Very nice hotel, with suite rooms (1 bedroom with a door that shuts to separate the living room). The staff was friendly and saved me multiple times with things I forgot/needed, like a sewing kit, tooth brushes, and tape. Everything was clean and enjoyable.

I’m on the fence about our experience at this hotel. We stayed for 3 days. Pros- very nice suites with full kitchen, updated, clean, nice front desk staff and the housekeepers made my daughters bed up and artfully arranged all of her stuffed animals and stuff which was a really sweet touch. Cons- we are breakfast at the hotel twice (once towards the end of the breakfast hours and once at the beginning) and it was sparse and veg picked over. This was very frustrating as there was only one type of fruit to choose from each day, 2 cereal options, hot bar was completely out on one of the days and the waffle batter so low that we couldn’t get enough out to make a waffle. Very disappointing. Also, the pool is frigid. We tried for 3 days to go swimming and it was just too cold to move around- we didn’t make it last chest level each time. The water was so cloudy you couldn’t see your feet but the chlorine smell was so strong that my eyes were irritated for hours after. The jacuzzi was scolding hot as well. We (and others) complained about the temperature of the pool and jacuzzi and were told that they couldn’t do anything until the manager came in (which was after our stay was over, Monday morning).

Well so far so good. Impressed with the updates. My wife and I always look for Homewood suites because we like the room size and amenities for the price (4 kids). Haven't been to pool yet but so far everything super clean. Staff very nice thus far. Definitely a step up with the renovations. The Columbus one we stayed I hear is getting the redo and it will definitely be a weekend stop for us. Hopefully the one we stayed at in New Jersey gets the same.

Their evening social calendar is awesome. Free Ice cold draft beer and dinner or snack Monday-Thursday evening! Definately worth staying here! Also the rooms are huge and homey.

Its a nice hotel. Rooms clean and fairly modern .. great beds. This is just me ... I dislike IPA type beers and thats all they have, either to buy or at social hour. I prob wont go back just for that reason - I'm a beer traditionalist. Beer constitutionalist u might say.

Very clean hotel. Everyone we encounter was very friendly and helpful. The room was large. We had a sitting room that doubled as a 3rd bed for an adult. It also had a large fridge, microwave, sink, and even a little stove top. However we didn’t use any of them. All appeared to be new The main sleeping area was also spacious. The beds we soft and felt great. The bathroom area was also very clean and looked like it was kept up well. The breakfast in the morning had a lot of options. Waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurt, several bread options, and plenty of juice and coffee. The only reason I am holding back one star is for little things. We didn’t have enough towels and it took a while to get them. We also ran out of toilet paper and there weren’t any spares. We had to call for more of it as well. They did deliver that fairly quickly. I would absolutely stay here again though.

We used the hotel as a getting ready suite for a wedding party. It was super roomy, had a small kitchen area and the employees were all super friendly and helpful. We also used their conference room and outdoor patio so hang out after the wedding and use as a storage room for flower delivery, and it was a nice, relaxed way to begin and and the day.

This is a very nice place to stay. We had a two-room suite that was clean and nicely appointed. It missed being 5 stars because if the snarly attitude exhibited by one of the people staffing the breakfast area. It doesn't take a big effort to be nice.

Yes, I would stay here again. Everyone else was very friendly and helpful.

Nice place to stay, but I reserved ba 2 bedroom suite which they over booked so for Christmas my family was split into 3 rooms. If it wasn't for that I would have given it 5 stars. The breakfast was good and went til 10am which was really nice. And they have 12 check out. The beds we're comfortable and the room size was great. It was nice having a full size fridge and a little kitchen to have food while staying there. The kids liked the pool which was nice and warm. Most of the staff was friendly.

This hotel is starting to show its age a little. Rooms were good size but not very well lit. Gym was good size but some of the equipment wasn't working. Pool had some foam floating in it. Breakfast was not very good. Few healthy options, no fruit, minimal yogurts.

This is a solid 3-star facility with super nice staff! We made a couple of rookie suite stayer mistakes like getting uncooked sausages for breakfast (the fan vents out of the top into the room without the ability to open a window). And i wish there had been measuring cups. But all of that was over shadowed by how large the 2 double queen suite was. And that was overshadowed by how quite the rooms were. We enjoyed the pool area and the morning buffet. We did not get to the evening one. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will do it again.

I was there today doing hair for a bridal party, I always go to the front desk when I get there to see if they have short/low chairs and a full length mirror.. which they didn't have! I said no big deal thank you for looking! A few minutes later the GM Ryan come into the room we were in doing hair and said he was running to the store and buying two full length mirrors.... truly am still speechless and so appreciative that there are still people in this world who take going above and beyond to an entire new level! Thank you so much!

Greeted with warm smiles from the front desk staff as soon as i walked in... during conversation, I told them it was our 27th anniversary... about an hour later...a knock at our door..a staff member was there with a card and gift certificate...how Awesome was that.. that goes above and beyond customer service. Thank you to ALL the staff. Really enjoyed our suite and the personal little notes left in our room.

Very clean, updated. Really nice patio area with gas grills. The staff who checked us in was very friendly. I stood in line for 7 minutes just to check out. Breakfast was satisfactory. Hotel was quiet, except for the noise of the freeway (our room windows faced the freeway). Pool area was nice, very warm, pool water warm, plenty of towels. Two elevators on opposite sides of the hotel were convenient. Kitchenette was well stocked with bowls, pots, silverware, etc for a family of four.

Nice bed, good shower. Breakfast is nice; they have a a waffle maker. Dishes in dishwasher were not clean when we arrived, and there are a variety of strange noises that come from...probably the central air? Full kitchen is great. Would recommend.

