ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

I slept for 15 hours in the most amazing hotel bed ever. Pool was very large and enjoyable, breakfast served all guests well, although I wish there were more veggie/fruit options. Very enjoyable, I would go back

Great hotel and location. My favorite parts were the breakfast options and the water feature. Open and spacious rooms gave me plenty of room to work and play. Bar tenders and staff were friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to and from airport is greatly appreciated.

Great hotel. Spacious comfortable rooms. Really impressive bar and lobby. Great spot for a group get-together or small conference. My only complaint is with regards to parking. The new security gate seems to cause somewhat of a bottleneck.

Perfect location near the airport. The presidential suite is spacious, nice amenities, but wish the TVs were larger. Very polite concierge, staff great. Great welcome after an exhausting week, so nice to relax and enjoy the suite, before flying to my next destination.

For the price I felt it was amazing. We had a room with a separate living area so we could put kids down earlier and still hang out. There was a tiny kitchen so you could warm up leftovers. Kids loved pool and water features with goldfish swimming around. The continental breakfast was by far the best included breakfast I've had at a hotel. I would for sure stay again

If you have ever stayed at an Embassy Suites you know that breakfast is usually top notch, not here. They have syrup out for a make your own waffle, but no waffle maker. The crossiants and pastries look old, no hot water for tea, no juice selection and the omelet station serves watery eggs. The bathroom had mold. And the shower curtain had pink goop on it. Went down to the bar and the bartender also had an attitude.

I stayed here for work and let me tell you, this hotel is stunning. Beautiful lobby area with indoor waterfalls and rivers, two-room suites, open bar during happy hour, buffet breakfast, shuttle to airport, close to train to take downtown ($5 daily), restaurants and stores within walking, this was absolutely perfect. 100% would stay again.

Nice hotel. Beautiful indoor waterfall, glass elevators. Rooms are a little dated but nice and clean. Breakfast was good. And location is right next to airport which was excellent for us!

I’ve stayed at many hotels and this one is average. The rooms are spacious. The complimentary breakfast is great. The water is HOT fast with good water pressure and the beds are okay. My room had a strange passion fruit scent. If I was traveling back to the area I’d prob see what my options are before staging here again.

One of my favorite hotels in the US (Not all Embassy Suites, THIS ONE). The concierge is extremely helpful and friendly, rooms are always very nice and clean, and the breakfast is literally the best FREE breakfast you will find in any hotel. Daily 2 hour FREE happy hour with snacks as well. The shuttles are constantly running, so I've never had to rent a car. The bottom line is it is just a very nice hotel with very nice staff. Couldn't ask for much more.

The real difference maker for me was the concierge. I'm a younger business person, and often get treated as such. The gentleman working as concierge during my stay never made me feel like a "kid", remembered me each morning, and after a few conversations, understood what kind of work I was doing in Portland and did not make me explain it every time we saw each other.

The venue was amazing. We were having a real estate training event and was able to accommodate everyone who came. The food for lunch break was okay, I'm not sure who made it but it could of been better. Overall pretty good and I know we have events there all the time.

The room was very spacious, with a separate sitting room. There was a table, couch, two tvs, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The included breakfast was great, with an omelet station and lots of other options. Included Happy Hour was also nice. The only issue was that the hotel felt very dated. Also, there is no bathroom fan, which I hate. They had a strange heating lamp above the bathroom. Overall it was a good experience.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms with separate "living" quarters that include a pull-out couch, dining table, kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, and microwave. The hotel has a restaurant, lounge with bar, gym, and small business center. The main lobby is open and attractive, and their customer service is friendly and attentive.

My advice is to bring your own food. The food they offer is generally low quality and pricey. Dining and room service begin after 3 or 4, and breakfast ends at 9. Their small convenience store, offering Starbucks from a machine, packaged and frozen foods, bland pre-made salads, and soggy sandwiches will gouge you if you get hungry within that 6-7 hour block of time.

