Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use

We checked in on Friday afternoon to celebrate a 40th birthday, they were very accommodating. However our first room was near an area under construction, the first night we said nothing. And they moved us the next day to a pool view room on the bottom floor which was the original he desired location. We checked out Sunday, the service was magnificent with the exception of the construction that we were not informed about prior to setting this event. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant, the music was fabulous outside near the pool and in the lounging area. The food service was above average but not amazing. I would highly recommend this location anybody who loves the Bohemian, Jamaican, Beachy theme feel! As you can tell I took tons of interior pictures of the resort. The only part that was not Bohemian style, would be considered more art deco, and it would be a throwback to the 50s era. Which is a great touch with anybody who likes this kind of design

Setup in a newly remodeled room, first night the shower didn't work, but they quickly fixed it! Food is great! Service is great! Hospitality is wonderful! They are so nice and friendly!

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was VERY accommodating. The resort is absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant menu could stand improvement as it is a little too limited. I'd like to suggest more fruitful entertainment ie. Live band. Karaoke night, DJ happy hour. Something other than the splendor to keep guests on site.

Really nice hotel for what we got it for. The the grounds and decor are absolutely gorgeous! Forgot i was in the middle of the dessert. The food and drinks at the canal club where really good also. They just need to work on the dessert menu. Overall an amazing experience and definitely will be back.

I am IN LOVE with this place! Matt was incredible! From the first hello he made us feel welcome at home. The resort is beautifully decorated and lively. So many details in every space. I cannot wait to return!

High end resort in a perfect Scottsdale location. Usually a hotel for us is just a place to sleep, but with two beautiful salt water pools we actually looked forward to returning to the Scott after our adventures. Highly recommend!

This place is so incredibly beautiful! Despite the luxury, all the staff were so friendly towards my two small kids (6 and 7). We felt so welcome! The restaurant served some of the most delicious food I've ever had. It was expensive, but the quality was exceptional. We never did figure out the in-room coffee maker, but the restaurant served the best coffee! I would not buy any of the in-room snacks. They will drive you anywhere within 3 miles for free. The staff made this place more than worth it!

I’m currently staying at the Scott and overall have been very impressed. The hotel grounds and common areas are beautiful, with lots of attention to landscaping. Our room, whilst I think is classified as ‘renovated’, many smaller details like fixtures and fittings - most noticeably the shower head - could do with updating. And I’m not sure why there was just one robe in the cupboard and no slippers. I was intending to rate the property a 4, but during the last two days of using the pool I have become really disappointed by the lack of management when it comes to maintaining a relaxing and considerate environment. Both days different guests have found nothing wrong with playing their own personal music out loud (despite the fact there is low-volume background music already playing by the pool). What kind of person does that? It’s not spring break, but a family resort. I wish the management would do something about this; the place is supposed to be a relaxing spa resort. Lastly, the wi-if option included in the room rate is virtually unusable.

I stayed here for a work conference and this hotel was wonderful! Loved the rooms and the quiet, relaxing vibe. Ate dinner at the bar and the food was good. Didn't try the pools but I loved the look of the sandy pool. Will definitely return here if I get the chance to come back.

Had a very nice experience at The Scott! The lobby and grounds have been recently beautifully updated, and we really enjoyed the great drinks we had in the lobby bar. Rooms were fine, but in need of an update (coming soon, we were told!)

What a welcoming Resort! It is small enough to feel right at home and large enough to handle your next private event! I really liked the many nooks and corners for guests to sit and relax in privacy. The resort has a home feel to it, pool size is adequate. Happy hour menu has a Cuban accent which is a nice addition to Scottsdale venues.

Grabbed a massage and dinner for an anniversary. Both staff groups were hospitable and welcoming. The Cuban inspired food at the restaurant was a good twist for a dinner, while also blending in American foods. The resort itself makes you feel like you are stepping out of Arizona and into a small Cuban town. Will definitely be returning soon!

Beautiful place a little older but everything was so beautiful tranquil and calming. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I was there for a work event and enjoyed it very much. Parking is a little scarce but other than that great location great spot!

I visited for a wedding reception. The service from the valet, to the lobby bar, all the way through to the servers at the event was great. I really enjoyed the contemporary yet comfortable design and decor. My favorite spot was the fire pits near the bar.

