ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed

• Promote waste recycling and recovery

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Everything is very nice and comfortable. The suite is spacious, with a separate shower znd toilet room. The kitchenette has basic dishes and utensils. There are 2 TV'S, one is the lounge space, and one in the bedroom. The hospitality clerks are helpful and friendly. There are grab and go breakfast items with brown bags available to help with social distancing, but the lobby is large enough to accommodate several guests.

An excellent downtown option!

Nearby to many great restaurants, and other businesses.

They offer an evening reception M - Thr, which is very nice. Also, they serve an included breakfast every morning as well. The suites hey offer are spacious and beautiful.

This is a great option!

Terrific hotel! Has every amenity & right in the middle of town. Breakfast is terrific, Beds are comfortable & rooms are clean & having an entire kitchen is very nice! Only complaint is that there is no door between sink of the bathroom & the bedroom so everyone gets woken up when you have to get up earlier. Parking garage is a little harder to navigate than a typical parking lot, but it's safe! Recommend!!

Amazing amenities, great updated room and nice customer service. I was traveling for business and stayed two nights here. I found the updated rooms very pleasant, with plenty of space for office work, cooking and relaxing. The TVs (two of them in the room) were huge flatscreens! Hard to beat the patio overlooking downtown, the mountains and blue swimming pools. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back there.

This hotel was very nice. It was clean and the decor was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very tasty with several options. It also has nightly social gatherings for guests Monday-Thursday, although we didn't get the chance to go to one. I would absolutely stay here again.

Experience was definitely a mixed bag. Pros- rooms were big and clean and pool area was perfect for the family. We stayed on the third floor on the North side and so our back door was facing a balcony that led straight to the pool, which was nice. Cons- the hotel tested their fire alarms without warning anyone. So everyone was scared out of their mind running down the stairs. It took hours for my kids to calm down because they were scared. The hotel did apologize and paid for one of our nights. However, they also promised to throw in some movie night snacks for the kids to make it up to them but they never sent them (even after asking multiple times). We'll probably stay there again and hope the cons were just flukes.

This is a nice, updated, hotel in a good downtown location. Unfortunately, my interactions with the hotel front desk were less than stellar, and as someone who stays at Hilton properties almost weekly, definitely not up to the standards I experience elsewhere. To simplify my frequent travel, I use the digital key wherever it's available. I ran into the issue with the digital key not working when trying to exit the parking garage on my first nights stay, apparently the digital key only opens the entry door to the garage, not the exit. I was leaving the hotel at the end of my stay, I tried to stop by the front desk to let them know about the issue and to get some sort of exit ticket. There was no one at the front desk, but one of the cleaning staff was in the lobby and as I was approaching the desk she went into the back to get someone for me. I waited about five minutes, with her going into the back again during that time, and still no one came out to talk with me. After another minute or two I simply gave up and left. With the other Hilton properties within the same area, I will not be returning to this location for my next trip.

Exactly what you'd expect at a Hilton. Very polite staff. Beautiful rooms. Fairly large hotel even though it appears rather small on the outside. Definitely a decent hotel. Only bad thing is it's less than a block from the current homeless shelter so the neighborhood can be kinda rough

Terrific hotel! First rate check in experience. Modern room with plenty of outlets, great wifi, good breakfast and an evening reception with lovely snacks and 3 free drinks (beer, wine, soft). Close to Pioneer Park. A longish walk or a short Uber to the downtown area. And the staff is just lovely. If you read my reviews I don't give 5 stars very often. This hotel earned everyone.

My experience was wonderful! My room looked new, it was clean, didn't smell over the top with freshener, and the staff was friendly. Most of all after checking out, and flying to my next destination, I realized I had left valuables in one of the dresser drawers. The Staff there was extremely helpful in finding my items and proceeded to mail them to my home. I can't thank them enough!!!

Pretty nice. Got a cool, mod feel to it. Great location if you like hip night life.
My one big complaint is they put me in a room right next to the elevator. You hear that thing run all night. So, if they try to.put you in a room that ends in "47", ask if you can get something a bit away from the elevator.

The hotel was going through a refresh, but the staff was great. The shower had low water pressure. The finishes in the room and all public spaces was beautiful! The teal doors were eye catching and made me feel like I was at a luxury resort! Parking was easy, I’ll certainly stay here again.

