The rooftop bar is the best spot in the city. The bar staff is the friendliest I've seen. Never had better service or a better bar experience than here. Courtney, Jenna, and Kevin are exceptional. I can not recommend staying here enough. Will definitely be back!

The Homewood Suites in Downtown Grand Rapids is both beautiful and welcoming. The desk attending were very attentive and immediately made the place seem like a home away from home. We had an issue and needed to extend our stay and they were incredibly helpful. Our family was able to extend our stay with little to no trouble. Each night they have a social hour with drinks and appetizers which was very enjoyable. The hotel also provides a free complimentary hot breakfast each morning and coffee service 24 hours a day. Both the pool and the fitness room were very nice. We were placed in conjoining rooms with a king  bed and a pull out couch in each room. Each room also had a nice kitchen that had dishes and glassware for our use. Our family of five really enjoyed the connected spaces. The location is lovely, sitting in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. This hotel is also incredibly close the the Van Andel Arena. The only issue I would bring up is the lack of free parking. It was $32 to park for one night in the adjoining parking deck. I would love to come back or recommend it to a friend.

Might be the nicest Homewood Suites in the Hilton collection. Great downtown location. Very close to a plethora of bars, restaurants, shopping, business, you name it. Rooftop bar is a must see when it’s open. Although, it’s cooler in the evening when the hot summer sun isn’t blazing down upon you. The free breakfast isn’t too bad and the staff treats you like a king. One night staffer even walked to the street to point me in the right direction for the nearest whiskey bar!

We stayed for the first time this past weekend to celebrate my birthday and it was incredible in every way. It’s a true gem in Grand Rapids with an incredible location less than a block from all the downtown action. The lobby is modern and elegant. The rooms are spacious, clean and current with historical touches like exposed brick and local art/photography. The roof top bar is out of this World. I used to live right downtown Grand Rapids and have never seen rooftop views like this before in our great city. This hotel also offered thoughtful little details like bottled water and chocolate upon check-in, a social events calendar, and an amazing complimentary breakfast. Every single staff member we interacted with was wonderful. This is a fantastic hotel in our fast-growing city and it has World Class staff to match. Can’t wait to stay with them again!

Homewood Suites is quickly becoming my favorite hotel to stay at in downtown Grand Rapids. Extremely reasonable room rates and they are HUGE! Food, wine and refreshments are available when you check in from 5-7. Hot breakfast in the morning starting at 7. Great sitting areas and list goes on. Would highly recommend this hotel to any business or leisure traveler.

Bonus. During my most recent trip, the morning of checkout the front desk even provided me with an umbrella for my walk! Awesome service.

Considering I was here for an interview, I was shown great hospitality. From the kitchen staff to the janitors, everyone was super professional and quite kind. People went out of their way to talk to me. If you get the chance to stay here and experience the welcoming atmosphere, you should take it. 10/10

Lovely hotel, great staff. But they do not validate or provide any parking. I would have rated five stars if parking was covered or at least discounted for staying at hotel and parking in attached garage.

Great hotel! I would give it 5 stars but the parking. While I am using to paying for parking in Downtown areas, this hotel doesn’t offer in and out privileges for the price. I would stay again because of the location.

Our suite was hip and tidy (albeit the view was a bit car-parky) with a lifesaving bottle opener and a very bright mirror that my wife enjoyed. I have never used a saltwater pool before and found it very enjoyable. Good breakfast buffet. Stellar coffee shop attached to the common lobby. Friendly and efficient staff. Awesome central location. We're going again in the future.

Melissa Douty is a touring comedian, and one of our clients at Ignite Hospitality, and she has stayed in countless hotels in her travels. So, when a client like Melissa tells us about an amazing experience she had like the one here, we listen! She was most impressed by the hospitality of the staff even with his arrival in the wee hours of the morning. After her gig the following day she enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant and a cocktail at the bar. After resting up in her clean, comfortable, and spacious room, she started the next day off with an amazing complimentary breakfast before getting back out on the road. With such a resounding endorsement, we look forward to sending more of our clients to stay with you when in the Grand Rapids area!

The room was beautiful, great view and well taken care of. Only complaint is the one room with all the windows was cold, but it did have like 8 huge windows and it was single digits outside. Breakfast was pretty decent. Good was high quality.

Great place! Rooms are very clean. Staff is friendly. They have great food for an early dinner that is free for guests, as well as a great breakfast. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because there is no parking on the property. It is downtown, so parking is half a block away and costs $18.00 for overnight parking. You have 20 minutes to unload your car in front of the hotel, then move it to the parking garage. I plan on staying there again my next trip to Grand Rapids.

