ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

The key through the app didn't work. This wouldn't normally be a problem but after working all week you want to be able to go straight to your room and bypass the counter as promised. Even when I went and got a new key it still didn't work. They had to move me to a new room. It really isn't fun to move all your luggage up and down slow moving elevators late at night. They moved me quickly and were nice but it still was a bad experience.

Managers special is awesome. Pool has late hours than most. Room service was quick. Discounted stay for lousy maid service. Rooms were a great size. Very hot in the rooms with minimal temperature control. Very pretty inside decor

Love this place. We stay here every year at Christmas with our two fur babies. Love the "living" lobby with the trees and waterfalls. However, we are VERY sad to know this place will no longer be our holiday home. Staff told us they are closing and opening a senior living home. I'm sure the folks that will become future residents will love it if the changes aren't too significant.

This place is gorgeous. Lovely lobby and waterfall. Front desk clerk was friendly. Would definitely recommend. Only complaint is that it's hidden, you have to pay close attention to find it.

We had an enjoyable experience here. Managers Reception was nice, staff was friendly and price couldn’t be beat. Not to mention the best hot breakfast we’ve ever enjoyed at a hotel.

Get here before it goes out of business Feb 2018. I loved this hotel. But in the last month of business who knows if they can maintain the same standards as employees who are all losing their jobs look for employment.

This was a great place to spend part of my holiday weekend. The free breakfast was very good. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. Fresh made to order omelets. Scrambled eggs with a cheese sauce. Fresh pastries. Wonder oat meal. The atrium has a waterfall and a brook with a river walk leading to several gazebos. Rooms are comfortable and clean and very spacious. We stay near the city on holidays as we attended church service's at First English Lutheran Church downtown Pittsburgh on Grant Street. We Live a distance from the City and do not want to miss out on any of the special music and service's not to mention the life size replica of The Vatican Nativity just across the street from the church at the steel plaza.

Our Financial Advisor hosted a Holiday Gala herebkast weekend. The food was served promptly to 400 people. The food was served hot and the fiket was tender with real mashed potatoes. We also had a tender, moist chicken cutlet with white sauce and slender green beans done to perfection. The large staff served us quickly & efficiently. I did miss the coffee bar they had previously but there was a good selection if hot & cold tea as well as a fruit punch. Great job! Good meal!

Nice hotel but has a couple issues. Free breakfast and happy hour drinks is a plus. WiFi blows couldn't get a signal unless I was next to the front door. Couldn't turn off heater, bed was too soft. There is a massive waterfall in the middle of the hotel. Complete waste of money.

Hotel room furniture and decor outdated. Housekeeping of the room not so great. However the staff had a high level of hospitality. Omelettes by Tiffany are amazing. Drinks by Mark were made perfect.

Gee, giving 4 stars because of overall value and friendly staff. Pretty clean -- some dust, but no bugs or mold. Popular evening "manager's reception" -- free drinks and light food. Excellent free breakfast.

Neat and clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast with plenty of options...I enjoyed my stay. The location is near Pittsburgh airport, but wasn't noisy at all. In fact, the water feature at the center of the hotel provided a nice ambient background without being noisy itself. The room I stayed in was full featured with a desk and credenza, kitchenette, walk in shower, and a bedroom with a door...mentioning these things because they stand out at this price point. I'd definitely stay there again.

The rooms are nice but the atrium in the center causes alot of noise. (Though it's pretty) This is also true for the hotel bar. Noise from bar patrons will be heard in hotel rooms. I was there for a wedding reception and some of the staff were not friendly or happy to be there. When our table was served the wedding soup course, four people didn't receive any. The waitress ran out of soup and never came back. When we brought it to another staff member's attention, we were told the people weren't sitting there when the soup was served. There was no apology, even after we told her they had been there the whole time. There was no water left on the table and the bartenders didn't seem happy to serve water to you. The food was good - not bad but not anything I would write home about. For it being a large wedding (300 people) there was plenty of space.

