great recommendations for places to bring our kids since we were coming from out of town. Kat the associate manager also left us a nice treat in our room. Breakfast was great we always enjoy an omelet bar. They have a great workout room and the kids really enjoyed the pool. We also took the shuttle service which was very quick and had minimal weight times. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Three stars at best. Place looks a little outdated. Checking in was fairly easy. Elevators are slow when busy. Rooms also need updated. Bathroom is small. The AC was kinda loud and never did really cool the room off. The hot water takes a very long time to get hot. The managers hour for drinks was OK. Bartender did make good/stiff drinks and was fast. The "food" was not good - nachos and nasty salsa. Location is decent. They have good shuttle service. Can be a little pricey. Overall, just MEH

This hotel was definitely long in the tooth and had a very 80s feel. Not what is usually encountered at a Hilton. Staff was friendly and courteous at the front desk.

Unfortunately the room I was in stunk heavily of mildew. The air conditioner was clearly not functioning properly as it ran constantly and the room felt very muggy. I should have requested a different room but was too tired to deal with it. The bed was not that comfortable and the sheets didn't feel or smell clean due to the excessive moisture. Not a pleasant experience.

I was prepared to brush it off until others in my group complained of similar issues the next morning. Will most likely not be back anytime soon.

We always visit the Embassy Suites while my mother & father-in-law are in town visiting. He has lots of points with Hilton HHonors, and I used to work for JQH Hotels (Homewood Suites) and have nothing but nice things to say about that experience and the company as a whole. They always enjoy their rooms, and we always enjoy sharing in their complimentary HAPPY HOUR, having dinner afterwards in Two Twenty West, and complimentary breakfast the next morning downstairs in the lobby. The staff is very courteous as are the bartenders we engage with frequently during their "Happy Hour". Thank you!

Room was nice albeit a bit dated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No free WiFi though? C'mon this virtually standard now.
