Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Homewood Suites! The suite was very clean and spacious. I also liked how the hotel was well taken care of. Also a close distance to Minute Maid Park and nearby restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

Staff is very attentive. The rooms are pre-loaded with towels, soaps, etc. so your all set. It's just a couple blocks away from the convention center and it's very easy to get there by foot.

Great location for downtown events. Comfortable room, lots of amenities. Breakfast was good, could have been a little better, only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Great hotel, everything was as promised. Our room was facing Minute Maid Park. Had huge windows. Room was huge and reasonably priced. I also enjoyed the breakfast. I will definitely be back here

It's ok. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to pay for reg parking. Just to park in front of it was $20 from 530 pm to 930 am. That means you technically have to check out early or pay extra for parking. They don't say it only, but valet parking is $30/day. The hotel looks very nice on the inside but it is shared with the Hampton Inn. My directions actually said Hampton and not Homewood when I added it to the gps. Just know the address is not taking you somewhere else. Breakfast was so so. Staff was not super helpful but did smile upon entering and gave us free water bottles.

Great location right near Minute Maid Park, which was our destination. Friendly staff, well-appointed rooms, reasonable rates. Main drawback was we waited an hour for dinner at the bar. Just chicken tenders and a burger. It was busy, sure, but it was a Saturday night during an Astros homestead when they should have known it'd be busy.

7

Nice but nothing exciting. Very clean. Confusing having 2 hotels in one building, and the booking systems are separate for some reason, meaning that I accidentally checked in as my father, who had a reservation in the other part of the hotel. Appreciated mouthwash as part of the provided toiletries.

The rooms are really large, too much actually there is a sensation of wasted space. The bed was comfortable, and the cuisine fixtures in working order. I dislike the bath tube instead of a shower cubicle and the gym was really poor.

I enjoyed my stay and felt the service was decent. I didn't see in the room a way to order food. The kitchen was a nice add, but my view was not the best. The bed was average and the cleaning crew did a great job with the room.

Paired as a double hotel with a Hampton Inn, this property has a fantastic location on the edge of downtown. A block to the convention center and a block from Minute Maid park, with easy access to I10. Employees were bright and cheerful, even on a crammed holiday weekend. Rooms were quiet and the blackout curtains fantastic. Breakfast was tasty and hot. Highly recommend

Very nice hotel. My only complaint was there was not any whipped cream for the waffles. But that is my only complaint. Staff was very friendly as well. Just know it is vale parking only though...there are lots around you could try to park yourself.

I've stayed in many hotels and everyone was so nice from the Valet to the front desk to the cleaning staff. My family of 6 fit perfectly and the kitchen is a major plus. This will be for sure our Hotel of choice going forward.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and professional. Enjoyed my stay with family. Had our family reunion for the weekend. The only complaint was the parking was a little expensive other than that I loved everything else. Julia Salinas in Food and Beverage is an exceptional employee who went above and beyond during each of our events.

This is one of my favorite staycation spots. Kitchenette makes perfect for keeping and cooking groceries from nearby Phoenicia. Walking distance to GRB, discovery green, and minute maid. Good rates, and great staff. Free breakfast.

We could see Minute Maid Park from our room window, took only 5 minutes to walk there. Since the reason for staying there was a ballgame, it was perfect. Clean rooms, friendly staff.

We booked several rooms 2 months in advance. When we arrived they didn't have all the rooms available. The room I stayed in was very large and clean. Overall it was a great stay with the exception of accommodating our entire party.

Front Desk isn't the most friendly or all smiles and they don't give you that "welcome home" feeling. The breakfast is subpar. I think they use powdered eggs and they offer whole fruit but not really fruit already cut up. No room service! No complimentary water (at least upon arrival) unless you are a gold or diamond HHONORS member.

4 stars is staff was more friendly and they step up the breakfast a bit. No 5 star without room service.

Room was clean and the beds were comfy. There was only one towel hook for a room that sleeps 3 which was a little weird. A little construction noise in the morning but otherwise a good stay.

If I could get this place 10 Stars, I would! Everything from the staff to the room to the service was exceptional. My wife actually lost her very expensive wedding ring in the room, and the cleaning crew from the next day, after we checked out, found and turned it in. You don't find honesty like that everywhere you go. This place rocks

Great experience. My girlfriend left her jewelry bag behind and didn't realize until a week later. We called the hotel and they had the item secured in housekeeping lost and found. Shipped it to us at no cost. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was always very polite and accommodating. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and had a reasonable amount of options. The best benefit, if staying during the week, is the complimentary dinner and drinks. It totally offsets the $30/day valet parking. I would stay here again.

Our room is beautiful and clean along with the hotel. The staff is very friendly. Food is ok but not great. And it's confusing having 2 hotels in one. 2 different breakfasts areas. Will stay here again.

Still working out its glitches.
We stayed here to be able to walk to the stadium. Many people were staying here for the same reason. At check in, we had to wait several minutes to get up to our room because the three elevators could not accommodate the amount of people checking in. We arrived at our room only to find that it had not been cleaned from the last visitors. (We call downstairs and they quickly sent someone to remedy the situation.) After the game, we had to wait a very long while to get up to our room because one of the elevators had broken, so only two or working. Because this hotel is a high-rise, it does not have stairs accessible internally, I was told. This means that all stairwells lead to the outside of the hotel instead of being an alternate means for getting up to your room.

The rooms are nice, if not somewhat small, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good. I think they just need time to figure out the little details.

Another contributing factor to the 3star rating: When getting our car from the valet, I was told that I couldn't have my key until I showed them a receipt. I had given them the stub from when we checked the car in, and that the front desk person had told my husband he could give to the valet to get our car.

I told the valet, after this slight mix up, about a possible miscommunication between what the front desk is telling people and what their procedures are. I didn't understand the head valet's explanation for why it was the way it was, truthfully. I'm sure they know what's going on, but when I'm told I can get my car with the stub I have, I want my car...not to be told "I'll give you your key when I see the receipt."

AMAZING concept hotel! Great employees! Victoria at the front desk was absolutely pleasant to speak with on the phone before my arival. Kameron, the Front office Manager checked me in; TOTAL professional and runs a fun, but great "ship" here! I booked and am staying in a King Study suite. LOVE the spacious design, furniture, and of course the kitchen is why I choose Homewood! Great location; amazing staff, including the valet! Highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Houston! Close to convention center, and all attractions downtown! Way to go Hilton for a great new location!
