Clearly a top notch hotel from year past. Still a lot of great features, including breakfast! But our rooms AC only blew hot air, and the room above us had a creaky floor so bad we were awakened the same time the occupant directly above us woke up (6 am). Beautiful spot beautiful campus but the room itself leaves me a little disappointed and extra tired this morning.

Relaxing destination for a business or family friendly getaway in Palm Desert California! I really Appreciated the great customer care from room service and the front desk. I had forgotten my shoes in my room after I checked out and Jose sent them Immediately and I got them in two days!Samantha in room service went the extra mile and wrapped up each of my individual items and everything was nice and hot when it got to my room. The exercise room was clean and well-maintained. I really loved the oversized chess and checkers board on the property. This was my second stay and I would come back again. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad to have booked this hotel for my mom. Whitney from reservations was so helpful and pleasent to deal with. She made sure my mom was taken care of and that everything was to her needs. My mom is having a great time there and she's so happy. This is the exact reason I got a Hilton Honors card and why I'll always stay loyal to the Hilton and Embassy Suites brand, for costumer service like this. Thank you Whitney and would love to come myself sometime soon to visit.

Great location, close to tons of great restaurants and activities. We had a few issues with the room and the cleaning staff but the front desk took care of everything immediately. Breakfast was great!

The breakfast and happy hour, I would give 5 star. However the room smelled musty. In the hallway ceiling, there was the air conditioner filter. It looked like it had not been changed for 3 years. It was full of dust and it was disgusting. I called the front office and they said they send house keeping but nothing was done. Staff was friendly and helpful, however the Hotel is older and needs a lot of maintenance and TLC. I would not stay here again until they Renovated the outside of the Hotel and fixed the air conditioning. They also charged $10.00 each day to park which I was not aware of. Richards H

Very supportive staff. They do a great job. They try very hard in the restaurant to keep the tables clean and the breakfast buffet stocked. Management and the building are another story. Building feels like a motel converted to a hotel. Ceilings are thin. I am Hilton Honors Diamond level for two years which requires at least 90 nights in a year. Every Hilton offers free coffee. This one wanted to charge me. I don't expect that from a premium Hilton property. Management is being penny wise, dollar foolish. I'll be avoiding this property in the future.

They were having technical difficulties with a stupid fire alarm and we were evacuated for several hours in the middle of the night which really sucked! we didn't even get compensated for half of the room fees. We needed that sleep for our trip that following day and didn't end up getting even a solid 2-3 hrs!!! Embassy Suites usually has a way better reputation in this. I guess because they're in the middle of a desert, reputation and good customer service just doesn't matter to them.
I'm only talking about the front desk personnel.
Everyone else is very, very friendly and understands the importance of excellent customer service.

Nice hotel, but could be improved upon. Breakfast was very busy/crowded with no place to sit indoors. Had to eat outdoors in 100°+ heat, dirty tables. The $10 per day for parking is tacky.

Very good property, but a few glitches cost it a star.

First the bad: the Wi-Fi didn't work and I was oddly locked out of my room by housekeeping the morning I was checking out. I also thought it odd that there was no TV in the "living room" of the suite. If you wanted to watch TV without lying in bed, you were out of luck.

The good outweighs the bad, though. The rooms are decent size and the bed was very comfortable. The room was also well cleaned. The happy hour and breakfast were good and the pool is fairly large.

All in all, this property is very good. It could be stellar with a bit of effort. Recommended.

The rooms definitely need updating. Worn fixtures, mildew in the bathroom. The bed was pretty good, but there were stains on the comforter. Breakfast was good, made to order eggs and a decent buffet. Plastic cups at happy hour didn't impress me. The pool looked clean although I didn't get in. People there were nice enough. If I got a good deal, I'd consider staying there again, but only for a couple of nights max.

This Embassy Suites is old and it shows. The room smelled like mildew and the bathroom was very small, old and not updated. They have only updated the rooms with new furniture and carpet, NOT a full remodel of the place. The room had some dirty furniture stains and the linens had some stains as well. For $200 a night on a weekday, we feel overcharged and I wouldn't come back to this one again. Breakfast was free with the room and was fine but overcrowded and constantly out of food making you wait around for them to resupply.

