This 4 Diamond urban retreat features spacious and renovated guest rooms and suites including an exclusive concierge level, Fairmont Gold.

The pool, hot tub and change rooms open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Unwind after a long day or energize yourself for a new one at our Health Club, located on the third floor overlooking Stanley Park and the North Shore Mountains.
Come visit our rooftop vegetable and herb garden and honey bee apiary! On the 3rd floor of the hotel rests a 2,100 square foot herb garden which also became one of Vancouver's first green roofs. We also welcomed honeybees to our roof in 2008, providing a symbiotic relationship between the hives and the existing rooftop garden. Our bee butler offers daily bee tours between the months of May and September, open to the public!

Simple, fresh, local and handcrafted. Our restaurant, ARC, is the perfect West Coast Setting to enjoy urban food created by Executive Chef Karan Suri incorporating our honey from our rooftop apiary and vegetables and herbs from the rooftop garden. The Chefs Bench is a place to experience hands on culinary expertise and share something truly special. The uniquely curved space offers a sensational bar, which is the vibrant hub for meeting old friends and new. Check out the chalk board for Chefs picks, pair them with local craft beers, world-class wines and cocktails mixed to perfection. Life is complicated. Good food shouldnt be.

Green Key Eco-Rating Program 5

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

WWF

WWF aims to build a future where human needs are met in harmony with nature.

It is focused on 6 ambitious goals with people at the center:
WWF's work has evolved from saving species and landscapes to addressing the larger global threats and forces that impact them. Recognizing that the problems facing our planet are increasingly more complex and urgent. The new strategy puts people at the center and organizes our work around six key areas: forests, marine, freshwater, wildlife, food and climate. By linking these six areas in an integrated approach, WWF can direct all resources to protecting vulnerable places, species and communities worldwide.

People are at the center because together we can change the trajectory of the threats to nature, and help ensure nature's ability to provide - for the sake of every living thing, including ourselves. To accomplish goals, WWF works to educate and influence people into making sustainable choices and decisions, including those who work in business and make decisions around the use of natural resources, and those who work in government and set policy that impacts nature.

I am so sorry that I did no realize that by mistake in my other review I clicked 1 star only . Like I said this is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Yet I still think that the wall paper could have been fixed without much effort.I don't know about the restaurant.I would gladly stay there again.I and my husband enjoyed staying there.

I attended an event for Pride Day in the foyer. As always, it was beautifully maintained and was a great venue. The food, drinks and desserts were delicious! The staff were all really friendly and full of character which helped us be just as lively. The fact that the Fairmont is supporting and hosting an event like this is an amazing thing. I look forward to more in the future!

Fantastic location and view. Perfect for spending some time in Vancouver before a cruise. Hotel also transported our luggage to the cruise ship. Highly recommended!

Had the queen bed room, although I would have preferred a more comfortable bed, (it was actually a little creeky) the room was large and impeccable. The service throughout the hotel is top notch and right now I am enjoying a drink on the pool deck with a view of the harbor... So all in all a wonderful stay!

Great location, rooms are quite nice, there are some good views, and service as excellent as you'd expect it to be. The outdoor pool / garden with a nice view and lots of seating (and during the day a tended bar) is a highlight. The hotel restaurant is good, though a bit pricier than is really earned. The "health club" is not heavily stocked with equipment, but that's typical.

Hosted a bachelorette here yesterday. Exceptional service. Literally waterfront view of Canada Place, water, ships, helicopter landings. The decorations where perfect for the occasion and very classy. Walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and shopping etc. Literally right by the sky train, we were all in heels and we're able to walk to the Granville strip and back! Be specific about the address because there are 3 locations and we had some confused guests! All are within walking distance if you don't mind a little exercise!

I feel like the Fairmont waterfront is my home away from home. This is the perfect location for a mini get away. The ameninities and room and always exceptionally clean! The service is always outstanding and how could you deny either the city view or harbour view, both are gorgeous. With a relaxing garden to roam around, to their harbour view pool and gym, the Fairmont waterfront definitely gives me the most relaxing nights I have experienced! Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I had our first-look wedding photography and our wedding ceremony in the 3rd floor herb garden in May, and we couldn't have been happier. Their staff was all so amazing and helpful to us for our big day. The herb garden itself was beautiful and the location had so many good qualities for the photography. Nicole in particular was a huge help in puttig this all together. Thank you!

I love this Fairmont, mainly for the rooftop outdoor pool. It has such a great view; one side being right downtown and the other of Vancouver harbour and the North Shore mountains. The location of the hotel allows you to get a great view of Stanley Park/city/ocean and mountains. The Fairmont signature lotion/shampoo/conditioner is always a pleasure too!

