ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Have stayed here twice in past year for Federal meetings.
Pluses-
+Great location right in heart of Chinatown and the Capital One Arena.
+Staff are always super friendly and helpful.
+Very full and fresh included breakfast (including breakfast bags to go!) is welcome.

Rooms are clean and quiet with card key access to upper floors.
Physical plant in common areas is in process, need of some repair.

Wonderful stay. Close proximity to Capital One Arena, an easy walk. Close to National Mall as well! Hotel staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. Would recommend to anyone!

PS: Complimentary breakfast was the best variety and quality I’ve ever experienced. Smoothies were A+

The hotel is being renovated. We stayed in an updated room. Room was spacious. Staff is also friendly. If you have a car, public parking is available directly across the street at a very reasonable rate.

Great customer service and location. Everything was fine until my husband was awaken at 4am to something biting him. We found a bed bug crawling on covers. Called front desk and staff offered to move us to another room. However, we shook out our bags and just checked out. Staff said room would be inspected and someone will follow up with about incident.

The room was a little dated/ worn but they are doing a renovation now so that is being addressed. The service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly. The front desk, the breakfast attendants, and housekeeping all greeted us with smiles and were kind to our very vocal kids. Would like to return and experience the updated version in the future!

This is the second time I have stayed at this location. The hotel is modern and up-to-date with great interior and room furnishings. The staff is friendly and helpful, with a great hot breakfast. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 star rating is on this visit I checked in on a day where the heat index was over 100 degrees and when I entered my room the AC was not one. It took 1.5 hours to bring the temperature down to a reasonable level but the humidity level in the entire building is still high. I would definitely recommend this hotel but they need to consider that many of their guests may be walking in from the metro in 97+ degree heat and want a cool room to rest in.

Hotel is a no frills environment. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds offered a restful sleep. Very competent and friendly staff. Breakfast was a decent variety of items and taste. Located in a great neighborhood with lots of activity: restaurants, shopping or just a leisurely stroll. The pool was available but deserted most of the time so if your primary intention is to enjoy the pool and atmosphere around the pool, the hotel doesn't offer much of that.

We stayed at the larger king suite and it was pretty nice. I wish it was a little bit bigger for a suite but it did have a microwave which was a pleasant surprise for me. The hotel was clean and the free breakfast was a nice bonus. There were different options each morning which was appreciated and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again but not park here. The parking is super expensive!

Overall I had a good experience here. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The small Lobby could get very crowded but didn't stay that way long. The biggest problem was the two small elevators that seem to move very slowly. I wished I had requested a lower floor so that I could take the stairs It is frustrating to be on the 20th floor and stop for people who are on two. Also I was horribly disappointed that it took over 20 minutes to get downstairs for breakfast in the morning. They closed and there wasn't much left that I could actually eat. The room was clean and comfortable but not too comfortable, and moderately priced for a quick getaway.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. No complaints. The staff was very accommodating, the room was clean, bedding comfortable. Breakfast was good but would have liked a little more variety. Would I book this hotel again - ABSOLUTELY. Great location.

Nice hotel. Well situated if you want to explore museums and things at National Mall. Only about a mile walk which is not bad at all and about four blocks from Metro lines. Free breakfast in the morning is pretty good. Usually has eggs, sausage, and hash browns in addition to various carbohydrate choices.

The service was great and staying at this building was a pleasure for me. Rooms have a modern design and they are always clean. The hotel is near China Town and National Mall which is great location for tourists that would stay several days in Washington to see the downtown and other historical places. I recognize this hotel to everyone who need to stay somewhere over night in DC.

It’s close everything. I was able to get to the convention center or China Town in 5 minutes. The front desk associates were pretty nice, I was originally on the fifth floor but when I walked in it just smelled dank. It was a wet smell and made my throat burn. I switched rooms to the 11th floor and it was much better. Until it rained. There seems to be an issue with the rain. My room and the hallways smelled like wet carpet after a rainy day. I would have complained but it was my final day.
The breakfast is free but it’s very bare bones. An egg dish, some type of meat, and roasted potatoes. There was fresh fruit and waffles that you could make yourself. They were all served on plastic plates. Just not something I’m used to. There are microwaves and fridges in the rooms do you can buy something to eat later.
Pick this hotel for the location.