Nice hotel. Stayed one night. Parking is around the corner but the parking structure is connected to the building. The elevator is in the middle. The parking structure looks like it's being remodeled but you can still park inside. It's $10 a night so be aware. There are some restaurants within walking distance. All in all I would stay again. Maybe next time, it won't look like it being worked on and actually look done and clean.

The room was great (we stayed in a king suite)-spacious and clean. The kitchen had pots, pans, and utensils, and the refrigerator was new and clean. Breakfast was complimentary, and had a great variety. The only downside was the walls were pretty thin, so we were woken up early by cleaning staff/other guests moving around/etc. Overall very nice.

All things considered, this hotel is a good deal. It was recently remodeled and has a beautiful new modern feel to it. Customer service was great! There are great restaurants within a short walk (2 blocks). However, I wouldn't recommend walking around at night past 9pm. We noticed a homeless shelter about 1 block away with numerous homeless people walking around the park. Most homeless people are harmless and just need help. But I personally would want to know about this stuff before booking a room for my family.

One of my favorite places to stay when I am in town. The staff is so nice and pay attention to every little detail. They remember guests that come back. I often stay two weeks when I’m in town. I was sick one weekend I was there and they would bring my extra tissues and check on me. They’re so sweet. The room are very clean and nice. They just renovated recently so everything is modern and updated.

The hotel is beautiful inside, and the rooms are very spacious. The breakfast and evening social were both good, and the staff really went above and beyond. It's in an area where there are homeless people, but they are not aggressive and they are all over the city. If you plan on skiing during your visit I recommend renting a car or taking an Uber to the bus stop at the bottom of the mountain. We used public transit and it to nearly 2 hours. Other than that, it's a great place to stay.

Nice clean room with plenty room. Great location to restaurants, markets and bars. The breakfast was good, and the amenities were great. There was only street parking unless you want to pay more, and the view from the room was a roof, so not very scenic. Overall, very relaxing stay, nice bed and the room was great. Would stay there again.

The check-in was great.

The room smelled bad.

The bedding was stained.

The breakfast was meager and the food was poorly prepared.

The hotel is across the street from a very scetchy area. Out the door the locals live on the sidewalk and ask for money.

We love Homewood Suites but this was a complete nightmare. For $181 I expect better, much better.

Very nice. I chose this hotel initially because it has a parking garage and I didn't want my motorcycle to be stolen from the back of my pickup. Probably the nicest room that I have ever stayed in. Microwave, stove, sink (with garbage disposal), full size refrigerator, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. I'm planning on coming back so I need to find something to do in Salt Lake.

Amazing service and hospitality, downtown, vagrancy nearby, decent food and amenities While traveling alone for business on an extended trip, i stayed in a king suite. The location of the hotel is within a few blocks of a mall and downtown. This made it easy to walk to local restaurants and bars. It is located next to a park that is frequented by homeless. Although this park turns into an amazing Farmers market every Saturday morning until 2pm. There is a homeless shelter a few blocks from here which makes the vagrancy more apparent than most part of the city. I wasn't approached. Parking was in a garage under the hotel. There was a daily fee comparable to other downtown parking. The room was quite spacious with a kitchenette, pull out couch, full fridge, and great AC; there was plenty of room for myself and enough for a couple, maybe even a small family. What wasn't provided in the room already, front desk staff was happy to provide. Breakfast was provided every morning with decent quality and variance. I stayed for 2 weeks and the spread was good enough for me to continue eating it my entire stay. Dinner was served Monday-Thursday. Mostly It consisted of a soup and salad mix with little variety. I often supplemented the "evening social" with a local restaurant. Amenities were good throughout. Laundry machines were a little expensive but a lifesaver for my long trip. Dry cleaning and send out laundry was also available. A third story balcony pool and deck was nice to hang out over the weekend and even grill out. The lobby convenience store had plenty of drinks but litte food. However the front desk would do personal grocery shopping for me if i asked. The single Ice machine was on the fritz but front desk was quick to get me any from the kitchen if i wanted it. Service and hospitality was by far the best part of my stay. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make me welcome and appreciated. Kara and Veronica put the staff of other hotels to shame. They had me calling it home by the end of my trip. The front desk anticipated my needs and even made me a to-go breakfast when they knew i was departing before food service.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They did not serve breakfast on Sunday morning until 7am and did not have hot coffee until after that. There was one package in the room, but if you wanted more you have to wait. Also the food only gets a one star. I wish I'd went to Denneys it would have been much better. The rooms are great and the bed was very comfortable.

