ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Clean and attractive accommodations at a good price. Very accommodating front desk staff. We especially appreciated the hotel's complimentary breakfast, daily happy hour access to dining options.

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and took very good care of us. The free commentary breakfast is outstanding!! We will be back in the future and highly recommend it to anyone coming to Delaware.

This hotel is not bad for the price and it has nice size televisions in the room and plenty of room in general. There are little things that are showing it's age. Certain walls / doors need repainting such as the entrance to the elevator on the bottom floor. Also the arm of the couch in my room is very loose to the point I made sure not to lean on it. Overall I would stay again.

Had some issues with getting a crib sent to our room. Had to call the front desk multiple times. However, after complaining they reduced the price of the room and called to make sure we were ok. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great the next morning.

Love this place! Complimentary cocktails and snacks at check in, and I'm talking fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, veggies, chips and salsa. The room was super nice and comfy and all the amenities! Breakfast was an actual buffet and omelet station. Better than most restaurants. Loved this place.

THIS HOTEL IS THE ONE FROM SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING, but don't be fooled, the movie used a completely different pool than the one actually here. Not too shabby but the real pool is super dirty and not the one featured in the movie , but we enjoyed our stay

Very comfortable and well maintained. The room I stayed in is clean and spacious. There is a TGI Friday's in the same building with access from within the hotel. Not any significant view but you don't really expect that from this location.

Anyone staying here would be comfortable.

Location is nice and visible on the corner but you can on one side of the street. Place is very nice with a big spacious central area when you walk in. Reception was also nice and gave me a free bottle of water. The room i got is an executive suite which is very nice. Bedroom is separated from the living room area so it's pretty spacious. Only thing I didn't see was a do not disturb sign so not sure if they have that option or it's just my room.

I love this place!!!!! I stay here once every year for a hockey tournament. I look forward to it ALL year.
Breakfast is delicious. The rooms meet all the amenities ever needed.
The decor is LOVELY. Beautiful and dare I say jungle-esque. Plants and wood.
Great place for families. Very friendly. Good for visiting college family or friends who attend across the street.
I would give ten stars if I could. It is truly the best hotel I ever have, and ever will, stay at.

This hotel is convenient when staying in Newark, it has a nice open design inside and the rooms are clean and inviting. The complimentary snack hour and breakfast is great and the WiFi is fantastic. The staff is friendly and there is a gym and a pool which are bonuses.

Great location and easy to get to. The rooms were modern yet comfy, and very inviting. Loved the decor of the rooms, lobby, and the overall set-up of the hotel. The restaurant Friday's is attached to the hotel which we very convenient. There was a teen party going on in one of the halls during one night of my stay, but I didn't hear any of it inside my room. Shuttle service was great. Staff overall was very helpful with accommodations. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Absolutely love this beautiful hotel. The small atrium setup is great here. The rooms are well thought out and perfect for socializing in the evening. Super comfortable furniture. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Staff is friendly. The food is excellent. After a lot of travel the past year or two, i would say they have the best breakfast buffet I've ever been to at a hotel. And its included!
I've spent new years here for 3 years in a row now.

Nice clean hotel. Decent breakfast in the morning. The attendants in the breakfast area always have been friendly and willing to be helpful. Convenient location which I will stay at again. The elevator on the right has an out of service light which illuminates and then stops at the next floor kicking you out, yet it remains in service.

THIS WAS FOR MY WEDDING.
This venue is the only one I looked at. I knew instantly I wanted to have my special day here. Joan helped me with EVERYTHING for the wedding. She was very professional, got back to me ASAP and did whatever she needed to to make sure things were as I wanted them. Above and beyond. Price was great. Space was great and I heard from several people that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. I did the carving stations and it was fantastic. Joan made me feel like I was the only bride in the world! 100/100 recommend. The honeymoon suite was huge! And the breakfast in the lobby had so many options it was awesome.

Not sure why everyone is praising the breakfast. Eggs were dry, as was the awful tasting sausage. The biscuits were cold and the gravy was sub-par. The ommlet station had such a long wait I didn't even bother, but I can't imagine it makes up for the line.

Rooms were nice, but I could hear everything in the next room. Elevator was very slow and can't hold many people. If it's a busy day it could take up to 10 minutes to get on. I actually used the stairs when coming down.

The snack store is a typical hotel rip off where the cover up the manufacturer printed price with a sticker and gouge the price, $3.50 for a small ice cream bar.

The hotel is nice looking, with a fancy name but honestly not worth the price.

Great stay! Super friendly staff and great breakfast! The cook making Omelets actually had a smile on his face in the morning and was friendly, this is an anomaly, trust me! Most cooks at these hotels look
pi#!ed off and grouchy.
Only one recommendation- clean the damn elevator glass, it looked like someone was licking the glass. After telling the front desk about it 3 times, it was finally cleaned 3 days later...

Very nice hotel for the whole family. It had a king size bed and a sofa bed. Which was very comfortable for us. The breakfast was great, made to the order omelets and a good variety. The staff kept it very clean even though there was a big crowd at the time.
The pool had an ok temperature as well as the jacuzzi which just had one out of all the jets working : (
The shower was not clean; I mentioned that at the front desk and right away it was cleaned. Besides these two "issues" we all enjoyed our stay.

Very short visit driving through, but this is a very nice hotel convenient to I-95. The entire hotel is well cared for and was clean throughout. The rooms were also well kept, very large, and very quiet. Breakfast was great, only minor complaint would be the coffee, which was not particularly good. Overall highly recommended!