I was at the Fairmont Waterfront for a business after hours party this week. It was held in one of the main ballrooms on the main floor. It was a DJ providing the music and there was a cash bar with light snacks. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent customer service

Very beautiful hotel. The view from the water side is breathtaking. The rooms are very elegant. The only issues I have are that everything is down feathered and there are no foam pillows in the room. The rooms don't have a mini fridge. There is no free WiFi available. There is a lot of pizazz, but you don't get the little things.

We stayed here for a night a few weeks back. The Pacific Rim has been our usual spot but our friends stayed and told us we had to and try the Gold level. Separate concierge, bar and breakfast area. Loved the service by the hotel, took the town car to the restaurant. It was an amazing stay with an amazing view too. Would stay again!

Be forewarned: there is a mandatory $49 fee for parking for each day (same price for valet and self-park). It was a very nice hotel, with very good reviews, and seemingly reasonably priced. However, when booking on Hotels.com, there is no forewarning of this extra fee (or the $15 fee for wifi).

Ultimately, this fee would have been acceptable. However, when I inquired about it to the front desk, the well dressed attendant was contemptuous. It was a subtle interaction. She said the standard lines, but her sneer said, “you’re low class for even asking about the fee”. It's hard to explain a disdainful look based on wealth(or the lack of it), but when you're on the receiving end of distaste, you know it.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I went to my room and cried. I felt like I was a mud stain on their marble floors, like my clothes were too old, like my makeup was too cheap, like my car was too affordable to be in their luxury parking lot.

So, I'd like to (hopefully) catch the next young economical couple visiting Vancouver. Please, be careful. This hotel is for folks with abundant cash. If you find a good deal online, it’s a misleading and disingenuous price.

This review is for their bar and restaurant. The place is very spacious and clean looking. Very good for casual meetings and business meetings.. easy to talk to someone here over drinks. The staff was friendly and attentive as expected.. very nice location near the waterfront with great views. A great date night idea as well. Not too far from Stanley Park so you can walk a few miles down there if you're staying at the hotel, a scenic walk down the waterfront. Overall a great experience and would return for food or drinks anytime.

The Waterfront is one of the best hotels in Vancouver. Between the location and the view it can't be beat. The restaurant on the ground floor has a tremendous breakfast buffet and the hotel's door staff can't be beat. There is easy access to an underground food court and shopping district that makes for a very convenient stay. The gym could be a bit bigger but that would be the only extremely minor downside of the hotel.

Great time... the location is great proximty to all the downtown venues and restaurants.... the view of the harbour from the room is amazing... I love watching the float planes take off and land. The room was very well furnished and clean. The noise from the pools late night guests was a little annoying .... otherwise great place to stay

I was there for a friend's wedding. The space was nice and the staff seemed pretty attentive. We hung out in the hotel lounge while waiting for the reception. Again staff was relatively attentive, although with multiple events happening throughout the hotel that day they seems stretched a bit thin. Food was good and the ambience was nice, although perhaps a bit too noisy as I found myself yelling at time to talk to friends or order from the waitress. I didn't stay at the hotel itself so I can't really comment on the rooms but overall a positive experience there.

Attended an event at the Fairmont Waterfront in their ballroom. The interior of the hotel lobby, hallways, foyer and ballroom are stunning and welcome a feeling that is exquisite and expected of The Fairmont brand. Even though the event was large and had hundreds of attendees, the staff at The Fairmont were very kind and professional. An amazing venue!

We stayed in room 2302-2301 the family suit.

Amazing room with one of the best views ever in my life. On the mountains and Harbor.

From the valet to the barman to the reception it was just perfection on all levels.

Surprisingly not that expensive for the 5 star experience.

I've never stayed in a five star hotel before. There really is a difference. It's a lot of little things that add up to an exceptional experience. To celebrate our 30th anniversary my wife and I are splurging.

Perfect example of this is the curtains. You know how there is always that gap in hotel curtains you can never quite close. At the Fairmont Waterfront the curtain tracks overlap about 6 inches so you can get the room totally dark.

The sheets were nicer than home. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was attentive to our every need. The view from our room was amazing. The location is great for walking.

If you can afford it, stay here.

Fairmont service is the best! I arrived around noon and my room wasn't ready yet (I didn't expect that it would be) but they stored my luggage AND gave me a card for a free drink. The rooms are plush, though not as trendy as the Fairmont Pacific Rim down the street. There's a lovely rooftop garden next to the pool area - and don't miss having a look at the demonstration beehive in the garden. Very cool! This hotel is right across from the cruise terminal, so a great choice if you're heading out on a ship. If you have your cruise tags on your luggage, the bell staff will pick up your bags from your room and transfer them (deadline 11 am) directly to the ship. You won't have to see them again until they're delivered to your cabin. Loved that!

