ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed

• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Great hotel. The staff is wonderful. They did have a mixup and my room was made available later than expected. The employees were helpful and simply moved me to an available room. The wait staff at breakfast were helpful. My server was from Quebec. She had some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! Overall great experience so far.

This place looks like other Embassy Hotels I been to such as Chicago and Chattanooga. I love the managers reception and morning omelettes. The low rating was more of a personal experience. There was one issue after the next at this place. First the door key indicator wasn't working. I had to wait for someone to come fix it. Then there wasn't a luggage rack. I had to wait for someone to deliver one after asking twice. Sorry that I'm new to Hilton Honors and not familiar with the wifi process. However I promise that I can demonstrate some instructions if they are clearly illustrated somewhere about the room. The bedroom remote was not working so I used the one in the other room just to discover that the TV has these stupid horizontal lines like back in the 80's when it's too close to other appliances.

The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The food service staff waitresses were nice, especially the woman with the European accent. She went out of her way to help my family and we were really impressed with her service. She gets a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating. The housekeeping staff were terrible. When we got there we found makeup on a sheet , a hair bow beside one of the beds, the housekeeper we told about it acted as if she didn't want to be bothered, and we found Chinese food from a prior guest in our refrigerator. On day two my wife asked a housekeeper for wash cloths because the housekeeper took 4 but only brought back two. The housekeeper looked at her and said, "Lady, you are working my nerves." Then she tried to play it off and said, "I'm just playing. ". That was the most unprofessional and poor representation of a company I have ever seen out of from anyone in the hotel/customer service industry. If not for the front desk services and the awesome service from the lady with the European accent in food service, this hotel would have a completely "No Go" from me. If they can get there housekeepers in line, they could easily get a five star rating from me.

Clean rooms. Open spaces. Typical embassy suites. They had a great happy hour special which was great. Breakfast was amazing, and very impressive, one of the reasons I look forward to staying at embassy suites. The location is a little out of the way, which is good and bad. The television channel selection was rather poor.

Wonderful place to stay. Great service. They even changed our paid no refund reservation because it was made on wrong day. Clean beautiful place. Nice rooms. Great beds. Slept like babies. We were weary from driving for 10 hours.

Needless to say I did not enjoy my stay at this location. I was surprised at the upkeep. When you enter the carpet has a foul odor at entry and it's extremely soiled. The doors and glass are not clean as I'm accustomed to see at Embassy. The front desk was not organized at all! Then when I got to my first room it smelled like mildew so Tyler quickly reassigned me- thank you. My second room was much better. However, I had to ask 3 times for the snacks that should accompany a premium room stay. I also killed a spider in my room as well. I wasn't happy at this location at all. The breakfast cook was delightful so I want to be sure to mention them. And Chiquetta went out of her way to correct several things for me. I just wouldn't stay here again.

What I really like about this hotel is that the front desk staff stays in touch via text throughout the stay. They ask if everything is ok or if we need anything. This Embassy Suite is in a convenient location. We're really enjoying our stay so far.

Someone please order the build you own burger when you go! The service was amazing and the food was even better. My family enjoyed it so much and we were only there for one night. We are planning to go back soon. Plus it's really close to the Columbia Zoo.

Room was generously sized, mattress was nice & firm, hot water in the bathroom was very hot, & breakfast was very good (cooked to order omelets, good coffee). Bathroom was rather small & TV was cranky (one remote didn't work at all). Would stay again.

Front desk staff outstanding, Bar staff fair really miss the mark on this visit however I'll revisit on another day. Dinning area outstanding. Food was great too. Breakfast starts a little late on weekend 0700. Over all the it was a good experience for me. I'll revisit to see if bar staff is on it's game soon.

This is a great place for a conference or training event. Accommodations are exceptional. They have great chefs and friendly waiters and waitresses. Did a UV and BLACKLIGHT test on the sheets and blankets and it came up negative. Great job Embassy Suites.

Beautiful atrium. Tasty good spread of free breakfast, in a senic environment
Free happy hour what a bonus.
Great small gym. Necessary amenities in room. Microwave, fridge coffer maker.
Friendly staff
A random person approached my crew and stated was hungry she gave him her apple and 2 muffin + 1.00.
Nice pool
Seem family oriented, lots of kids

Absolutely Gorgeous. Very well maintained, fancy enough for formal engagements but still kid/family friendly. Pet friendly, but you couldn't tell because of how clean the rooms are. Indoor pool (not heated), work out room.