Beware when they tell you there is a sofa bed in the room with a King. I heard another guest checking in with the same problem. There were three of us. Fortunately, I brought an inflatable bed with us in case the sofa bed were uncomfortable. But they weren't even offering a cot, nothing. And I booked the room for three people and there was just one bed and barely enough room for an inflatable single. Otherwise, the hotel is good. Super location, comfortable bed, good shower, convenient free breakfast and all day coffee and tea in the lobby. There is a great restaurant / bookstore around the corner called Busboys & Poets as well as a 24/7 supermarket. Parking in the hotel is expensive. There is cheaper parking across the street.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

We stayed here recently for a quick spring break trip. The staff was amazing. They were able to get us in our room early, were helpful with sightseeing ideas and even FedExed a phone we accidentally left in a cab driver's car.

Nice and clean. Great location and service. Removed a star because it is hard to unload (busy street, small loading unloading zone) and only 2 very slow elevator (always full). Not a problem if the place is not packed. When we visited, the place was packed so we had to carry our bags from the parking lot and up the stairs. Wasn't really a problem for us but might be for others.

Very nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient for sightseeing - Close to Chinatown, Capital One Arena, and just 15 min walk from National Mall where you can see the most important monuments, memorials and American statehood objects. As an European visitor, I’d complain about poor breakfast... (for that reason 4 stara only...)

Stayed here after a concert. Very friendly staff very helpful, even recommended local places to get dinner prior to our concert. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was great, hot food, eggs, bacon, homefries etc. not just the cereal and bagels that some hotels offer. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back again if in the area.

Service was great and friendly! We got to check in early so that's always a plus! Breakfast was included so it was usually packed with people so highly recommend going down relatively early at around 7.15am where there were no people (but the staff worked fast and efficiently in bringing out the food).
There's always freshly baked cookies available to grab at the check in counter at around 6pm, they were out if this world!

Second time we've stayed here, and we'd definitely stay here again. Great central location, with all major landmarks within walking distance for most people. Breakfast is great, beds are fabulous, staff are friendly and helpful. It'd get the fifth star if the hotel could come to an agreement with the local law enforcement that they not go full lights and sirens every time they drive past the hotel after midnight. ;-)

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

We have received absolutely excellent service from the staff here! The hotel is nice, nothing too exciting, but very nice lobby and bar. The rooms are about what you would expect for a mid level hotel. What sets this hotel apart is the staff. I know this sounds wierd, but I was pretty shocked by just how great the staff is. The front desk is extremely helpful, but also all the other staff where very helpful and kind. The lady who cleaned the room was very accommodating of our daughter's nap schedule, and asked us what time would be best for us. The people who staff and oversee the breakfast buffet where also very helpful and proactive. You can really tell this hotel has a culture of customer service.

The room we stayed in was nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We came for a concert and the Capitol one arena is a 6 minute walk. We took an Uber to and from the sites near the Washington monument and museums and the Ubers came within minutes and the price is right. Yes you could walk it's not really that far but not knowing your way around the city, an Uber is your best bet. There is a small indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center. The only thing about that is the chlorine is so strong it burned our eyes and couldn't stay long. The breakfast is good, nice variety from make your own waffles, eggs, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and pastries along with bagels etc. I would definitely recommend.

Awesome hotel so close to everything. Close to lots of good restaurants, grocery, drug store, easy to access taxi, uber, etc., and sites. Indoor pool and gym. PROS:
Great location.
Refrigerator and microwave in room w/o requesting it
Friendly staff
Valet parking (24hr) not free but consistent with prices at other hotels
Indoor pool/hot tub
Free breakfast (oatmeal, eggs, (make your own waffles, donuts, muffins etc).

CONS:
Rm 617 - tub would not drain (the staff gave me another room)
Rm 314 - there was no lock on the bathroom door (I didn't bother calling about it, the door was able to close)
No one came to clean the room while we were out. I left a tip before I left and towels on the bathroom floor to be taken but everything was still there when I got back. The staff brought new towels up when I called.
The home fries at breakfast were waaaay too salty.

It was a decent hotel. I would stay again because the staff helped me if I had a problem.

