From the front desk, to the text messages welcoming our arrival and following up on our stay, it was very nice. Our only complaint is the parking options. Yes, its downtown Tampa so its very limited to space but for us, having to leave to drop my wife at the Straz Theatre then pick her up after, it was a big inconvenience. Parking rates were rather high as well. Overall happy with our stay. Staff was great! Just not a fan of having to pay extra to park!

Everything has been great! The breakfast was amazing. The location to the convention centre was awesome as they even have a walkway to it from the hotel. The only thing are the elevators are slow as there are a lot of floors (20) and there are 4 of them so it gets busy when the hotel is full. Overall one of the best convention hotels I've stayed at.

We stayed for one night before boarding our cruise the next day. The happy hour was fabulous. The bartender made drinks quickly and efficiently. The other hotel guests also seemed enjoy it. As always, the breakfast was great with omelettes and potatoes and bacon and oatmralamd yogurt, etc. Our two-room suite suited me and my other two fellow guests well. They got their own beds, and I stayed on the surprisingly comfortable pullout couch. Our corner room offered plentiful views of the bay and the cityscape. I would definitely come back again.

The hotel had a great location and looked fantastic. The glass elevator let you take in views of downtown Tampa and the water. Our room looked great and had a nice view. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious. Only complaint were a couple small issues with the bathroom (a dying exhaust fan and a tub spout that needed to be caulked again). I'm sure they'll have them fixed for the next guest, I only stayed one night.

Everything was great at the hotel. Valet was reasonable for our overnight stay. Car service and retrieval was always very fast. Our room was perfect. Beautiful water view from the 18th floor. Breakfast and the manager's reception was the best I've ever experienced at an embassy suites. The hotel was a couple minute walk from our concert and many dining options. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Rooms are nice because they have separate living and sleeping areas. The breakfast and evening reception is always a plus. Kind of tacky decor, but I don't really care about that sort of stuff. Always enjoy Embassy Suites. Update: the valet service has been beyond a nightmare all weekend we stayed. Horrible system, just be prepared when coming and going with a car.

Not gonna lie. It was pretty freaking awesome. If you're iffy, pull the trigger. I stayed here with the family, while we waited to board our cruise. Room was cozy, and awesome, and most importantly staff was awesome. I like to have fun, so I went up to the 20th floor and dropped quarters into the pond in the lobby. Staff saw us do it, and laughed. Don't forget to tip the omelette makers, because they made the BEST omelette I have ever had. Tampa is awesome. Embassy is awesome.

We stayed for my wife's birthday. We managed to get a room on the top floor and it felt great, right up until I got out of the elevator and saw the balcony like hallway. A fear of heights makes this not the hotel for you. Beyond that it was amazing. The location was beautiful, the reception was the best we've had, the breakfast was great. No issues with the room and the staff was friendly and helpful. We made a last minute reservation change and they handled it flawlessly. We definitely want to come back, but we'll see about a lower floor next time.

Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. I had some packages shipped to me at the hotel for a conference and the staff received them for me without issue. Breakfast in the morning was top- notch, the best we have ever experienced. Location was beautiful and very close to a great deal of amenities. Definitely recommend!

It was beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I stayed in suite 418 and everything was nice until the middle of the night on our last night the bathroom smelled like raw sewage. The bathtub and sink drained very slowly. I did tell the front desk and they said they’d make a note of it. Had it been our first night I would have asked to be moved to another suite

Stayed here bc work picked this hotel. The room was hot and noisy esp if you get city view. I got absolutely no sleep; between the traffic noise then some sort of banging outside my window it was a rough week. The bed sounded like it was falling apart. Only pros were the breakfast area, it was large and there was a variety of items and a Starbucks on site. But that is definitely not worth returning for next year! I would choose the Marriott next door.

I stayed at the embassy suites for a conference and the staff was amazing to work with. The front desk staff were helpful in correcting a booking issue, making the process easy and quick. The social hour was great with quality drinks and friendly, funny bartenders. The rooms were comfortable, well maintained and clean. Overall, I had a great stay and will look forward to visiting again.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... The rooms are huge, we have a microwave, fridge, and a TV in both the bedroom and sitting area. If you're on the side with the river, the views are absolutely beautiful. They have a restaurant that's quite good and a Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel is pretty fancy, with a valet and everything. The inside lobby is really cool in my opinion, since it's decorated with lots of palm trees and fountains. The elevator is also cool since it has an outside view as you rise to the top of the building. The pool is also really cool! I really really like it here

Great hotel and stay! The staff was nice, the room was great, and the area was close to everything. Only complaint would be that it got pretty humid in there...I think that was due to the large water fountain they have.