I was worried when I had to take a parking slip to enter. But they give you a free exit slip. I love the omelet bar. The in house restaurant is really good too. The rib eye is cooked perfectly and the salmon was tender and moist. Rooms are large and clean. WiFi is strong. It's my favorite place to stay for any business in Portland.

We arrived much earlier than anticipated and they were able to find a room for us without making us wait. We took advantage of their shuttle van to access the local shopping. The front desk staff was extremely accomodating and pleasant. The room was dated, but very clean and well cared for. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening reception as well as the cooked to order omelettes in the morning. The hotel atrium was beautiful with lots of water features and greenery.

They made the stay with my young kids a really great experience. The staff were very attentive to all the need of the kids and were so nice. The room did have a bit more random staining than I would have liked....but overall I can't complain about the stay when it was mainly positive!

Upon arrival, I discovered my toilet had poop on the toilet seat. Not a great start to my stay. I had a premium room which included snacks and soda. I was pleased with the snack selection offered. The hotel is located in a good location and easy to get to the airport or near by shopping and food options. $15/night for self parking, in an open air parking lot is disappointing. May or may not stay there again

Used their overnight parking service. Price was reasonable compared to other options. Upon checking in I was told about a complementary drink (limited bar but plenty to suite most needs) and a snack bar in the back. Once I was ready to go to the airport, the shuttle wait was only 5 minutes. Upon return, I was an hour delayed with no issues. Called shuttle as walking to ground transportation area (no bags checked) and shuttle was pulling up as I got out there. Very pleased with the service, would definitely use again!

Came to the embassy for a company party. All the staff were very nice. For a bunch of construction workers they went above and beyond for us. Food was amazing and great drinks. I didn't end up staying at the place but from the people who did I heard the rooms are very nice and big. Highly recommend this place

I attended an event here recently and I was just so impressed with the overall cleanliness both inside and outside the facility. In my case they had the parking waived for the evening and we're extemly accommodating to all our groups requests. I must say also, the catered food was fresh and tasty! Thanks for a great experience, we will be back.

The hotel is just a few minutes away from the airport. The receptionist was pleasant and efficient. The lobby area was inviting. Large area for breakfast and cocktail hour. Note that these areas fill up fast on busy days. There can be a long wait for cocktails and a long line for breakfast.

The room was clean with reasonable lighting and outlets. It was a bit noisy with sounds from the lobby/bar area.

The pool can be very crowded with children making it difficult for adult swim (although there are some late adult only times).

The hotel was typical of a large hotel near the airport. The room seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. I was situated immediately in front of the elevators, so foot traffic from the lobby mixed with frequent planes taking off wasn’t exactly a haven for solitude and self-reflection, but it wasn’t so bad as to be a problem.

I was there for a conference and the conference rooms were decent with appropriate sizes for both large and small groups. Breaks had a variety of snack foods that were good, though I have also had better at other conferences. While speaking with one of the conference organizers (a co-worker), I found out that it was more cost effective for them to actually purchase several projectors and cases than rent those from the hotel. They paid for themselves in only a couple of years.

Dining at the hotel is limited to their one restaurant. The breakfasts and lunches were part of our conference and were excellent, but I can’t speak to the price. Dinners were not provided and were the typical overpriced fare of large chain hotels. Ambience is nice with the indoor “stream” running through the lobby.

The room was great! However the A.C. was not working, it was only blowing hot air. I called the front desk and they got maintenance up right away. He could not fix the issue, and offered to move us rooms. We did not really want to move rooms so he brought into box fans for our bedroom. It worked out perfect. The breakfast was also really good!

The $15 parking fee caught me by surprise, especially since some of the hotels further down Airport Way don't charge for parking when staying as a guest (not to mention the fact they are a little closer). This location is convenient to the airport if you want to quickly hit your flight up after waking up, but again some of the other hotels further down airport way towards the airport offer free parking for up to 14 days on your trip if you stay there isn't guest before you fly out, plus a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. The rooms are decent enough, though they could use an update. The staff was friendly enough. However, I thought the parking fee was gouging a little bit, especially considering other hotels which are closer to the airport don't charge for parking.

