I visit Huntsville once a year and have always stayed at the Embassy Suites. This year was a let down for my wife and I. First, there were two blown light-bulbs in our bathroom. That's half the lights. One would think they would catch those things. Next, we could never get air to blow out of the vents in the front part of the suite. Even the maintenance person who came up on Saturday morning said he couldn't fix it. Not sure whey. Saturday evening the lights when out which was not their fault. Sunday morning there was only one working elevator. Long waits and caused issues getting over to our convention and set up on time.

My family loved the indoor pool! However...the room was hot...in the middle of summer. They came and put in another ac unit but it was still hot. I gave them time to take care of the issue and nothing was done.

Very inviting bar area! Staff was very warm and friendly made you feel like you where a long time friend, but very professional at the same time. Drinks were made and served quickly considering it was a busy time of day. Will definitely visit again!!!

The location is great, the room was fine, and the price was acceptable for what we got with the premium room. My three star rating is primarily related to the experience we had at check in/out. We waited for at least 45 minutes to check in. There was a line out the door—something I’ve never seen at a hotel. Granted, there was a major music act performing that night. Still, a hotel this large should have a better plan in place to handle check ins for these situations. We also had to wait to check out on a Sunday morning because there was only one person working. Because of the check in/out process, it is highly unlikely we will stay there again.

My experience was just okay.

Highlights: Spacious Rooms, breakfast buffet and made to order breakfast, friendly staff.

Lowlights: Dirty appearing pool (we swam 1 night out of 3, too cloudy/dark), hot tub smelled strange, rooms were dated and tired looking, not enough towels for 4 people upon arrival, dirty sheets upon arrival, asked to be near family when making reservations, they could not accommodate upon arrival, manager's special was out of food before end of stated time.

Not a horrible experience, just not a best for me. Will not stay again. We mainly came for the indoor pool and left disappointed.

Friendly, helpful staff, and well laid out hotel. The room was clean, and spacious. The door locks have been updated since my last stay. The lock on my room malfunctioned, not allowing me into the room. The staff on duty that night were able to get the door open for me, though.

Nice room. Got there at check in time and it took over 30 minutes for them to locate our room. Got a drink at the bar and there was a lot of large debris in my beer. It looked like cotton. Waited 30+ minutes for shuttle to pick us up at a local restaurant. We ended up calling Uber and it was there in 2 minutes.

My wife and I stayed in a king suite for 2 nights over a weekend. I would say most of my comments on the stay are negative but there are some positives. I'll go into those first.

PROS: great location, good breakfast, friendly staff
The location was perfect, hardly 3 minutes from downtown Huntsville and very close to the multiple venues we needed to go to for the event we were there for. It's close enough to hop on the highway too should you want to head out of town but not so close that you listen to cars all night. As for the breakfast it was cooked to order and included in the cost of the room. It was a buffet style serving set up however they did have a made-to-order omelette and pancake station. Overall the selection and food quality was much higher than your average complimentary hotel breakfast. Unfortunately we had several issues during our stay (see "cons") which necessitated me interacting with staff on numerous occasions. However, despite the issues all of the staff I spoke with were very nice, pleasant, and for the most part helpful.