Good hotel since it is a chain so the experience should be standard. Free breakfast in the morning until 10am. Rooms have a microwave, and fridge. The shampoos and soaps in the shower are Neutrogena. Over all a pleasant experience. Standard kinda hotel vs the luxury ones

The location of this hotel is ideal for tourists who wish to have the downtown D.C. experience. I recommend parking the car at the hotel and taxis or Uber to get around town. All the drivers we had were very nice ans knowledgeable. The hotel itself is crowded and breakfast is crazy busy and sub-par. The room is acceptable. Clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. A decent, affordable place tp stay.

The location was nice in relation to the convention center, a few blocks away. The rooms were nice, and bathrooms big. Our view out the window wasn't the best, though, facing graffiti. Air conditioner doesn't get too cold. No room service, from what I could tell, and a tiny bar with a little bit of bar food to order from.

If all industries were staffed this hospitably, the world would be free of hatred, crime and mistrust! Breakfast, facility, location, and people (best of all) were above and beyond! Will never forget our model-gorgeous front desk star who came from behind her desk to flag a cab for us at rush hour! I should have filmed you, but I take with me your dedication back to my teaching job! God bless and many thanks! Love to Cruz and the chefs!

A reasonable hotel. Rooms are average. There is no fan in the bathroom to exhaust steam from the shower which mages the entire room feel muggy and smell like a shower. Need are firm but comfortable. Elevators are slow. Morning breakfast was much better than expected. Overall a good stay. Would stay again.

The hotel was is a very good location in DC. Very close to the Verizon Center, Museums and the Capital. All walking distance. It offer valet parking which was great for me not knowing the area. The staff was very friendly and check in was quick. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the food at the bar/restaurant. The wait was long and the food wasn't good. I cannot stress how great this hotel was!! Not only is the location perfect - a quick walk puts you at the Capitol in almost no time flat - but the staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Antoine who was absolutely hilarious. AJ was at the front desk and quickly got us checked in as we arrived late. We had the pleasure of talking with Cruz and Teddy the next two mornings who were so welcoming and gave us directions as we headed out for the day. And your breakfast staff is efficient and wonderful, especially Mayra! The room was spacious and everything was so clean in this hotel. When I come back with my husband I've already told him we are staying here! Thank you for the lovely visit!

My 7 year old and I just spent the weekend here and before we even leave DC I needed to make sure they know how amazing they were! We were able to get into our room early in Friday and from that moment on it was wonderful! Front desk staff knew my name after the first day, they interacted wonderfully with my son (who's on the autism spectrum), and they made us feel at home.

Everything was nice and clean, rooms were comfortable, and my son loved the hot tub and the pool! And it was so close to everything we wanted to do as well! We will be back! Thank you for the weekend!

Clean hotel, close locations to convention center and several newer restaurants. Bit of a hike to main tourists spots (White House, national mall, etc) but doable with nice weather.

Timed it perfect for mid-September and ended up walking everywhere. Staff does a great job and the free breakfast was well staffed/friendly. Would definitely book here again on the return trip.

Hotel was great, most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean when we got there, and cleaned daily to the best of their ability. The only issue I really had was with ordering food from the bar in the evenings. I realize it's not their focus, but it really should not take 1.5 hrs to make a quesadilla. The bartender did apologize for the delay, and did credit a drink thiugh, so all was well.

First the pros: GREAT location! Once there, it's an easy walk or Metro to just about anywhere you'd want to go. It's clean (5 star clean... And I'm pretty fussy about stuff like that). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Now for the cons (and there are a few): there are only two elevators for the entire 13 story building. When the hotel is at capacity, the waits are ridiculous! The hall and elevators are not ventilated. In the summer months, it is HOT!! If you drive, be prepared to pay $50/day to park. The workout room was tiny and much of the equipment didn't work. Finally, the breakfast area is too small to accommodate everyone staying at the hotel (think Disney at spring break).

Overall a decent place to stay, if you want/have to be close to downtown DC.

Our stay at the Hampton was very nice. We biked in to town and they gave us a place in the garage to securely store the bikes. Everything in the room was nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast is simple yet delicious. Great location for going to any event at the convention center or China town. Clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit expensive but parking anywhere in this town costs an arm and leg. Go find a parking garage you'll save about 15-20 bucks a day.

Good solid hotel close to the verizon center. Was in town for a basketball game and enjoyed my stay.
