Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Comfortable, efficient, well setup, and great location. We stayed here while waiting for the closing on a new home. Would have liked the their to be more obvious vegetarian meal options, but otherwise, food was reasonable and plentiful. Facilities were excellent. We made good use of the pool and the spa. Definitely recommend the Homewood Suites for anyone in a similar situation.

Updated and large comfy suites. The included breakfast and dinner are better than some of the surrounding hotels.

The room and hotel was nice, but my blackout curtains would not close and there was a very bright light shining into my room all night

The hotel is quite pleasant overall...the rooms are nice....since the upgrades they are much nicer than many others in the area. The problem however is the MANAGER. He should take some lessons on how to be less rude and obnoxious. He is unreasonable and obviously full of himself. The most unfriendly and rudest person I have ever met. Very unprofessional and extremely phoney. His staff is half and half. Some more friendly and helpful than others, but be careful as you may feel that knife stabbing you in the back...and some make you feel like you are bothering them. Is it not their job to provide service with somewhat of a smile? Why are you there if you don't want to do your job? There are plenty of people that would jump at the chance to have a job, so put a tiny bit of effort into being a customer service representative....it is your job! And that in itself falls on management too. Stop hiding in the back rooms and pay attention to what's going on around you. Just because a guest has a question or concern, it does not mean they are a problem guest, so stop looking at it that way...they pay good money to stay there. Granted, they provide breakfast and dinner for 4 nights, but it's not free! You're paying for it in the high room rate....As I said, some of the people there are great. But alot of them, not so much. And for the cost you pay to be there, everyone one on the payroll should be great. But that may be too much to ask. So, in my opinion, a short stay is not so bad. Long term...find somewhere else to go.

We stayed at Homewood Suites for a week. This is definitely my preferred hotel when visiting Long Island. The hotel staff is very friendly and professional. The room was nicely appointed and clean. The indoor pool and hot tub were very and the pool area well maintained. We were I. A one bedroom suite and while it was a nice room, It was difficult to regulate the air conditioning.

Room was ok, was advised I received an upgrade for my room but it seemed like a downgrade. Additionally the room I was given wasn't ready yet when I walked in. House keeping was still in the room. Beyond that overall it was not a bad experience.

Stayed here for over a month. Staff are friendly and professional. Manager seems to always be on site to help when others cannot. Breakfast and dinner are always good. My only complaint: the cleaning lady kept giving me new soap, so by the end of my stay I had a stack of like 30 unused soap bars and shampoo bottles. It wasn't really a problem, it was just rather funny.

I came to this hotel for a professional event and only used a conference room. The lobby was very well appointed and clean. Bathroom had high-end finishes and was also very clean. The conference room was standard. I can't say anything about the rooms or the service at this point.

I had a great experience here. They served a very nice comp dinner the night I was there, and the breakfast was much better than in most comparable hotels. The coffee was not good but I don't have high expectations for free hotel coffee so it isn't worth a lower rating to me. Excellent hotel for its class.

The staff seem a little off here and waiting at the front desk for one of them to come and acknowledge you is terrible. The place is very clean but has a dark vibe. My room had grease stains all over and there were no utensils or any cooking utensils available for my needs . I checked out early, not worth the price homewood suites of of New York are way cleaner and better serviced !

Clean room, comfortable beds, and reasonable prices. The fridge in the room was useful for cold drinks and there was a shoprite very close by for last minute snacks and groceries. Random note: their TV options do not include pay per view.

We stayed here 6/2017. The suite with separate living area, kitchen and working desk was so convenient! The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and couch was too. Every staff member was super friendly and accommodating.

3 and 3\4 stars. Okay 4. Stayed in the 2 Bedroom Suite. Clean and beautiful. Me, the wife and the children were happy. The lobby and common area was nice too. Food was delicious the cooks were great. We love the pool and jacuzzi. Those was the good. Now the bad. We were paying 2500 a weak. Okay for the price I guess. They started acting like the room was too good for us. We had to call reservations the book The Room because they started saying they didn't have no rooms available. Mind you we were not loud or caused any issues. They started blaming one another. Now the ugly. Our money was just as green as anyone elses. The overall. That was a small thing to a giant. We still had fun! 4 stars!

