ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

I liked the free drinks and stuff, but I am very familiar with Hilton's Brand Standards and this particular hotel doesn't even compare. Everything is broken and dirty. Looking down from the room balconies-over the "kitchen" area was COVERED in garbage. Both sets of laundry machines were out of order. And customer service needs an upgrade.

We can give it a three, but no more.

At first glance, it feels like a 4, maybe 4.5! But then you stay the night and notice how this place hasn't been treated well. Stained curtains, the bed was broken in many way, holes in my sheets, attitude problems with staff at breakfast, the pool is green! The hot tub is luk warm and has floaters in it... the list could go on.

The Embassy is a safe place to stay, but not much else. + they don't even list their prices online so good luck knowing what you are paying.

Really nice room. One of the better hotel beds I've slept in. Good breakfast. They really took good care of the big group I was part of that all stayed at the hotel and meet at a nearby church for a conference.

All the staff is very pleasant, and the rooms are clean. To me these 2 things are the most important! They also had cooked breakfast every morning and a snacks with drinks every evening, which is a nice perk.
If they had an outdoor seating area with tables & chairs, I would have gave them 5 stars.

Disappointed! The beds are smaller than advertised (but comfortable.) The mattress on the sofa bed sank in the center. The doors and trim could use some paint. Breakfast is awesome!

Hotel rooms need to be updated. Clean but worn. Couldn't get any normal channels on tv. Only weather channel and some sports channel. There were three elevators but only one worked. Ice machines didn't work. Had to go to bar to get a bucket of ice.
On a plus note. Had a great made to order complementary breakfast and a really good Salad with chicken for dinner. Food services did a wonderful job. We were in Detroit for the World Robotics Championships and there were several high school teams staying there. The Breakfast staff opened early for three days to accommodate these early morning guest. Kudos to the food service staff. Hopefully the hotel will do some updates soon.

I stayed at this hotel a few months.. I still get mad when I think about my experience.. the front desk staff was amazing!!! Especially Aubrey!! The breakfast and happy hour was pretty good. The housekeeping manager on the other hand, Awful! She ignored our request over the phone and to our face.. the worst part about our stay was the used condoms under the bed, the half eaten bag of chips behind a bench, pennies and pills on the floor!! I complained while I was there. Management promised me a refund.. well, I was refunded at first then 12 days later my card was recharged!! I have been fighting these charges since September (4 months ago) I even disputed the charges thru my bank the hotel told them “ property services were rendered “ I am still furious!!

My experiences with the Embassy Suites have been very enjoyable. GREAT Bar staff, remodeled rooms (extremely soft beds and pillows), and decent dinner prices. The breakfast is always good (excellent omelettes). They also have a manager's special, from 5-7, where the drinks are free.

Complimentary drinks for 2 hours and great service however not the best facilities. Everything was broken or breaking. Also the building was not that clean even though the rooms were. I'd visit again definitely because of the friendly staff and atmosphere. The bartender, the server, and the maids made the entire trip worth well.

As a diamond Hilton honors diamond member I'd say this is not what I'm accustomed to at a Hilton location. They've done some renovating but there's still a lot of work to be done. I've stayed here several times and every time it's the same thing. The ice machines are never working, there's always parties going on, and the bathrooms are out dated. On the other hand, the staff is great and the morning chef makes the best omelets I've ever had.

Nice hotel including rooms and cleanliness. Housekeeping did not replace our coffee daily and we could not control the AC in our room but it was comfortable so I didn't make a fuss. the breakfast was amazing and dinner was awesome just a little slow in bringing it to us. The staff during breakfast was top notch as was the food. It was far from everywhere so I would suggest renting a car if possible.

This location is far below the standards of Embassy Suites and what they offer at other locations. The rooms and public areas are in disrepair. Think of the best ES you have visited. If the staff came here their jaws would drop.

Choose another location until you see good reviews from this ES. I believe there are 1-2 others in Metro Detroit.

I have visited the embassy when it was the double tree suites. I have always loved it, but lately it has went down. I have been 3 times and each time the whirlpool has be broken. The main reason I choose this hotel. Also the happy hour has went down as well. The only thing left is the breakfast. I hope you guys don't change it as well. Your hotel will be just expensive with no amenities.

The restaurant is nice and updated, but the rest needs work. Rooms are somewhat dated, partially updated. Air conditioning wouldn't go low enough. They 2 treadmills with busted tvs, and the room smelled awful. The staff was great though. Convenient location too.

Newly renovated hotel, but I still have a few issues with it.

Bathroom: lighting isn't very sufficient. Something in the light fixture hums when the light is on. There isn't a single hook in the bathroom or surrounding area to hang a towel! I had to hang it on the back of the ironing board I had setup. The glass shower door was very difficult to slide open/closed (I felt like it was going to roll off the track).

The parking lot could also use some work. I hope it will be repaired at some point due to the large potholes.

Positives: great breakfast in the mornings, as always! Manager's Reception / happy hour is nice!

Pros: bed, decent free breakfast, and close to the interstate.

Cons: Parking lot looks like it was destroyed by bombs, the "free" beer is not so good if the bartender is rude and they only serve two kinds which didnt taste so great. It wouldve also been nice to know I was being charged for one of the beers after the time for the "free" ones had expired. Being charged $4 for nasty beer is "awesome".

The only highlights of my stay here was the breakfast staff, front desk staff, and the maids. ALL of them constantly were walking around asking if we needed anything else, how was our stay so far, etc. The aforementioned rude bartender, not so much.

