• Improve their environmental performance constantly

- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and

So so. Great deal, but room could be cleaner. Convenient location if you don't want to stay in Downtown Portland. Staff seems a little lost. Overflowing garbage in the lobby. Free breakfast and free drinks at happy hour were nice, but I'd rather pay for those and get nicer service/amenities.

We have stayed here a few times now and everytime I am blown away at how kind and helpful the staff are. We always feel welcome and at home. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and is a great location to play in Portland. We will be back many more times. You won't be disappointed!

Open interior embassy design. Decent views from upper floors. Not the easiest to find from the road. Great staff, very nice and accommodating. Manager party was a little light, breakfast was great. Beds were comfy.

Stayed here two nights with my family. Rooms were reasonably clean and a good size for a family. The breakfast option was pretty decent for being free and there was also an evening light meal which we didn't use but looked good. The pool and hot tub are nice- a little bit small but otherwise good. Overall facility looks nice. Staff were pleasant and room cleaning and attention was prompt and daily. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Room is nice. Love the open floors that you can see down the atrium. I always thoroughly check the room and found what appears to be a public hair or could be body hair on the night stand. Not something you want to see. Luckily I carry sanitizing wipes to wipe down to the surfaces and drawers.
The breakfast buffet is your typical eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, toast bagels, cereal and yogurt. I did see the eggs to order station. The music playing through the bottom floor is great and laid back.

Very great experience here. Housekeeping was great and all of the front desk staff were excellent in their customer service. Loved the breakfast bar and eggs made to order and the snack time and open bar during the evening were also very nice. The magician on hand during this time was also a really fun experience and nice touch by the hotel to really make your stay a very welcome and enjoyable one.

Over all, a nice place to stay, when out by the airport. Free drinks, and a pretty snazzy breakfast buffet... Just go to management if you want an actual vegetarian meal prepared, uncontaminated by utensils or the last guys omelette.

Or maybe they've actually improved the service by now, properly training their line cooks, to accommodate dietary restrictions!

Actual hotel is spectacular. Night front desk staff questionable. Stayed for a sports tournament so I shared a room with another official.
Parking lot is pay to park, was informed at check in Friday yes includes all guest, but roommate said no, no, you should've gotten a parking pass to get out.
Front desk staff told roommate upon arrival I'd checked in, upon finding room empty asked again and told yes I'd checked in, I had not arrived 30 min later.. Explains why one bed had covers down as if someone pulled them down and had a nap, pillows undisturbed.
Great free breakfast. Check room book regarding regarding activities, all phone calls have a fee expect within hotel, yes local beyond xmin are then charged a per min rate. Few other weird, unexpected things have charges while others do not.

We've attended a large homeschooling conference at this hotel two years in a row now and all I can say is WOW. This facility is so warm and understanding (we're talking hundreds of wild, happy children). Definitely my favorite location for this event thus far. The breakfast and evening snack/happy hour is run like clockwork. Well arranged rooms, great pool, even the weekly indoor plant guy is friendly! The plentiful staff is nothing but smiles and instant help no matter what you're needing. I just *love* this hotel. They do hospitality SO WELL.

The staff is first rate. They anticipated our needs , having kids and using the pool, they got us towels before we knew we needed them.
-We were late getting to the breakfast, but the food service mgr. helped the kids and myself by getting us the food they wanted!
Despite it putting her behind and creating a mess in the already clean dining area, she was welcoming, patient and courteous.

Love this place, the standard two room suites are huge, and lots of granite counter space in the bathroom. Cooked to order omelettes for breakfast (after a year between visits, Bill still remembered my name and how I like my omelette). The manager's reception from 5:30-7:30 is also nice, snacks and your choice of adult beverages.

I am staying here for free at a work event, so I can't attest to the value, but this is a wonderful hotel! The staff are all very friendly, no matter who you talk to. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. You walk out of your room and look down to see the dining room. For a work event this is wonderful because you can see who is already downstairs. It's right next to a Target so you can grab anything you need. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area, I super recommend for work conferences and events.

A very nice accommodating hotel. It looks like an office building from the outside, but is very beautiful on the inside. The complementary breakfast lunch and dinner was much better than average hotel rooms. The pool seemed nice, but was crowded when we were there. One of my only complaints is thay the ceilings were kind of short and that there really wasn't much of a view.