Upon arrival it certainly does keep the Embassy Suites look. We had to travel down here for a few reasons and we've stayed at a few of other Embassy Suite locations, and we decided to keep the tradition going. Walking into the lobby is absolutely gorgeous and the open glass elevators over the fountain are stunning. Breakfast was certainly over the top and I highly HIGHLY recommend staying at this location and all other Embassy Suite locations.

Good and bad. The glass elevator looks out to the lobby. Both the bedroom and living area have a TV. Free breakfast includes made-to-order meals. Full breakfast in the morning. Full buffet breakfast on Sunday mornings. Free snacks between 5 and 7 PM. Pool, hot tub, exercise room. The restaurant, TGI Friday's, is attached to the hotel. On the flip side, the Internet WiFi was either very slow or nonexistent. The rooms are becoming outdated and worn. The pool has bubbles and foam, much more than one would expect.

The hotel was alright. You could not hear your neighbors through the walls or ceiling, and it was extremely well furnished. After crossing the threshold of the entrance to the hotel, we were greeted by the team members at the front desk. They were extremely friendly and made you feel at home. The things I was dis-satisfied with were the slow wireless connection to the internet, the bad television reception, and the pool. We checked out the pool, hoping to have a good time in the cool water, yet the water was not blue and there were bubbles. Also, at the end of our stay, we found a roach on the wall of the room. Luckily, we left but hours later. Overall, the stay was quite satisfactory.

We stayed the night when my husband was in the area for a job interview. It was the hotel chosen by the company. The accommodations were very comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time but it was a good place to get some sleep. There is a complimentary breakfast. It's nothing special but it's nice to grab a bite before going out. Bathroom was clean and roomy. Good water pressure. I'd definitely recommend if you had business in the area.

I stayed in one of the larger suites on the corners of the buildings. The room has plenty of space. You come in to a decent sized living space with seating for 5-8. Down the hallway is the bedroom. There were two tvs - one in the bedroom and one in the living space, both flat screens. A king size pull out couch is located in the wrap around sofa in the living room to accommodate extra guests. The room was a good size for our event. Everything was very clean and neat in the room upon arrival. Breakfast is served in the morning with just about anything you can think of in a buffet style. There is also a "made to order'' breakfast counter if you want something more specific. There are several conference spaces on the ground floor of the hotel that can be used or rented. Overall a good experience at Embassy Suites.

This is a nice Modern Embassy Suites. Plenty of space to host events, and the rooms are in great shape. It's located close the the University of Delaware campus. Cleaning staff actually honor the "leave the towel on the hook to reuse" environmentally friendly policy. Connected to a TGIFridays, and just a short walk to Mad Mac & Matildas (delicious Lobster Mac). Are you a Hilton Honors app user? Use your phone to unlock you door.

Our stay was great. We loved our room and how clean it felt! I hated, however, our noisy neighbors. They were children and were slamming doors the entire time we were trying to get some sleep. We didn't think calling would do any good as there was a party or gathering downstairs that didn't die down until 11 maybe? And that was about the time the kids quit slamming doors. I would recommend this hotel to friend's, but would not recommend a room on the corner that faces a hall/rooms on the opposite wall (that's what we had and why we were heard the slamming of doors) (Not to mention someone they knew was in the room next to us, so it was slamming on both sides of our walls)

I spent two nights in this hotel and most of my time was enjoyable. However, on my last day two men who were employees tried to break in to my room. They were attempting to pick the inside lock. I caught them and took their tool and told them to leave. I went and told the front desk, who relayed it to the manager. Their reply was someone in 354 asked for their room to be unlocked and they were at the weong room, I was in 254. Well I knew the person in 354 and they did not make any request and I told the front desk that as well. Their reply was that it must have been another room then but they didnt know which. This js unacceptable and they really need to consider these employees were up to something criminal or just incompetent at their job. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. Not worth risking life limb or property.

Room was spacious and nice, but the bed covers were kinda old and raggedy...

The hotel itself was really nice-looking, I loved the big open area with the overlooking balconies.

We had a staff member serve free drinks for our night event, and frankly, she sucked... All of her alcoholized mixed drinks were way off and tasted awful, but hey, free drinks :p

Overall the stay was good. Room was clean, breakfast was decent. However the reason for 2 stars is because of the WiFi wouldn't work for us and the clerk at the front desk during check in. My girlfriend went in to check in while I parked the car. While checking in the clerk kept blatantly hitting on her and hinting he should take her, to her/our room and "show her around" and made her feel very uncomfortable. Just very unprofessional.

Got to our "Non-smoking" room, smelt like someone had just got done smoking a full pack of cigarettes. Got another room, dirty with hair in the bathroom, on the toilet, around the tub and on and in the bed. Transfered to another room where ants were on the the sink and in the bathroom as well as hair on the bed sheets as well as in between the sheets and mattress. We stayed in that room since we were tired of playing musical rooms. We will seek a different hitel next we are in the area.

They had recently completed a big renovation, still have a bit more to go. I have been there before the change and WOW, what a difference! The rooms are GORGEOUS, the decor, the furniture, the materials, just beautiful. They have an excellent breakfast buffet (although they advertise it as a made-to-order breakfast) as well as an omelet station with a very entertaining chef. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and wonderful presentation. My only negative reviews would be the fitness room. While they have a few machines (one not working and for at least a month anger guest informed me), benches, free weights (yes!), weight/exercise balls and mats, the up keep for other things was lacking. Barely any towels my first day, next morning, the guy filled them in the late morning. Two empty baskets, which I can only assume were for complimentary earbuds (as most 3-4 star hotels have) were never filled. And the first day the disinfecting wipes were no where to be seen. Overall great experience, I would definitely return.