Customer Service was better than some 5 stars I have stayed at. From the staff that checked us in to the bar tender at the managers reception to the omelette chef at breakfast, to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly and professional. Even has a shuttle to anywhere within 5 miles, which includes the Walmart nearby.

Columbia, South Carolina location. Few small issues with the room, but nothing cleanliness related. The things that were done to make the room prettier (folding towels/napkins) were done a little sloppily. This didn't bother me, but I know others care about these little things. Service was great. Polite and very attentive. Texted that night to ensure satisfaction. Breakfast was a little disappointing. But not the worst I have had at a hotel.

Hotel somewhat dated but good value for $$$$ spent. Breakfast is outstanding but it was included in our convention rate so you should ask if included in your rate. Free cocktails in the early evening another great free add in.

The layout of the rooms are nice, but they need to update furniture. The door knob came off bed room door, did not want to closed , because I did not want to get lock in. The bathroom and the bedroom sinks knob came off. The breakfast was good, but the reception food in the afternoon sucks. The TV half way work, because at least 10 channels was fuzzy! My friends made reservation months ago for a double and when we got there they said they did not have a double bed.. and they did not accommodate..

Friendly staff. Good amenities in room and on site. They also have one of the best complimentary breakfasts which includes a short order cook right in the dining area ready to take your grill/egg order. I suggest trying a 6 egg white omelette with your choice of ingredients. Their main meeting/ballroom area is well equipped and large. They also have a secondary smaller meeting room called the Greystone room which is tailored for a more initmate or private atmosphere.

Very clean, quiet, and safe stay.
Stayed in room 522. Was the top floor end of hallway room. Very quiet room for sleeping. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom clean and well supplied with towels and Neutrogena products. Breakfast included and had a wide variety of foods and drinks. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. We arrived on St Patrick's night and there were lots of drunk people around. This is not the hotels fault but it still made my stay slightly less enjoyable which is why I gave it 4 stars

I have stayed here several times. The check on was efficient. We were on a "Premium Floor" but can't say it was different from anywhere else. There is what looks like a large wine stain in the middle of the carpet. Someone Apparently dropped a dinner tray in the hall outside my room mid afternoon. There were chicken bones on the floor until early the next day. Breakfast was hit and miss. One morning was great, one the large try of scrambled eggs was cold. When items emptied, no one refilled them. This visit was a disappointment.

We normally Love Embassy & rarely stay at a different Hilton property. However, the fold out bed had dirty sheets & there was an empty chip bag under it. Breakfast made to order was good, several things on the bar were old &/or cold.

Came as a bigger group. Rooms were still not ready at standard check in time. Claimed no rooms were avail yet. When do get some rooms the floors were all wet. From carpet cleaning. So had a wonderful wet dog smell to the wet carpet. Then got to hear the music and bump bump bass from 6pm till about 11pm right below in an alleged banquet. Staff was rude at our check in. I would not stay here again. Was here to sleep during the day. The only plus was the beds were comfy.

Took off with my spouse to Embassy Suites for a quiet and peaceful Christmas. All of the family were scattered this year and so we did a brief getaway. The staff were great. The accommodations very good and thankfully everyone visiting the hotel we're freindly. Enjoyed just relaxing during the evening social hour. Purchased some wings for a light meal and simply relaxed, enjoyed the staff and the guests. Couldn't have asked for a nicer and more peaceful, drama free experience. Our thanks to the great staff that found themselves working during Christmas.

The staff was very nice and friendly. I took 1 star away because this hotel is in need of a makeover. The bathroom has no vent which made showering like being in a sauna. Also, the bathroom is showing signs of moisture on the walls & floor.

Happy hour and breakfast were both great. The beds were comfortable. The TV should be replaced as it had lines through the screen.

It was not the same as other Embassy Suites. The only positive is the staff was friendly and helpful. We did not get any maid service while we were there. The hot tub has been filled in but the website still shows it is available. We were very disappointed with that. The pool area was gritty. The bathroom was much smaller than others and needed repair. For the money I would not stay here.

