New and very nice rooms. Good breakfast. Nice fitness center. Game room is good if you have kids. Rooms with kitchenettes are great if you want to do some cooking or want to avoid eating out. Swimming pool is very nice with gas grills to grill your own food. The only minor complaints are some limited parking and a location that is a bit difficult to reach. Would definitely stay her again.

Free breakfast and free dinner at nightly happy hour. Nice rooms with plenty of room. Location not the greatest and Fox news always on lobby TV, yikes

Stayed here four nights recently and was pretty pleased with the place. The room was clean and well equipped. Very family friendly place. Lots of families and lots of kids. The breakfast buffet was rather sparse and crowded each time we tried to use it. I think that it is overpriced for what you are getting ( almost $300 per night when you include the $20 per night parking fee )

This place is great. Rooms are nice and the lobby is very clean and refreshing. The bathrooms are all gender and they have complimentary feminine products. Breakfast and cocktail hour 7 days a week. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed are stay and will definitely stay again. We've stayed at a lot of Homewood Suites and this one has to be our favourite! It smells brand new and was super spacious, quite and clean. We felt at home. The location was also prefect for shopping and dining. Also, not to far from the beaches and San Deigo amusement parks.

This was a great place to stay while visiting San Diego. The location was very convenient and the staff very helpful. The daily breakfast was a good value. Our 1 bedroom unit with a king bed was comfortable for our family of 4. We would definitely stay here again.

Park on the street to avoid their parking fee of $25 a night and parking is tight and hard to find on their premises. At night pass 8pm street parking opens on so it's easy and close to find parking. I got their king bed suite on hotwire for $175 a night, had a full kitchen, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, and small table and couch. Free amenities that are replenished everyday, 2 chips, 2 cokes, 4 bottle water, 1 snickers 1 m&ms, 1 bag trail mix, 2 granny Smith cookies, and kurig coffee and tea pods 2 of each. At night they had light dinner snacks like sliders and beer on tap with wine all for free from like 6-9pm Monday to Thursday if I remember correctly. Every morning they had free breakfast from 6 to 9am. It was pretty legit too. Only thing that bumped on me is the flooring and couch where kind of out of date in the room but who cares with all the free stuff they have. Bathroom mirror was awesome, wife loved it and shower was pretty cool too, big stand up shower that could fit 2 adults with 2 kids. Would definitely recommend this place.

I've had a positive experience with everything at the hotel. The rate was incredibly reasonable, the location is very central to many things. You can't walk anywhere from the hotel but if you're driving it's only 10-15 minutes to any of the places you'd probably visit while in San Diego. The breakfast is actually pretty decent and the staff has been nothing but helpful and friendly. I would come back here.

It was only for a night, but everything was more than I expected, and the staff was incredibly helpful and nice.
The room was well appointed and better than the pictures. I will definitely return for many more nights. Also the pool is hestrd and kept immaculant with plenty of towels.

Great place for a family stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It looks to be an ideal place for business trips too. The pool is tiny but that doesn't matter. Complimentary breakfast is good enough, just be prepared to queue for the waffles!!! There is also a light evening meal on weekdays with beer or wine. The suites have everything you could possibly need/want for a satisfactory stay. The rooms are well maintained. We WILL be staying again.

Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Nice decor and overall a decent hotel. To start, the reason for the 3 stars was the mold I found on some of the cookwares in the room. I know it is hard to maintain rooms with kitchens but moldy items are not acceptable. The rooms sizes we're good, the beds more or less comfortable. The parking price is a bit steep considering that street parking was available. Would go back but definitely wash the dishes before using.

First time I stayed at Homewood suites, what a wonderful experience. The food was plentiful, the breakfasts were great. Make your own waffles each morning along with 3 choices of cereal, paired with a rotation of hot choices. Dinner during the week included a choice of beer or wine

Booked a king studio on accident, too small for a family of three with a 1.5 year old. Staff was able to upgrade us to different room with a separate living room and bedroom area, much better. Evening social was okay, I enjoyed the Stella on tap, but breakfast was excellent. Short drive to the zoo and everything else in San Diego. I would recommend the hotel to families traveling with a baby, just make sure to get the bigger room!

