ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Very clean and comfy! The food was amazing and the staff made it all that much better! Raponda and Shawn were so friendly and kind. They truly cared and it was like being at home. Their kindness made me a Homewood Suites customer for life. Thank you all SO much!

Nice pool and rooms have stove with two burners, pots and pan's microwave' kitchen table, full size fridge and the windows open in the room. We got stuck in a smoking room did not smell good. If you book through a travel site you must pay $50 but you will get the money back if no damages. Good place to stay overall. The hotel is between to car lots and you can catch the bus.

Very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff - from Front Desk, to Jessica and Raponda that serviced the breakfast area, to all of the housekeeping folks! My family and I truly enjoyed our stay, and we look forward to the next time we stay at Homewood Suites near Riverbanks Zoo. Did I mention that it's only 5 minutes from the Zoo? AWESOME!

This is a great location! It was my first time staying in a Homewood Suites. The suite was well laid out. Love that the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. The air conditioning was quiet and worked super well. The shower had great water pressure and drained really well. However, the bedroom had a ceiling fan that needed to be cleaned quite a bit and their was hair in the refrigerator.

My husband that I've been separated from for many years took me on a Very nice date night. It included a stay at the Homewood suites jacuzzi suite!
A great dinner followed by relaxing in the jacuzzi!
I'm disabled and was happy to see it had great access for the Disabled.
It was clean, Gorgeous, quiet and romantic.
The room was Breathtakingly Beautiful with a heart shaped jacuzzi, a nice soft and comfy bed and clean everything! It even had a living room and kitchen area with a table to eat! Staycation?! It was less than 30 mins from home but felt like a wonderful vacation!!!
I definitely recommend this awesome jacuzzi suite! It was shaped in a heart!! If you want to impress your partner, THIS is what you do! A vacation just away from home, even if it's up the road! Cannot say enough how much I loved it!

Service was excellent. (Thank you Howard for being a gracious host) the hotel is very clean and well maintained. I don't like the fact they still have smoking rooms because you can still smell the remnants. However a nice hotel all around.

Great hotel! Customer service was top tier. The receptionist Mr. Wilson was courteous and quickly checked me in my room. The room was clean with plenty of toiletries and towels to use. The only two gripes I had concerning the hotel was that the pool was closed and the elevators had a dank smell to them. Held my breath for about 10 seconds every time I boarded an elevator, lol.

The second time around was much better than the first. The guy at the front desk didn't seem to acknowledge the fact that I was a Gold Member, nor did he deliver my towels after promising he would. However, Lindsay, the Assistant General Manager, was a breath of fresh air!!! She not only thanked me for being a Gold Member, she asked how my stay was, and even gave me some Tylenol for my headache. She was a nice and caring person, and as long as she is there, I will come back to stay at that property.

Wonderful hotel. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in, and this is the only hotel I've seen that does pillows right, with a good amount of stuffing, not just as much as possible to make them look big. The rooms have a nice kitchen, which we didn't end up using since we were there overnight, but it's well-stocked with all the utensils and pans you'd need to cook. The separate living room was awesome: this was the first night of our week-long vacation when we felt we could really relax, since our baby was sleeping in a separate room instead of right at the foot of our bed.

The location is fantastic for access to the zoo, and not a long drive to Five Points, where the cool restaurants and bars are.

Breakfast was great, too. I wish we had gotten there in time for the evening social!

I woke up to a flat tire from a nail on the interstate. The hotel maintenance guy (Kevin) quickly arrived with a tire pump that plugged into my cigarette lighter outlet and got me on the road fast so I could get to a Firestone. I think we'll try to come back for a multi-day stay soon!

Good value! Was surprised to hear that they had a complimentary dinner in addition to complimentary breakfast Mon to Thu. Room was spacious and the separate living area worked out well for us so our baby could sleep there while we stayed in the bedroom. Front desk staff was also very friendly!

Good hotel. Good breakfast and good rooms. However with little modifications will be superb, like having coke vending machine or coffee vending machine. Probably a shuttle van service for airport and downtown area. Tie-up with Domino's or the grocery shops for things. In kitchen all's good probably a rice cookers will be a great thing. Probably that should help making this hotel a 5 star 🏨.

So after I explain my experience, it is going to be shocking that I am giving three stars BUT the rooms are HUGE, and staff is great, and the facilities are well kept. That being said, I was checking in late one night, and the very nice, very inexperienced front desk clerk gave me a key. I proceed to go to the room and walk in, and it is OCCUPIED! I walked in on a poor woman trying to get some sleep. Now, I travel a lot and have NEVER been given the key to an occupied room. Seems like about the biggest mistake you can make as a desk clerk. Then when I got to an empty room, there were no pillowcases on the bed. Still, I will probably stay here again but you can bet I’m using the deadbolt from the inside of the room when I’m there.

The rooms themselves are very nice and spacious. Staff is very friendly and courteous, we forgot toothpaste and they were able to accommodate. The pool area is well kept, smelled strongly of checmicals so I'm not sure I'd be comfortable using it. My chief complaint was with the breakfast which was lackluster (only 4 average hot items) but the main issues was that they said they ran out of food 45 minutes before breakfast was scheduled to end, which felt unacceptable for the room rate. Again, this is a minor inconvenience but one that shouldn't occur at this price point. Overall, the hotel is pretty good. Jetted tub is very nice and functional!

