ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

We stayed 3 nights for our vacation. The lobby is very nice and the happy hour is a nice bonus. The rooms are fairly up to date other than the bathrooms which could use some updated fixtures. When we arrived we noticed the housekeeping had missed cleaning up a towel used by the previous guests, but we didn't complain. Had an issue with the toilet in our room so they moved us to another room close by so they could fix it. We didn't ask to be moved but they offered it which was courteous. Overall we would stay here again.

Room was good overall. Nice beds and new bathroom. Floor and couch had stains. Breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel. All the employees were very friendly

We stay at an Embassy no matter what city we visit and this location did not disappoint. The front desk agents were very nice, professional and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room was clean. This is an older location and could use some upgrades but it still deserves 5 stars. I definitely recommmend this location.

Fantastic hotel! Everything was top notch, clean, and well maintained. This was not your typical hotel stay. The staff was amazing, the managers reception was great, the service was quick and super friendly. The pool limit was 5 which was strange, but not an issue. This was a very nice place to stay, the cost did not match the accommodations! The breakfast the next day was great and they were very helpful with my daughters allergies, and made sure we were well taken care of. Everything about this hotel impressed me!

The location of the place is close to most things. It was easy to find and had most eating places nearby. The room we had (king suite) was a nice size. The best were comfy and the air conditioning worked very good. The "managers reception" that was from 5:30-7:30 was ok. They mostly served chips and snacks and had good drinks (alcohol included). Overall, the stay was good. They even allowed us a late check out.

Everyone I encountered at this hotel was amazing, the GM clay was extra amazing he made me and my family feel so welcome probably the most interactive General manager I have met he was everywhere, the food and beverage staff Kenyon and the pregnant lady(forgot her name sorry)worked all weekend morning and night they deserve a raise for their hard work. the rooms were clean and updated(better than my embassy i work for) the hotel was very busy due to multiple family reunions going on but the staff made it all work effortlessly. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Always love Embassy Suites! The lobby and breakfast are great as usual. The actual rooms are dated more than other Embassy properties I've stayed at but still clean and comfortable.

Front desk staff was rude. Other than that stay was fine. Nothing extraordinary. Nice room, a plus that there's a free managers reception with free drinks but don't don't counting appetizers, they were gone fast.

REALLY nice hotel. I come here frequently for work travel. Always clean, breakfast buffet is AMAZING, and staff is always willing to go the extra mile. They have a little "Southern sass", but I love it! Lol! ;)

Great value... Between the cocktail hour and free hot breakfast, we saved a lot. The kids had a ball in the indoor pool, and our room was clean, quiet, and up to date.

Somewhat worth the money for the amenities but wouldn't pay over $130 for the room we had. They have AT&T internet so it defiantly isn't high-speed, they need to get Spectrum or practically anyone else.

I wish I could rate this hotel 5* unfortunately few things must be corrected

We had a small vacation in Kentucky
We decided to go with Embassy Suites
We read the reviews online before we choose and we kinda expected all this

Pros:
The place have plenty parking availability
It’s located in a quite area
Prices acceptable
Pool for kids
Gym
Fresh an diverse food
Big rooms and clean

Cons:
Some of the main desk people a little rusty and careless
Chlorine levels in the pool it’s way to high
The happy hour have only one bartender and usually the line for the drinks gets longer

Few things need to be mentioned
Breakfast it’s awesome ... you have to try at least once build your omelette
Lunch or dinner at the restaurant it’s awesome and not too expensive
The chefs and waitresses are awesome also the supervisors... I saw them in the mornings picking up and cleaning after clients and helping them to find a table

The management can correct few things and for sure the visitors will appreciate that.

Overall experience : awesome
As result we asked for one more night

Thank you a lot
Peace!

Loved the hotel, pool, hot tub and breakfast. I couldn't have asked for a better situation to be stranded in! The staff was wonderful.

The only hiccup is that the shower and curtain had hair everywhere. It looks like this is a consistent issue with this hotel and I did mention it to the desk upon check out. The only thing I requested in return was that the issue be addressed with staff.

Other than that, the stay was perfect!