Great hotel. The grounds are clean, the parking is free and they have a great gym, lots of tennis courts and an amazing breakfast buffet. The rooms are spacious but need some updating. Great for adults going for a personal weekend trip or a business trip. Not great for kids or long stays.

This motel is beautifully landscaped and the "rooms" we received were suites with a living area with wet bar, microwave, and small refrigerator, and large bedroom with wet hygiene bar in the bedroom and a full bath adjoining. The included breakfast buffet was awesome including a short order chef making omelets and custom prepared eggs. My only complaint is that the exercise room which was posted to be open until 2300 hrs was locked up closed at 2200 hrs. The pool was very nice. The motel is very easy to find with good signage. It was reminiscent of some movies made in the 1950's in regards to ambiance... Beautiful, well landscaped, nice artwork and sculptures, fountains, etc...."classy"!

This place has a pretty good breakfast. The pullout bed is terrible and the room layout is not the best. The rooms and pool are nice and clean with good service. We we're supposed to be at the resort but at the last minute they threw us in the hotel.

The suites are quite large and fairly updated feeling. The have a kitchen sink and microwave but no stove. The location is convenient for most Palm desert attractions with grocery store right beside. The evening reception was above average with veggies and salty snacks, and the breakfast was above average too with a wide variety. The grounds are well kept and the staff were all friendly. My only complaint was the room was very cold. The heat just blew cool air all night and the aren't any extra blankets in the room. I would definately stay here again.

The hotel is a bit run down. Rooms/Hotel have a nice coat of paint but it needs some major updating. Bath tub leaked all weekend, remotes didn't work the first night and the alarms were going off and on for about an hour the first night. The breakfast was the best part of the visit.

We visited back in Oct 2015 and returned Oct 2016 stay so I thought I should share why I choose to re-book there. I won't disagree with other reviewers in that this property is older and needs work, so I will get the negatives out of the way first. The elevator is terrible, old, & dirty.... we got a bottom floor room on the first visit so it didn't affect us much, second visit we were in #320 so we just took the stairs. They need a person assigned to clean up - the pool and common areas should be cleaned of cups and garbage every night at least. People should clean up after themselves, but if they do not other guest shouldn't have to look at it for days. The breakfast is a great added benefit and the choices are varied, but the layout is strange as others have said. The hot foods being in a separate, very small room was inconvenient. The dining areas outside are great, but because the area is not cleared frequently by an employee, if people leave their food out the birds swarm. On to the positives...... for the price paid I think this is a great value! The rooms are large, great for families. The sitting area has a sofa bed and it's own TV, and it closes off from the master, so that way part of your group can rest if others want to stay up. The sitting area has a small table and chairs, fridge, microwave - great for keeping the budget down when you can not afford to dine out every meal. There is also a grocery store right next door, drinks and snacks couldn't be more convenient. There is a sink in the bathroom and a full second vanity in the bedroom, great for rooms with more than 2 people trying to get ready. The beds are comfortable, my whole group said they slept well. The breakfast is a great add on. It was 6-9 am on Mon-Fri and 7-10 on Sat & Sun. The evening happy hour was daily from 5:30-7:30 - the free drinks at night are small, but the drink of the day was always good - the bartender Kenny is a great asset to the place. The night time snacks could use some variety and upgrade - they are not up to par with other ES that I have stayed at. Overall for the money paid - it is a good deal.

Great overall value! Room is spacious, gym is half decent for a hotel, centrally located and the staff are all friendly. I'll book here again if I decide to visit Palm springs. Oh and free drinks between 530 and 730, with a breakfast as well how can you top that.

Nice hotel. Always love the convenience of the complementary morning breakfast & evening happy hour. Pool was being refurbished during our visit - no surprise as it was stated clearly on their website before we booked the reservation. Seemed though that some other guests checking in missed getting that info before arriving & were quite disappointed. Staff was overall very pleasant & helpful. Only reason for a "4" & not a "5" was that two staff members also felt the need to air their personal complaints about "The Hotel" directly to me. I always laugh to myself when employees do this as THEY ARE "The Hotel" to me, the Customer. I suggest that Embassy Suites Management have this discussion with their employees - and also do some reflection on their corporate culture as that more often than not is the source of this "we/they" conflict. I still recommend the hotel. They are very good - this review just being an honest evaluation on where they can focus on improving to become both a great place to work for their employees & an absolute "choice destination" for their Customers.

