As part of our commitment to reducing our waste to landfill, we created a comprehensive waste strategy and we collaborate with WWF to reduce food waste in our operations and supply chain. Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

Green Key Eco-Rating Program 3

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Excellent service from all members, from the kitchen staff to the GM. Made sure my stay in Montreal was very enjoyable.

This hotel is well located, walking distance to all the major attractions in old town Montreal. Our suite was big and clean with the all the amenities you need. We enjoyed the free social hour in the afternoon, overall we had a great stay.

This hotel is located in a very convenient place in downtown Montreal. The room I had was very large, clean and comfortable. I received cards for two drinks during the happy hours (5 to 7) per day as well as for breakfasts. which was very good compared with the 'Continental breakfast' of other hotels.
I found the service in the restaurant not good at all. I had to wait a good amount of time before someone came to ask me if I wanted to eat. The waitress could be a little bit friendly. The food was average to regular, so I did not tried it again.

Great value hotel. Wonderful location in the heart of old Montreal. Very nice complimentary breakfast (certainly nicer than an average hotel breakfast complete with custom made eggs). Generous room sizes. Clean and we'll appointed rooms.

Wow! Fantastic establishment. On site parking with one time pay including in and out privileges. Suite was well appointed, clean, and spacious. Full kitchen was nice, though generally not needed. Neptune/Trident brand jacuzzi tub in the room was very enjoyable close to our anniversary stay. The facility is Close to everything notable as well as the subway for farther destinations. In house restaurant serves ample variety of well prepared fare (our particular server was less than attentive however). All inclusive breakfast with cook to order chef on station. Complimentary cocktail cards provided at check in for happy hour mixers in the evening. Smart elevators require room card to operate are servo operated for the smoothest of lifts, and are verbally interactive as well.
Highly recommend.

Good place. Nice large rooms for a fair price. There are also some cards you can get if you are a diamond Hilton member for free drink and snacks at the restaurant which last from breakfast all the way to seven o’clock. The staff are very friendly and there is always parking spot near the elevator, so if you are carrying anything heavy you won’t need to worry. If there could be one thing to improve it would be the elevators since they are quite slow and take some time to get to your floor. I would surely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Montreal near downtown.

BEST HOTEL IN MONTREAL! I stayed four nights in Montreal and this is the best hotel hands down. Le crystal which is a 5 star hotel has nothing on this place. Nice rooms. Great staff and the manager was the coolest guy you will ever meet went way out of his way to help us out. You will not be disappointed!!!!

This hotel has a perfect location, the staff are friendly and breakfast is included as are two drinks in the evening between certain hours. The rooms in this hotel are huge with a full size fridge and kitchen except for a stove. The bedroom is also separate and the suites have a large jetted tub and shower. Highly recommended.

Very nice rooms, pretty comfortable beds. The bathroom is spacious and very nice. Jacuzzi bathtub was really nice. Breakfast and a couple complimentary drinks a day are included. Breakfast is pretty good, just the basics though, eggs, omelettes cooked to order, bacon, sausage, fruit, pancakes ect. Large kitchenette full size fridge, dishwasher, but weirdly there is no cups, plates, or any type of utensil. Would have been really nice it it was available.

We had a bad experience. The room was nice and fresh, no issues there. It was hot in Montreal during our stay and the AC could not keep up, it was hot and humid in the room
all the time. Then we have breakfast, utterly understaffed, long lines...

Finally our stay was split in two reservations. Despite checking two times that we could keep the same room it was not taken care off and when the first reservation ended we needed to change rooms. By then we had enough and changed hotel.

Good location central to Old Montreal. Service was great. Our stay included breakfast and complimentary drinks, which we enjoyed. The hotel is busy around peak times, particularly check out, breakfast, and happy hour, so plan accordingly. Our room was comfortable, with a useful kitchenette.

I'm not sure if i was secretly upgraded, but this was an amazing hotel experience. My room had a full kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The bathroom had a huge jacuzzi in it. The concierge gave me two free drink tickets per night at the bar downstairs. And free breakfast.

Location was fantastic, super trendy bars nearby, 2 min walk to the subway, 7 min walk to the river...

Stayed 5 days around for New years eve 2018; perfect for families; very close to old montreal and all the terrific restaurants; Right across from entrance to the Montreal underground city (look for rental car company signs) so you can walk practically anywhere in downtown Montreal indoors in warmth. Great free breakfast and evening snacks; excellent bar as well but can get crowded at peak times. Rooms are nice and large, perfect for a family of 4 to 5 max and had a electric fireplace. Staff was very good, but can be overwhelmed at peak times. Will definitely return.