Room was excellent. Spacious and well appointed for a longer stay, with stove top, full fridge and freezer, dishwasher, etc. A good selection of cold and hot food for breakfast, a fitness room, and a rooftop pool. It's easy to walk to multiple places if you aren't scared off by the massive homeless population all around the hotel. The lobby was undergoing construction so we had to take two different elevators to get to our room. Other than that, a great experience.

The hotel doesn't seem to be in the greatest part of town. It's about 3 blocks away from the actual downtown section. I didn't feel comfortable walking anywhere. The hotel itself is clean. It is under renovation, so it's a bit of a maze to get from the lobby, parking garage, breakfast area and rooms. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Vinny....Where do I start? This kind Young man went above and beyond for my little girl in a day in age when you lose hope for the younger generations he's instilled it and revived my hope. My daughter was having a rough night with some girls at a birthday party because the girls were fighting. She called me at 2 am and I went to get her. I called the front desk Vinny answered and offered to go and escort her down to the lobby as well walked her out to the car ensuring she was safe. Now many may say that is in his job description but since when did anyone actually take that above and beyond? Most people don't even do the bare minimum of their described job. Then calling to tell him thank you he was very humble and kind. Vinny if you read this...Follow your dream! You are an amazing young man. Your momma should be so proud that she raised such a gentle kind soul!

Parking and staff are great. Rooms are large and well appointed. However, location is in a seedy area of downtown. Homeless shelter is nearby as is a park where several people congregate. There is a musty smell in hallways and room. Needs a refresher. If looking for a place in SLC and skiing in the canyons, consider a hotel closer to Sandy or Murray.

The nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was spotless and roomy, the hotel was completely full but we never heard any conversation or slamming of doors outside our room at any time. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Since it was underground parking I was relieved to find security there. There was a big selection for breakfast and they provided a meal in the evening. The pool could use some greenery around it and the hotel sign was blocked by tree's so it was hard to find but beyond that I truly enjoyed staying there.

We stayed at this hotel twice in April and were impressed. All the staff members were professional and treated us like their guests rather than customers. The complementary breakfast buffet was better than any hotel that we’ve stayed in and a bit different each day. The complementary Internet worked fine. We saw no need to use the pay Internet. We enjoyed visiting the old Rio Grande Station, seeing the art, and strolling through the farmers market on Saturday. The rooms are like small apartments with kitchens, but we didn’t use it. We hope to stay here again in the future.

I went to this hotel expecting it be better than the low-class cheap hotels because of the price I paid for my one bed unit. It was a great price but definitely not worth it! When I arrived I noticed the unit was very dusty, towels & rags were thrown in place, sink was dirty, kitchen dishes & utensils were VERY unorganized & looked like they were thrown in there, hand prints ALL OVER the bed headboard (& I mean it was COVERED in handmarks! How gross is that??), & the mirror in the bathroom was very dirty. I was very uncomfortable during my stay & didn't know if the bed I was laying on was even clean. I came to this hotel because of the convenient location & I also loved that they served a complimentary breakfast in the morning. When me & my husband went to the breakfast bar at 9:00 AM almost everything was gone. They told us breakfast was served until 10:00. We were very dissapointed that we had to starve that morning. We got super hungry & decided to check out their snack shop in the lobby. They didn't have much options but we managed to scoop up a couple drinks, small bag of cookies, & a little bag of gummy candy. When we went to pay, he told us it would be $20.00 even. WHAT?!? We then let him know that it's alright & we would be returning our items & he said "oh, I guess you can have them for $15.00." No thank you. We would rather drive to a nearby convernient store & get 10 times as much food! Seriously! Very unprofessional. I was shocked by this hotel. I've been to several hotels & this one was definitely the most expensive one I've been to & by far, the most disgusting unprofessional one I've been to as well. We will definitely not be returning!

My family and I stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City Downtown from June 20-23, 2014. This hotel is a hidden treasure. We loved everything about our stay and we will now recommend Homewood Suites to friends and family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The service of the staff was prompt and professional. Our kids loved the pool and the delicious breakfasts with several choices for even our picky eaters. We had previously been unaware of what a great family hotel this is. It was a highlight of our family reunion!
