ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Great Hotel and super friendly staff. The room was beautiful and clean. The amenities were top notch. Close to restaurants and Starbucks. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the San Luis Obispo area.

Pretty nice rooms. It has a wide open lounge area with a full bar and a buffet style breakfast (with omelet bar). Friendly staff as well. Will definitely be staying here again!

Newly remodeled inside courtyard, restaurant and bar just allows bigger coldness and echoes. Nice suites with comfortable beds. Restrooms are small. Suites have full amenities with small fridge and microwave. I have stayed here many times and love their breakfast brunch in the new restaurant/couryard.

Nice hotel where the rooms are suites with a door between the bedroom area and the "living room." Each room has a fridge and microwave. Complimentary breakfast and "happy hour." Only complaint is the motion sensors prevent you from charging devices overnight via the bedside plug (you can still charge at the desk area).

Nice, clean hotel. Premium movie channels are included. Wifi is faster than most other hotels. Good sized pool and workout area. Free breakfast was fantastic.

Very nice hotel. Rooms face into large atrium. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and complimentary for us. Staff was very friendly and the other guests were well-behaved. Would highly recommend as a consideration when needing accommodation in this area.

Clean facility with friendly staff. The particular room we stayed in was listed as two bedroom suite but did not have a door or partition to separate areas. Hotel is kind of hidden in a commercial area. Noticed on several different occasions, transients loitering around the parking lot. I advised staff and they said they get that all the time. Saw security walking around inside in the morning but it was an elderly grandma looking lady not sure if she would be effective.

Quite a few perks compared to some of the more expensive hotels in the area! The people are very friendly and Matt the bartender can tell you about his travels around the world! When I stayed, there was happy hour from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on top of free snacks and free continental breakfast. The rooms were pretty nice and well-kept. It is right across from the Promenade and a few stores like Kohl's, World Market, Ulta and Best Buy. There is a free shuttle that goes to the airport as well. I ate the cheeseburger with fries for $13 and it was very good. The beds were very comfortable. I stayed in a room on the bottom floor. My only recommendation is that if you are disabled and have trouble getting through narrow walkways you may struggle between the living room that walks into the bedroom area. If you have a wheelchair or Walker you may want to request a handicap accessible bedroom. The hallways are thick carpet so if you struggle to walk or deal with weakness, you may have trouble pulling your suitcase or walking to your room if it's far away from the elevator as there is only one elevator location so that's just an FYI for those people who travel with disabled individuals. ;-) personally, I enjoyed my stay here more than I did at the Cliffs Resort. There's enough transportation that I can get to the beach and still have quite a few unique perks at this Embassy location.

This hotel is a good location - near the freeway with plenty of free parking. It's kind of behind a shopping center, so get directions. Their free happy hour and breakfast are good too. The rooms are comfortable and the service is good.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Wish I could give it more than five stars. Beautiful hotel staff was more than friendly and accommodating. Gym was large and clean. Evening reception was great, as was the breakfast. First time I was really sad to leave a hotel!

Our rooms were a great value compared to some of the other hotels in the area. Well appointed with very comfortable bedding. Front desk help seemed a little disconnected. The included breakfast buffet was a home run. You won't find stale cereal and Danish here. Everything was very fresh and the omelette bar is great. Next time we visit SLO this is where we will stay.

Staff is really nice. The hotel has been remodeled and looks nice. A lot of the nearby stores have closed up. Our room, 239, is on the inside and right above the bar/restaurant area; as such, things were very noisy into the evening and around 0530 when they start setting up for breakfast. There is also some sort of laundry machine nearby that makes a lot of noise.

The atrium of this hotel was gorgeous, new, and very clean. The room we got though was older looking with a grungy carpet. There were standard amenities: coffee maker, glass cups, mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, clean towels, TV, etc. The mini-fridge smelled weird and was pretty dinky. Additionally the ventilation system was super loud. I kept checking to see if the AC, heat, or fan was on but even when those were off, the standard air circulating made a lot of noise. The breakfast was exactly the same every morning: eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, omelet bar, fruit, yogurt, and pastries. We found green mold spots on a bagel and when my mom alerted one of the staff members, her response was, "Well, we had a slow week last week." My mom just widened her eyes and said, "Thank you for your honesty" then stopped eating anything from that point on. The room service pizza was terrible and undercooked (raw tasting dough) but the quesadillas were decent.

Rooms are spacious and are true suites with a separate living room that also had a pull out sofa. Parking is free. The made to order breakfast was nice. Lots of options. Hotel is located nest to a mall with Bed Bath and Beyond and a World Market.

Stayed for one week at the Embassy Suites, enjoyed the large guest rooms that were clean and comfortable, however could use some modern updating. Hotel was under renovations during our stay but it was not overly noticeable. Free Happy Hour in the evenings with snacks, cocktails, wine etc. and free extensive breakfast buffet every morning including hot and cold options and made to order omelette station. Breakfast was very busy every morning and a bit chaotic, staff tried to keep the buffet full as possible but at times food and beverages ran out for periods of time. Overall this is a reasonably priced place to stay in a good location in SLO with access to amenities, close to shopping and the airport.

Guests rooms are large and I liked the sitting area. Room service was decent. They offer a cocktail hour in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is extensive. A short walk to a shopping center and a quick drive to the airport. Lots of parking available.