CONS: collapsed bed, broken toilet, poor cleanliness
We had a couple issues during our stay the first related to our bed. The right side of our king bed had collapsed somewhat causing a fairly dramatic decline from about the middle of the bed to the edge. We only realized this after coming in late the first night and I was unable to figure out what was causing the problem. The poor cleanliness is more due to the other guests than the hotel. A lot of half finished plates of food (still with food on them) were placed on the floor outside of the room doors for pickup. I assume housekeeping was short staffed as most of the plates (as well as empty glasses and used rags/towels) just stayed there on the floor all day lining the halls. In the early morning of our second day we discovered that the toilet in our room for some reason had no pressure and though it would drain, it would do so slowly without taking much with it. Considering the nature of the issue and that it was doing this before anything was flushed down by us I would assume it was an issue with the pipes and/or water flow. Nevertheless that didn't keep maintenance from simply plunging the toilet and declaring it fixed, it wasn't. Around noon as we were leaving I complained again that the problem had not been fixed in hopes that it would be by the time we got back. However later that evening we discovered that not only had the problem not been fixed but there was no evidence that maintenance had even stopped by. Upon calling the front desk at midnight to complain for a 3rd time they informed me that no one could come up as maintenance was gone for the day. Figuring that something was better than nothing I asked for a plunger so we could at least deal with any immediate issues if needed. I was informed that hey could not locate a plunger and instead offered to move us. It being close to 1 am at this point I preferred to stay where we were seeing as we'd be checking out the next morning. As an alternative they gave us the key to a nearby room so that we could use that toilet instead.

All around not a good experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be making other accommodations next time I visit.

Everything you expect from an Embassy, at a reasonable price.

They took great care of me. When I discovered my car had run over a nail, the staff pumped up my tire and helped me find a place to repair it. I was back on the road in thirty minutes.

Good experience. We asked for some extra towels, and let the front desk know that the coffee maker in our room was not functioning. They were very quick to respond and replaced it. Embassy is a great choice when traveling because the breakfast is included in the price of the room, and there is an evening reception every night with free food and drinks. Plus the layout of the hotel is mostly uniform across different locations, which is nice if you travel to a lot of different cities. It adds a little bit of familiarity, and I like that when out on the road.

David projected the best hospitality everything. Thanks David. I was disappointed with having to look at and inhale mold in the shower for two nights. I was promised over and over that someone would come. The last night when I walked in and David who I was surprised remembered me and called my name out and asked how was I enjoying my stay. I told him the name of the person who came and took pictures so did I and the promises. He said wait right here. Called someone right then and there waited then told him to personally go up stairs and handle the situation and he did. Whatever he did the mold slowly faded away. Why couldn't that be done when I first asked the other person.

This is the most AWESOME Hotel that I have ever stayed in.
The staff are EXCEPTIONALLY helpful and kind.
The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and maintained.
The hot water was actually HOT as long as I had the tap going or had the shower spicket going.
The breakfast that was included in the price for the room was WONDERFUL: one can have custom made omlettes, deliciously crisp french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, HOT syrup, real butter, hot coffee, 100% genuine orange juice, cold 2% milk that tastes MUCH BETTER than Vitamin D milk, a variety of reasons to choose from (but no decaf when we were there), pop ("soda"/"soda pop") of various flavors, etc...

You may go online to compare prices, but we found the best price straight from the main desk when we called them.

There is so much more that I can not find the words for right now, but it's definitely worth all that we paid for our two day stay.

Staff are quite friendly. Rooms are as good as any other hotel. TVs are frustratingly slow with no menu and spotty remotes. Internet let's you sign in for up to 7 days in a row. Free breakfast is pretty good. Location is impeccable regarding being downtown.

The staff was nice. Especially the bartender at the manager's evening reception. Very friendly and professional even when very busy. The rooms were well kept. Acceptable amenities. Very good location adjacent to the Von Braun Center and walkable to all of Downtown Huntsville.

April 6-8, 2018..I have stayed here several times. Each time has been great. The rooms have a door that separates the bedroom from the sitting room which I prefer. They have a manager's hour between 5pm and 7:30pm, which are appetizers and free drinks. The breakfast was great and the omelet chef was awesome, preparing 5 to 7 omelets at one time, while making pancakes at the back of the griddle.