Love this resort, great location near Downtown, Fashion and Entertainment Districts. Beautifully designed, with plenty of areas to hang out. Love the pool and fire pits. Restaurant has delicious Cuban sandwich and Cobb salad. Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend taking golf cart taxis. Grab a casual drink at Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers, lunch at Bottled Blonde and dinner at The Mission.

My husband and I attended for a holiday party. It was a very good time. The buffet style food all tasted good staff was friendly and professional. The hotel grounds were gorgeous as well as the lobby. My husband and I discussed a staycation there after we left

Formerly Fire Sky, they have kept most of the feel, yet putting a Cuban twist to the decor. The facilities are the same layout though. Still very inviting in the lobby with lounge areas and a bar.

Attended a office Christmas party. Resort looked well maintained. Lot of parking area. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the premises. The orange ball room is where my Christmas party was hosted. It was big enough to hold around a hundred people. Food served there was tasty. I would like to visit again to check the rooms and the pool which looked good from outside.

I love the music they play in this hotel. Everything from Frank ocean to Herp Albert. It's like a jungle in there! Lots of plants! My room was cozy and the robe was clean/fresh.

The rooms were nice, the pool areas were gorgeous, the staff was hip, friendly and helpful. Our stay in October was very quiet and relaxing. We ate on the restaurant patio, and the food and environment we're both great. We are already planning to return when we can stay a few days instead of just overnight.

Had a great experience here overall. The facilities are very well-maintained and feature amenities including a sizable pool area and a 24 hour fitness centre. The rooms themselves are spacious and cozy - I was particularly impressed with the very comfortable bed. The cleaning staff are very prompt and do a great job, and the front-desk staff were helpful and friendly. The location itself is great, too, being in close proximity to a huge array of very tasty and trendy restaurants just blocks away. As a final plus, I saw bunnies on the grounds at night. Just super all around!

This resort seems more like a 3.5 star resort on a really good piece of land. Right near the action of Old Town Scottsdale is a bonus if you are partying with friends or shopping, but the rooms are not what most people would consider "luxury". We stayed Friday, Saturday & Sunday and they put a $425 deposit/hold on our Visa! We had no ice bucket, the blow dryer didn't work and you can hear every word your neighbors say and hallway conversations echo in your room. However, The pool is beautiful and customer service is top notch.

The atmosphere was amazing! The front desk, house keepers, and staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel is located right in the heart of Scottsdale. When booking your room book closer to the pool or garden area for a better view and also keep in mind the hotel fees when booking through a third party

Nice place to stay. I know most people don't care about this but I would love if there was a work out room. I like that they have bikes you can use. It is very close to a running path which is also very nice and very convenient to just walk into town.

I tried the Scott Grill because I heard there was a new chef and wow! I was amazed by the new menu. I'm not a big fan of pork but after trying the King Grilled Cheese which by title I thought was a grilled cheese sandwich and to my delight it was anything but a cheese sandwich. The pork in the sandwich was light but added so much flavor to the sandwich. I didn't want the experience to end. You will not be disappointed with the bruschetta board. The pork fat mousse was almost like a foam that teased my taste buds. . My words do not give justice to the Scott Grill. You will have to go and experience it for yourself.

Nice rooms, soft beds, awesome pool. The spa is really nice and offers a good range of services. The staff was very friendly. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The shuttle doesn't go to the airport, it sticks in a 3 mile radius (what's the point?!). For the cost, I was expecting more amenities - like complimentary breakfast or even a coffee maker in the room. Oh and there is an additional resort fee they charge you per day after you check in - not sure what you get for it because you have to pay for everything.

This is one of my favorite staycation spots near old town Scottsdale and I often recommend it to friends when they come into town. They've done a nice renovation recently when they changed brands the rooms are very nice. The pool area is tremendous there's one pool that has a sand beach and the other larger pool and spa area as well. The location can't be beat you can walk to old town Scottsdale and Fashion Square mall. They also have a free shuttle bus that will take you anywhere within a few miles of the hotel.

Wonderful comfortable rooms, awesome bed, great pools lush grounds. Sadly, the remodeling construction noise was a little distracting, but possibly why we got such a good deal. Looking forward to staying there again.

I've stayed here numerous times in the past. A lovely establishment with helpful employees and friendly staff. They've been able to refrigerate my medications for me when needed. Even though they are doing some construction right now, they still had the restaurant and bar open as well as a temporary fitness center. The rooms are clean and plenty of towels in the bathroom. Good water pressure in the showers. I love the bed pillows!