I really only walked through the lobby into one of the ballrooms. The parts I did see were lovely. My company used their own staff for catering, so I can't comment on the Hotel's service.

The omelet bar was so yummy and the cook was so sweet and very welcoming. Room service was delicious and the room was nice. The front desk staff was not the nicest the night we arrived. But that was just one person, so I'm sure it's not always like this. I've been staying at this hotel since I was a child and usually have a nice time.

Amazing service. Despite my humble lot... I felt like a VIP. From smiling faces, clean rooms, being treated with respect, late check out...to access to the business center for an urgent need... they did it with style... and food was surprisingly good in the bar. I've had far worse service from far more expensive properties. Thank you and I will be back.

I was there for a work event and did not stay over night. We were provided breakfast and lunch which was really good. Lighting and sound was great. My only complaint is the chairs, they could be a little more comfortable. Over good experience.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. They have a swimming pool and they have cocktail hour every night where they offer free drinks and snacks. The staff is absolutely wonderful they were very friendly and helpful. Also attended a Christmas party there which was also very fun and amazing. They're layout for the food was just awesome the staff was nice. Great atmosphere all around. I would recommend this place to anyone it's well worth the money for all that you get.

Had a conference here and everything was great. Nice dread, friendly all the way. The space was nicely kept, the food and drinks were nice and plentiful, and the service was attentive.

Recommended for any modest sized group meeting you may hold. We had about 100 people in there comfortably.

Suite is clean, ample room. Very good design (sans ceiling fan in bathroom) Air quality should be improved. Free breakfast is one of the best we've experienced. Even though we did not need to to enjoy the finger food light dinner, this also looked good. Staff was very helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Buy your bottled water elsewhere. $4 at Hotel store. They should provide more medicines for illnesses, especially as there were none for children. Pool was good. Smaller than in picks online, but, nice none the less. Great location. Across the street from a Target. 3 blocks from the mall.

Great breakfast as always at the embassy suites. The pool was a little small but the kids still thought it was great. The interior and decided is starting to feel a little dated, but it was still clean. The hide-a-bed matters was almost entirely springs and my children found it very uncomfortable, I think it would have been almost unusable for an adult, but the king bed in the room was great and very comfortable.

We have stayed in several hotels outside of Portland lately and Embassy Suites was by far the best experience. All of the staff we interacted with were amazingly cordial and helpful. The rooms were nice. There was a decent sized tv in a living room which was a separate room from the bedroom. There was a mini sink, fridge, and microwave in the living room. The breakfast was great. French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, granola, eggs and fruit (pineapple and honeydew). There was a separate omelette bar where you could order a specific one letter and have it made right in front of you. They even had vegan options for breakfast. The only complaint that we have is that my wife ended up with a bunch of bug bites.

Amazing hospitality because they have a thing called "The Manager's Special" every evening at 5:30pm to offer snacks and drinks to guests. Also, when I asked for more pillows and another set of blankets, they did not hesitate to provide them. Great hotel and staff

Very nice and spacious suite for the price. The breakfast buffet that was included was great. The accessible accommodations were okay. I don't feel pedastals sinks nor having shower controls that aren't reachable from the shower bench accessible features. I would stay again for shorter trips because of the price if I'm okay knowing I wouldn't be able to shower by myself.

Room was spacious. Stayed in a king suite. Was nice to have separate sleeping space and living room space. Microwave and mini fridge were great for leftovers. Location of hotel was great for me as I was only on business. A short walk or drive to the Washington Square Mall. The morning breakfast was above par. Omelet bar, warm breakfast choices, fresh fruit, oatmeal station and a handful of other options. Only complaints include slower Internet, unorganized and unreliable shuttle service, and low quality toilet paper. The positives outweighed the negatives overall.