We had a wonderful time here. The staff is incredible, and David U. was great on our arrival and departure. If you are a loyalty member, I love that I can pick my own room through the app. This hotel also provides digital keys which is always handy. We also decided to eat dinner in their restaurant, The R. I'm glad we did because once again the staff was such a pleasure, and the food was delicious. The Grilled Ceaser Salad is a must and is large enough to be an entire meal itself. Looking forward to returning when we are out that way again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The biggest problem was the reception staff. I was the 10th patron in line and it took over an hour to check in. There was staff at 3 of the 4 kiosks but only one was working. At the other two staff was conversing with other staff but accomplishing nothing. I travel a lot and can't remember front desk staff less interested in getting the job done. There seemed to be a manager there (dressed in a dark suit) but he made no effort to get the staff more involved. I was angry and disappointed along with the other guests in that line. If you stay there expect a decent room with great breakfast but hope you arrive at a non busy time.

Room was great and so was the made to order breakfast. Housekeeping was a little lax on two of the days that we were there. The biggest issue I had was they dipped into my account on 5 separate occasions during my stay and I could not get an answer from anyone there on as to why that had happened. And I don't mean this was like a rented movie fee one of the withdrawals was for over 500 dollars at 1 am. I will not be back again customer service there was no help and I don't know about your but I don't like people messing with my money when they shouldn't be

Hotel room was average for the cost. Have to pay for self parking. Front desk staff are too busy socializing so you're on your own if you need help. Breakfast was extensive & those staff were constantly circulating and offering help. Pool is tiny and the water is an odd color, but it's indoor, along with a largish hot tub. They ran out of towels and new ones never appeared even though they were informed by several people over the hours.

The hotel is lovely and you get a huge room for a pretty decent price. But the manager isn't even aware of the hotel policies, much less willing to enforce them. There are FOUR "front desks", but you'll have to wait ten minutes to speak to an employee because there's only one person on duty. There are multiple weddings this weekend, but the staff seems completely unprepared to deal with more than one guest at a time. I would recommend the hotel itself, but you should probably go elsewhere if you want any services other than a clean bed in a nice room.

The staff and service are extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms are neat and clean and are well managed by Room Service. The location is a little out of the way and may be somewhat confusing for those who are not residents of Huntsville, but because it is not on a main road, traffic is never bad and it is easy to enymter and exit the hotel. The only downside to this is when there are large events booked. The elevators tend to get slow during these times and you may wait quite a while to be able to catch one, but this does not diminish the experience. Great place to stay.

As always with Embassy Suites this location didn’t disappoint! Great service from checkin til checkout. The breakfast was superb and the guest rooms were spotless. The indoor pool is really nice if you have kids and the gym was really good for a quick workout.

Pretty nice place! The free breakfast was awesome--definitely go for the omelette made to your specs. The rooms were also great, rooms very clean, comfy. Next I'll know to ask for a room on the "park side" because it has a much better view. Staff was great and didn't have any issues.

Nice rooms but they seem to need updating. We had to pay $6 a day to park in the hotel parking lot! I've never had that happen at any hotel in a town like Huntsville. Maybe in a big city. That's like paying to use the bathroom! The breakfast was good. Plenty of options.

Nice and roomy. Clean rooms. Appreciate the breakfast and the manager meet and greet. All the times we stay we are going to functions at the Civic Center and it makes it extremely convenient. We did have a problem with the room not being thoroughly cleaned but when brought to the attention of the hotel staff it was remedied immediately. Always friendly.

Excellent greeting by very nice associate. Made me feel welcomed. Manager's Reception was OK - very long line with the lady working very hard to move it along. Another bartender just doing beer and wine would have helped tremendously. Better snacks would be nice. Room is sufficient but a but worn and dated. Breakfast was good. Workout room is OK - dumbbells, a couple of treadmills, a bike, two benches, and a fitness ball. Would be nice to have a compound machine with a chin-up bar.

My company rented a suite for a series of private demos at a major industry symposium. The hotel is well located downtown, adjacent to the Von Braun Center, and near plenty of great restaurants. The lobby and common areas were attractive and well-kept, and the room was very clean and nicely furnished for our demo. The conference seats provided were a bit lightweight, narrow, and a bit wobbly. We were also charged $20 for a basic VGA cable, which turned out to be only 5 feet long, and was received after over an hour of waiting and several calls inquiring when it would be brought to us. However, these were minor concerns, and I still highly recommend this location to other companies or visitors to Huntsville.