Great place, great staff! Matt at valet is absolutely the nicest and most helpful guy. Zane at the front desk is absolutely the best! Professional, considerate and he went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. I booked a room for my husbands 40th birthday and Zane made sure that my husband was well taken care of and made to feel special the entire weekend. He had specialty truffles and drinks sent to our room compliments of The Scott, and a card wishing my husband a happy birthday. He also made sure we had a couple additional pool wrist bands to accommodate a couple visiting guests. Live DJ at the pool, clean and beautiful accommodations, great place to relax and truly enjoy your time, and the best staff ever. We absolutely recommend The Scott. Five stars! Thanks Zane, Matt and the entire staff for an amazing stay! You guys rock!

We travel a lot and we stayed at several different resorts in Arizona during this trip. The Scott was a little disappointing. Don't get us wrong - nice resort - beautiful lobby and nice pool area... Staff is friendly and masseuse was great. Rooms are only decent. Downside: there's a resort fee to pay yet there's no coffee pot in the room (yes free coffee in lobby but who wants to walk to lobby at 6 am in their PJ's for coffee), there's no free water in the rooms ($7/bottle is asinine) and the overpriced snacks in each room do not look fresh at all. The view of the parking lot is not very appealing, so overall you're not getting much for the price. We found other resorts we liked better that were less expensive and had more amenities.

The Scott is one of my favorite, most relaxing places in earth. I'm not sure what all the hate is about. We recently visited The Scott as part of a family Spring Training vacation. The room, while older in style, was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful pool view. The grounds are not traditional resort with sprawling pool space after pool space - it's more of a rectangle of two-story 50s style motel buildings with a great courtyard pool and lagoon in the middle, but the space is amazingly beautiful and comfortable. Great touches like water fountains and outdoor fireplaces provide places to enjoy the cool Arizona night. And the lobby building is spectacular. I can't wait to see what The Scott will look like once they do renovate all of the rooms and grounds - I'm sure it will be even more incredible.

We stayed three nights at the Courtyard and had breakfast there the first day. For a small Bistro the food was excellent. The service was quick and just as requested. The room had adequate electrical outlets - which many do not have. The bed was comfortable and sheets and cover were very nice.

Great food, comfortable and cozy while luxe and modern. An urban self-contained resort, not unlike Disneyland in that when you look over the wall you're reminded that there's a real world out there, one that you might like to ignore and instead spend time relaxing in this one. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect and our conference top notch. Kudos to everyone working there for making my experience 5 star.

Was very disappointed. The place looks nothing like it does on the website. The website makes it seem very luxurious with the colors used and so when I got there I was totally stunned. Nothing what I expected. A nice place but nothing out of the ordinary. They did some fancy touch up on the website. The spa was great. Massage service excellent. Breakfast was good too - omelette and waffle. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle service they provide is great. Their recommendations for restaurants were terrific. All great guys.

As Phoenix locals, I brought my kids here for a End-of-Summer Staycation Celebration. While we initially choose Firesky by chance, we could not have been happier. The staff was amazing; so kind and so welcoming! The room service was phenomenal! The pools were beautiful, and so comfortable! My family and I cannot wait to go back! We highly suggest it!

Our stay was only for a night but it was great. We stayed for our anniversary and enjoyed the pool. It's in a convenient Scottsdale location with tons of shopping and food nearby. The bar at the hotel is EXPENSIVE! But, at least the drinks were good. The sand bottom pool is great in theory - and then we hurt out feet getting in through the sand. The rooms are nice, nothing over the top fancy. The decor inside the hallways and rooms has an old/retro feel, but it's cute. The staff that we interacted with were very friendly.

My husband and I had an overall great experience staying at FireSky. To start, the concierge was outstanding. Offering rides within a few miles from the hotel, we didn't have to deal with waiting for taxis. On they days we wanted to venture out, they gave recommendations of where to go out for lunch/diner, and where to hike and bike. Being from the flat lands, Camelback was an awesome hiking experience. We stayed in a clean, spacious 2nd floor room with a pool view, highly recommended. We were a little worried as to if we would have a good time by the pools with it being the beginning of September, and in the high 90s. The pool was kept cool, and their were plenty of chairs to sit in the shade or sun. If any of my friends or family ask me where to stay in AZ, this is the spot.