Got what I wanted and at a very reasonable price! Superior Salesman, no high pressure and was complementary of my trade in vehicle. That was part of the reason I did business with Dodgeland. Tommy (salesman), Is an honest man with the kind of integrity that everyone would hope to have when purchasing a vehicle. Went back to dealership with concern about operation of truck with 26000 miles on it(2017). Had bought an extended warranty of 7 yrs, for 1800 bucks, over the original 5 yr drive train that came with the truck . Tommy saw to it that I did not have to pay for a diagnostic fee. Really makes a customer feel as though they want my business.📈 INCREDIBLE Sales department.

on this trip we booked 2 rooms for my wife and i, our daughter and granddaughter. All 4 of us travel with multiple stays in different states and all brands of hotels. this hotel had the nicest staff we have seen in a few years, we talked to the cooks, the guy mobbing the floors, room cleaners, the front desk and even the room inspectors. the rooms are extra clean, well prepared for our arrival and we even booked talking to a real human not a computer. pool felt really good each night, the hot tube could have been a little hotter but eeryone enjoyed themselves. location is a 10 to down town, the zoo and is only a few minutes to the mall or airport. few hotels go this far to make the guests feel welcome. its the little big things like smiles, the greeting walking the halls, the evening social time for guys who get to know each other. thanks to the staff for such a great time and we highly recommend this hotel. our next trip in february we will be testing another one of their hotels, john of grace aviation ndmi

Stayed here for the night after our wedding! The room was everything we expected and more! A little kitchenette with a clean and comfortable bed and a great view. The prices this day were pretty good considering everything else in Columbia was booked for the homecoming game this year. I would recommend it to anyone driving through town. 👍

My suite was huge and well appointed, with everything I needed for a super comfortable stay. Although I didn't make use of it this trip, I appreciated the full kitchen, especially if I were to stay longer. The staff was friendly and eager to help, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious.

I've been staying here once every summer while passing through the city and while the rooms are great, the free breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The quality of the food seems to have gone downhill in recent years. Luckily, the rooms are always comfortable and it's nice to have a small kitchen and living room area.

Great location, really super nice front desk folks. Big room with kitchen. Room on the ground level near pool was not the quiet location I requested. Pool and sidewalk noise at night, maid stationed outside door in morning. TVs on exercise equipment don't work.

Over all good experience. But the toilet seat wouldn't stay up and the drain in the bathtub wouldn't drain properly. The cost to do laundry was $2 to do wash and $2 to do drying which I think is crazy. The rooms were really nice and the staff accommodating .

We visit Columbia frequently and Homewood Suites is our go to choice. Not to far from downtown and right off of the highway, makes it very convenient. With that being said, the staff and house keeping are phenomenal. We always get kind greetings and they are very accommodating. The breakfast has great options as well.

Not sure what could make this place any better honestly. Maybe have some small food items available all day like cookies or coffee available to guest. They do have coffee makers in room though. Only time food is available is between the given hours. But if that's all I can think of then this place is good.

Forced to stay here bc Embassy Suites botched our reservation. Clean and decent but suite was on the small side compared to Embassy. Was annoyed by little details neglected like no tv channel list, the book w local restaurants and info was missing, no wifi info page, they were out of rollaway cribs (newborn had to sleep in carseat), coffee missing from room, etc. And it was more expensive than Embassy and breakfast was one of those lame microwave egg and diy waffle stations. Embassy would have been a full real breakfast and a happy hour...

Pretty nice hotel located close to downtown Columbia. Room was fully stocked and clean, with a mini kitchen which includes a refrigerator, microwave, sink, and some cabinets. Employees were nice, but "upgraded" my father and I from a room with 2 Queen beds (what I reserved) to a room with 1 King bed. They were able to get us in the type of room I requested in about 15 minutes of informing them, but if they had been too full we would have been out of luck. There are elevators on both ends of the building, but there is only parking on one side of the building and a few spaces in the front, so if your room is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot it is a little bit of a walk. Building is right next to the street so there is some traffic noise, but not too bad. Area send pretty safe, the building is located between two car dealerships. Didn't check out the pool, but it seemed OK looking in from outside, although the hall outside it was very humid and smelled like chlorine, so that might be annoying if your room is in the hall right there. Overall, a pretty nice affordable place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay has been wonderful. Some issues with doors not reading keycards but staff has been fantastic about dropping everything to get us in and out of room as needed. We recently stayed at Homewood Suites in Columbia, SC for our oldest son's graduation from Fort Jackson. We have four children, including three boys with autism. Our suite was great, the staff was excellent and the facilities were great. Our kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the breakfast and dinners. Kayla was especially great at mealtimes and the hotel manager, Becca, was also very personable and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

How could anyone give this Hotel a bad review?
This is by far one of the top Hotels to stay at in Columbia.
Close to the Zoo, Downtown, river-walk.Staff Are friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Perhaps the ones who gave the bad reviews were just a little inebriated: must have mistaken it for some other place they stayed. A1 in my book I will stay here again.