This is a very nice hotel, our room is everything I could ask for, and the complimentary things that come along with it are very nice. Free drinks in the early evening, and pretty nice breakfast every morning. My only issue has been we didn't receive the proper amount of towels when we checked in, but that was worked out. Here for it family reunion, and it's been enjoyable

Central location with easy access to downtown and the Spring. Elevators were great fun for the kids because of the open view of the hotel atrium. Breakfast omlette chef was great, and there were a lot of choices for other items, but the waffles weren't that good; floor in the buffet area was a little sticky. Rooms had a really nice layout and ample space, but the carpet in the rooms was wavy in places and one of the two mattresses was uneven. Wifi was slow at times. Pool area was really nice and bright. Overall we were very pleased and would return.

The rooms were spacious and clean. There was a complimentary bar and snacks each night from 5:30 to 7:30. The breakfast was great with omelettes, pastries, pancakes, and more. The ambieance of the hotel was nice, with a gorgeous and spacious lobby. The hotel sits right next to a large park with a pond and stream. My only dislikes were that my mini fridge tripped the circuit twice during my stay(spoiling some food I had) and the pool reeked of chlorine, almost to the point of ma king me sick.

If you need to stay somewhere in Huntsville, make it here. The hotel is attached to a beautiful park and is right downtown. The museum is close, and there are restaurant coices close by. The room was clean. The pool was nice. The only real issue was that they couldn't keep the pool stocked with towels for everyone.

Hotel is nice, but we had a rough stay. Room was not ready on time. Front desk took our phone number to call us when the room was ready, but never called. Several guests had this happen and we weren't in our rooms until several hours after check in time. Pool was also closed during our visit. In general, the staff were nice and tried to be accommodating, but they seemed unaccustomed to dealing with being fully booked.

Our room was very nice, spacious, clean... we loved it! I've never been to a hotel that had a welcome reception with drinks and snacks that was complimentary, that was a nice touch. It was very busy when we were there, but all of the staff were friendly and working their tails off to help everyone and keep public areas clean and presentable. Well done by all! I would highly recommend, and we will be back on our next trip to our through Huntsville!

Very satisfied! I'd definitely stay here again. There were multiple events/groups here during our stay, but we didn't hear a thing even though we were right by the elevators. The room was very clean

This is everything I expect from a Hilton family hotel. Spacious rooms, above the top service. Hot breakfast. Drink service in the evening. And the best steakhouse in America is in the lobby! If you're in town for business, or pleasure, you'll be glad you stayed here!!

Clean, friendly staff, good food. Great manager's daily social. I don't agree with the $6 00 nightly parking fee and the "not responsible for your vehicles nor valuables" policy. ..then why are you charging me to park at your hotel that I'm paying to reside :-(

Service and staff very helpful and friendly. Sofa sleeper uncomfortable to sit in as well as sleep on. Time for a new one. Beds are 50/50 in comfort. Room mostly clean had a strange smell in one room...neither housekeeping freshner or store bought air freshener could get rid of smell had to switch rooms. Carpets could use deep cleaning throughout hotel.

This hotel is awesome. I would recommend it to for anyone who wants a hospitable and professional experience. The staff is awesome. The room was very clean. The location is so convenient to civic center.

Typical of Embassy Suites brand with great free breakfast and large spacious rooms. The basic free internet is a bit slow with an option to pay for faster speeds. The TV channels were very sparse and looked to be lower def despite the newer television. Parking is $6 per day but does include the option for a gated underground garage. Overall still a very nice place to stay.

The hotel was very busy due to the marathon but they never missed a step. Check in was seamless, probably the best check in we've ever had. Room was very nice and quiet. Bed was not the most comfortable (very soft).