Amazing place to stay!! Right downtown Tampa Bay! Happy hour between 530 and 730 for free drinks and snacks! Also, the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had. Enjoy bacon, ready to make omlettes, hash browns, fresh fruit and so much more!!!! The people who work here are friendly and willing to help wherever needed. I would definitely stay here again anytime!!!!

It was a very nice building with a very clean look and well lit. The food was excellent and wasn't something I had before. The only downside was the valet was slow in the building itself. The valets themselves were nice and worked well, but the clerks at the desk didn't seem to mind taking as long as they did. I would recommend to others.

Embassy Suites was great as always. Breakfast buffet is the same good quality as every Embassy Suites. Only reason for one less star is the Starbucks was still under construction and so they used the lobby bar to serve Starbucks, and that wasn't really at the level of efficiency or as welcoming as you'd normally expect.

The hotel itself is quite beautiful. Pros: -The rooms are very large. -Complimentary breakfast includes omelettes, breakfast buffet, and more. -Beds are comfortable. - Shower is great. - Nice views Cons: - $28 per day mandatory valet parking is the only option for parking. - Rooms are somewhat dirty. Found pills under bathroom vanity. - Elevators are very slow and generally small. They fill very quickly. - Very noisy halls with other drunk guests. Overall, the hotel is nice, but I'd probably stay somewhere else on a return visit.

The hotel is within walking distance of cruise terminal 3. If you have lots of bags, a shuttle will take you to the terminal for $5 a person (cash). There isn't very much to eat around if you get in late. Though Hat trick, a local sports bar, has decent bar food. Otherwise, standard accommodations. Easy check-in, but there is only one front desk person after 10pm.

I had the choice of staying at the Embassy Suites or the Marriott for a conference I was attending in Tampa. I selected the Embassy Suites while my colleagues stayed at the Marriott. I made the better choice. Complimentary breakfast was to die for. I enjoyed a hearty breakfast provided by the hotel, while my colleagues had to purchase theirs at $16. The two hour complimentary cocktail time was a very unexpected treat as well. Once again I made my colleagues jealous. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to those visiting downtown Tampa. Thanks for a very wonderful stay and for all the extra treats. 5+ Stars.

I got a lower floor suite. One of my windows faces a wall but the other overlooks the convention center. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. The staff is very polite. I got a ginger ale at the bar. The service was great, but the drink was over $3. The bartender have me free refills though, so it wasn't too bad. I also went back later and got their hamburger lunch deal. The deal came with a cheeseburger, chips and a drink. The hamburger was cooked very nicely, and was a great deal for the money .

Beautiful hotel with a great view and great Tampa location! Right next to the convention center and just a short walk from Amalie Arena or Jackson's restaurant. The room I stayed in was very clean and didn't have any obvious issues, I had no problems and was very comfortable. Front desk staff were great, the staff member that brought lunch into our business meeting was very professional. Highly recommend. Embassy suites happy hour is awesome nightly and they always have the best complementary breakfast! Only gripe is the mandatory Valet parking.

The Embassy Suites here at the Tampa Convention Center was a good place to stay for the local convention. My room was a cozy suite with a mini-fridge and a microwave (Among other things...), and the room service is impeccable. Flourless chocolate cake is one of their specialties, and eating it is a transcendent experience. Not to mention the hotel has a Starbucks on-site, and a little gift shop where you can buy snacks and toiletries. I would definitely come here again.

Nice hotel overall, just expensive. Very convenient, though, if you are attending a convention next door. Valet parking is provided to the hotel parking garage, which is also convenient if not pricy...so convenience w/ a cost vs scrambling to find parking & taking a taxi to & from garage or hotels to the convention center. Book early to get the best rate.

Clean comfortable rooms and pleasant staff. The bathtub drained slowly but no major complaints. (Room 721) we were told there was no self parking at the hotel so we valet parked $28 p/n. The valet was great and the bellman was courteous and friendly as well.