Had a very good experience here. Room is nice and spacious for our family of 4. Breakfast was plentiful as well. We weren't around for the evening reception but our understanding is they also have snacks and drinks then as well. Hotel is clean, they are renovating some areas, painting and have the pool shut down for complete renovation as well. I know some previous folks mentioned the pool issue. Looks like they listened and are taking care of it.

The visit did not start out great as we were told we could check in early as we had a funeral to attend at 3. Only 1 room was available and our group of 20 plus had to use hotel bathrooms and 1 room to get ready. Otherwise the stay was fine.

This use to be my favorite place to stay. Housekeeping cane into my room the away my brand new shoes boxes. I was returning the shoes to the store, next day. I got stuck with keeping the shoes. We had a wedding and the entire party stayed there. The hotel did nothing to solve the issue. The breakfast was not good like past times. Quality went down, I didn't eat my breakfast at all. I'm very disappointed in my stay here in Columbia.

I am here with my family and wish I could go for a swim but the pool is so disgusting, that I couldn't help but take a photo and video of it. I have never seen anything so gross. Its a damn shame that it is this dirty and the rooms are still so much money. It needs to be drained, disinfected, and then refilled. Nothing else will help. I wish I could share the video and photos I have. Never again will I come back here. Breakfast better be super impressive!!

The night we were there had a fire alarm issue. It was early in the evening, so not a huge panic situation for most folks. Seemed to be either a false alarm or someone had pulled the alarm. Fire department responded, all was well in the end.

Rooms are very spacious, as expected, and beds were comfortable. As always, the child we travel with enjoys finding the cookies in the lobby and exploring the gift shop.

I really enjoy staying here. Nice amenities and a well kept facility, though it will probably be due for a renovation in the next few years. Good restaurant and bar available. Great location for downtown activities. Literally less than a mile from Riverbanks Zoo. I'd almost dock them a star for the chlorine smell from the pool, but they win it back easily with their summer kids program. On Friday and Saturday evenings, they have child activities in the lobby for hotel guests. Basically a party with games, music, movies, crafts, and snacks.

It was the only hotel we found in the Hilton group that offered the accommodations we required for three children, my daughter and myself. Free breakfast was excellent as well as dinner. It is an older hotel and could use some updates in certain areas but offered clean linens and beds. I noticed behind the night stand needed some cleaning otherwise was fine. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, near to the zoo. We had a two-room suite. We especially enjoyed the evening manager's reception from 5:30-7:30pm (?). Nice buffet snacks including veggies, feta dip, tortillas, etc. as well as complimentary drinks from the bar. One of the nicest snack displays I've seen at an Embassy Suites

We really enjoyed out say and the facility is very close to the Zoo! Check in was very simple and easy and the rooms are clean. We had dinner at the hotel and was very impressed with the quality. It was clean and seemed well organized. I really liked that they had a bathroom located close to the conference room so we didn't have to go searching for it. The bathrooms were nice and clean. They were a little late bringing it but overall it is definitely a place we will utilize for future meetings

The only reason I didn't give a five star is because I didn't stay over night. I attended a church event with Emmanuel Church of Jesus Christ. The meeting room, lobby and our private dining room was awesome! The buffet item was fried chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, corn on cob, chop pork, mashed red potatoes, toss salad with all the trimmings, carrot cake and pecan pie. It was cooked to perfection and the staff was just amazing! Wish I live closer so I could have our church events there!

I am writing this as I spend my second night here. When our room was cleaned earlier today, the person who cleaned the room apparently took our used washcloths, but forgot to leave fresh ones. I called the front desk to ask for washcloths and I was told that the security person would try to locate some, I have to add that the front desk person wasn't very friendly when he said this. After about 25 min, I called to see if any washcloths had been located, I was told in an unfriendly and nonchalant way that none had been located. Fifteen minutes later, the security person brought me the washcloths, I told him thank you so much and I really appreciated it, he wouldn't look at me and didn't respond and just walked away with a frown on his face and seemed very irritated that he had to bring the washcloths. As a business owner myself, I am big on customer service, and overall, the customer service here has been very poor. I would have given 2.5 stars, but I decided to give a 3 versus a 2. The stay here wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't good either.