Loved this hotel. First time we have stayed here. Beautiful lobby. Rooms are great with 2 beds and a pull out couch. A separate living room with tv, microwave and mini fridge. There was a business center with computers and printers so we could print our airline boarding passes. The offer a full breakfast in a dining room. The food was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use them again.

I visited the Embassy Hotel for a work related conference. I was very impressed by how nice the inside was compared to the meek outside. Fancy elevators and indoor landscaping. Embassy provided plenty of coffee and water and a few morning snacks which I'm sure is all the conference paid for in their package, but there were plenty of glasses and cups provided and everything was clean. A lunch was provided which was a very nice spread of roasted vegetables, potatoes, chicken, or roast beef, with a very nice bread pudding. Everything was delicious. I hope they hold the conference there again next year even if it is further away from my house than the convention center. It seemed much more intimate an environment for this type of event while keeping standards up. This event has been held at the Shiloh by the airport in the past, which to me felt shabby and like the event wasn't worth the money. This felt like some good money was actually spent to put on this function.

Dated but very well maintained hotel. Large, quiet room with a comfortable bed. Enormous lobby/courtyard area. Air conditioner worked, but didn't cool the room as much as I liked. I was surprised to see the $15 parking fee on my bill, as the lot wasn't gated and no one asked if I parked a car. Still the best hotel I've found near the airport, by far.

Just like all of the embassy suites I've stayed at, but this one seemed more serene. Maybe it was just the cool Oregon breeze and grey sky, but this location had a sense of peacefulness not just on the ground floor, but also around outside. The rooms were your average embassy suite rooms. The breakfast was your average embassy suite breakfast, nothing really different about those two. I rate it 4 out of 5.

The Embassy Suites Portland airport is mere minutes from the airport. The shutter ride took only a couple of minutes and check in was handled smoothly and quickly. The building will be familiar if you stated Embassy Suites before. The generally square construction is based around a beautiful 8 story atrium. The rooms are clean and spacious although the hotel itself could stand a refresh; by no means run-down it is showing its age. Available breakfast is a standard serve yourself buffet with the addition of cooked-to-order omelets available at no extra cost. The staff were courteous and helpful responding promptly to any requests.

Very reasonable place to stay for 2 reasons. One: it's an Embassay Suites, so it's comfortable, clean, and has a good breakfast. Two: the "stay park pay" (or whatever it's actually called) is a great feature that allows you to stay very close to the airport and includes 10 free nights of parking ($10 a day after that I believe). Living two hours away from the airport, this is a good option for avoiding those 4am wake up calls to rush to the airport. Staff was friendly.

This hotel is super convenient for those that are flying in from out of state and need to be near a rental car facility. We came here a couple of months back and I forgot to review until now. The staff was friendly, the interior is beautiful with it's plant and waterfall courtyard, and any repairs needed are fixed immediately. We flushed our toilet once and it got clogged, but they sent a maintenance guy over who fixed it in under a minute.

Definitely go to the breakfast buffet they have in the morning for breakfast. It's a nice array and they have a variety of drinks. If you are also concerned about how to get back to the airport, they have a shuttle service there. Just ask about the times at the front desk!

Very nice hotel. Always lemon water and fruit by front desk. Complimentary cocktail time in the evenings with drinks and snacks. Quite a variety for breakfast! All suites have a seperate living room... Which is perfect if you have a baby or toddler in pack n play that you want in a quiet area for their bed time! Super family friendly hotel. And salt water pool!

