The hotel is beautiful! Staff is friendly. Happy hour was amazing. They had a great selection! Breakfast was delicious there was lots to choose from. Great location to go see Astros games. The only reason I give it a four is because parking was $35 dollars. Also, housekeeping knocked on our door twice before 10:30am to see what time we were checking out.

We weren't even staying at this hotel (now that we know it's here we may in the future). Regardless, Ozzy graciously inquired about our comfort and need for assistance as we were standing outside. While not staying here, it is people like this gentlemen who make a difference. Too cool. Thanks Ozzy!

The location was great, staff was friendly, complimentary breakfast was decent, rooms were large and clean. Had one issue with the A/C in our room which is the deduction of a star. We informed staff but nothing seemed to be done about it and/or no communication about it. If you're planning to split a room as a non couple I would not recommend personally as bathroom door is a barn style slider door and doesn't close all the way. There is a separate door splitting bedroom and living room/suite area though.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Nina was very professional and friendly upon check-in. Hotel staff, "all of them" were helpful and very pleasant. They all deserve recognition. The Rooms are clean, with plenty of towels and toiletries. Pool was clean and very nice. Breakfast was the best. Room service was great. I would recommend this hotel and I WILL come back. Location was perfect. Within walking distance to all downtown Arenas, the park, shopping and Restaurants.

Never have a bad time when ever I go to an embassy suite hotel. The best why to describe this hotel is it's the working class hotel. Great service, great rooms, and all without breaking the bank. Everytime I go on vacation I will always look up the nearest embassy suite.

We just stayed for 5 days while my husband was on a work trip. Great location, walking distance to lots of fun attractions for our kiddos plus they have a complimentary shuttle for anything within 1.5 miles. Rooms were nice, my only complaint was the sliding glass bathroom door didn’t give much privacy. The staff was EXCELLENT and were extremely helpful for our entire stay. Very nice to my kids and helpful to me trying to juggle to two kids! Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for a few nights during a recent trip to Houston. It's conveniently located a block away from the House of Blues and a ton of other great downtown attractions.

The rooms are suite style so there is a living room with a TV and pull out couch, a little bar/kitchen area, and a bedroom. The bed is super comfy, the mattress isn't too soft or hard. The bathroom has a sliding door and is separate from the bedroom, which is nice so you don't wake up your partner in the middle of the night or morning. One complaint I did have about the room is that the AC didn't seem to work in the bedroom itself. We put it down to 65 and the living room was freezing but we were still hot in the bedroom. We had to sleep with the bedroom door open in order to keep the room semi-cool.

The best part about this hotel is the free nightly happy hour. From 5-7, there is a bar with free drinks(well liquor and a select amount of beer) and appetizers (chips and salsa, potstickers, etc). Really you can drink or eat to your heart's content and not have to pay a dime so bring some cash to tip the bartender for all her hard work.

The second best part about this hotel is the breakfast. This isn't your typical Texas shaped waffles and cereal breakfast bar. There are options to have hot breakfast (bacon, eggs, and sausage), or you can go to the omelette station and have the cook whip something up for you. There are also pastries and cereal off to the side for those who prefer a lighter breakfast.

I will say that the housekeeping comes by fairly early to clean the rooms. After our first night there, we wanted to sleep in but the housekeeper came around 10 am and then again around 11 to clean. I assumed she'd come by later in the day but when we returned to our room that night, the bed wasn't made and the dirty towels were still waiting to be picked up. The next day, we were sleeping in again (I mean we were on vacation!) and we missed her so we had to ask the front desk to send someone up as we were running out of clean towels. Thankfully, when we got back that night, everything was clean and in order.

I will defnitely be staying that this hotel more often when we visit Houston.

The hotel is great. Great location. Very friendly and caring service by Elisabeth. The room locks didn’t work and it was impossible to enter the room. Elisabeth moved us to the next room and gave us an additional free night. How great is that! The rooms are very big. Houston attractions within walking distance. Came with car and parked for free not far from the hotel.

Rooms looked amazing. Service was mediocre.

1st room we had, the heater was not working. Not too bad as I arrived late and the blankets were very warm.

Made a 2nd reservation and had to change room types. No big deal.

Let me be clear: I realize early check-in isn't guaranteed.
The lady at the front desk when I checked out of my 1st room said I could come back around noon to check into my new room.

I called the hotel around 1PM asking if it was ready. The agent informed me he would "call me when it's ready."

It is now 2 pm. No call from front desk and I have still not been checked in. Front Desk male agent made minimal effort to contact the Housekeeping department after I approached the desk and finally asked him what the hold up was.

All while I'm waiting, big groups of people are coming in to check in (before 3 PM standard check in time) with no problems at all.

I approached him again 5 minutes later seeing if housekeeping had followed up with him. He told me he'd "talk to them".
I'm sitting here watching him not make any phone calls.

