Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

One of the better hotel experiences I've had in a while. Ceiling fan over the bed and killer air conditioning, oh and great water pressure in the shower.

Service was great. We were promptly provided with extra blankets pretty late in the night. The complimentary continental breakfast was also really good. Overall, we had a good experience

Conveniently located near to access freeway, shopping malls, and restaurants. This location includes free breakfast - freshly make-your-own waffles, hot oatmeal, cold cereal selection, assorted sliced bread, bagels, English muffin, pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, hash brown patties, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee and tea.
Free wi-fi is included too. Room suite is spacious, sitting area, kitchenette, comfortable bed, and ceiling fan. You do not hear your neighbors next door, rooms are quiet.
There seems to have been some renovations but the elevator carpeting was not. Well maintained. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The Homewood Suites is quite a fine hotel. They have nice facilities that are new and updated. There is a good sized indoor pool along with a fitness center (a bit small, but nice), and a tennis court with basketball hoop on the same court. It is a nice hotel with what you need and more

Nice hotel, not in the hotel district. There's a cute small park nearby. Close and easy access to the freeway and local restaurants.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Monday-Thursday they offer free small plates meals and drinks in the evening and a nice selection for breakfast. There is a spa and swimming pool. The furniture in our room was very dated and uncomfortable, however. Not really on par for a Hilton property.

Best hotel in town. Reno has a lot of casino resorts that don't offer the basic for who is going to pass a few days in the hotel. Homewood is perfect, very good service, good breakfast, your room has a small kitchen (most of the hotels in town don't have that), nice happy hour from Monday to thursday, they listen to your ideas and try to make the best experience for the guests.

Great hotel - only stayed for one night, but my stay was great. If you've stayed at a Homewood before you know what to expect. Clean and spacious rooms, nice staff, the serve breakfast in the morning. No complaints at all.

While the staff was cordial, the room was pretty disgusting. Stained carpet, and stained furniture. Garbage not removed from previous guest. I am ok with a "well used" but clean hotel. This is not the case here. We left the same night, and went to a different hotel.

Despite located in the inner part of Reno and it takes extra effort to go to Truckee in the morning, we do love the service and room in Homewood Reno. Very spacious, clean, good breakfast and even free dinner on weekday!

I was very happy with my stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Reno, NV. The late afternoon socials had good food, though the pita "pizza" could have been crispier. The breakfasts were very good, but I was sad not to have stayed during a day when bacon was on the menu. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the only hassle came when the gardeners parked their truck behind my car, blocking me in. They moved it quickly when I asked them to, however. The hotel is near a Whole Foods Market, which is a great place to stock the kitchenette. I also ate a pretty good steak at the nearby Great Basin Brewery and filled up my car with inexpensive gas at the 7-11 just down the road on McCarran Blvd.

Excellent. Clean and spacious room. Kitchen is spotless. The breakfast choices impressive. They even have rice with Japanese seasonings...which I definitely lean towards. Fresh and RIPE fruit. Pet unfriendly, laundromat in-house. Due to busted water pipe and being "kicked out" of my home temporarily...they have made my life so much easier. Nice dinner of soup and salad and as simple as that may sound, they have additional items to make it that much nicer. Maybe I'm not used to this sort of treatment. The place my in surance company put me up the first night was just gross. Had I not complained, they would have left me there and pocketed the money.

Cozy, clean and amazing breakfast! I was just a guest in a room that was paid for by someone else so I don't know what the price was, but it was a very nice little suite. I was very impressed with the kitchenette being fully stocked with cooking necessities, even Tupperware to store leftovers. Internet could be a little bit better, though.

Location, room and service were all good. The only issue I had was with the complimentary dinner/breakfast they provide. They seemed to have only one person working the kitchen, couldn't keep up with dishes (we were having to wait for plates and cups), and we were told that they had "run-out" of certain foods. My family and I came closer to the beginning of the food service hours, so it wasn't like we had showed up as they were closing either. I understand that this is a complimentary service, but I wish that it was run a little smoother.