Update:
I have returned to stay at this hotel twice since my initial review. While the positives regarding amenities are the same, I must say that I have been extremely disappointed with the customer service I have received my last two stays. The shuttle services promised to OSCPA attendees is hit and miss and the staff makes it very apparent that they do not enjoy shuttling you out to the OSCPA center. Keep in mind this is a marketed amenity of choosing to stay with them. It makes for arranging shuttle service awkward and I will admit that on my most recent stay I didn't even ask for the service in order to avoid the annoyed staff. My most recent stay also included a discrepancy in price between my online booking amount and what I was charged at check-in. The difference was chalked up to a "tax increase" between my booking date and stay date. I had booked online less than two months in advance however, and within the same calendar year, so I'm not sure if the explanation was just given to satisfy me or whether there was truth to it. The difference was minimal but I was staying at the hotel on business and had already submitted an expense report to my employer for the amount I was suppose to be charged. I was inconveniently told I would have to "call down and speak with accounting in the morning" in order to get it worked out. Being on business, I did not have the time to call and speak with accounting over a matter that should have never even been an issue. I ate the charge (well my employer did) and I decided to just explain the situation to my employer. Amenities don't make up for poor customer service, especially in the Portland area where there are plenty of hotels to choose from. I'll be finding different lodging accommodations upon my next stay.

In the last 3 years I have attended numerous functions at this Embassy Suite venue. Including Speed Networking and the annual Shining Stars events promoted by the Tigard Chamber of Commerce. It's a large hotel, but somehow they only have one set of elevators. If your room is next to the elevators, great, but if you got a room like min that was dead last in the coroner, it was a good two block walk just to get to the elevators. I ended up just taking the stairs most of the time.

On the bright side, the rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly (tho sometimes too friendly when they try to explain all amenities to you when you just want to go to your room).

I have visited Embassy Suites for a business trip with my football team so I didn't really get to stay very long. Even though we weren't able to stay around, it was a good experience. Disappointed was the word I would use. The room was great, location was awesome, but if you're planning on bringing a family, and using the pool, or banking on a solid breakfast, think again. The pool is A ZOO! It's way too small for the number of rooms/guests they have. Trying to find a table to eat breakfast is worse then playing musical chairs when you're there last two people left. Whatever you want to eat, they are out of something. They may have cereal, but no bowls. Sure there is surup, but no pancakes. Good luck parking a larger vehicle outside this place. Just plan on taking a couple spots. I'm not planning on staying here again anytime soon.

Overall a great experience. Yes, the building itself is old. However they have updated the entire interior (other than the shape of the building itself, of course). The wine at the reception (yes, they have a reception!) is gross, but it's free, folks. The free breakfast is very good. The room was clean, the towels were nice, the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Even the gym and pool area are nice. The restaurant food is not great and overpriced, but there are plenty of restaurant nearby.

I have a lot of young memories here. The suites are pretty suite, and it's a great place to relax in Portland. However, the air conditioning broke in our room, so we were required to switch, even after a person came and "fixed" it. There have been multiple reports of faulty air conditioning (luckily the next room's was working). We were offered a fan, which we declined. It would've been a nice gesture if the hotel was out of rooms. We had to.talk our way into getting a new suite. Besides the fiasco of the first night, the stay was great!

Overall a very nice hotel. I had a suite on the top floor and so I got a nice view. The breakfast in the morning wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. The room was good, had a comfortable bed, and the whirlpool was a nice as well. Would stay again given the opportunity.

Checked in to my room and noticed the A.C. was not working. The staff decided the solution was to turn off the lights and close the blinds. The temperature in the room was not terribly hot so I didn't push the issue. However, the a.c. is definitely not working. Like all embassy suites the rooms are nice and the breakfast is amazing. This property looks okay and is probably ready for some new carpet in the common areas. The dining room and bar are new and nice.

Normally do not write hotel reviews but this Hotel was amazing! I have stayed at several Embassy suites and this one is by far the best I have stayed at. This place is by far the best Embassy in the area. The pool is nice!

The suite rooms have a great, convenient layout, though living room is a bit dark and there is no hot water in the kitchenette area. The free breakfast is abundant! The cooked items are average buffet quality, though the omelette bar is excellent if the line isn't too long. Great food at the manager reception (on the less-crowded week-days). Average stuff when it is more crowded. Staff is friendly and very efficient. For those who like to use the stairs rather than elevators (which are actually very fast), there are stairwells in various places that make them super efficient. Pool is on the small side, spa is good sized. All are clean and the pool chemicals seem well-balanced--no overwhelming chlorine smell.

This is an excellent hotel. The customer service is excellent, and the continental breakfast is fantastic. We were in town for a girl's soccer tournament. We rented a suite and had some issues with our room keys not working. The manager upgraded us to the Presidential Suite at the price of a regular suite for our troubles. The bar had a great, casual atmosphere as well. We will be staying here again the next time we are in the area.

