ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Exceeded all my expectations except for the front desk staff. I asked for assistance several times and never got any. Not even a return phone call.
The evening social was decent, but fell a little short of my expectations. Salad and soup every night, with some proteins on some nights.
I didn't use the pool, but it seemed upkept. Parking was a little scarce and the entrance was nearly a death-trap during rush hour traffic.
The elevator seemed to have issues. One time it traveled up without shutting the doors. Other times it "bounced" on me, jolting me and others around which was a first.
Location is good, minutes away from the airport, but if you are flying out, GET THERE EARLY. TSA there is slow as molasses in an Alaskan winter. My flight was pushed back because there was only 2 (yes 2) TSA personnel working; one checking IDs and one checking bags and running the scanners. The pilot had to get the airline to push the time back so that all the passengers could board. Nothing to do with the hotel, but bonus info for your trip.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again!!!

The hotel room was very nice but when I arrived at breakfast I accidentally grabbed to much bacon and I heard the staff talking about it in a very rude manner. Have you heard of manners? Aparently not. So do not grab to much bacon or the staff will talk about you behind your back. I am NOT sorry to say the breakfast staff are jerks. You heard me, jerks, but it was a very nice experience besides the bacon incident.

No actual hot tub, dark and dreary. Decent breakfast, had to wait on coffee, no free toothbrush. Pool was fine. Big kitchen. Great for our family of 6

I am always a big Hilton fan and this location did not disappoint. We were given a huge room and the front desk folks were super friendly. The room was very clean , good WiFi and good tv selection. The breakfast was of the typical assortment but fresh and the staff was very helpful there as well. The only disadvantage I found was it is quite a distance from I-10, it seems longer than it actually is I would say it was 5-6 miles, but worth the extra drive. There were several places to eat near by even late at night. If traveling thru Lafayette LA. This Homewood Suites is a great choice.

Fantastic hotel! I really enjoy the Homewood Suites brand, but this hotel is one of their gems. It's a beautiful hotel with Louisiana charm built into the design. The lobby and dining areas are gorgeous with 20ft ceilings. It's elgant and charming at the same time. The rooms are more than comfortable. It's like a mini apartment and would easily accommodate 4 people. The bed was on the former side but I slept like a rock. Feather pillows need to offer a bit more support but I had 4 of them and bundles them up fine. There is a basketball court and a very nice pool and hot tub. The fitness center has multiple treadmills and a good collection of dumbells. I work out regularly and it had everything I needed. The breakfast could be improved as I was expecting a greater selection, but it met my simple needs.

Spent a couple days at this hotel for a professional event. I did not however stay overnight so my experience is limited to my observations of the exterior, dining, and banquet halls. The staff here is very nice. Super friendly and attentive to guest needs. I saw their breakfast menu and it honestly looked better than what I was getting at the other Hilton Home2 down the street. Easy parking, and clean restrooms as well. However: This building is dirty. The exterior is dirty and the interior is dusty. Pictures hanging on the wall were crooked, dust was piling up on ledges and the carpet in the banquet hall had gum and other food stains in many areas. The air conditioning had a mildew smell in the banquet hall as well. I hope that this hotel is simply past due for a full renovation and will get one soon. It really has the potential to be a nice place if it's taken care of. The staff were wonderful and I look forward to trying this place again for another professional or corporate event!

Good service. Breakfast was good also. They should probably update their picture with the pool and hot tub, the hot tub was concreted in so they no longer have it.

I love this place. Angel, of the dining staff is a real asset and a welcome sight each morning. Front desk staff are very helpful and always greets you with a smile. Can't say as much for the housekeeping staff. My company uses this hotel for all our staff visits and many of us appreciate it.

Really boring experience. Elevators are shady, beds are uncomfortable, pillows were thin and cheap, room was dirty upon arrival, breakfast was mediocre; wouldn't stay here again. Staff was very friendly, though and the location is great.

7

The reason I gave 4 stars was because of the staff..Kevin helped us at 5:00am to get a new room..Angel was great at breakfast even on the mornings when plates were hard to find and the next morning when there were NO forks at all..Destine at the front desk was also helpful and did all she could to make us feel better about our stay..we have stayed at over 30 Hilton properties recently and this one by far, was the most tired....very slow elevators, mold in at least 2 places on the hallway ceilings, bugs in our bath light fixtures, no housekeeping until after 6 pm and even then there were no clean sheets; an ice machine that was so noisy during the 5 days of our stay that one probably could not sleep if room nearby..manager responded but it was not fixed. .good food and very pleasant staff..

I really liked staying at the Homewood Suites! To start, my room was HUGE. They gave me a suite, and it was like having an entire apartment to myself. The location is okay for travelers; very close to the airport. There's also a decent amount of food (Raising Cane's, Taco Bell, Yogurtland) nearby and walkable. The front desk staff in the evening was super helpful and fun. The breakfast was normal, and pretty good (they did have jamabalaya for breakfast too). I recommend it for anyone going to LFT!

I stayed the night here with my mom and wife. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and waffles. Ask for boiled eggs if you'd like that instead.

Rated 5 stars to make sure this was posted. Seriously dissatisfied. There was a roach in my room, the gazebo by the pool was crawling with roaches . the first time we used the restroom the toilet was stopped up . The hot tub was out of order. There is only one elevator in the entire hotel and its slow as molasses. This place is most definitly not worth the $300 paid for one night.

Rare to find 2 bedroom 2 bath suite and very nice for our family. The neighborhood is not walk-friendly though; it's almost impossible to cross busy surrounding streets. We drove to Girard Park adjacent to Univ. of Louisiana to walk and jog.

King suites are spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette is well stocked and items are clean and easy to find. There is always coffee and tea in the kitchen, and there's a soda machine nearby if you prefer. This is a great choice for a quick get-away, and I'd look for the same chain out of state.

The rooms are very large and come with a full kitchen. Fairly quiet, can't hear much outside of the room. The breakfast in the morning is good, not a lot of options, but what they have is good. There are a few restaurants in the area that you can walk to.

The hotel itself is very nice and would be a 5 star, however i didn't have good experience with the front desk. Got to the hotel around 5pm and she told me the room is not ready and told me to go to the dining room. After I ate, went back to the front desk to make changes to my reservation because I want to check out for the weekend and come back for the following week. She said she can't make changes and gave me the 800 phone number. i called that number and he sounds like he don't know nothing much and told me to talk to the front desk.

The next day, after work i went to the front desk to make a reservation for three weeks in advance, and she told me to call the 800 number again. I didn't say anything and just walked away. What does the front desk do anyways? just check in and check out people?? I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I CAN'T MAKE CHANGES (before check in) OR A RESERVATION (3wks advance) AT THE FRONT DESK. it's frustrating when all you do is giving just me the 800 phone number. I work, commute an hour and already tired so i dont want have to call and talk to the 800 phone number people where they locate somewhere else

like i said the room itself is very nice and clean, loved the room and Homewood suites is one my favorites but i just don't like the front desk experience at this location

Great location, rooms are very nice. Totally screwed me on the rates!! when bill was recieved, i was charged for a double room instead of single room. The bill was almost twice what i was expecting to pay!! Customer service was not overly helpful. Did not offer to refund and of the charges. lesson learned.