Great value for money overall.
1. check in/check out was fast, easy and friendly. plenty of parking as well.
2. The hotel smelt very good. It didn't smell of cleaning products or new plastic/paint. It was warm and welcoming.
3. Very clean, from the halls, to the rooms, to the bed.
4. The room had literally everything I needed from good TV channels, free wifi, hot shower, even the kitchenette was fully stocked with clean utensils.
5. The breakfast is free. It was decent, but could've been better. Good 24hr coffee section, waffles, yogurt, fruits, juice.

We stayed here for three nights when my mother had surgery at Akron General. The staff here is top notch. The suite was so comfortable. The breakfast and dinners were very good. But the best thing about this place was the people, from the front desk to the kitchen/dining staff to the maid service. Everyone was nice and friendly and extremely helpful. They made it a very pleasant experience. The next time I come to Akron I will be staying here. And if I travel anywhere else I will check out Homewood Suites first.

Clean, comfortable and welcoming are 3 words I'd use to describe this place. I've been here several times and, without exception, have been treated with respect, competence and smiles - even arriving late at night. Has a decent indoor pool and hot tub area. Breakfast provides many choices. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby 24/7. And it's right in the middle of any shopping/services needs one could imagine.

Nice Location. Room had a separate bedroom with queen bed, large flat screen. A Vanity and separate bath. The main room consisted of a couch with hide-a-bed, a chair and ottoman in the living area. The kitchen area had a table, 2 nice wide comfortable chairs, a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, 2 burner stovetop ( not an oven) and dishes.

They always be there when you need them :)
The rooms are very nice and clean, despite there's some certain area in the closet door need a little touching.
The coffee bar was keeping up ready for every morning or afternoon break.
Laundry room was very clean and tidy.

The breakfast was very great! They had all fruits, sausages, eggs, waffle maker, different kind of cereals and yogurts. My kids enjoy it very much.

Make sure you subscribed with Hilton HHonor reward for more benefit :)

Thanks to Jen, Jenni Lee and Nick for being there when we need you. Also the young lady who always be there at night when our kids got back late at night!!! Keep on good job!!!

Homewood Suites is conveniently located off of a major highway in Akron but still tucked away so that you're not in the middle of a busy intersection when you're getting in or leaving the property. Their breakfast and evening Lobby options for food are top quality the rooms are clean the bed is comfortable for my money there's no place I'd rather stay. I'm typically my companies paying for it anyways.

The room had everything I could ever need and was very clean. There is a good amount of space in the room, which makes multi-night stays a lot more bearable. The atmosphere in the lobby and common areas is very social.

Large comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Nice pool and gym area. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options.

When we checked in online I picked a ground floor room near the pool. We were traveling with 3 small jetlagged children and the grandparents so we thought this would work best. When we got there we were given a room on the 3rd floor. No problem, until we got a call around 8am that the person below us was complaining of noise which was pretty good since the kids were up since 5am. We also heard every footstep from the people above us but were exhausted from traveling so it didn't stop us from passing out.

I was disappointed by the fact that I had to unload the dishwasher and the coffee supplies were not stocked. For the rate per night, I expect these things to be done prior to check in.

My husband and I booked this hotel for one night after calling around and many others were booked. We were given a great rate and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel at first. The room was awesome: large with every kitchen item you would ever need, a full refrigerator, living room with separate bedroom and a television in each one.

However, on closer inspection, the room wasn't as clean as we would have liked. There was some purple gunk caked on the bathroom wall as well as the bedskirt; the coffee table was obviously cleaned with a dirty rag, and the grout in the bathroom was dirty. We discovered that the rooms had been renovated less than a year ago, which tells us that the cleaning staff is not properly cleaning the bathrooms if the grout is that dirty. It made us wonder what else was dirty in the room...

The next morning, my husband and I made our way to breakfast around 9:15 (it was meant to last until 10.) The first staff we encountered was a cleaning woman with her cart blaring music from her phone. We actually heard it in our room and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. OK...

We were not the only ones in the lobby area eating, but we seemed to be the last ones to get breakfast. After gathering our food and sitting down for about 5 minutes, the hotel staff began congregating in the lobby area. They sat down near us and other customers and began chatting. We were seriously baffled; it was around 20 staff. Then two manager-like people showed up and began conducting a cleaning staff meeting. What??? There is nowhere else to do this? At this time it was about 9:30, and again, breakfast was served for guests until 10. This is when we learned that the rooms had been renovated less than a year ago. We also learned all the things that customers had complained about. After their meeting, the cleaning staff descended upon the breakfast and ate it in the lobby area while chatting loudly and making phone calls. Again, there is nowhere else to do this?

Mind you, my husband and I don't care if meetings are held and we could care less if the staff eats the leftover breakfast. Nothing going to waste, right? But seriously, holding meetings in a part of the hotel that guests frequent and allowing the staff to eat, gab, and make phone calls in the same area is probably the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in a hotel. Who came up with this??? Also, there is a smoking area designated in the back of the hotel. About 4 staff were smoking right outside a side guest entrance/exit near the lobby, in direct violation of law and creating a smoke cloud for guests to walk through. We actually ended up walking through it because that door was closest to our car.

Honestly, at first, we were impressed with the Homewood Suites, but after the dirtiness of the room, experiencing the cleaning staff's meeting, and witnessing their break time we won't be back. We've never been at a hotel charging this price for a room that allows their staff to be so unprofessional. And we know this isn't the cleaning staff's fault....standards are set by management. I'd recommend steering clear of Homewood Suites in Fairlawn.
