Georgian Court Hotel

773 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2M4, Canada Access

Georgian Court Hotel

There is something particularly alluring about Georgian Court Hotel. It could be its fantastically central position, its superb choice of restaurants, the amenable staff who create a relaxing, homely feel or it could just be the owner s insightful ability to understand the needs of women travellers with its addition of a women preferred Orchid floor for our female guests (certified Female Friendly Hotel through Maiden Voyage).
The rooms and suites at The Georgian Court Hotel are tastefully appointed in classic colours with mahogany furnishings and fine artwork on the walls. All guestrooms come with Aveda bathroom products, bathrobes and slippers, as well as yoga mats. The women preferred Orchid Floor provides those little extras that make all the difference to a stay, includes a straightening and curling irons in the bathroom plus fashion magazines in the bedroom.
Take the drop-off shuttle bus to the centre of the city and treat yourself to some retail therapy in Robson Street. On the way back to The Georgian Court Hotel, visit the Vancouver Art Gallery and opt for an in-room spa treatment to soothe those tired feet or relax in the whirlpool spa or the steam room.
The Georgian Court Hotel is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.

Being one of the only boutique hotels near Rogers Arena (GM Place) and BC Place Stadium events, the Georgian Court Hotel in downtown Vancouver is ideally situated for business and pleasure pursuits.
We are only a short walk from the bustling business centre of downtown Vancouver BC Canada, entertainment district, and minutes to the signature ocean-lined walks of Stanley Park, cruise ship terminals, art galleries in Gastown, lively Yaletown cafes and Robson Street shops.

Green Key Eco-Rating Program 3

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use

Quick and easy check in. They held our bags for the day until we could check in. Nice large room. I loved the uncarpeted floors. Robes were luxurious and slippers provided. Good size safe. Comfortable bed. It was not an issue for us, but if you are a light sleeper, you might find it noisy (street and hall). We would come back to this hotel on a future visit.

Friendly and gracious staff. Was able to check in as soon as I arrived. Newly renovated rooms. Appreciate the bulk shampoo, conditioner and body wash - cutting down on wasteful packaging (and not forgetting about conditioner!)

This is my favourite place to stay in the city, and they have really stepped up their game in the last few years! Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, a bathroom so pretty I could live there, and great location. They gave me a little personalized gift basket, and the front desk was exceedingly helpful when I needed bandaids for my blisters. Stay here!

Beautiful Hotel near the BC Stadium Place and Yaletown. It is also very close to downtown (the business district of the city). We moved by feet for all the vacancy. The room is clean and well presented. There is a little spa with a jacuzzi and a gym. The employees are very professional. Perfect hotel if you want to visit the heart of Vancouver.

Beautiful hotel. The room was very large and clean. The attached restaurant served a good breakfast at a reasonable price. We had dessert there and the Tiramisu was perfect. The only downside was the noise from the street.

The reception was either great or lousy. Two of the people behind the counter had trouble understanding english so were not helpful. On the other hand one fellow was terrifically helpful. The accommodation and facilities were first class. The restaurant adjacent was available for meals. Their breakfast service was hopeless. Look elsewhere for meals.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are modern (gray, black and white with tile and granite) and clean. We had an excellent view of the Whitecap stadium with twinkling roof lights on the hour. There are many considerate touches including chilled wine glasses, complimentary water, a yoga mat in your closet, robes and slippers, make up and nail polish remover sheets, a little vanity kit, and not only a complimentary hairdryer but also a flat iron and curler. The mezzanine had a small hot tub and steam room that was nice as well as a small gym. Only minor complaints would be it has a VERY small and almost always very crowded lobby which made checking in and exiting/entering the hotel difficult. There is no little snack area like most hotels. Ice machines and vending machines (with only water and two brands of soda) alternate floor by floor. The hot tub/steam room and exercise room are jammed together in a very small space with the business center and board/conference rooms they rent out for corporate events - they are interspersed - which makes for a very awkward moment when you find yourself in your bathing suit and robe in the middle of a formal corporate event or are exercising and a bunch of formally dressed business people are forced to see you sweating on the way to their meeting. Also, I've stayed in a lot of hotels and I liked their shampoo and conditioner the least of any. It was just horribly harsh on my (not very picky) hair.