I love the location of this hotel because you can walk across the parking lot to a beautiful mall OR to a target! Being Canadian, these are great features! The place needs some renovating but they have a nice breakfast, we use Embassy Suites when we travel with our children because of the room layout. We've been to our fair share and I like the really options at this location. The pool is in a bad location, that is the only drawback. I do not want every person who rides the elevator looking in on me while swimming with my kids.

It's appropriate to update this review after our recent stay. I wouldn't have booked this location again after previous review however, fortunately I didn't know it was the same location.
They have updated its lay-out for breakfast. The lay-out has a much better flow to it and there is more elbow room. They do a great job on keeping tables cleared off & food stocked. The pool area is cleaner and it appears they have staff on a schedule for checking things..
Highly recommend this time around.

We stayed a the newly remodeled Embassy Suites by Washington Square and were amazed with the transformation. The lobby, the suites and the meeting rooms were all beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was like being at home. In addition, the breakfast provided on the main floor in the morning was over the top with a wide selection of offerings; they even had an omelet bar! Kudos to you! Thanks

Outstanding and friendly staff, a very successful recent renovation, and very quiet, comfortable rooms. This is absolutely one of the nicer business hotels I have stayed in. Good wireless also, even if it does cost an extra five bucks. I recommend this property and it's location without qualification.

Location was nice. Right next to a mall. The hotel was beautiful and everyone was nice. Defiantly nothing bad to say. Would love to stay here again. Management did a great job as a whole as well.

The location is unbeatable. It's about a 20 minute drive into downtown. Close to the mall and major stores such as Best Buy, Nordstrom, Macys. Close to most eateries. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The entire hotel is well kept and the place is inviting.

We had a very nice lunch. The service was great. The food was pretty good, but not outstanding. However, the restaurant staff was great with accommodating our table's seafood and dairy allergies.

Booked expensive meeting hall for corporate meeting. Flew people from all over the country. Embassy suites booked room next to us a party that is so loud we can't hear or presentation. This is many thousands of dollars being wasted.

Manager met me half way through day to apologize based on this review and explained that other group did not have plans to have made noise. Clearly they addressed it as it got significantly better. Appreciate efforts to admit mistakes and address as best possible.

Hotel is very nice, recently remodeled. Complimentary breakfast is excellent. Staff friendly & helpful. Close to mall, easy access to Beaverton. Short drive to Portland.

Great rooms and breakfast. Construction is currently taking place which detracted from yesterday experience.

A bit disorderly with the pending remodel, would recommend staying elsewhere until it's completed. I imagine it will be fairly nice when all is finished. Staff was friendly and doing their best with the limited resources available to them. They were all clearly tired of the mess and were ready to be "back to normal"

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect of my families stay! Kudos to the management team, (Will and Joe) on all their efforts to maintain a guest friendly hotel where customer service seems to be their number one focus.
My family and I have been guests of the hotel for over the past month, (due to a home fire). We tried another (5) Star hotel before coming to the Embassy Suites and was sadly disappointed. That stay lasted one night. Our family consists of all age levels from (7) months to senior citizen and everyone was made to feel welcome and treated as a valued guest. My (13) year old granddaughter said to me..."Nana...I like THIS place! They smile, ask how your day is and are so nice here"! It's true...The front desk staff, (James, Victor and Tiffany) are knowledgeable and ready to help with anything, (even an extra phone charger if you forgot yours). The maintenance team is readily available and will even provide their cell number for emergencies, (thanks Chris!). I have met and spoken with a number of the hospitality staff, (they actually sing and enjoy their work - and it shows!) and it is refreshing after working all day to come back to a spotless room with a comfortable bed and just relax. With all the amenities this hotel offers, (business/computer area, pool, hot tub, made to order free breakfast, free happy hour, near shopping and restaurants) it isn't surprising they are constantly booked, (so make your reservations early!). This hotel is a gem...and the staff has shown themselves to work as a cohesive team! Nice job Embassy and management, (Will and Joe)!!! A BIG Thank you!!!

Very nice place. A little outdated or it would have received five stars. The staff is very personable and all the rooms are spacious. Great value for what you pay.