The General Manager even saw me sitting in the lobby multiple times (with not the best expression on my face) and never asked me if he could be of assistance.

I work in hotels. This is a basic customer service issue that is extremely easy to resolve, seeing as I deal with early check-ins all the time.

Love Embassy Suites but won't be returning here. Completely set back my day by about 4 hours. Clearly there's a communication issue among the staff here.

My family and I came into town for a weekend of touring the city. We had the pleasure is staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. The room comfortably held our family of 5. My husband and I enjoyed the bar and dining downstairs as well. The breakfast to be made by order was delicious too.

Very nice hotel as all Embassy Suites are. 3 stars for many reasons but to name a few:
1. Accidently left my jacket in the room. I called shortly after my departure from the hotel to let them know and they said to speak to House keeping. Called House keeping several times and finally got a response several days later only to ask for more info. Info was given and never heard back. Called again several times and left voicemails. No call back. Finally called to speak to Management and finally got a call back from house keeping almost a week later only to be told that it was not found. I call BS because I know 100% that it was left.

2. Lack of professionalism from the front desk. Not very welcoming.

Positives:
Very clean.
Very professional Bells Men! When I arrive was awesome and very courteous.
Close to everything

Although not a bad place, I would never stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was amazing. The hotel is nice and quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. I did not have a park view room but I still enjoyed the view of the other buildings in the area. The breakfast was great as there were many hot options as well as drink options. The dinning area was very welcoming. We sat next to a window and enjoyed the view while we ate our breakfast. I took my daughter ice skating for her birthday and the location was perfect. We were right across the street to Discovery Green Park.

Update after completing 6 nights: lots of issues like the complementary shuttle is a LIE. Every time we asked for it in our 6 night stay, they made a lame excuse and not available.
Cleaning staff for room service was very rude at times with no knowledge of speaking English.

Great value for the money; the location is right in the middle of downtown. Next to Discovery green park. Nice place to walk and relax in evening. I am a huge fan of their complementary breakfast and evening reception. Frontdesk staff is responsive and cooperative. In general servise is good, but at times the rooms were not cleaned properly. We are here for 6 nights, and hotels atmosphere is congenial. We had an issue with our door lock after we checked in... staff changed our room immediately. Food staff are very kind and serves calmly.

We stayed here during Hurricane Harvey and let me tell you, the staff was amazing! Because this was such an unprecedented and disastrous event, the hotel's staff was short-handed but that did not impede them from making sure we were comfortable and made us feel like family. We had to extend our stay because of Harvey and the hotel honored our original lower booking price through our extended nights, this was such big help since we were not expecting to stay so long! The breakfast is great, especially the made to order eggs/pancakes! You also can't beat the Happy Hour that is included for all guests, everyday! Those drinks were much needed during Harvey let me tell you! Special shout out to Gerard! He was so wonderful during our stay and we will most likely come back just to hang out with him :) Overall, a great experience for us!

Breakfast is among the best I've had at any major hotel chain. If you plan to attend happy hour plan on arriving early. My only qualm is that over our two night stay we had to get our room keys replaced four times. We had to call twice to get the bathroom restocked.

They have a happy hour with two free drinks and free snacks on Saturdays from 5-7:30 PM. I really appreciated this, and it was a good start to a fantastic evening. I shared a suite with some friends and slept on the fold out couch. It was comfortable for a fold out. My only real gripe is with the bathroom "door". Our door was just a sliding door without a latch, so that made going to the bathroom awkward for some.

Just when I thought I had stayed in the best Embassy Suites in another part of Houston, this location raised the bar.
Centrally located to shopping, the sports arena and the convention center. The hotel is beautiful, views are spectacular and the staff is friendly. My room was huge, the bathroom and shower space was clean, and modern with a huge shower.
Food was excellent as well, both at happy hour and breakfast. And their was a wide variety. The drinks weren't watered down either.

If I had kind complaint it would be to upgrade the toilet paper. Though two ply it was hard!

We stayed here because of its proximity to Minute Maid park, which turned out to be a wise decision. It's an easy walk to the stadium. Accommodations were good. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The noise level was quiet. The interior seemed new and fresh. Breakfast was included and pretty good. The selection of hot and cold stuff was solid. The quality of the food left a bit to be desired. It also got really crowded with long lines, so get there early. Staff was generally good. Check in and check out were smooth. We tried to get dinner recommendations and were either given bad directions or good directions to a place that doesn't exist. Most dining options were pretty spread out and it's not the most pedestrian friendly downtown. Parking was not good. It's valet only and when we arrived the entire valet area was full. We had to wait in the road before a spot cleared up. They did not have enough people working. Overall we'd stay here again, especially if we are going to a game. The price was reasonable and the location was its best attribute.