The hotel staff was welcoming, helpful, and outstanding. It was clear the hotel was short staffed on a busy weekend. The overall grounds could have also used some attention. Elevators, grounds, and exterior portions of the hotel were pretty dirty. Overall our experience was great.

Overall the property is well worn but it appears they are starting to work on improvements. Our room was not serviced after our first of two days - not good. Breakfast is the standard mass produced stuff, coffee was not satisfying. Room was spacious and the gym was nice. Check in was quick.

Great deal for the price advertised. Smooth checkin. Everybody in the pool area seems to be having fun. Free breakfast included with a great selection of hot and cold food. It was a little chaotic as it was a holiday weekend. I believe the hotel was almost full but it was quiet at night. Rooms are big and clean and staff were all very pleasant to deal with. Good area with Starbucks next door. El Paseo close. Easy enough access to the 10. Multiple restaurants to choose from high end to family friendly type. I recommend a light to lit up hotel sign on the road.

Free breakfast and free drinks at happy hour! The breakfast is great, you can get eggs made to order plus bacon and sausage!

The building is clearly an older building but they are slowly redoing it. The pull out couch bed is not the most comfortable thing I have slept on but still better than the floor.

Over all it's not a bad place. The staff is amazing!

Location is in a nice, fairly affluent area in the desert. It is a short ride to Coachella and Stagecoach. There are numerous different stores and banks nearby and even higher end shopping. The rooms are good. Very clean. Simple but contains just about everything you'd need. 3 different floors. Some, or all, are outside access but from within the hotel meaning they're not accessible to the public but are exposed to the outside. Service has been decent. Not great or above average but certainly not bad. A few blemishes but nothing huge. If I had to describe it I would call it the most basic or lowest level of "good" hotels.

I stayed here for a Women's retreat in March and absolutely enjoyed it. The rooms were cery spacious and had all the usual amenities, like a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is great with an omlette station, I didn't try it though because the line was kind of long. In the evening they also have complimentary drinks and snacks. I really enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard in the center of the hotel.

This hotel provides good service and nice rooms for the price. I have been here 3 times this year, twice for business and once for pleasure. They offer daily, hot, cook-to-order breakfast and a free manager's reception with free drinks and snacks. The staff is pleasant and service-oriented. It is an older hotel, so the parking pavement needs some maintenance, but the rooms are well appointed. And if you have any issues, they bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. If you need anything, just ask! There's a nice pool and jacuzzi, too. It's not a resort hotel, but is great for a quiet, restful trip-business or otherwise

GREAT STAFF.. staying here while getting my home ready to move in.. The rooms are huge. The breakfast is made to order! and included with your stay..

Property is almost done with what looks like a major renovation. The lobby is beautiful. Again... the staff is great... i woke up at 4am this morning. I wanted a plate to heat up some food... They brought a place setting to my room... :) at 4am.....

I usually stay at Marriott properties. But, have decided to switch to Hilton from this piont forward. Marriott does not serve real food at most of there properties anymore. Including major properties in SF. My last stay at a Marriott property here in Palm Desert was a horrible stay. Mr. Marriott was a joke. ... not sure what is happening at Marriott Corp... but, they are going in the wrong direction.

I'm stay at this Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert CA for 10 days. I AM VERY HAPPY SO FAR. Thank you to the staff!! Your management should be proud..

There were two things that we encountered during our stay: one, we had to stop by the office to activate the digital key and two, the complimentary drink service was too crowded for only one employee. We unfortunately skipped the drinks because the line was so long, but everything else was fantastic!

I think it is a nice Hotel with all the standard embassy flair. I have to admit the hotel is feeling a little worn and if they recently did a remodel then that is not noticeable at all. Great breakfast is the best thing with this hotel.

It's a clean hotel but the rooms are a bit outdated and the bathroom was a bit small. the reception and pool area was clean and we'll maintained. there's free WiFi but you have to sign up to Hilton honours club which to me is something that you shouldn't have to do

Incredible location and atmosphere. The pool was extremely nice and had a resort feel. The breakfast was very tasty and the free drinks in the early evening are a nice added bonus.

Would recommend staying here. I will be back.