I have stayed here twice with my wife. The rooftop bar is great! Beautiful views of the city while enjoying some libations and the open air. During the winter, the bar inside is open and the service is phenomenal. Everyone is willing to help and the place is brand new. It was very clean both times. The views are great and really make Grand Rapids feel bigger than it is.

Fabulous downtown historic building that was renovated into one and two bedroom suites. The suites are HUGE with wonderful ambience. Old 2" slated woods floors with brick wall accents. Tall ceilings and large, modem bathrooms with granite counter tops. The staff are extremely helpful and cheerful. Breakfasts were good. The mini kitchen contained a full size refrigerator, mini dish washer, microwave and 2 burner stove. No oven. My only negative comment is that there was only a 2 cup coffee maker. They really should put in a regular drip coffee maker. I highly recommend this venue.

This hotel was BEAUTIFUL! If you lover well cared for architecture then you will love this hotel. The rooms have beautiful exposed brick and original hardwood floors. It didn't feel like a hotel room but a loft apartment in a big city. If it was an apartment i would rent it. They have a rooftop deck, it was closed when we were there because it being late November but I can guarantee it's a great spot to hang out in the summer time.

Great location! The rooms are beautiful and very unique. The staff was very friendly and helpful since this was our first time in the area. The floors are kind of creaky in the hallways but we couldn't hear anything while in our room. They offered small plates and a happy hour type service, very impressive! The free breakfast in the morning was tasty and had a very wide variety of options. I will definitely be staying again next time I'm in town!

The veiw was amazing. The room would have been perfect if it was clean. We almost complained. But then we met Chris. He was our bartender. He was hands down the best person working in that place. He's what gets the 5 stars. Cause the room we had was disgusting.

Great location and nice rooms. Only complaint is the very creaky wooden floors everywhere. You can hear the people above you and next to you. Aside from that, the rooms were very nice and the free breakfast was amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Grand Rapids. MI. The staff was extremely courteous and the suite was comfortable with a full kitchen, bathroom (handicapped equipped), nice living room area and comfortable king size bed. I was here for a week and enjoyed a nice hot breakfast daily and it was close to all of the museums, the river and Monroe Center. Unfortunately being later in the. year, the rooftop lounge was not open. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Grand Rapids.

Everything was perfect . Hotel is in close proximity to the entire downtown area.
I was even upgraded to a suite for being a Diamond member.
I also want to commend the staff especially Justin for communicating with me during my stay via text message to ensure all of my needs were being met. Very well done. I will certainly be back

Features the one and only rooftop bar in GR that's open to the public for; beer, wine, or cocktails. Nope, they don't have food -- but they allow you to pack a picnic basket, or order delivery. It's the best view in the city, and a great place for dates, watch sports, or hangout. They have a retractable roof and heaters so they're open rain or shine (excluding during thunderstorms ⛈ and private parties 🎉 -- I typically call before coming to be sure they're open, but definitely worth it).

Hours of operation: 5 -11 seven days a week, tell your friends!

Simply enter the elevator and hit, "R".

This place was pretty cool, they preserved the original brick and wood from whatever era the building was built. Room was large and comfortable. Overall this was a decent place to stay, and if I was staying longer, it would have been perfect with the kitchen and fridge present.

Nice space, but the flooring is not kind... it creaks. Everywhere. In the lobby, hallways, rooms. When trying to sleep, you can hear the upstairs neighbors and those to the left and right walking around. Also, the construction across the street? Started at 730 in the morning. I had a late night in, but a late start and wanted to sleep in. Nope. Otherwise, LOVELY space. Friendly staff. Very clean. And wonderful location.

My stay was wonderful! The staff were phenomenal, my room was beautiful, and the location was perfect. There was a small issue with a railing and some of the flooring in my suite and after I shot off an email, the assistant general manager personally called me to let me know it'd be taken care of very quickly. It's staff like these fine folks that bolster my loyalty to Hilton Hotels! My only real complaint is the cost of the attached parking garage, but that's Ellis Parking so that doesn't count (plus you can park in the Pearl & Ionia garage a block away for about half the cost). Overall a great experience and I would gladly stay again!

The hotel is a little pricey but it's downtown and makes up for it in a couple ways. They have many complimentary items besides just breakfast and the rooms are clean and nice. I enjoy the brick wall and hardwood floor as something different for a hotel. Really lovely room but the floors squeak and the sound proofing could be better. $30 a day to park. Nice people.