A lovely place in an interesting part of North Vancouver. Wonderful waterfront venues with fine dining, entertainment, and shopping. Get to downtown by taking a Seabus with reasonable rates. The bar and dining at the hotel are worth going to even if you're not staying there. The hotel has a great pool and spa area with swimming pool, sauna, hot tubs and all the right amenities like a sun deck, etc.The rooms are Euro style, clean and we'll equipped.

Great location, beautiful view, very helpful concierge, and convenient business center with free laser printing (super fast). I booked less than 2 weeks in advance during a time of multiple conventions, so that is why I paid a high room rate but was rewarded with the highest floor (23) with waterfront view where I can watch the sea planes take off and land. The rest of the room is pretty standard, but the toiletries are Le Labo, a nice surprise. The concierge booked a dinner reservation only 2 hours in advance with patio seating (water view) on a Tuesday night. When we got there, we were offered a different table, but after we explained our hotel concierge told us we had a patio view, we got the patio table after a few minutes wait when a party left earlier than expected. I suspect it helped that our hotel called for us.

Fantastic experience. The room was very spacious and luxurious and our view of the harbor was phenomenal. The location was fantastic, we spent one day just wandering to the nearby stores and the next day were guided by the concierge team to a nearby bike rental spot which we used to bike through nearby Stanley park. The service was outstanding all around. I would definitely return.

You can't beat this location. We stayed one night for a quick vacation & were able to visit Canada Place, Stanley Park, Gastown, and Granville Island by walking or taking short taxi rides. The service was phenomenal. The concierge gave us tips on bike rentals for the park and getting around town. The room was large, and comfortable with a cozy bed, nice TV with HDMI hook-up, and a beautiful view of the harbor. Would love to come back here!

Great hotel. Fantastic customer service. Without hesitation they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. They brought my service dog up a bed, bowl, and treat. Only suggestion would be more accessible areas for service dog relief. One the third floor by the pool area would be perfect of it had a ramp up to the grass area.

Very close to the waterfront, which is a great location even if you're not doing a cruise out of the terminal. We felt like we were in the heart of the city it was very vibrant. We even saw the filming of Deadpool 2 nearby which sort of completed the package of Vancouver for me!

Amazing waterfront views from our room, the wait staff in the restaurant and lounge were friendly and very helpful. The location is pefect for walking or biking the waterfront, watching the cruise ships and float planes, shopping and dining. The Fairmont is literally across the street from the Pan Pacific Hotel and where the cruise ships dock. We were there on July 2, 2017 prior to boarding the Crystal Serenity to Alaska. The hotel will even help you with your bags to the dock if needed. Just know that the hotels location and popularity can make the street in front of the hotel very busy but the rooms are quiet, luxurious and the views outstanding, even at night facing the water it's beautiful. It was the perfect way to start our trip.

Great service. I came to the hotel a bit earlier than check in time but a room wasn't ready yet. Thanks to the good service, I was able to express the city early since I was able to drop off bags at bell service, who brought my bags to the room once it was ready, and get a text message from the front desk to alert me that the room was ready.

Took a taxi there from the airport, ($35.00) was a fairly long ride, or seemed like it. Price was $239.00/night, but room was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Has a restaurant and drinks. Is across the street from the cruise terminal. The bell captain will see that your luggage gets to your ship for $20.00. Could not have planned it better.

Hotel is very nice and the pool area is great. Staff are super friendly. Stayed and paid for a signature king with harbour view but could only see 30% of the ocean because of buildings. Was just looking at the seabus and loading dock. There was no floor to ceiling windows, like the website says, but the room was still nice. . It looked identical to the partial view room on their website ..make sure you are specific when you say you want an ocean view and ask for one with Stanley park in it.

What a lovely hotel! We only got to stay here for a night, but we will absolutely be back. Julien (?) checked us in upon arrival and, when we let him know we were staying for my boyfriend's birthday, he hooked us up with an awesome room on the top floor with a gorgeous view of the water! What a difference a little extra effort from one person can make for an entire experience!
The room was perfect, clean, modern and very comfortable. Did I mention the sweet birthday soda and candies left in the room for Ryan with a little note? What a thoughtful touch!
The in-room dining menu includes a vegan burger and a few other vegan-friendly items! Thanks for that, Fairmont!
The hotel is in a great location too, with plenty to do within walking distance.
We had such a wonderful time and will absolutely be back.