This place is amazing, it's not your standard place, the ponds and other features make you feel relaxed as you enjoy the free comps. The staff is wonder full. Price is in line for the service you receive. They have a good exercise room which I used with modern equipment. Room was comfortable and quiet. Thanks I needed this...

I do like this hotel... I've stayed here probably 30 times in the past 5 years. So it's not bad... but it's in desperate need of a renovation. It feels very outdated. The staff is typically very helpful but I've always struggled with the thermostat in the room. Almost every time I've stayed, I've had to call down to the front desk to get maintenance up to reset it. Breakfast is great but very crowded so he prepared for that. The managers reception is fine. The drinks are good but they don't serve hot appetizers like they used to. It's typically crudités and snack mix or something like that. But it's free so it's hard to complain about that. I do enjoy this hotel... it could just use a little love.

The scenery of this hotel is fantastic. It looks like it is oftentimes used for local meetings for companies. However, it still didn't feel like it was crowded. The rooms are pretty standard. The ones that I saw were a drab brown color and a bit unassuming, but they seem to be alright. The staff is incredible, though. They are really nice and accommodating and will help you out in any way possible.

Impressive when you first walk in with all the water features, but very dated. Breakfast was a zoo (space completely inadequate for the number of people there). Room was an ice box and thermostat adjustments didn't work. WiFi was too far away and useless. TV in the bedroom didn't work when we arrived but I did manage to fix it by taking out all the cords and reconnecting. But in the end beds were comfortable and covers helped with freezing room temp so we got some rest before moving on.

King size suite was very comfortable and quiet. Included separate sleeping area off of the living/dining area. Bathroom was very clean and up-to-date. Bed was comfortable with clean linens. Parking is generous and staff is very friendly and helpful. The setting is relaxing and professional, with the classic "open-air" feel of the Embassy brand. Drive to Pittsburgh airport departures was about 10 minutes or less.

Fitness room is very small, only two treadmills and a set of free weights up to 50 lbs.

The hotel was very nice. Really nice entrance and beautiful atrium. It appears to be used for a wedding venue. Really large rooms. The rooms are like a small apartment with a living room and small kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator. The bedroom is separate with a door that can be closed. Lots of fluffy towels and very comfortable bed and pillows. The living room area looks a little dated but the rest of the bathrooms appear to be recently updated. The room was very clean.

Very nice hotel with a staff who is willing to help. Property was clean and well cared for. The room was comfortable. A bonus: you can park your car here and they'll give you a ride to the airport and pick you up on return - all for about 20 bucks!

The bed was comfortable. The happy hour was nice. I believe the bartender's name was Mark. He was very personable, and he made the best sangria I've ever had. Parking is free. The staff is friendly. The only issue I had was that the WiFi conked out inexplicably while I was trying to telework. We never figured out why, but I was eventually able to reconnect. I would definitely stay here again if I ever returned to Pittsburgh.

What a wonderful experience. We love how the hot tub is outside and away from the noise of the pool area. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the short drive to the many attractions Pittsburgh offers. We were disappointed that we couldn't find an exhaust fan to help air out the suite, the "stink" keeps this luxury hotel from a 5 star rating.

My family and I have always had a great experience at this hotel. First of all, this hotel is beautiful inside and outside. There is an indoor garden with a few pagodas, ponds and huge gold fishes in them. There's an indoor pool, conference center with computer and printer, and ballrooms for weddings/receptions. Their bedrooms are cozy and clean. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is next to the airport, and they offer a shuttle that brings you to and from the airport. I definite recommend this hotel! Just know that this hotel is not cheap (at least $150 per night)

They did not have the room we booked in advance. Instead of getting a 2 bed suite, we had to settle for one bed. This made the trip kind of awkward as I couldn't sleep with the person I was traveling with. As a result I slept on the couch both nights. However, staff was very friendly and the happy hour is a plus.

Great place for wedding except bartender was a rude dude. Food is top notch, service was excellent, place is clean. Elevators are slow. Back to the bartender, big burly dude. We rolled in and he didnt want to serve us...40 people...that is big money. He was lazy, greasy and didnt wash his hands after running it through his grey greasy hair. Bar closes at 11. Otherwise, great experience.