The service was good even later at night. The location is convenient to the light rail but not too downtown if that's your destination it's a 15-20 minute drive or about a $17ish Uber. If you want to be closer to the airport however it is 2 minutes away. The central area is very nice and breakfast was nice in the morning. The room is larger with a lounging area and a bedroom. The shower had no vent but was negatively pressured to remove moisture

The hotel itself seemed pretty nice, though the room was very dim in the front area. The bedroom had ample sunlight, but it didn't travel far enough into the first room. We attended a wedding in their event hall, and it was beautiful. However looks are very deceiving. It went downhill from just one staff on hand. The bartenders had done nothing wrong so I can't say anything about them, however as they started to bring out the courses for the dinner I noticed our server was terrible. Seeing a red haired slightly elderly lady with glasses, I was taught to respect anyone older. The table had soda and water poured into each glass, but no ice bucket. When we asked for ice, she abruptly told us to go ask the bar staff and that she had no control over it. We brushed it aside and continued the night with no ice as we saw the barstaff swamped with people waiting for libations. The lady came back to put more food the table, and so I offered to help her with placing it down so she didn't have to overreach herself. She took that as an opportunity and I was delegated to put down every plate that came out. She came to our table three times to see if our party was done with the soup, and I reluctantly told her we were finished just to stop her from hovering over it. By this time we had no water and she never offered any refills. As the last two courses came out and she saw our table was still full of food she asked us whether anyone was still eating, however the tone implied that she was tired of bringing out plates if we weren't going to finish them. She definitely made it known that she didn't want to help us with anything. One of the table guests had a son who threw up. We cleaned as much as possible with the tablecloths on hand, and the mother ran out to clean up the child and as she passed our server the mother asked the server "I'm sorry but do you mind taking these clothes away for me?" to which the server replied "yes, I do mind." and proceeded to walk away without taking care of the mess. In short, the place looked great, but one horrible unfriendly staff member killed our mood and expectations of such a hotel. Unfortunately I am not able to recommend this place to anyone at this rate.

For the amount of money, it was just ok. My room was large but smelled of cat, or like an old musty smell. The sink was also not clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was a tray of half eaten food set outside a neighbors door, from room service I assumed, I saw it at about midnight, and it was still there at 8am. So that was gross. Breakfast was good, but limited for the amount of money spent. The lobby was very nice. The shuttle to the airport was easy, the first driver I had was great, the second one was not so nice, I had no US cash on me as I had arrived from Europe (staying at this hotel after being stranded in Portland for the night) and the shuttle driver was not happy he wasn't getting tipped more. All in all I won't stay again.

I love this place for the central patreon with waterfall. It just leaves you feeling happy to walk in there. Plus, the rooms are large and very comfortable. My only issue is with the environmental controls in the room which are not the most user-friendly.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff very kind to out-of-town travelers but breakfast was low quality food and terrible coffee. In a city of coffee roasters, they had bad coffee?! Lunch is great, they will make it exactly the way you want and the pizza is delicious! This place is a bit on the expensive side but it is near the airport.

Well located hotel near the airport but not to close, where you hear the airplanes land and take off all the time. The inside is nice and tidey, with great ambience with waterfall and water ways. Bar and restaurant are in the lobby, which is always great. Rooms are great, bed is comfy, overall a great hotel for an overnight stay.