PS- We were especially pleased with the bar downstairs and the quality Bloody Marys :)

Has a nice large protected front entrance to make arrival by car safe and convenient. The reception personnel are super friendly and helpful making you feel special. The guest rooms have lots of windows and great views of the surrounding area. They are also very comfortable and have everything that a weary traveller needs to relax and be spoiled.
For some fresh air and exercise you can walk out the front door and walk for miles along the waterfront in a classy safe environment with plenty to see and do.
I have stayed in other hotels but will patronize the fairmont Waterfront as my favourite Vancouver hotel.

I've been to a lot of Fairmont properties, but by far this location is still my favorite. It is very romantic to have in room dining especially in a room with a view of the water and mountain. If you get a room facing northeast it is fun to watch the light from Grouse mountain at night.
I always enjoy the drink and Kim Crawford's wine at the lobby restaurant. As usual service is very attentive.

Review is based on hosting events.

I've helped execute many events at the Fairmont Waterfront not only in the Waterfront Ballroom, but also in the hotel's many auxiliary meeting rooms, which are all lovely. Service is first-class; we've worked with the same banquet captain for years and she's absolutely the best at her job relative to every venue I've had the pleasure of working. Fairmont hotels in general make an effort to accommodate dietary requests, but Waterfront is just nicer about it. I can never have the default dessert because of food allergies, but I don't recall ever being served a fruit cup or fruit plate. They always have an alternative vegan dessert and endeavour to serve it—definitely one of my favourite venues to work at.

I attended a conference here. The service was impeccable and the food was great as well. I have not stayed here personally but the hotel is situated in a great location with the best views in Vancouver.

Was given a corner room with "view", however this property was built behind the Pan Pacific which blocks most of the North shore view. Also there is considerable traffic noise throughout the night owing to the commercial nature of the waterfront and nearby convention centre. On the 15th floor was still able to hear truck backup beeps clearly. Housekeeping started knocking on neighbouring doors at 9:15AM, which is respectable, but unfortunately sound carries very well from the hall through the room door. HVAC was very responsive and quiet.

Have not found fault with this hotel. Very accommodating. We advised that we had the flu when checking in. They offered us a humidifier for the room. When breakfast was delivered they telephoned afterwards to ask how everything was. So thoughtful. Wish that I was feeling better and able to make use of the full suite of hotel facilities but not this trip.

I came here for a professional law and accounting event. It was in a nice conference room with chandeliers. There were appetizers and cocktails which were nice touches. Overall, it was a great event and the venue made it!

I had the best experience here last night. The people at the front desk were so nice in calling me and my friends a cab and allowing us to warm up in the lobby. The people are so hospitable and kind. 100 points to Eric!

Our stay at the Fairmont Waterfront was superb. We were upgraded to a partial waterfront view, then further upgraded to one with a bathtub for our daughter. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and they had left four little cupcakes with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate drizzle. Everyone was attentive to our needs and we found being able to SMS someone, whether it was for changing rooms or having the valet bring our car, was extremely convenient. The rooms were spacious and very well maintained. Being so close to Stanley Park, the water and downtown is a big plus for this location.

The atmosphere was very professional and really had everyone attending the event properly cared for. The drinks at the bar and the bartenders were very nice, and mix a good drink. All in all, I would recommend this place to other people considering events for their industry.

Stayed here a few months back and the hotel was phenomenal! Be it from the front desk staff to the rooms, everything was top notch. The view from our room of downtown was amazing as well as the bed which was one of the most restful sleeps I've had in years!

Another absolutely amazing stay at the Waterfront. Krista and the Gold Floor team really go above and beyond everytime I'm here.

In room dining is awesome and if you're trying to stay healthy, they're very accommodating.

Live music in the lounge is great and if you're ever needing something from room service or housekeeping, unlike other hotels, items are brought up quite quickly.

Again, this is a 5-star hotel, but what really makes it wonderful is the staff.

Highly recommended!

To start with the basics, the beds are amazing!!!

The rooms are quite well equipped with wifi, TV and such as well as the service being quite lovely, going so far as to help me connect my xbox one to their wifi network and the TV.

However, there are some major downsides, with the main one being the ongoing construction right next to the hotel, which is very audible, even in my 10th floor room.

The doors are also rather thin wood, so you can hear people talking outside which may cause some sleep disturbances.

However the staff are very helpful and polite and the rooms are quite good aside from the poor noise insulation so I would have to recommend it.

Really such friendly people who made us feel soo welcomed. The city tour I would strongly recommend.. From land tosea is the tour name..And tour to Whistler..... Sad to leave for MN, but thank you to ALL staff for your presence..Would love to visit again.

Was at the conference rooms. The room was a good size, A/V technicians were good at their jobs. The roast beef sandwich at lunch was superb but the tuna sandwich was on the salty side.