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. We had a king suite and used the pullout couch for our children, but the springs we're very uncomfortable. We would certainly get two queen beds next time. Breakfast was nice, overall a great recommendation.

Superb! This hotel was recommended by a friend and for good reason, I have zero complaints. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The room was spacious and was designed to optimize the space. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The breakfast was by far the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. They have a chef cooking to order omelets and pancakes. The chef was very friendly and entertaining. The location has a lot to offer. They are close to multiple restaurants, shopping complexes, bar scenes, and more. It was the perfect place for our weekend get away. High recommend!

The hotel offered guests free drinks the evening we checked in and that was a great start to our evening. The room was clean and the amenities we're great. The hotel is close to a great shopping area which was enjoyable to explore. Breakfast was nice with an omelette bar and everything. The staff is polite and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and stay again myself.

We stayed here 9/16/17 and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were super clean and big. The hotel was out of the way making it quiet. We set in the lobby and watch the louisville game while we were waited on hand and foot by Elisha. Special thanks to her for giving us a great experisnce. Prices for food and drinks were reasonable. Breakfast was one of the best that i have had in an hotel. we will be back.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. They have top of the line service and one of the best thing about this hotel was the breakfast! And to the chef (Gerald) that was cooking the omelets, You Did an Awesome job and Deserve an Award!! Not only did you make sure that we were satisfied with our food and stay at the hotel, you were very friendly and seemed to enjoy your job!!!!

The room was clean and very spacious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. There is an indoor pool and spa, restaurant and bar. In the evening, the hotel offers free drinks and appetizers and a full, made to order breakfast in the morning. Good location, about 15 minutes from the airport. Pillows are a little too soft but the bed is comfy.

Hotel was amazing, staff was awesome. Amber at the front desk was funny and a very helpful tour guide. Monty at the bar during happy hour was awesome! Rooms were spacious, hotel has a urban/modern decor rooms seemed to have been upgraded. The weekend we stayed here was full of children for a tournament but we still had privacy and the noise level was not bad at all! My only complaint is the breakfast options could be a little extended. We stay at Embassy suites whenever we travel and this was the one time the breakfast selection was limited. The cook to order line with eggs and omelets the eggs were not tasty and the guy that was preparing the food was kind of a jerk.! I asked him could he make me some scrambled eggs because I wanted them freshly cooked and he advised me that there were eggs on the buffet but he would make them for me anyway if I just had to have them cooked to order. I thought that was pretty rude. Other than that outstanding hotel and front office staff

King suite with separate bedroom, pull out couch. Room is spacious, clean, well equipped. Complimentary drinks & snacks in afternoon. Breakfast in morning. Good location too. Couple of dining options you can walk to. Strong chlorine smell with indoor pool. Lots of kids running around.
Update
After one night, I think it is important to know that pull out couch is NOT suitable for sleeping as a queen bed. There is literally less than 1/4 inch of material separating you from springs. Someone could sleep single on couch, not pulled out. For the price of suite room with intention on family sharing, probably not a good option. No roll aways here either. Disappointing.

Hotel was amazing and the staff is top notch. Food was great and they took great care of you. We were there when apparently there was a basketball traveling team. The hotel staff and team managed to keep the place immaculate in spite of the kids that were allowed by there parents to run wild. No parental supervision what so ever kids from 4 to teenage treating the facility like a playground. Yet the Embassy Suites team were calm and kept all in order and did everything with a smile and efficiency.

Stayed at several local hotels when in town for business. There are some decent other ones, but the nightly drinks and appetizers, service, hot tub, indoor pool, room size and bed set these guys apart. So much so, that I coaxed my boss into setting up our business account here. I visit every couple months and will update my review if anything changes. (FYI - pool rules is no single swimmers, fix it to get a five lol).

This was a very nice hotel in a good location. It's actually located in a corporate business park, so it's easy to access without much traffic or noise near it.

I was concerned about the noise inside the rooms because of the "atrium" design (all rooms open onto a balcony overlooking the downstairs lobby/dining area). However, since the rooms are suites, there's a second interior door you can close to block out any noise bleeding into the room. We had no issues.

Always stay at Embassy Suites. This one seemed very understaffed causing problems with the restaurant experience. The staff were very overburdened and you would think staff on a Saturday wouldn't be an issue. Not staying in Louisville again.

