ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Great location, in walking distance to places to eat and drink. Nice staff. Great to have the shuttle to take you on short trips. Interesting elevator system, you have to choose your destination before getting on, there's no buttons on the inside. Easy to use once you got the hang of it. Would def stay again. Really nice, large rooms.

Blown away by the service I received from the staff. Everyone was cordial and efficient in supporting my needs while staying here. The room was great and they cane in and did a great job of cleaning everyday.

Pros - very clean, comfy, and spacious room (it wasn't exactly what we were anticipating, but that was fine), nice continental breakfast, fast elevators.

Cons - noisy, housekeeping didn't show up until 7pm, tiny pool, and our van wouldn't fit in the parking garage (clearance, not space).

Overall a very nice hotel.

Great location, with an awesome top floor view of the city. The parking can be challenging at night and on weekends but it's downtown so it's to be expected. Great access to each highway going and coming. Friendly staff and front desk team. Awesome breakfast and evening social for registered guest. Full fitness room and rooftop pool.

This is hotel looks like it was recently renovated, including the new confusing elevators. There are no buttons, just a touch screen on the outside. You have to make your selection BEFORE getting on. They also have continental breakfast and a free happy hour with beer, wine, and a very simple dinner buffet style. Other Homewood locations let you take your beer/wine to your room, this one does not. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The parking garage is also easy to find. The fitness center is spacious with newer equipment. They have a small outdoor rooftop pool next to the fitness center.

Stayed for business. Room was clean and spacious. Complimentary breakfast was very good - waffle station, omelettes, fresh fruit, etc. The social hour offering looked good, did not sample. They were serving a red wine and Bud Lite, I believe. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, decent speeds when connected. Parking in the adjacent deck was not terrible, but man those spots are tiny. Finally, yes the elevator setup is a bit confusing when you first see it, but I had no issues with it.

The room was incredibly spacious and included many great amenities and an abundance of outlets. The elevator system is incredibly weird and kind of pointless, with the control for the floors not being inside of the elevators. Would recommend this hotel, and I would give 5 stars if not for the elevators!

I got a Suite here for my birthday.... I loved it!! This hotel definitely set standard for me! I've been in multiple Suites but this one was like an Apartment, Full Kitchen, Living room, and then when you walk down the hallway there is a huge bathroom and then a huge separate Bedroom! If you get to choose your room, Choose 1118!! Parking is $15 a day; you enter and exit the garage with your room keys. The Breakfast changes daily..... this part is JUST okay, it lacked selection but what they had was good. I also don't like the elevators, you select what floor you're going to and then you can't change it..... you have to get off of the elevator and select the floor you want to go to. Besides those things, it was Superb!

I was pleasantly surprised as this is the first time I had stayed at this property and chain. Check-In was effortless. The electronic key that you can use from your phone was really convenient! My room (1008) was very large, modern, and spotless. The centralized downtown location was very convenient for walking to local businesses and eateries. Did I mention there was a continental breakfast included as well as a social most evenings? I used to stay at Residence Inn, but definitely have a new favorite!

Stop over on a road trip. Location was easy walking distance to restaurants but the real gem of this hotel is Whitney at the front desk. She will take care of anything you need and treat you like family.

I had a bad experience here. Had to be evacuated at 9 am while everyone was trying to shower due to a water leak on the first floor. Caused us to miss breakfast . Rooms are very nice and clean though.

Pros: GREAT STAFF! Funny and professional front desk, very pleasant breakfast workers, gorgeous rooms! Niiice kitchen. Cons: Confusing elevator! The GUI for the touch screen buttons NEEDS enhancement please. It is no fun to be figuring this stuff out after a long drive, arriving in the middle of the night, carrying tons of stuff, and then dealing with a "wait how do we get to the lobby" moment when the expectation is the elevator ought to have a "L" button, but there's none 🤔 Suggest: put borders around the Homewood Suites image on the touchscreen to indicate it can be selected 👍

The rooms are spread out, so you don't hear your neighbor. Had a ceiling fan, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and tons of channels (Direct TV). The set up of the room was great, and was really clean. The complimentary breakfast was as good as you can get, and they had a very nice bar/restaurant on the bottom floor. The parking garage was small and keep one key so you can get out (or you'll have to call the desk). In all, an excellent hotel I would love to stay in again.