But the service was great (more the 5 stars)

Rooms are fine, though the sofabed in our room is showing some wear. Lobby is nice. Breakfast was below average. We stay at a lot of Embassy Suites because they work well for our family of five. This hotel is smaller than most with only four floors. But it is next to a big shopping area which is a plus. It was fine for one night while we were visiting family but I wouldn't vacation here as a destination.

I've been staying here during the week for 7 weeks now. The Hotel is doing a lot of remodeling and will be really nice when finished. The free breakfast is amazing. So many choices including made to order omelets and eggs. They have complimentary open bar with appetizers every night from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The rooms are nice but carpets need deep cleaning and the maid service is not very good on a consistent basis by forgetting to leave clean towels, not making the bed, and a couple of times skipped my room all together. Overall great hotel but need to clean the carpets and require a higher standard with the cleaning staff.

Nicely decorated rooms, great size, and wonderful customer service! I loved the breakfast with made to order omelets and the evening reception with free drinks and snacks. The bartender was very nice! Currently the atrium is undergoing construction and while it's an eye soar, there was thankfully no sounds of construction during our stay. I'm sure it'll be beautiful once completed. Quick drive or Uber into downtown.

We had a great stay at the Embassy Suites, this is where we stay every time we visit San Luis Obispo area. The staff is always friendly and despite some construction in the lobby area, the hotel is quiet and the rooms are clean. We like coming here with our family because it's close to everything and has a delicious breakfast in the morning. We will stay there again!

Atrium will be beautiful when completed. Breakfast was great with made to order omelets and lots of fruit. Hotel was nice and quiet even though we were on the freeway side. If you're looking for true rest though, seek a relationship with Jesus Christ... read God's precious Word, the Bible, where true rest and peace are found. ...Matthew 11:28 come to me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Jesus Christ desires a relationship with you!!!

The Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo has been a family tradition going on for about 4 years if memory serves; We feel it is the best hotel in town, as we have literally gotten fleas from others in the area. While that sets the bar low, the comforts of a Hilton are not overlooked. The nightly reception including complementary alcoholic beverages is by far one of the most appealing ways to wind down after a long nights drive. The place never seems too crowded and I get the feeling they take advantage of this to give their guests about three rooms spacing so people dont get bothered by potentially unruly guests. Overall, a perfect resting spot for a Californian 'Stay-cation'

I'm trying not to downrate the hotel too much but if you're planning a trip in the next six weeks, please be aware:. The hotel is undergoing major renovations in the atrium and is extremely noisy and dusty until about 7 PM. Food service suffers too since it is displaced. My review for last night would have been two or one star. People are nice and the room was fine but the experience was poor.

Mixed emotions with this place, rooms are clean and the beds are really comfy always a plus. Also, breakfast was really good same as costumer service. However the swimming pool was super dirty and in a bad shape; also was a bit pricey for the condition of the hotel.

First time staying at an Embassy Suites and it's pretty impressive. You get a big room (with separate living quarters that has a sofa bed) and it's clean and functional. Be warned that the bottled water in the room will cost you $3.50.

Surprisingly, their complimentary breakfast is real good and they serve Peet's Coffee. The location is just of the freeway towards the back but it's within walking distance to nearby shops and supermarket. This hotel is also about a 15 minute drive to Pismo beach

We stayed there at a time when the lobby was being remodeled. So we had to enter at the side entrance. The whole place does need a refresh. However the king size bed in our room was super comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good. You could have omelets cooked to order. A good bargain!

Lovely breakfast. The set up is a bit odd having the bathroom in the middle of the room separating the sleeping area and living area. The balcony faced the interior lobby so you could hear breakfast goers. No free wifi unless you sign up for their rewards. Parking free.

We had a great experience we got a low price of $98 for a sat night. Travelering with our 1 yr old baby the room was renovated, perfectly setup, and clean! We will definitely be staying here again!

They tried...
Between the fire alarm that no one knew how to turn off and the lack of hot water between 6-9am I was frustrated. The staff, however, kept up brave faces and were pleasant while working hard to turn things around. The breakfast was great, the rooms were nice but the facility is old and the staff needs more training about operating the facility.

Hotel is located in a shopping plaza, so the main entrance can be difficult to find. Hotel rooms are nice & spacious. It's kind of hard to give it a low review when they have free (and good) breakfast and happy hours everyday.

The hotel itself isn't the newest, but it's definitely not motel status. Walking in, there is a cool atrium with high ceilings, natural lighting, plenty of tables and lots of fake trees for a garden-y atmosphere. Check in was easy and they have a huge parking lot. The room itself was okay - nothing extraordinary, but you will get a comfortable night's rest.

The breakfast in the morning is a full continental breakfast including an omelette station. There is a decent selection so you'll definitely find something to eat. I immediately headed over to the omelette station.

There is also a happy hour in the afternoon with a few selection of beer, wine, and some snack items like chips and salsa, veggie sticks and crackers.

Overall, it's a good place to stay and it's right off the freeway. And all the free food helps as well :)

You WILL enjoy your stay at SLO's Embassy Suites once you've accepted the reality that the overwhelming majority of accommodations in the San Luis Obispo area adjust their prices based on consumer demand generated by CAL POLY's calendar. It's all about supply and demand. If you can plan your visit on an "off-period" for the university, you'll like it even more. Embassy Suites is my hotel of choice. The Embassy Suites at SLO lives up to the fine reputation enjoyed by the ES brand. Staff is courteous, rooms are clean and comfortable, parking is convenient and the location is great. My hotel of choice when visiting SLO. Be advised, if planning to book for a weekend you know will be busy, you must book very early if you hope to get a room.