I checked in quite late arriving around midnight. When I arrived there was one person checking in a guest at the desk. There appeared to be some difficulty with his reservation. Waiting behind him were a couple of people who wanted to purchase some items from the Suite Shop. I was the third in line. And about the 10-minute mark of waiting I became aggravated that I saw two women in the back office, who clearly saw the line of people waiting, just standing in the back talking. Then I noticed there was another gentleman who was also in the back office. After a few more minutes it was apparent that one of the ladies was leaving for the night, the other one went to a desk and finally offered to help the people who were paying for their Suite Shop items and the gentleman who was in the back wandered off and did something else. Finally, after over 10 minutes of waiting, I was able to get up to the desk. The gentleman who helped me was named Christopher. And I expressed to Christopher the minute that I got up there that I was a bit unhappy with what I had seen, but I also let him know but even though I was disappointed with how long I had to wait it was he who was being the only one who was actually doing anything to get anything done on this particular evening. So for that I thanked him, and even though I was aggravated, tried to be as respectful as possible. Now, getting to the room. I stayed in room 826. The minute I walked in its smelled of cat urine. Fortunately if I wanted to escape that smell I could go into the bathroom because it smelled like a dirty dog kennel. I do not give nasty or negative horrible reviews freely. Something about this particular room stunk. The bathroom smelling as bad as it did, and mind you not because of me, smelled from the time I got to the hotel to the time I left the next day at noon. It also surprised me that the beathroom smells so bad because there was a loud ventilation fan that was on, and could not be turned off, the entire time I was there. This hotel needs work. I've noticed a lot of Embassy Suites upgrading over the last few years but it hasn't seemed to hit this one yet. The exterior is very nice. The rooms are shot. I felt like the bathroom was clean, but it's clean as they can get it. It's pretty worn out. The wood on the doors is chipping off, the floors are permanently stained, the tub is stained, things like that. A lot of wear and tear and in need of some updating. Would I go back? I'm not sure. I might if I had to and I had no other options. But luckily, as a Hilton Diamond member, I stay at a lot of Hilton's all over the country. The reason I stay with the Hilton family of hotels is good you can always find one almost anywhere you go in this country, and beyond. I do want to give a shout out to the girl who left, there girl who stayed in did not care to help anybody and the guy who wandered off. Nice work. Christopher on the other hand, thank you. Well done. The other could learn from you.

I was at Embassy Suites for a event held by my employer. We had dinner and there was an awards ceremony. Hotel staff were efficient at service. The room was large with pleasing, neutral decoration. I'm not sure how much of the setup my employer provided, and how much was provided by Embassy Suites, but the PA system served its purpose well. The event was themed, and the tables had beautiful linens on them that reflected the Hawaiian theme. I would love to stay at this hotel as a guest sometime.

Upon entering the lobby to the Embassy Suites, I noticed how luxurious the lobby was. As I was there for an interview, I approached the attendant at the check in counter. I asked her if the gentleman (who I was to interview with) had checked in with her. She went out of her way to let me know where I could wait as usually that was where interview people went. Overall, I found the Embassy Suites to be very nice.

The catering for the business training I attended was delicious and plentiful; the lunch buffet was the same. There was plenty of room for the attendees. I perused the lobby during break and it is an exquisite space.

Service was quick to replace our refrigerator, which was leaking water onto the carpet. We enjoyed egg rolls at happy hour and the continental breakfast in the morning. Location was conveniently close to Red Robin for dinner.

The convenience of this hotel is worth one star so I wasn't impressed with it other than proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly and courteous, they made us feel welcome. When it comes to cleanliness there is much room for improvement. Trash cans overflowing in the lobby, by the elevator and in the bathroom. Floors unswept and the fingerprints and smeared food on the elevator glass and doors was especially disturbing. The suite we were in was tired and in need of a complete makeover. The furniture was dirty and the wood surfaces were scratched and chipped. The carpet needs replaced or at least cleaned.
If you are looking for the usual Embassy Suites experience this isn't the place for you. The drawing card is the closeness to the airport and the free shuttle service. The hotel served its purpose in these 2 areas.

Quiet, comfortable, and reasonable price. Who can ask for more?

Having stayed as Embassy Suites across the nation, I always find myself pleasantly surprised by my stay. Efficient and easy check-in, polite staff, and comfortable rooms.

Most rooms come with a bed, couch, mini-fridge (with small freezer), and (perhaps most important for myself) a immaculately clean bathroom.

I rested comfortably my entire stay, and look forward to my next night or two in the future.

10/10, would stay again. ;)

Friendly staff, great breakfast, very nice lobby/bar areas, nice happy hour. Rooms are a bit dated and the building could use some better upkeep. Overall though, we would definitely stay here again.

Embassy Suites by Hilton is located conveniently close to the airport. The indoor waterfall and architecture were calming. The building was clean and well kept.

They charged a 23 percent service charges, but their servers get none of it. Therefore not everyone was willing to provide their good service to us. Only one Asian server worked hard and the rest just layed back.