Had a king sized suite with my own living room, kitchen and a separate bedroom.

Definitely a bit more than what was needed for me alone, but the quality of the room was superb. Linens were crisp and clean, bathroom was immaculate. Definitely on the high end in terms of price, but you get what you get being in downtown Montreal.

Best bang for your buck if you're doing anything in old Montreal or the Bell Center. 10ish minute walk to Bell Center. 5 minutes to Old Montreal. Can't beat the 2 free drinks per adult at night and the breakfast is phenomenal. We have yet to have a non suite room (which I see they have). We will never stray unless the price is exorbitantly more.

Four star because they upgraded our room which was really nice. Otherwise 3 at best. Complimentary breakfast had options but most were not great quality...cold, over cooked, etc. Some staff were friendly but others were very rude. Started clearing table as we were finishing breakfast. Bar tender snapped at us when we ordered something he didn't have. Room was clean and great since it was an upgrade, Presidential Suite with mulitple rooms. The whole place needs to be friendlier though.

Room was gorgeous, the bath was such a treat after days of walking around being a tourist. Breakfast each morning was just okay. It gets extremely busy so finding a place to seat wasnt easy. Happy hour for the drink tickets was the same deal. Overall the stay was great. Great location in old Montreal. Not even a block away from a Metro station which was a perk for us since we got around exclusively through the metro.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the city convenient to get anywhere (especially the train to get you anywhere you don't want to walk to). Food for breakfast was good for buffet and included an omelette station. The staff was very nice and attentive. The concierge was wonderful. We had an issue with the sink in our room, but they were so quick to resolve it wasn't even thought about for long after. Overall I would come back here again when I visit Montreal again.

2 elevators for 11 floors. Had to sit and wait for elevator. When elevator arrived it was full. Was able to take stairs down but they take you outside. They don't exit in the building. Lobby rug was dirty from the salt tracked in and never seemed to be cleaned. Left at 5:30 and there was no one at the front desk. Other than that the rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast.

This is how a hotel should be. Friendly people.. as most of Canada is.. and outstanding service. Open bar w/ 2 free complimentary drinks per guest and snack trays makes for a great couple of happy hours. Clean rooms, ours even had a fire place. And even when it's cold out, you'll feel warm and toasty at the Embassy Suites.

Great hotel in the Heart of the City. They take care of diamonds by giving 2 free drink coupons for every day you stay plus free breakfast. Friendly staff, nice Fitness Center, and close to everything. Minus 1/2 star for crappy WiFi signal on the 6 floor. It kept going out and when it worked it was pretty slow over a 3 day stay...but that's not enough to keep me from staying there again. Not located directly above the underground tunnels but you can get easy access the street or next door.

Good hotel- Has a lot of old world charm that is forgotten in the United States, like having a print newspaper delivered to your doorstep in the morning. The staff is friendly and service oriented and don't look at you longingly for a tip after they point you in the right direction. The corridors smell fresh. Good bar, centrally located building, good breakfast options. The bathroom in our room was really large, with a shower cubicle and a Jacuzzi. Room service was always on point. Overall, this hotel was really good, and I'd come back again.

Perfect spot in the downtown core, close walking distance to many sights and restaurants. The hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We travelled with our young daughter so had a suite with a separate bedroom, kitchen and sitting area. The room exactly met our needs, was well equipped and comfortable. Continental breakfast was a great bonus and the staff were able to suggest places to get good food that would welcome our daughter. We would definitely stay here again in the future when we're visiting Montreal, thank you so much!

The rooms are nice and spacious. Our room on the top floor had an electric stove, fridge, and sink by the living area. The master bedroom was divided by sliding wooden doors, and the washroom had two doors to enter from. The glass shower was a bit too cramped, but there was a jacuzzi. The gym is open 24 hours and it included free weights. No squat rack tho. The complimentary breakfast was alright. Sausage and bacon was okay, but the eggs tasted like plastic. The staff is very friendly.

Rooms were comfy and large. The doors inside the room were sliding doors with locks that didn't work well. Pretty nice. Room had seen slightly better days, but it was a clean hotel, nice staff and pretty quiet. The breakfast was mediocre, kinda more holiday inn quality :/ Pretty sweet to have the bedroom and living space separated. Only problem for me was the shower stall is pretty small (6'5,210lbs). Check out was a breeze

Beautiful hotel with courteous staff. Fluent in French as well as English. Bar tender was amazing giving every one advice on neighbourhood. One thing i will say is to be sure you inquire about the view you will have, as my room was facing the rear ally with dumpsters. How ever this did not effect my stay.

