ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Loved it. Even though I'll never go back due to the fact my only reason for my trip to Boston, MA was not a great one, RIP brother i loved my entire stay there. Great hospitality all around. Complimentary breakfast and lunch what more could you ask for. Yes the food was great.

Good hotel and location for touring Boston. Right next to 77 bus route to take you to Harvard and the T. Got 7 day passes for bus and subway, and kids 11 and under are free, so we didn't have to drive in Boston. Good breakfast also to fill everyone up before a long day.

Very friendly staff, updated clean rooms with comfortable beds. Water pressure in the shower was outstanding. Walking trails around the property. Decent restaurant and a CVS in the same parking lot. $15-20 Uber ride into Boston. Would definitely stay here again as a more cost effective option vs staying right in the city.

Overall a fine experience. The location is awesome - close to Alewife and Davis T stations. Many restaurants band bars within walking distance. Rooms are nice, as long as you don't look too closely at the details. My rooms had a full fridge, freezer, and 2 burner cooktop and included a small kitchen table and 2 chairs. Unfortunately this hotel is under construction so there was construction dust and maintenance ongoing throughout our stay. The service was very good and all staff were pleasant and attentive. There is an underground parking garage that seems pretty safe. Some hallways had a strange smell. Decent breakfast and standard Hilton coffee. Nice looking fitness center and laundry room is a great plus!

The hotel is located 4 miles from downtown. Our rooms are spacious and clean. Along with the complimentary breakfast they also have complimentary light dinner and tons of places in the walking distance to eat. Driving to downtown can be hard because of traffic it can take more than 30 minutes to drive 4 miles but without traffic it only takes 15 minutes.

A great place to stay with your family! Good sized rooms, free Wi-Fi, a great free breakfast, surprisingly a free light dinner with one entrée, salad, fresh lemonade and fruit, and finally free parking right under the hotel. That is a lot of free for the price (they also had free cookies at check-in). The rooms have two temperature controls to keep bedroom and living area warm. Also a full kitchen.

The staff was extremely accommodating. Common areas were more than adequate for out of town guests to gather the night before my son's wedding. I had the best night's sleep I've had in a really long time! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend Homewood Suites in Arlington to anyone coming to town.

Nice location. There is a bar and grill in the same parking lot. Rooms are nice and affordable for the area. My only complaint would be inconsistant water temperature.

Roomy accommodations - suite set-up: bedroom with bath, kitchen with living area. Bed and pillows very comfortable, sofa a bit stiff. Free WiFi which is great. Free breakfast daily - and a nice surprise was free light dinner if you are there Monday through Thursday. Best of all - free parking (a huge plus in the Boston area). Although not a big issue, sink and tub drained slowly. Location - easy access since it is on Massachusetts Avenue. Nice restaurant/bar right next door. On the whole, loved my stay and will return if I need to come to this area of the state.

We booked a one bedroom suite whose (pullout) couch was very useful for a third guest. The complimentary breakfast was unusually open to all three of us unlike many other hotels I've visited. One night, a member of our party couldn't get in because we forgot the deadbolt on and the hotel put him up in a room for free that night. All staff members we met were very kind and polite. Other top-notch amenties: - A kitchen with utensils and eatware. - Underground parking useful for Boston winter's - A CVS next door

Hotel seems to have hot water management issues. My shower (rm 232) was lukewarm, but not bad enough to complain. My colleague had cold water in his room, notified the desk, and it still wasn't fixed. Heard other people in the breakfast area also complaining about cool water.

Perfectly acceptable hotel. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The toiletries were pretty basic though and the lobby was nice, clean and basic. There's parking underneath which is super convenient and tons of stores restaurants, and t stops near by! Saying its a Boston hotel is a bit of a stretch though!

Nice place. They gave our room to someone else. But they fixed it and made it right. The employee told us breakfast ended at 9. So we thought we missed it. It was open til 10 so we were able to get some grub. Nice place.

2 tvs a fireplace a fully stocked kitchen and 2 thermostats, the rooms have everything you need. Girls will like the Neutrogena brand soap and shampoo. Good service as well. Didn't try the breakfast but there was a great diner within walking distance.

The staff was very friendly, the location is beautiful, and the amenities are quite nice. My only gripe is that rather than having two proper beds to a room, seemingly all rooms have one queen sized bed and a pull-out. The pull-out was (reportedly) not uncomfortable, but parties needing multiple beds may find this less than ideal.

Natural gas fills the rooms and hallways of this hotel, and they don't have a method to completely shut off the fireplaces in guest rooms which burn and release natural gas all the time though the heat is mostly made by air conditioning units. They have rooms without fireplaces but those rooms still have natural gas because the whole building is immersed in natural gas, you may smell the gas outside and nearby the building. So the housekeepers are generally having tired and sick faces not only because they mostly work six days per week, but also possibly because their red blood cells ( hemoglobin ) are being disabled gradually by the CO from natural gas. They provide just-so-so foods in which some items like fruits are totally missing in random whole mornings, and they don't have non-fat yogurt, only low-fat and whole fat ones. The good thing about this hotel is it has wide corridors.

Location great. Customer service has been hit or miss. Room is in need of update. Broken dresser handles, drain and the heater sounds like a freight train. The worst: they are completely out of caffeinated coffee packs for in room coffee. They were nice enough to adjust my reservation for me prior to check in though. But, I'm having a hard time accepting the coffee situation....

The location is great, and the hotel is easy to see from the street. The first thing you notice when you walk into the lobby is the friendly desk clerk who will help you find anything you're looking for. We were able to get instructions for the Boston Transit, and being from up north, we don't travel on the T often. It's too bad that you have to park in a garage and not a parking lot which is much easier to get to, but I guess it's what you get when you're "in the city". When you step into the elevator, you may find that there's a strong stench of cleaners in there, which can or cannot be a problem. It's the guestrooms that are the highlight of this hotel. The television has as so many channels, which if you have cable, is pretty good. The mattresses are very comfortable, and the linens were always clean. Only, we were hoping to get a better hotel room for the price we paid for it. But again, it is in the city. The big THUMBS DOWN for us was that there was no pool, but it is in the city. The in-room kitchen is good, if you're staying for a week. I wish that there was a room that didn't have one for guests that are staying for two nights, and it would be a little cheaper. The interesting surprise we had when we were there is that the hotel staff sent out a notice saying, "We will be testing our fire alarm system from 8 am tomorrow till the afternoon". IF you have young kids, it's not exactly the most humble, non-surprising wake up call. Overall, our experience was great. We enjoyed the free dinner and breakfast, and were glad to find a place to stay that was outside of Boston. If we ever needed to get into the city again, we would definitely consider this place. Good job, Homewood!

My husband and I went here for a small vacation and I loved the hotel!! I am really picky about where and what I sleep in. No worries here. Things were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone but make sure you book a month or two in advance to get a good rate. When checking in we found out the rate had went up $150 from when we booked!!! It was truly a great find!

Good location, many eateries around on Mass ave and subway station is just a 10 min walk away. The complimentary breakfast is good but kind of repetitive (if you are staying more than week). They also serve a welcome home dinner on Mon-Thu between 5-7 pm. Staff is also quite nice and very helpful. Other amenities include a small but decently equipped gym, guest laundry and the room (or suite) has a kitchenette. Only thing lacking is a pool, but I am not sure how many hotels around Boston have one. Complimentary internet access is however slow at 512 kbps; I would expect at least 1 mbps per guest as it's pretty standard everywhere.