We have stayed at several Homewood suites and embassy suites from Boston to Sacramento. By far the worst experience to date. Breakfast was crowded, dirty and lacked supply. In addressing our concerns and expectations management offered excuses not solutions. Jacuzzi is down for repair. Nice! Pool is cold.
The only bonus us we are only staying two nights.

I enjoyed nearly every amenity and accommodation at this property. My only concerns were the room's thin and lumpy mattress and the front desk attendant (only the gal on nightshift, Thanksgiving) who seemed a bit confrontational.

I stayed in a really nice room. The room service was done everyday and I really appreciated it. The front desk staff was more than helpful with all of my questions and requests. I enjoyed breakfast everyday and the social dinner hours with great food and beer and wine to drink. The place of the hotel is really secluded and in a quiet area of businesses. I would definitely recommend it for anyone.

I came here on business, it's about 5 mins away from the airport which not bad at all. Hotel staff is awesome couldn't ask for more. The breakfast was pretty good as well as dinner, did I forget to mention free beer and wine with dinner can't beat that. Love this place im definitely going to stay here again.

Housekeeping was my biggest issue. When housekeeping would come, they would just make the bed. No vacuum, sweeping, and bathroom cleaning. I would come back to the room after work, and there would still be small lent rolls and other objects neglected by housekeeping. When requested housekeeping to come back, they never did. It took me escalating to the hotel general manager to finally have a decent cleaning for the room.

The room was a little smaller than the usual 2 room suites, but clean with a friendly staff. Pretty much exactly what I expect from a Homewood Suites. Good location too. Close to lots of amenities.

Really really nice hotel. Got a suite, it has a stove, fridge, microwave, two tvs and separate bed and living area and two tables. Free fast internet, I think it was 5mb when I speed tested it. Getting to this place is a huge pain. You need to go through a round about and my father made a wrong turn into oncoming traffic. Future entering of the round about was us driving a lot slower. Overall a wonderful room about 10 minutes from the casinos.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Reno for one night (the third time at this hotel!) Rooms were amazing as always, clean and fresh. We were told the hotel was fully booked, and for having breakfast during rush hour, they were able to keep up with the demand and left us very impressed. If you're looking for a place in Reno to stay away from from the gambling and the fuss, (even for one night) this is the place to stay!

My one and only complaint is you show an outdoor pool in two photos. There is no outdoor pool. These photos are also on the Hilton app which was the only reason I booked this particular location. Everything else was great!

The Homewood Suites is located south of downtown Reno. It-s quit and very clean. It appeared to me that the must have just replaced all inside carpeting. The room I was in was excellent. Plenty of on-site parking. All the admenadies, pool spa. & exercise room, etc.

I wasn't aware that a hotel could be so big and have so few employees, the entire 8 hours I spent there I didn't see anybody that actually worked there. I did see a pizza guy though and he was very respectful.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms with kitchen. They have in house laundromat which is pretty useful for long stay. Staff at reception is very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was a big let down...it's pretty much the same stuff everyday and you can't get anything customised... I couldn't even get omelet made without cheese. Even the utensils are not cleaned properly.

I have only stayed one night so far, but it has been so pleasant. When I arrived my room wasn't quite ready, so the front desk associate handed me a card asking to give them a call after I was done running my errands. After calling and arriving back, I was checked in quickly, helped with making an HHonors account, and was told all about the happenings in the hotel. Not an hour after I set up my room, I got a call from the front desk to ask how the room looked! I feel that everyone really went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. So great!

I stayed here instead of the Hyatt because of the reviews online but honestly it's a disappointment.
Pro: very friendly service, clean room and living space.
Con: The channels were sticky and the picture froze for minutes at a time on both the regular cable and premium channels. The breakfast in the morning was awful. I saw people raving about the quality, but it was the microwavable potatoes and instant burritos. They ran out of everything at 0915 even though it didn't end until 10. The helper lady acted like we're were doing her a disservice by asking for more (because we were hungry, not because it was delicious)
Also, the taxi company they called for us charges a $3 fee for using a debit/credit card! Do yourself a favor and call your own.