I've stayed in at a Hilton chain every week since November and this has been my best experience so far thanks to Prentiss at the front desk. When we checked in we were helped by Prentice! He we very helpful and extremely nice. He gave us a fabulous room with a nice city view. Stayed here for a concert at Van Andel on 5/11/17. Hotel is nice, clean and fresh, lady at front desk said it is almost a year old. Rooms are stylish and have a full size fridge, small cook top, dish washer, and cabinets of dishes/plates/utensils. The free breakfast was great too, it was not just bagels and cereal, it was real cooked food! The only issue I had was the smoke alarm battery started going off at 2am. Front desk replaced it when we asked but the batteries should be replaced on an annual schedule before they start chirping in the middle of the night when people are trying to sleep.

I was very impressed with the whole package. The building is just beautiful: the historical aspect that was preserved adds so much charm and warmth! The rooms were surpisingly so big and spacious and had everything anyone could ever need away from home: a kitchen area, office area, living area, bedroom area and big vanity with a great walk in shower stall!!! And quality finishes! The pool and the work out room so user friendly. The breakfast was delicious and lots of food choices for everyone. The best part however is the staff. Ebony at the reception desk is the friendliest hotel staff person I have ever encountered and she made us feel very special. The rooftop bar staff were amazing and I wish I remembered the lady's name but she filled our little cups with treats and she had conversations with us and was very accommodating. I honestly cannot say enough!

Great historical building. Friendly staff. Good selection at breakfast. The rooms have wonderful hardwood floors (which I assume are original). They are extremely squeaky though. I felt guilty walking on them because I didn't know how noisy it was for my downstairs neighbor. I tried walking on egg shells the whole time!

Fantastic facility! Modern refurbishment of an old downtown building. Views of the Ledyard building from the Pearl Street side. Spacious suites, possibly the only hotel downtown with self-catering options. Walking distance to Grand Central Market, a small convenience grocery, or ride the DASH to Downtown Market. Free light dinner and evening drinks during the week. Perfect location downtown. Close to buses including free DASH, so skip the $35 parking fee. Excellent staff, especially Prentis at check-in who resolved a bank snafu for us. Breakfast buffet pretty expansive. Check out the rooftop in warmer months.

This hotel is by far one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed at. The room was of exceptional quality and huge. Spacious suite rooms, with plenty of amenities. Full frig in kitchette with marble counter tops, small office work-space up front, spacious separate bedroom (very dark at night, due to no windows) and a small living room area with couch and small breakfast table. Full, warm breakfast along with evening snacks and drinks (wine and beer), make this spot a new favorite in downtown GR.

This hotel is beautiful, with an amazing location and views around. The moment you walk in the front door your greeted by a modern yet historic atmosphere. The hotel is in a roughly 200 year old building (the wood floors and bricks are original!) The hotel is also extremely safe, with a nice feature that only hotel members can access certain areas with a room key. Furthermore, the Hilton hotel app allows you to use your phone as a room key! The room was well kept, spacious, and the view of downtown makes for a fantastic way to wake up in the morning. Staff are friendly and the hotel is well kept up, and everything has a nice sleek look. Highly recommended!

This hotel was great! The renovated suites are very modern and spacious. The rooftop bar was a great touch. Lobby/common area was very inviting. breakfast was great. Only very minor tweak I would make was that the TVs in the rooms were in an awkward position and not easily viewed from couch or bed. But other than that, it was exactly what we had hoped it would be! I would highly recommend.

Fantastic room-- reminded me of a studio apartment, great breakfast-- included in room price, decent wifi-- good enough for casual browsing but a little slow for video chatting.

The only downside was some loud construction they were doing for a day on the room next to mine. I wouldn't expect a Hilton-owned hotel to be so inconsiderate to guests and do construction while the adjacent room is occupied.

Katie at the bar on the 2nd floor made my trip-- I went during happy hour and she let me know where to visit in the area and what local beers to try. Wish they had copper cups, her Moscow mule was great but wish they had the right cup!! Thanks for a great visit!

It's an interesting place. Cool design concept by building in an old structure and retaining some of the original architectural details. Lighting in the rooms is horrible—daylight CFLs already seem outdated and cheap for a restoration project like this. Motion sensing bathroom lights guarantee nobody will sleep after a late night bathroom trip. The rooftop bar is cool, but the hotel is asking big city prices for drinks, and the venue is only accessible by guests for some reason.

Great new rooms with a ton of amenities. Very modern and clean spacious rooms. Just make sure you take the elevator to floor two for the lobby it could be marked better. Parking is cheaper elsewhere, and not included also.