The manager's reception was good. Snack choices were only so-so but drinks were good and plentiful (as long as you didn't mind standing on line). The included breakfast was also very plentiful but crowded. The hotel was undergoing reno of the breakfast area so perhaps that will be remedied.

Only real complaint was the very poor wifi. Supposed to be included but reception in the room was very sporadic. According to management problem was with at&t, according to at&t the problem was with the hotel.

Overall very good stay. Front desk and staff overall were extremely pleasant and helpful.

We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is located next to the civic center, making it a great place to stay if you are attending events, or concerts. The enclosed walk way which connects the two together is a plus, keeping you out of the weather. The staff is courteous, check in was a breeze, and the rooms were great.

The line to check in was long. About 20min. There were quiet a few carpet stains in my room. All in all though, it was a good place. The breakfast was prenominal. The staff very friendly.

Very sorry to say that this excellently situated hotel has some fatal flaws-

1. Essentially no Internet service. Yes, Internet connectivity is so slow as to be useless. This is my second stay here in two years and the problem has still not been remedied.

2. Novices at the front desk. Apparently everyone at the front desk is a newbie. No knowledge of restaurants in downtown Huntsville (there are only 4-5 restaurants to know) or help with getting packages expedited (FEDEX/UPS) in/out of hotel. Very friendly, but not helpful at all.

3. A musty/stale smoke smell in the rooms. I am not the only one in my group who experienced this. It is ubiquitous. This place needs a good deep cleaning or replacement of carpets, window treatments etc.

4. On the positive side, the bedding is comfortable.

Room was great - spacious and comfy. Check in was seamless. Areas to improve - better fitness area. A machine with a pull up bar would be nice. Evening reception could be better run. One night no wine for 90 mins. Another night ran out of snacks after an hour and no one replenished. Also, made a suggestion (moving smoking area away from front door) to a front desk associate and it was completely rebuffed. Probably will stay somewhere else next time in town.

Shuttle service from airport to hotel and back as well as from my training venue was fantastic. Rooms were spacious and nice. The gift shop varied a phone charger...which I found that I needed. Overall a very good experience.

We were visiting the park and I had to take my little girl to the potty. They were so kind and nice by letting us use theirs. It was very clean and very much appreciated.

Super comfortable beds. Great breakfast in the morning. Incredibly beautiful hotel interior and grounds. Wifi isn't free though.. Why is it the more expensive a hotel is, the more likely the wifi is paid only? Definitely a huge flaw that would have strongly affected the enjoyment of my stay if I would have had to get online and didn't want to use up too much mobile data.

Great rooms, spacious with fridge and microwaves. Very close to downtown area. Ask the front desk for bicycles, they have them for guest use for free!

Free manager's reception was nice, too.

The room was really nice. Only stayed one night. The room service food was just ok. We ordered a burger and a pizza. The burger was awesome. The pizza not so much. The room service needs to be more respectful of their guests because we were all sleeping and she woke us up in the bedroom which is the second room within the suite. Also, the complimentary breakfast was not great. I did not try the cook to order because the line to order was absolutely ridiculous. But I'm pretty sure it had to be good considering the wait time. If I had to stay in the hotel again I would definitely put the do not disturb sign on the door. Also, the curtains in neither one of the rooms would close all the way.

Unnecessarily "Expensive" No wifi unless u buy & that price is expensive also. "It's not even n a nice visible area..." Rooms or furniture & beds updating, renovation Time passed at this place. Free breakfast is tasteless even the so called cook is igrnorant to seasoning but this is alabama. Businesses aren't being ran like they use too, not professional nor helpful. "But very expensive" We do have other choices so go look. Ijs...

Room was exactly what we booked. The temperature inside the room was too cool for my taste and we could not locate a thermostat anywhere. The continental breakfast was awesome and had plenty of choices. Environment was clean and staff was very friendly and professional.