The Georgian Court Hotel is very nice and clean. The beds were comfy and the rooms were modern. The only two issues I had were that the tub drained very slow, and there were no mirrors outside of the washroom. As I was by myself it was fine, but if I came with my wife or other people, the bathroom would be very cramped. It may have been the room I was staying in, because I do remember a mirror being outside the bathroom during previous stays. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice room. Comfortable beds. Great location. Unfortunately the soap and moisturiser provided in the rooms had goats milk in them and being vegan I couldn't use them. Overall a very nice hotel.

The Georgian Court treated my wife and I very well during our stay for our wedding in May. The room was incredible, the view was gorgeous, and the additional treats they left us were very nice. The local is very central to everything in the downtown core and the service was excellent. Well worth the stay!

7

Nice hotel if you can get a decent rate. All the amenities you expect are there. The only issue I had was that one of the two elevators was out, and having only one is not sustainable, elevator wait time reaches infinity. Hence, four stars.

Located in a good position Downtown, just adjacent to the White caps Stadium. The room we had was very comfortable and roomy. The staff are excellent and helpful. We had a small issue with our booking, from a third party, but the hotel management fixed it and nothing was a problem. Very classy.

I've stayed here probably a dozen times in the last couple years and I have never been let down. The staff are polite and always helpful. Check in/out is easy. Price is typically on point for location. Very accommodating for early check-ins. Rooms are always clean and spacious. I already have two more nights booked over the next 3 months.

Very clean and modern hotel. Great location downtown with many amenities near by. The staff allowed us to check in three hours early so that we were able to freshen up before exiting the downtown. The views from the rooms are also very nice.

Service is alright nothing special, the elevator is weird I will say that. Kinda annoying ice room needs a card too but whatever. The rooms are very nice though with great views. Really close to the stadium so that's nice.

The room was clean and nice. I appreciate the hard surface flooring. The Nespresso coffee machine was very nice and made a good cup of coffee. The rain shower in the bathroom was great! The location was prefect for us and put us within walking distance if Granville island and many delicious restaurants. Would stay here again. Only downside is that the fridge wouldn't close and the front desk associate wouldn't call someone to switch it out.

Very clean and super close to Rodgers Arena and BC Place! Very helpful staff. Has a Smart TV in the room and a mini fridge. Comes with slippers, robes and yoga mats! Shower has a "rain style" showerhead which is pretty nice! The hotel also has a fitness gym, whirl pool and a sauna! The fitness gym is open 24 hours but the whirl pool is only open till 10 pm.

Was an overnight guest here while visiting Vancouver. Very nice hotel, experience was great from check-in to check-out. Room was spacious, modern, and clean, they even had slippers for the guests. Plenty of things to do in the area within reasonable walking distance. Helpful tip: If you have a vehicle during your stay like I did, the hotel offers daily parking (25-30 a day). Drive in to the parking garage and buzz the front desk to park comfortably and start the check-in process.

Stayed here for the first time this weekend with my husband. I cannot say it was worth the money. The hotel was overly priced and not worth the almost 300$ a night. When I walked into the room it was just a plain ordinary room. The only luxury was the shower which had the roof shower head. The following morning, I was awaken by room service at 9am cleaning the room beside ours vacuuming. It was sunday and I wanted to sleep in. I have stayed in better hotels for the fraction of the price and with breakfast included.

Loved the hotel rooms! Showers are a little weird because the door has a opening at the bottom which causes splashing. But the rest of the room is gorgeous for the price and very comfortable. Plus the hotel has a great location

Room was very spacious! Very rare to see a hotel room with wood floors it was a nice touch. We arrived during the christmas season and the hotel was nicely decorated with festive lights and trees. Only con was parking overnight was quite expensive. However we understand downtown parking in general is expensive.