Clean rooms and facilities, fitness room was nice but small, pool is very small. Stayed here for work, so the small pool was not a problem, but if bringing kids it could be. The location is great for convention center or Amalie Arena, also enjoyed the Riverwalk. There is a trolley stop right in front of the hotel, which is convenient, and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

They do have some have minor annoyances to them. Like the mirror being mounted too low so that faucet wouldn't go all the way back. Happy hour downstairs is nice. The gym is modern but a bit small and needs more equipment. Breakfast is pretty standard and nothing that will surprise. 4 elevators that are generally quick except at peak traffic times. The price feels just a bit high all things considered but that's driven by the location.

While a convenient and nicely decorated hotel, the a/c in my room just wouldn't pimp out any air. It was only I. The 80's that day and I turned the air down from 70 to 68 with the fan on high... The night was uncomfortable due to the warmth. Additionally the water in the shower would randomly go from the temperature you set to scolding in an instant and stay there until you turned the water off and then back in again. I tried turning it all the way to cold but it was still scolding hot. If these two things were right it would have been a 5 star stay!

The hotel location is great! As far as the actual hotel, the rooms are a little dated. As others have said, the air conditioning leaves something to be desired, they have some energy conservation program on the thermostat. I found out on my last night, however, that if you ask them, they can override the program. Overall it is a decent hotel.

While this hotel is highly convenient to the convention center, there are many items that need improvement. 1. The breakfast buffet is decent, but very limited. 2. I reported a maintenance issue (the door handle was separating from the door itself) that was not repaired. 3. The restaurant: HIGHLY overpriced for food that is mediocre at best. OK, it's a hotel restaurant which comes at a premium due to the convenience, but that's no excuse to use yellow cheese sauce instead of cheese or to use fatty meat. There are plenty of restaurants that deliver for 1/2 the price, use them. The Marriott is directly across the courtyard and about 50 feet further from the doors to the convention center. Try them instead. What kept them from getting 1 star? THE STAFF is VERY friendly!

We ate lunch here after walking down the river walk. The food was fairly decent for a hotel restaurant but the wait was a little long (which I feel is typical for hotels). It was one of only a few restaurants open in the downtown area so it worked out well for us.

The hotel is very nice but they only have 4 elevators to sevice guest needs and the fridge in my room did not have a temperature control and my drinks kept freezing and there is not a temperature control for the room either. The service from the staff is top notch. All in all it's a average stay at a premium price.

If you are taking the Florida Bar Exam, this is the place for you to stay. It's a beautiful hotel. It's connected to the convention center via sky bridge, which makes it easy to go back and forth during lunch. You don't need to find parking. They even have lunch and hit dinner forms for bar examinees whose law schools aren't there, not providing lunch, or examinees who just want to not eat lunch with their school. This came in handy a lot. The only downfall was my celery was filthy during my dinner room service and the room service guy didn't discount it as promised. Oh, and my King bed was not ready when I arrived, so I opted for a double.

The hotel is clean and well furnished. There is a Starbucks in the hotel, so that's always a plus! The hotel restaurant is solid, but there aren't a ton of options outside of the alcohol selection. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great food, lots of room to sit.

Rented 2 rooms for a night. One room had fair air conditioning, the other was poor and couldn't cool the room adequately. Bottled water in the room was almost $4 a bottle. Hotel parking was valet only and almost impossible to find the entrance. $24 for valet parking and a whopping $30 added on if you didn't retrieve your car before checkout. No program guide on the TV. They require you to download and PAY for a program guide on one of their apps to see what's showing on the channels (of which there were probably less than 40, not counting news and hotel info, etc). Long waits for elevators. 4 of them handling 20 floors. Complete waste of money. The only reason we stayed there was to get to the convention center easily since walking causes me excruciating pain. Choose another place if you can.

This hotel has all of the amenities that I'd like a hotel to have. They provide a coupon code for the Wi-Fi, free breakfast, they even have a free drink pass for certain hours. they have a microwave and a fridge in the room everything that we could need and right next to the convention center!

This hotel is wonderful. They offer a complementary happy hour in the evening. It is a limited bar with 3 beers to choose from on tap. However the hotel room is a little disappointing in some areas. The air conditioning is lacking. The thermostat claims it's been lowered however after many hours of waiting I beg to differ. The bed is uncomfortable. I woke up with a crick in my neck.

Fun hotel. Nice rooms and very close to downtown stuff. Only complaint is the "pool spa". It's literally 6 feet wide and like 30 feet long and about 4 feet deep. It got crowded with about 15 people in it. If you go when it's busy, don't plan on swimming a lot.