We had to stay here with cheer. There were blowers everywhere; water pipe burst? The rooms were large and had nice bathrooms. The beds we're unomfortable and we couldn't get the thermostat to a lower temp to be able to sleep without being hit. There was a green light on a box near the bathroom that lit up the whole room and made it hard to sleep. They ran out of food at breakfast. An employee was reaching under a cabinet beside him in the breakfast area and bumping him causing him bump his hand into the waffle iron and burning his hand.

I went to the front desk to complain and get burn cream. They didn't have a fist aid kit, but a box with Band-Aids. She did call someone else to see if they had a fist aid kit, but then walked off. There was no concern, nothing. Then there was a fire alarm. We never got burn cream, an apology, anything. This is one unhappy mama!

Staff needs hospitality training! And, you should have a first aid kit on hand!!!

Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, free breakfast. Carpet is a bit worn down in some of the rooms.

Elevator system is... Interesting. You select your floor from a touch screen in the elevator lobby. It then directs you to the elevator that will come for you. This fails to take into account what happens when the selected elevator going the other direction stops at your floor to let someone off. You get on, thinking it's your time, only to go for a ride all over the place. Only one elevator stops at each parking level.

Parking is $15 a day in the garage.

The hotel experience was not good. The fire alarm went off at 3:30am and had to evaluate then to be told it was a false alarm. I like to give a shot out to Steven Spencer who took the time to help us with sister who walks with a walker. We on the 12th floor trying to get out building when the alarm went off. We only made it to the 9th floor. He was the only one to stop to ask did we need help. GOD BLESS YOU.
When I checked out the hotel emplyoee apologized and compensated us for the trouble so the experienced ended well. We would also like to say thank you the Q and and Benjamin I will be back again.

While the roof patio is a nice touch, the room I was given seemed a little tired and worn. I have stayed at Homewood Suites before but this was not in the best condition. I was only there two nights and spent very limited time in my room.

The location is fantastic and in addition to the bar on the roof, there is a fantastic bar on ground level that is known as one of the best cocktail spots in Richmond.

Really good breakfast buffet, nice rooms, not the best part of town, understaffed, I asked for a specific room key and they gave it to me without verifying who I was which made me feel a bit unsafe.

This was a pitstop on the way home from Rhode Island. The rooms are HUGE and clean. Complimentary breakfast was an added bonus. Did not love the parking deck. Extremely tight with a huge percentage of spaces not accommodating normal sized vehicles (in addition... paying to park).

Beautifully renovated hotel in downtown Richmond. Our room was very spacious, beds and furniture very comfortable, generously stocked kitchen area and everything was new and clean. The front desk staff as well as the general hotel staff we met along the way were all very helpful and polite. The elevator system is new and took some getting used to, parking was difficult and the roof top pool was very small, dirty and closed. Be sure to go roof top anyway because the view of downtown is beautiful. The location was a little further from our event venue than we would have liked (I booked late), but it gave us the opportunity to explore downtown historic sites that we may have missed if we would have stayed in Midlothian. We would definitely stay here again!

Good customer service. Room was clean and well-kept with the exception of some lights which were out. The hotel gym wasn't open at the time but they gave passes to a YMCA which was a couple of blocks away. Breakfast is good but nothing unique from other hotels. Overall, my stay was enjoyable.

I loved it here. I'm an avid traveler so I've stayed in a wide range of hotels. The price was a little steep for the area but the room was kept in good condition, clean, and the requests I had put in with the reservation were all accounted for during check in. Checkout was at 12noon which is fantastic for anyone who would like to grab a bite to eat in the lounge(complimentary) before checking out. Would highly recommend for those traveling into RVA for an event. Garage parking was $15 but it included in and out privileges.

I stayed here this pass weekday on Thursday, January 27, 2016. I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. From the lobby which was breathtaking to my room I stayed in, which was 1112. The room was unbelievable, it was just the most beautiful room I have stayed at, and I travel a lot. from the fully equip kitchen, study desk, bathroom , and bed; everything was wonderful. I am as we speaking trying to plan a trip for me and my mother for her birthday here. The service was great and friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely wonderful as well.

Thanks Homewood Suites for everything from the Danville Community College Knight Council.