Bottom Line: If you are looking for a good hotel (and are a Hilton Honors member like me), stay across the street at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Rooms are huge with sofa, plush chair, dinette with two chairs, fridge, microwave, king size bed, desk office chair and TV bored though bedroom and living areas. Manager's reception included nightly as well as a large impressive breakfast. One of my favorite chains to stay at!

The staff was absolutely wonderful. No complaints at all about the staff. They were the kind of staff that you wish for. Very very helpful and professional.
The hotel was subpar. The rooms smelled bad. Had to change rooms a few times because in one the window in the bedroom had plastic over it and the bedroom was cold. The window in the living room area was very dirty and the bathroom had a mildew smell. The toilet was vary low and the toilet paper was very far back that it made it difficult to reach. That was unpleasant. I've stayed there before and it was not that bad. The hotel really needs some serious overhaul and updates. I didn't really like the dining room. The booths were uncomfortable. The seating was too low compared to the table. That Seattle's Best Coffee was the worst coffee I've ever had. Had a very burnt taste.

Like other Embassy Suites they had a free happy hour and free cooked to order breakfast. Parking was free and the service at the hotel was excellent. I would definitely stay again.

Now having stayed here twice; aside from the typical amenities you would expect from an Embassy Suites, my expectations have been exceeded each time by the bartender, Stephanie. She's friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to speak to. She continued to go out of her way to make sure all guests were taken care of, regardless if they were at the bar, or sitting in the dining area. I continue to stay with Embassy Suites due to people like Stephanie, whom make staying away from home feel like I have never left. Thank you.

The room was overall pretty clean with a comfortable bed. The channel selection is not great and this is key because the WiFi is terrible! The staff is friendly and willing to help and accommodate. The managers happy hour is a great idea. Breakfast was solid with a guy manning the grille making cooked to order eggs, pancakes, and if course some great omelets. Caution on the elevators though, the glass in one is still broken and the others work at random with the stairs tricky to find and navigate.

Great rooms/suites so far, they are big and allow you to shut the noise from the inside of the hotel. You have a guest area, mini fridge, desk, two tvs, and a very spacious bathroom. The bed is super comfortable with a set of four double pillows. The dining area in the hotel is up to date with very classy furniture. The hotel does have a small gym area, but it is very small with a set of free weights up to 50 lbs only and three treadmills. There's also a pool, but is more for like recreational purposes. Overall Im giving a very good rating due to the location of the hotel and the room experience.

A friend and I stayed here for a few days recently. The staff was incredibly kind, available, accommodating, and friendly. At no point did I feel that they weren't doing everything they possibly could to help us. The building was under renovation, and on the first night there were mechanical failures on an entire floor. In spite of all this chaos, again, everyone I came into contact with associated with the hotel was gracious and professional. Highly recommended.

They're going through a bit if a interior and room reservation right now. I got placed into one of the rooms that haven't been updated and it's very apparent that the property was in need of an renovation. Bed is comfy, breakfast was tasty. Love the cook to order option. Internet is okay.

A couple things I liked, a couple things I hated. Right off the bat, I tried to make the reservation the old fashioned way. I called the hotel. The hotel transfers you to reservations. This is where the problem was. The reservations agent was so foreign, I could barely understand a word she was saying. I was trying to book a room on my company card. Apparently this requires a fax machine. They will email you the form, but you have to fax it back. My deal, who has a fax machine anymore? My business dropped the fax machine a couple years ago. Save the paper, send an email. I told this lady, I have no fax machine, what is my other options to get this form back to you? She says "fax machine". She was either ignorant or rude, but she kept saying "fax machine" over and over. Whatever. I canceled my reservation and booked it in seconds through Travelocity. Lesson learned, never call the Embassy Suites reservation line.
The hotel itself was under construction. It looks like the whole lobby is brand new. Though it is starting to look beautiful and well designed, the construction is LOUD. So loud, it wakes you from a dead sleep at 8:45 in the morning on your first day off in weeks. Thanks. Since the hotel is designed as an inside atrium, the loudness echos through the whole thing. They couldn't wait until 10 am? If you want to relax, this is not the hotel for you!
I did not try the breakfast. "Cooked to order" breakfast means you can get an omelet. There were maybe 3 other things on the menu. Oatmeal, fruit..blah.
The restaurant was over priced, but they do offer free cheese and carrots for two hours in the bar, along with free limited drinks. That was nice, and from what I saw, the food looked okay, but if I am going to be spending $25 a plate, it's going to be somewhere that fits the motif. Not a small hotel bar.
The pool area is also very small and loud.
The rooms are a nice size, and my was pretty clean, except the tile floors in the bathroom where slippery, greasy, yucky. Other than that, I liked the room. They have a small living area with couch and TV, a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and sink, and a separate bedroom with a view of...Southfield...
They had awesome hotel shampoo and conditioner which was a nice surprise.
The service here was awesome. All the employees were really nice and helpful.
The area is pretty lame. Not much to do around there, but shopping is only a 15 minute drive or so. I went to Joe's Bar close to the hotel, that was a pretty fun place and had great, cheap food. Ikea is not far and Dave and Buster's is close as well. There is stuff to do just up the freeway.
Overall, if you need a quick place to stay for work, Embassy would work. If you want a place to stay for a little personal get away or overnight, look somewhere else.
PS: The freeway is loud while you are in the room. I am used to this anyways, but if you hate the sound of the freeway, it surrounds this hotel, and is very noisy.