My husband and I were married near the Embassy Suites Pittsburgh International Airport over the weekend of May 7th. We stayed there for three nights along with over 30 of our guests. Unfortunately, our experience was one frustration after another.
We initially called this hotel about 6 months prior to the wedding to reserve a block of rooms. We were given a "wedding rate" for all of our family and friends as long as they gave our name when reserving their room, however our guests quickly discovered that this rate was over $20 higher than the rate given online. The front desk was unable to match the online rate, so most of our guests (and the two of us!) had to call the front desk, cancel our reservations and then re-reserve the room online at the lower rate. Despite bringing the hotel over 25 booked rooms for 2-3 nights a piece, we weren't offered any discount or special considerations. We reserved their Presidential Suite for the second two nights of our stay. This is a larger suite with a large table in the front room but with no other amenities. This room was about $90 more expensive than a regular suite so we had to arrange for a regular suite for our first of three nights.
About a month before the event, I called to see if the hotel offered any breakfast options for the Sunday morning after our wedding. This was also Mother's day so we were worried about having a plan ahead of time. The front desk wasn't able to answer my question and passed my call to the event manager's voicemail. After leaving two messages over the course of a week without a response, we finally gave up and made reservations at an outside restaurant.
We, along with our wedding party of 14, stayed at the hotel for three nights and almost every one of us had various problems with our rooms. Wifi did not work, lights, outlets and even the air conditioning did not work in one room. Housekeeping was very rude and barged into several rooms including ours at 8:30 AM. When my fiancé ran to catch the housekeeper before coming into the room and explained that we were still getting dressed for the day, the housekeeper harshly informed him that we should be using our "Do Not Disturb" sign at all times when we are in the room. We asked her to return in an hour but she never returned to clean the room. This happened to two other guests in our party as well.
When we booked our room, we arranged with the hotel to provide a shuttle for my fiancé and his 7 groomsmen to the church. We confirmed this when we checked in and then again the night before the wedding. When my fiancé and the groomsmen arrived in the lobby an hour before the ceremony, the gentleman behind the desk informed them that the arrangement had been agreed to in error and they were unable to provide the shuttle. He offered no assistance for finding alternate transportation and the men began frantically making alternate arrangements. Fortunately, they were able to find two Uber drivers to get them to the church just ahead of me and my bridesmaids who fortunately had made other transportation arrangements. Fortunately, the hotel did rally and provide three shuttles for us from the reception venue and our guests were able to return home safely that night.
My husband and I were reluctant to leave a poor review without contacting the hotel first and sharing our experience. Unfortunately, after calling the hotel and asking to discuss our stay with a manager, the front desk took my number and never returned our call.
Overall, this hotel has very pretty grounds, reception area and lobby, however the rooms are dated and need to be updated and/or repaired in some cases. We had very poor experiences with the reception staff, buffet staff and housekeeping over the course of our stay and really expected more as two long-time Hilton Honors members. We now regret not staying with the Sheraton down the road because they offered us a much better wedding package. Until changes are made, we would not recommend the Embassy Suites to anyone, especially not wedding parties.

The rooms are clean and the staff is very courteous. There hotel decor looks like it was recently updated or renovated and it is beautiful. The braggart l breakfast included made to order omelettes and the usual fare included in the price.

I received amazing service here. My flight was delayed the following morning again yet the front desk staff let me reuse my room which was checked out already as a sign of courtesy since I would have had to wait otherwise at the airport for another 6 hours.

My aunt Dana George works there. And anyway, like that makes the hotel great just because of that! But, they have beautiful rooms, a nice pool, nice hot tub, nice bathrooms, they have very nice staff including my aunt Dana, they have clean rooms that are nicely made, nice cable, comfy beds, nice lighting and decorations and they also have chefs! They have room service and they have a food bar and a drink bar that you see in restaurants! It's just a 5 star hotel that I would recommend to anyone! And they even have a restaurant! And I am not saying all these good things just because my aunt works there. Just one bad thing, they don't have waterslides!