Excellent suite Hotel with great location and customer service. Large suites with full kitchenette. 15mins drive from everything in San Diego area. Parking costs $20 a night with half the spots underground and the rest surround the hotel. This cost seemed to be offset by a lower nightly price than comparable hotels. Free breakfast and complementary happy hour during the week for guests. Very satisfied with our stay, well done.

I loved how comfortable the rooms were, they were very spacious. The location was kind of isolated, but I loved it because it was quiet. What I didn't like was the fact that they were didn't have room service, but it made it up with the breakfast they served.

We were in town for our son's graduation from MCRD. We were very pleased with our room, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. 2 of us ended up sick while there and they were all very quick to help, including changing all the bedding and thoroughly cleaning the room in the middle of our stay to prevent further spreading of germs. Thank you for a great stay!

Very nice place to stay for a soccer tournament. Just hate the stay N play rule. Prices are always inflated. Friendly staff. Clean and up to date lobby and rooms. The hot breakfast is pretty good. They also offer a free dinner each night that was. Just off the freeway. But, set back so no noise. Underground parking.

I have stayed in Diego a ton of times on Business. I was looking for something close to Convention Center but did not want to stay at T&C. This is a great location with very friendly staff. The room was clean and large. I had taken my daughter with me on this trip and more than enough room for me to work late nad her to go to bed. The extra fee to park the rental car seemed out of line. I understand it in Chicago or Boston but this just seemed to be an extra charge they could get away with to keep rates competitive and there was the option to park in the street. Location is great and took about 10 minutes to get to the convention center with moderate Morning traffic. This is my new place to stay when in San Diego for conv center events.

A great "home away from home" in San Diego. We stay at homewood suites when we are traveling because we like the kitchenette and the extra space. We have never had a bad experience and enjoy this hotel particularly. The staff has beenough great , the breakfasts are adequate, and the reception each night with beer and w2 is a nice touch..

Nice hotel but they fleece customers for daily parking fee. The hotel garage is minuscule and there is no gated security plus you end up competing with local restaurants patrons for parking since they don't really police it because its on a totally honors basis whether one tells them they are parking. I can't figure for the life of me why they'd charge for parking its not in a downtown area and no other homewood suites that I've been at in a similar location has ever tried such a stupid thing. I'm a Diamond and it is especially offensive and insulting to me given how much I stay at Hilton properties. If you can't make enough money off selling your rooms then raise your rates. Its not a financial situation for me but for many customers especially families you are taking $ out of their pockets that they had planned for other stuff. Also the hotel doesn't even have a valet so in the end you get absolutely nothing extra from the parking fee. There's no added security, no valet, no guarantee of even a parking space near the hotel or in the parking garage.

I loved my stay here they had everything and it was all very clean, but I really loved is that I am 6' 2" and I didn't have to slouch in the shower. This is a real tall person problem but no worries if you stay here. I will definitely be coming back.

While the rooms are a really good size, they don't do a good job of insulating noises from other rooms. There is a gym and laundry on site which do their intended job right but just not striving for better. Similarly, the pool is adequate but not really good.

It's a weird feeling where you can't really complain because it's functioning right, but just not leaving you satisfied in how it's accomplishing it.

We were caught off guard with a parking fee to park on sight and in the garage. Otherwise we'd have to fight with street parking. But if the hotel is meant for extended stays and most people are traveling in groups, why are the parking spots too small for full size cars or trucks & minivans?