A few months ago I gave this place 5 stars bit now I had to reduce it to 3.
As a returning customer I can see the place is slowly but surely going down. Our problem at this time was the pool and jacuzzi area. With some health issues we were looking forward to use the jacuzzi in one morning over the Easter weekend when we stayed in the hotel. The pool room conditions at 8 in the morning were the same as people left the area a night before after a long party. The jacuzzi did not even worked. Front desk was apologizing and their solution was to direct us to the hotel next door and use their jacuzzi. Just to be sure it is in good condition the lady called them and asked for a clean pool area. 10 minutes later we walked over and boy it was clean! Couldn't even breathe in the pool room it was full of chlorine fumes! I guess their solution was after the phone call to run in and dump 20 gallons of chlorine in the pool and the jacuzzi. We had to open the garden door to air out the room. We decided to stay and spent 10 minutes in the hot tub. That was a big mistake. Our skin is still peeling from the chemical burn... Like we took a dip in a tub of liquid chlorine! It is horrible and we will never stay in this hotel again ever!
Hilton couldn't even help us with another problem... 3 weeks earlier when we booked the double room we paid advanced over the phone. A few days prior arrival our plans changed and did not needed the double room anymore just a single. They could not change it, could not change it to another date, could not give us a refund, nothing. Doesn't matter if we called the desk, or the corporate office. I never saw such a stubborn unflexible company like Hilton. The nicest guy was this hotel's manager who promised and a few days later gave us 40000 points which is good to use for a one night booking in the future. So after all the problem got solved but it was a lots of hassle and we weren't expecting this kind of treatment as a returning customer and Hilton Honors members. My advice just book the room and definitely DO NOT pay in advance!
Otherwise the parking is convenient the place is fairly clean and the breakfast area and the food is good. If anyone works hard those ladies do, to clean up the mess left by customers! They would deserve 5 stars!

Excellent service, amenities and food. It should be noted that the option to save water by hanging up your towels doesn't amount to much; the towels will be replaced regardless.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, good staff. Biggest problem is either the walls are too thin or there were just bad guests there for Easter weekend. Noise from adjacent and upstairs rooms went on until 2:30 AM. It sounded like they were moving furniture in the room above mine.

My husband also had to put fridge back in space. Saved the place from being totally flooded out. Feel bad for the security and night desk person no one there to help. Was discounted an amount just the fact was away to enjoy and relax and had to clean up a river need some maintenance on site in overnight for this reason!

Nice place. Good breakfast. Except....

The AC in the rooms uses some kind of motion sensor to tell if you're there or it turns off the AC. I woke up at 12:30am drenched in sweat because the AC turned off and the room temp went up 10°. The guy they sent to fix it the next day didn't speak English so just trying to explain the problem was difficult and then he had no idea how to fix it so we had to switch rooms. Also, every time you leave the room the AC shuts off so you come back to a sweat box. The front desk thinks this is totally normal and can't understand why I'd have a problem with it.

Staff is the only reason they got as high as a 2. The people here were amazing and very accommodating.

The building itself is horrible. We got a 1 bedroom suite. You could hear everything from the hallway while you are in the living room. When in the bedroom you could hear everything from the other bedroom including what they are saying.

Never!! Had a bad experience at a Hilton. Wonderful employees, wonderful decor. The rooms are breathtaking. The rooms make you feel right at home, luxurious feeling not cheap. Amazingly comfortable beds. I mean wow, the Hilton is Absolutely amazing. The price is perfect without making you feel robbed. It's money well spent and you'd never hesitate to spend it again. I've stayed in Hilton all over the United States and never a bad moment.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Nothing was broken, everything in the room worked as it should (ie., the remote, flushing toilet, thermostat). The room smelled and looked clean and had a comfort appearance. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and a nice addition for our stay. The hot tub was a nice amenity.

Our secret weapon for family visits to LI. This place is very clean, the staff is very friendly/helpful and the prices are quite reasonable. The location can't be beat, as you have instant access to the LIE and you're centrally located for going out East or into the city. Great place. Highly recommend.

This hotel is great. Home like feel, hot breakfast served daily and its really good! Also hot dinner served Mon-Fri. Coffee/tea 24 hr every day! I was in town for business so it worked out great! Hotel price was similar to the area but also included food. Great sized rooms with full kitchen! Great deal!

Very nice place to stay with good size rooms. The bed, showers were great. Room service is very prompt. Breakfast is great. There were only 2 issues we found that Heat/AC units was noisy and Elevators are limited. However, we didn't have to wait for elevator during our site. But these were two minor items and I don't think I should reduce the rating.