Had a sour experience from the start. Was told at check-in that the pillows I requested (down free) due to a feather allergy was honored. I get to the room...you guessed it feathers in the pillow. I dropped off said pillow at the front desk. I also let them know I was not satisfied with the wrong information.... The staff in other areas (breakfast staff, room cleaning staff, valet parking staff that drove us places) did a great job and that is what makes me leave a good star rating. Mostly because this was my first stay with Embassy Suites- I usually stay Marriott family. The fact that I never got in touch with management to find out about the pillow situation has me thinking that they pervceive this as not a serious issue. I am super glad that no allergic reaction and hospital trip made this a serious issue for the hotel team. Next time in the area... Marriott - you will be called upon!
Respectfully,
Bryan

Great. Clean space with the decor and comfort Embassy Suites is known for. This would be 5 stars but the pool was small for the number of guests the hotel accommodates. Also, our room had a shower only instead of a tub. The shower is very spacious and clean. The suite features an attractive and comfortable wrap around couch in the living room. Our party of three had plenty of space.

Had a fantastic time at the embassy suites this last weekend. Was sharing a room and in town for wedding related activities. The room had a great layout, super comfortable furniture and the view of downtown Houston was great. We went to the restaurant downstairs which was delicious. The location was also great for heading out in downtown for a night out. I would definitely stay there again. A few notes, the bathroom had a barn style sliding door which looked interesting, but had no latch or locking. The complimentary gift basket if dried fruits and treats was a nice touch, but putting all the food on top of sprouts was a little odd. Otherwise everything was phenomenal.

Came to check in at 3 am. Paid $296.23 for a room, just wanted to sleep and get back on the road to Dallas. The manager at the front desk was helpful, from desk attendant was rude.. took them 20 minutes to check me in. By the time I got to the room ready to sleep.. it was DIRTY. They sent me to a dirty room, dirty towels.. empty champagne bottles.. the bed wasn't even made. I honestly thought someone was in it. Still at check out waiting to be check into another room.. it's beautiful hotel.. but for $300 a night I'd expect it to be a little more professional. Manager seemed surprised I asked for a discount. Ha.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around...

Overall, very good.

Room was clean, well furnished, up to date, and cold.

Valet was a bit pricey, but worth it.

The comp breakfast was a great send off / way to start the journey back home. The comp thing in the afternoon, my personal advice is go about 30min after it starts to avoid the rush. The Harpoon beer was great, with some citrus and a very good overall flavor.

Happy hour every night was awesome. Free drinks, just tip the bartender:) Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and very classy. Very convenient to most downtown hot spots. My only complaint is their is not free parking. But most all hotels downtown have parking meters.

My wife and I love going to the embassy. They have the best breakfast(complimentary) and amenities(pool, gym, evening snacks and drinks) that also are complimentary. And all at a great price.

It was decent. I would choose this over the Icon again but would choose others over it. We were going to stay at the Hilton but it had an event and was booked full. The staff was nice and the free breakfast and cocktails are decent. The shuttle service is awesome and they guy was super nice and knowledgeable. The decor is hideous and the walls are thin so at 1am some people came back from partying and kept me up half the night. And yes the bathroom having a sliding door kinda sucked it's basically like there isn't a door there big gap all the noises come out and it's see through.

Great location walking distance from Minute Maid Park and a variety of restaurants. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and polite. Great pool and complimentary breakfast, drinks and snacks were a big hit with the family. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay downtown.

I've stayed here over 50 nights this year and never had a problem. The rooms are always quiet and staff is professional and friendly. I like it better than the Hilton next door because it's smaller & I don't have to walk all over the hotel to get to my room.

I wish the restaurant downstairs (Hearsay on the green) was as good as the main Hearsay Lounge on the other side of downtown but i guess that's not the hotel's fault.

I stay here regularly and consider them to be one of the best hotels in downtown Houston (and I have stayed at several). All the rooms are very quiet since the additional living room insulates you from the hallway. The breakfast is awesome, like all Embassy Suites, as well as the evening snacks and drinks! They are also now doing a good job at upgrading Diamond members to the corner rooms without request which is the way it should be done!

Great staff at the front desk. The bar/happy hour was the best of the previous embassy suites I have stayed at. Breakfast was wonderful. Stayed on the top floor and had an amazing view. Will be back at this specific location very soon!!

Other than a lack of decent parking, the hotel was very nice. Everyone who worked there was both cheerful and helpful. The hotel accepts dogs, which was a must for me. The room I had was big and clean. Breakfast was great. It felt like home away from home. I was very happy with the whole experience.

If I had to nickpick, I would add that the focets were either blasting and spraying all over the place or off. Getting to any in-between state was "hard" (aka, not something I'd consciously think about before turning it on). The bathroom door was a sliding door and would hit the door frame if you tried to close it all the way (push the bottom of the door to close it all the way). The shower curtain didn't seem to do it's job very well and water got all over the floor. Lastly, I've never had to ask for a toothbrush before, so I don't have much to compare with... but the toothbrush they gave me when I asked for one at the counter was hilariously odd and cheap.