Loved spending this Saturday morning (from 8 am to 11 am) listening to the landscaping blowing away outside my window.
Breakfast should also not end at 9 am, extend it another hour.
Not everyone staying here will be up for a business meeting or whatever before that time.
The food is sub par but it's free so it's expected.
The saving grace was the super comfy beds and the cleanliness.

Tub and showers dated but otherwise great place. Evening reception not exactly what another reviewer experienced. We had stale pretzels and some cheese and salsa. My husband loved the beer and wine selection.

We checked in and picked our room the day before. That was nice, since we have a child we prefer rooms on the corner. The room was clean and super comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the free drinks at happy hour. The hot tub had too many chemicals. We ordered dinner room service. We had Teresa's pasta and the Buffalo wrap. It was all tasty, the food was large portion and we could have shared a meal. Drawback is that no salt & pepper or butter was provided which would have been helpful on the stemmed veggies.

Pretty good overall but had some pretty major complaints too. I'd recommend this hotel for business travelers but it wasn't great for families. The hotel is mostly updated but the bathrooms could use some updating and the pool was rather small.

Our biggest complaint though was over the pull out couch. My wife and I slept on it one night and had our kids sleep in the bedroom. Unfortunately, it was far and away the worst night of sleep I have ever had. Absolutely atrocious. It was thin, hard, had springs poking thru, and caved in at the middle. We both woke up with wrenched backs and felt awful. I am still so annoyed by it that I plan on writing the hotel and their management here soon. As expensive as Embassy Suites rooms are, they surely can find ANYTHING better than that bed. I honesty would have slept better on the hard ground and sadly, I believe the whole hotel has this same bed as my brother and his family had this identical bed in their room next to ours. I will take comfort over style every single time and this bed was truly painful.

We also were charged $10 for internet even though we never used it, so be careful with your charges and make sure they are correct.

Overall, a decent stay at a pretty nice hotel but definitely some room for improvement as well.

Everything about the location itself was stunning, and the atmosphere could not be better especially in the dining area.
Things can get hectic and servers overworked, as well the staff at the desk can make you feel like you don't belong; however, you only have to deal with them during checking in and out. Everyone else there more than makes up for their attitude.

I don't know why this place gets such great reviews. Maybe people haven't stayed in an Embassy Suites anywhere other than Kentucky? Rooms are just alright. The first room they put me into had stained towels with something pink on them, a dirty shower curtain, stained sheets with black smudges, caulk missing around the tub, and a shower that is smaller than any shower I have been in. I asked them for another room and they were very nice about it and apologized, so the staff is great. Unfortunately even when they upgraded me to a King Executive, the room looked about the same. This time the sheets were slightly less stained (still had a few black smudges on them), the towels looked clean, and the shower curtain wasn't dirty. But, the shower was still tiny. I asked them about it and they said they hear that a lot but all of the showers are the same size. I don't mean a little small, I mean smaller than I have ever seen (about 30-36 inches wide). I've lived in one bedroom apartments with showers that were twice the size and I'm used to Embassy's having large showers. Expect to bang your elbows on the steel bar in the shower stall. If you are with a significant other and want to shower together, this will not be possible. If you of average size like me, this will feel like a shower built for 10 year olds. The bar in the restaurant is nice and the bar tenders were super cool. The hot tub jets didn't work. When I asked about them, I was told "Yeah, those have been broken for a week now and the jets seem to break down every 6 months." So, if you want to use the hot tub, I would ask if it is working a few days before you arrive, and then also hope that your trip doesn't fall in one of the weeks when it is broken and not being repaired. Fridge was supposed to have bottled water in it. Nope. Breakfast was alright. Bacon and sausage was overcooked. The bacon was dry and crunchy and the sausage was like a boot sole. Potatoes were cold. I've stayed in many an Embassy and I would consider this location one Embassy's trashy in-laws. Again, this might be nice by Kentucky standards, but I don't travel to this end of the country much. 2 stars (1 for the staff being polite and another for the bar tenders). Otherwise, this is what I would expect from a Super 8. I will definitely be checking out a different hotel if I come back to Louisville.