My second time here. Our first room in 2015 faced the arena, now we face an alley with other high rises where they can look right at you from a short distance away. Other than that, we like it due to convenience with walking time being short to Rogers Arena and downtown

5

It was a decent hotel stay. There are reminders everywhere to conserve and help be environmentally sound, but the cleaning service got a little restless when we didn't want service (5 day stay). The rooms are fairly nice, but definitely not 4 star luxury. Right across from the arena, so we got the interesting bonus of listening to u2 rehearse. Restaurant is a bit on the slow side, and loud, though, they do have am adjoining jazz club. The front desk is attentive. Overall, not too bad.

10

Practically a perfect hotel for me. Quite expensive (again, for me), so I won't come here often, but if I could justify it I'd come more. Be mindful of the proximity to bc place-- if there's a loud concert you will be able to hear it to some extent. There was one while I was there but I didn't have trouble sleeping. Staff put me on the side facing away which helped. I assume that was intentional, and appreciated it too.

Great atmosphere, awesome location, great staff! We needed a fan to sleep (we're used to the white noise) and they brought one up for us right away. The only downside of our trip was a noisy neighbor (these beds aren't bolted down.. If you know what I mean)

The Georgian Court Hotel is an excellent place to stay for anyone who needs to attend an event in the area. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. For instance, their front desk staff looked after our dog while we went for dinner; we accepted their offer and primply left. On our return, we found our dog sleeping in his bed and we were told that one of their sraff members even took him for a walk. If that isn't going above and beyond, I don't know what is.

We picked up this hotel because we got an exceptional last minute deal. It's a smaller boutique hotel. It looks like it was an older hotel that fell into disrepair then they decided to remodel it. Each room has faux hardwood floors with matching furniture. Rooms are average sized with slightly larger windows that have ok, but not terrific views. Coffee, tea, and water are in the room for good measure. There is nothing fantastic about the room, but it's got everything one would expect and doesn't have anything lacking. The guest services folk all seemed nice and checking in was easy. Parking cost 24 per night, which honestly felt pricey. The restaurant downstairs is a little Italian place that didn't seem like anything to write home about, particularly when there are so many interesting places just a few blocks away. Speaking of location , this hotel is in a pretty good place. It is directly across from the stadium which would be great if going to an event there. It's about a 15 min walk to Granville, 10 mins to Yale, about 15 to gastown. So it's in a good location. There isn't anything directly around it (other than the stadium) but it's a reasonable distance from everything. Overall, I'd stay here again for the right price. I think it was worth what we paid but any surge pricing might price it out of my interest.

Was in town for the marathon location is nice and Central can walk to the convention center and the train station to Queen Elizabeth Park a few blocks away. Hotel has been nicely updated in the hallways elevators Lobby. The room I stayed in had new floors nice bad nice pillows. Furniture was still old bathroom was still old but did not take away from the experience. Flat panel TV was nice as well as mini fridge. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Free coffee free bottled water free bananas. Frankie's restaurant which is attached has great food gluten free pasta. Great place to dine before the marathon. Last year I stayed at the Sandman which was also renovated butt even more so. Yet still I would stay at the Georgia Court next time.

Cannot say enough good about this hotel.... So its not a new W hotel. Its class and warmth make up for new and plastic 10 fold. The location is amazing... convenient to all! And the staff are so wonderful. I spent several days there under far less than pleasant circumstances. My brother was undergoing a life threatening surgery there and the staff at this hotel were so compassionate and kind, in addition to the hotel accommodations being well above standard. And to add to the positive experience, the Italian restaurant off the Lobby was also great! Cannot say enough about this hotel. Will definitely return and next time hopefully to enjoy all the wonders this city boasts!

Always my go to place if I'm staying overnight in Vancouver (as an islander). Always helpful and pleasant staff with a good restaurant. Good, clean rooms. Only problem is that the prices have risen dramatically over the last few years, and it's making it unaffordable to stay there. It's a bit disappointing.

Been looking forward to watching Rihanna in concert and wanted to find a hotel that was close to Rogers Arena. The Georgian Court Hotel was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint! We love the boutique feel of it and not the big run of the mill chains. It was classy, well done interiors, the room was big and had its own separate living room area overlooking the city. The beds were so comfortable,it was very hard to pry ourselves out for the day! Overall, we highly recommend this gem of a hotel.