The embassy is always really clean even in all of them in Portland. They offer breakfast buffet, and evening reception which give free snacks and drinks. The rooms have a living area and sleeping areas l.

Very (!) happy with the entire hotel!! Absolutely everything. $10 parking?? Thank you - versus $32 overnight in downtown Portland! Fabulous hotel. Will definitely return.

$10/day parking is a joke, considering the lot is always jam packed with people attending seminars and events, who should be parking in the event parking area - but don't.

The rooms are terribly outdated and have an odd odor - likely from cleaning supplies. Towels had brown stains on them, especially gross. Behind the nightstands appeared to have not been cleaned in a very long time, fist bunnies and trash accumulated.

The pool was too cold to enjoy indoor swimming in November, and the water looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. The area around the pool featured band-aids and hair ties, and the floor was grimy and very slippery.

Of the Embassy Suites I've visited over the last 12 months while traveling for work, this one leaves the most to be desired. Had my stay not been covered by points, I would have definitely demanded a discount or refund.

While this is probably the nicest hotel in its proximity to PDX Airport (Other options are a very dated Sheraton and Hampton Inn), I would suggest looking at the Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard Marriott on the opposite side of I-205. Both the A-Loft and Hyatt Place by Cascade station are newer and have nicer amenities.

We were attending a Gala and the room was set up beautifully well in time for those who were arriving, even the early ones. The staff worked hard, diligently and unobtrusively as they served the meal. They were very attentive providing aperitifs and making sure juice and water was filled and that there was hot water for those who wanted tea.

I'll start with the negatives so I can end on a good note. The shower head was not fixed to the wall properly and it made it very hard to adjust the settings. The TV remote was not clean and did not function correctly. It did not turn the TV on, but did change channels. Whereas the buttons on the TV could do everything I change the channels. I wish there were two closets. For the pluses, the rest of the room was spotless, and the complimentary goodie tray was well stocked. The kitchenette is roomy and has a lot of storage if you are in for a long stay. The lobby is AWESOME! It has a water feature that has bridges going over a flowing "stream" with fish in it. There are plants and pretty sitting areas all over. One of the few times I have spent most of my time hanging out in the lobby instead of my room. Although I don't drink, the bar off to the side of the lobby looked great, and was well attended by guests. Breakfast was fantastic! Fresh made omelets or scrambled eggs, lots of fresh fruits to choose from, and the sitting area was attractive and comfortable. The staff here are wonderful as well. Everyone smiles, and is very helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms are comfortable and the staff is pleasant. The breakfast is done well and has made to order omletes. There is a reception in the evening with light snacks. I have one major criticism. For some reason, the rooms have a smell similar to cat urine. It hits you pretty hard when you first arrive. You do get used to it to the point of not noticing but when you enter the room after a day away it will hit you again. I have stayed in two different rooms on different floors and the smell was in both.

This would have been a 5-star rating but check-in needs a lot of work here. The first room they put me and had someone already in it, thankfully clothed. That makes me feel like me and my stuff is not safe in the room, if they don't have a system that prevents giving someone keys to a room while someone else is assigned to it. The second room hadn't been cleaned yet. The third room was just great. The people here are really nice and as many other reviewers mention the reception in the evening and the breakfasts are just great. The hotel is in excellent condition. Note that other hotels just send their airport shuttle around but this one you have to call the hotel when you land so they send it over.

Nice clean room. Very convenient to the airport but not noisy. The evening reception included a live band. The only reason this is not a five star review was when i went to breakfast the next moring the reception area had not been cleaed. Otherwise a great stay.

This Hotel was amazing and I would highly recommend it to others! The thing that made my experience exceptional was the staff. Early in the morning at breakfast the serving staff and cooks had a smile and asked how I was doing. We had a couple lunches and dinners in the conference room and one of the associates named Ming always went above and beyond. For example, after I got lunch I sat down and forgot to get a drink. Before I stood up he came over and asked if I would like a soda. Not only did he bring me the soda but he brought a cold glass with ice, a piece of dessert and a happy smile.
