Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

The people are amazing I would give them a 10 especially Krystal. But the food has taken a down turn unfortunately. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. I love it here

Is worth the 5 star rating so far. Doubt desk people are friendly, and were very helpful at check in. Helped me choose a place to eat on this, my first night here. Will see how the stay progresses... 5 starts so far.

Right off I95 in Bel Air. They are renovating right now. Pool, fitness room, bbq area, well done breakfast. Rooms are well appointed with hot water aplenty, tvs, and comfy beds.

My husband and I have stayed multiple times at your hotel. It came highly recommended by my brother and his family who also chose your hotel as their first choice
We were there the day the woman checked in Dec 2017 and gave you an terrible review and was very demanding to the staff and actually rude !
Both the manager and the front desk young lady were very polite to her
Yes the hotel is undergoing construction I agree
We ate breakfast very early the next morning and the food area was very clean
Housekeeping brought us extra towels immediately after asking for the next morning since we were not going to have them make the beds
We just stayed there again this past week and received excellent care
We also booked again in the future
Thank you for all you do for your guests

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Homewood Suites in Bel Air. The Front Desk attendants are very friendly and very helpful. The evening reception was nice and the hostess Maggie was very engaging and very friendly. The breakfast girl Kristal was also very attentive and served a delicious breakfast.

Renovations were ongoing and it was quite an improvement since my last stay over a year ago. The renovations did not inconvenience me or disturb me in any way.

Overall, I always enjoy my stays here and look forward to seeing the same faces every time i go back.

I would give this hotel a 5 star rating except for the management, video (long term guest) and thank heavens renovations! Google wont let me give it 4 1/2 stars.
PS- The new dining hall looks great!!!!!
Now with the pluses..the staff is friendly (*****), I have not met a rude or curt person in my entire stay. You can bring your pets which was very helpful (please bring bags for your cleanup). I like breakfast in the morning and this hotel does not disappoint, from yogurt with various condiments, Belgian waffles to the normal cereals to the hot bar which changes daily. They have a cook on weekday mornings who is creative, without whom, over time the breakfasts would become mundane(*****). Also 4 days a week they have a snack bar from 5:30 to 7:30 pm which is nice, especially for those of us here long term(*****). I am not positive, but you have coffee 24/7 I believe. There is a computer area if you did not bring a laptop. There is a pool and hot tub on first floor down hallway from front desk(****).

The room I am in, is spacious with a bedroom (I would show pics but I have boxes everywhere from my house and its Christmas time -unwrapped presents). There is a small mini kitchen with full sized refrigerator, cooktop (2 burners) and dishwasher. The living room is spacious and sleeps 2 maybe even 3.
The bedroom is the size of a regular hotel room with 2 queen beds, comfortable.
Bathroom is nice with sink area outside tub and toilet area, so it is spacious as well(room-*****). TV in both the main area and bedroom have HBO and Cinemax as well as a multitude of other channels. You have no options for any type of additional video (think long term guest) which is fine for a get away. However, video or HDMI connectivity for long term people would be great, (gaming, additional movies). I understand why its not there overall, but there should be an optional workaround for long term guests. Just my opinion (***).

Overall, for the pricing I have seen for this room, it is outstanding value for the cost. The employees are great and while I did some of my own clean up while here, the girl who services the floor I am on, knew exactly what I would want from day to day and had it ready-EVERY DAY(*****). The major difference between this and a 5 star hotel are two things- the management and decor (comfort and design)(**). Also you do not get free breakfast at a diamond hotel (the focus is on quality and individual personal service).
This hotel is in a quiet location and close to husbands work which along with the kitchen, is why it was chosen. Great little place, I would stay here again..anytime.

Nice rooms, very helpful staff, and quiet while I was there. The breakfast area was tidy and well stocked. I was on business so I did not have time to check the pool and gym, but they looked good walking by. I would stay again.

Very updated, clean rooms. Staff and housekeeping we're very courteous. The bedding, lobby and courtyard areas were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was above standard in that they had served the yogurt with a nice supply of yummy granola and fresh berries to add on top. One star was taken off for the pool looking very cloudy. It just didn't have that "Come in for a swim!" feel/look to it, lol, as well as wishing they offered roll-a-beds. Lots of places to eat nearby, including several places that will deliver. Would def stay here again.

Rooms are spacious and the hotel has many amenities and is conveniently located. One issue is that the bedding is overly warm and makes it difficult to stay comfortable. Would also be good to have a free water in the room as well.

I love this place. Suite Rooms are clean, large, and have a sofa bed, couch sitting area, two tv's, Stove, Microwave, large refrigerator/freezer, Ice Maker, auto dishwasher and the hotel provides pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, coffepot and auto dishwashing pots. The morning buffet is awesome! Fresh fruit, self made waffles, danishes, cereal, juices, hot scrambled eggs, sausage links, homestyle potatoes, real oatmeal (not powdered), fresh coffe, and all served on real china, and silverware, no paper and plastic! Love it!

The location is close enough to the freeway to be convenient (it takes about a minute to get there once you exit the freeway) but far away enough that you don't hear freeway noise. A nice little pub and a Pizza Hut are within walking distance.

Big roomy suites, set up like an apartment with full size fridge & kitchen. We had 2 queen bed suite w/pull out sleeper couch in next room. Clean, New, Nice Pool & Jacuzzi. Receptionists were great & gave us idea to visit historical lighthouse nearby. Best free breakfast I've had, not like other hotels, it's a big spread with omelets, bacon, yogurt & oatmeal bar, hot blueberry muffins, waffles & much much more! Close to all stores & restaurants & gas stations you need.

UPDATE 5 Star: I gave this hotel anther shot 2 years later and I was amazed by their service and accommodation. Truly a remarkable turnaround. Team members like Marivelle from housekeeping made what would normally be a standard work trip into a very enjoyable stay. Thank you so much!!

ORIGINAL 3 Star: I was there for about 55 days and as a diamond member I have to say I've never been less happy with the service from a Hilton chain. I worked nightshift from 7pm to 7am while I was there and despite a large number of requests from my coworkers and I, management would not change the room service hours which were around 8am to 4pm. Because of the conflicting schedule, I had to change the sheets and clean the room myself for about two months. Not the worst thing in the world, but when you give somebody your business you expect a little accommodation. On top of that, housekeeping continually woke me up to try to clean despite the Do Not Disturb sign hanging up.

The rooms were excellent and the overall facility was great, it's a shame I wasn't able to enjoy my stay there.