The suite is very spacious and comfortable. We were each given 2 vouchers per day for free drinks at the bar during happy hour. The free breakfast is good, consisting of eggs, pancakes, fresh fruits and yogurts. The housekeeping service did not replace the towels that had been used. The location is great if you are planning on visiting Old Montreal.

Overall quite a nice hotel. Stayed on 9th floor suite. Comfortable bed, nice tub (couldn't figure out how to turn down the jets lol), great breakfast options (definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had). Would give 5 stars but the tub didn't quite work (only high powered jets, couldn't lower them at all) and the a/c in the room was VERY noisy, to the point that it vibrated the bed. Clearly it needed repairs. Let the staff know and they said they'd get it fixed and were nice enough to give us a small discount. In the end, not an amazing hotel experience, but I would give them another chance for sure.

The buffet was excellent. Rooms spacious. Staff friendly. The only thing we didn't like is that the sheets for the sofa bed were not in the room and we needed to call to get the bed made. Great hotel for the price. Came with managers special drinks in the evening, and free breakfast in the morning. Didn't need the kitchenette, but I can see how it would be useful for some. Only concern I had was the dated feel to the hotel spaces and the slow, sketchy elevator.

My family had a great stay here. The rooms are as good as you would expect at an Embassy Suites. Staff were (as far as I could tell) fully bilingual in English and French. There is a small gym/fitness center for guests.

The service was very good both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The suite was lovely and comfortable. The only downside to our stay was that our room had not been thoroughly checked after the previous guest had left and my husband found a bottle of lubricant next to the bed on the floor, a little off putting. We told the concierge and they apologised. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

The check-in process was easy. With our booking we received four complementary drinks and complimentary breakfast.

The food is average, but the breakfast is free so you can't complain. The lunch/dinner isn't anything special, and it did take a long time to get served when it wasn't too busy.

Parking is $25 per day with in and out privileges, but the whole parking lot underground has ridiculously narrow lanes, and the spots aren't easy to get in or out of because of this.

Not sure if it was just my room, but the thermostat was old and broken looking, the showerhead wasn't installed properly so it sprayed everywhere when the water was running, and there were just a few other minor things like dents in the appliances and a bent grate near the bathtub.

Bed was comfy, gym was nice, and the overall feel of the room was above average.

I'd stay here again if I was in the area.

As a frequent business travel, I am used to the comfort of Embassy Suites but did not expect it to be such a family friendly place. The location in Montreal is perfectly suited for vacationers and families looking to enjoy the old town and soak in the European charm by foot by exploring the Notre Dame, Old Montreal, Chinatown and Port cruises. Being located a few steps away from the metro, makes it accessible to most of the prominent places to visit across Montreal. Great value for money, with cozy rooms (views are not to die for), comfortable beds, spacious tub & shower and it can't go wrong with breakfast included in the price. Be warned that the restaurant is always crowded for breakfast, and the dishes repeat almost every day but the chefs cook up the made-to-order dishes in quick time which is a bonus.

Rooms are great. Included breakfast is nice if simple. My only negative is that the walls are a little thin so noise travels into the room. In the single suite the bed is in a separate enclosure so that helps with the noise at night. Overall, wonderful stay and experience.

Great location, a few blocks from old town, near many delicious restaurants.. we were upgraded from a studio room to a 1 bedroom suite.. its much larger than expected, including : kitchen with huge refrigerator, plates/utensils/cups, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker; living room with sofa & large tv, work station/ desk; bedroom with tv; large bathroom with soaking tub.. the service has been excellent.. complimentary, delicious breakfast .. 2 free drinks during happy hour per person.. great stay!!!

Was given a room at Embassy through hot wire. Upon arrival we were upgrade to a beautiful king suite, given drink tickets and a complimentary breakfast, definitely worth every penny. Michelle, at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Would love to stay again.

Great New Years Stay!
Great perks including two free drinks per night, per adult at the bar, free cook to order breakfast, great Wi-Fi connection. Hospitality Consultant, Jaques, was amazing. So helpful. Arranged reservations for four at a nearby French restaurant on New Years Eve!
Large rooms, modern, and great location.