Homewood Suites by Hilton was a wonderfully comfortable place to stay. Finding it is a bit difficult as it is stuck in between a Benicia and World mark which both have better signage than Homewood. Once you do find it though, everything about the facilities is great. Clean spacious rooms with all the amenities and extremely helpful and pleasant staff to help you with any difficulties you may have. The one downside is that if you are bringing a pet, they charge a $100 non-refundable deposit. I get pets can be destructive, but if they don't actually do any damage, shouldn't a deposit be refunded? Maybe don't call it a deposit, but a pet lodging fee or something.

With a family of 5 we're a fan of Homewood suites, and this is no exception. With nice large rooms we have no problem fitting our family comfortably. This one seems very new and clean. The sliding doors are a little strange, the bathrooms are strangely laid out, and a couple more chairs would be nice, but overall, a very nice hotel.

The property is brand new and you can tell. Great appliances and nice finishes. There were some drywall repairs still needed. The TVs were pretty large for a standard Hilton and looked great. There are also a couple good food options right near by and a gas station around the corner. I enjoyed this hotel a lot.

This is a weird Homewood Suites franchise. The service at this location is fine, but the fact that they charge for parking is ridiculous for this hotel chain and location. Paying for parking at downtown locations are acceptable, but not a location where you need to drive to get around.

This "suite" is not what I expected from the Homewood brand, since really the rooms are just hotel rooms with a couch and a full size fridge. The room size and layout was small and disappointing, since this was really a cramped studio. For the money, I would recommend considering other options in SD.

Great hotel. We love staying at Homewwod Suites. This is a fairly new location for them. Very convenient to many attractions and locations in San Diego. The room was awesome. I was a little disappointed in some of the general housekeeping around the hotel. A little more attention to detail is needed. Dispite this I would definitely stay there again. The employees were are friendly and courteous.

Great new hotel! The rooms were very large and clean with a wonderful large shower area. The evening reception had a limited selection but they offered good beer and the ability to bar-b-q if you wanted. I would stay here again over other Hilton locations because of the amenities. What is the deal with charging for parking... Seriously this is crazy!

We stayed here for 4 nights and picked the hotel because of the type of accommodations they provide with the kitchen and separate living area and bedroom. It was easy with our children to give them an area to go to sleep at a reasonable hour but not give us a bedtime.

The service was good, they were timely with any request we had. Breakfast is like any other offered at a hotel, nothing special but still convenient.

I guess the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the shower. It's a stand up so with our 1 year old it presented a challenge in bathing her, she only has ever done a bath. For a hotel that was filled with families I'm surprised this is the option.

Loved everything about the hotel, I have a four star because of the fee with the parking, if it was free, I would have given it a give star, this is our new family hotel for vacation. I want to commend one chef, le kethric, he is awesome in all ways, I don't have enough words to describe how amazing and dedicated he is to his job and clients, thanks.

Excellent hotel ..newer property and kept extremely clean. Front desk and housekeeping staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast area is spacious and one of the best I have experienced at any hotel stay. Breakfast was great everyday but I do recommend adding additional Fresh fruits like (strawberries, blueberries, oranges, apples, and bananas) in addition to all the other hot and cold items. This stay was during several events in town and they handled groups well. Parking is adequate but I didn't like the 16 dollar a night charge especially because I was caught by surprise at check out, and also thought that it should be included for free. I'll be back to this place and highly recommend to others when in the area.

I can't say enough wonderful things of this new property in San Diego. Staff is super pleasant, breakfast was plenty and I never felt more welcome to stay at a hotel. The location is perfect, away from freeways, but close enough to enjoy your San Diego outings. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials and cleaned well. Pool was heated and there's a gym in the basement along with laundry. The only complaint that I had and it wasn't really a deal breaker, was charging for parking in an open/non protected lot/garage. Spaces in the garage were used for construction materials that made it difficult to find parking down there. It's normal to be charged in San Diego, but I would have preferred the option of secured parking for a fee. Again, Not a deal-breaker and this hotel will be my go-to location every time I visit, and that is often.
